XML confirmation message back to XI

Is there a standard XML layout which I could send back to XI which can confirm the status of "acceptance" or "failure" of a transmission?
From my third party application I would like to send an error message back to XI and have it update the message in the payload message monitor.  Is that possible?

Hello Gustavo,
Acknowledgements are aimed for this kind of problems (in the world of IDocs, ALE Audit is used for acknowledging the receipt). There are a multitude of documents  and HowTo guides available on this subject. E.g.: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

  • Is Confirmation Message possible in case of File to IDOC

    Hi Friends,
It’s a File (sender) to IDOC (receiver) interface. Once the IDOC is posted correctly in SAP, is it possible to generate a confirmation message back to sender file?
I want to know if there is any way to inform the sender system that the transaction was successfully created.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Friends,
It’s a FILE to IDOC interface. confirmation message back is needed to sender file, for that I followed the below link for Configuring the IDOC acknowledgment ALEAUD.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f6d2d790-0201-0010-9382-b50b499b3fbe
As specified in point 7 and 8, used the transaction RBDSTATE & created the variant SAP_AUDIT_SEND for report RBDSTATE and scheduled a background job at receiver system.
Here the problem is, acknowledgment for ALEAUD getting scheduled twice, as a result two IDOC’s ALEAUD is generated.Instead it should get scheduled only once.
Can any one tell me why the job is getting scheduled twice.
    Thanks in advance.

    Meghna.

OK, he must have just put that limit in because of some reports of looping, although when I tested it, it seemed to work.
If you are happy with running javascripts, there is a java script to do the same thing in the Apple iTunes COM SDK which you can download from here:
    http://developer.apple.com/sdk/itunescomsdk.html
I wouldn't bother unless you have some knowledge of how to run scripts from the cmd Window.
EDIT added later, sorry I am going mad here, I was talking about another script. What you need to do is to delete your iTunes preference files which resets iTunes to the state it was in when you first installed it.
May need to make hidden files visible
    My Documents>Tools>Folder Options>View
Check Show hidden files and folders
    -- Quit iTunes
    -- Delete C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref and/or iTunesPrefs.xml
    -- Delete C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer Inc\iTunes.pref and/or iTunesPrefs.xml
For Vista the files are in:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes

  • Jdbc adapter error on confirmation message in message monitor (rwb)

    I have the scenario iDoc -> PI 7 - > jdbc (AS400 odbc driver).
When I do INSERT statements, the data is stored in the Database and the RWB message monitoring shows status Successfull.
However, for every insert, an other message shows up in the message monitoring with reversed Sender and Receiver (so it looks like a confirmation message is trying to find its way back to XI). This message first is is Status "Waiting", and after some time gets in Status "System Error".
As I am not expecting any responses in my XI configuration (as I have no place to send them to), I want to stop these messages showing up in the Adapter Engine (as there will be many Error Status messages that are of no interest to me).
How can I stop these messages, or what should I do in XI to process them (and dump them in my receiver determination). I have NO  BPM involved .

    Hi,
For each open connection a entry is made j2ee stack. So when the it reaches to max and execption is thrown.
In Jdbc adapter configuration -> advance mode -> Set -> Disconnect from the database after processing each message.
    Should solve the prob

  • Get messages back on server?

I accidentally chose POP instead of IMAP for my gmail account in Apple Mail, and I was wondering if there was a way to reverse that and get my messages back on my gmail account.
I use 5 different operating systems and an iPhone, POP will NOT work as I need it to.

    Listen to V.K.
Gmail is not true POP. It only presents a subset of the messages in the Inbox (and also the All Mail) folder on the server for access as POP . Although without a certain setting, those POP messages will only be presented to the first computer or device accessing as POP, the messages should still be on the server. If you remove the account, and set it back up, and on the POP/IMAP settings page in Gmail accessed via the browser, select to have it download all messages, you will find them both on your Mac, and on the server.
You might also consider setting your Gmail account up for access as an IMAP account, but that is a different subject, perhaps.
If you have been using the Gmail SMTP, your sent messages will also be on the server, but if concerned you can copy the messages in both the Inbox and Sent to other On My Mac mailboxes until you confirm what I (and V.K.) am saying.

Take a back up of oim.ear. Also you have to know packing and unpacking of jar and war
These file you can find under
    $OIM_ORACLE_HOME/server/apps/oim.ear/iam-consoles-faces.war/WEB-INF/lib/OIMUI.jar//oracle/iam/selfservice/uself/agentry/resources/
    Restart your OIM manage server.

You can create a pl/sql process on your target page which executes before header and resets all the items to null and whatever else you want to do.

  • EndInstallEx return a -2 error-message back during installation

    Hi all
I have an add-on that we have an installer for.... It is running on multiple installations and works... However within the last month we have been getting reports that our installer fails when calling The EndInstallEx function that is part of an installer....
How to use the EndInstallEx from the SDK-Help
    EndInstallEx():
Call this function to notify SAP Business One that the installation has ended. Otherwise, the installation will be marked as failed. The function returns 0 for success, 1 for error.
Problem is that instead of 0 or even 1 we recieve -2 from the call and result in the add-on fail to install
    Some facts and observations:
    - We have only seen this happen on Windows Vista
    - However some Vista machines does not have any problems
    - UAC on Vista is turned off
    - User is logged in as administrator
Does anyone know what the problem might be and what -2 from the EndInstallEx function means?

    Hi Alexey
A few week back one of our resellers had the problem and reported it to me... I passed the information onto SAP support and they came back that the question had been with development but the would like to do a web-ex to see the installation.
A web-ex date was set but 2 days before the reseller came back to me telling me that the problem was now gone (and he could not explain why, he had restarted the machine a few times that was all)
I returned this to SAP Support who canceled the web-ex and gave the following message back.
    Dear Rasmus,
    Thank you for the update.
As I would like to see the issue in order to further investigate I would
say we cancel the WebEx for now.
In case the error can be reproduced again kindly send this ticket back
with a new date for the WebEx. In case the message was confirmed by then
please create a new message with reference to this one.
For now I would say it could be a temporary issue related to
authorization or other application affecting the processes.
Should you have any additional questions regarding this issue,
please do not hesitate to contact us.
    Kind regards,
    Friederike Mundt
    SAP Business One Product Support
I would advice you to contact SAP Support on the matter with relation to my message (Message number: 1100015), and let them do the web-ex on your machine instead...

  • Issue with page processing - confirmation message & show /hide a button..

    Hello,
I am working on a to do list application.
I have events and for each event, I show list of tasks (grouped in reports based on the calculated task's status).
In one region I have a drop down list of events and a Select Event button.
For each task, I had to create a CLOSE option (initially I used a link, but the requester wanted a confirmation before closing the task).
Now I have a checkbox for each task (generated dynamically with apex_item.checkbox(1,task_id)).
Closing a task in my application means to set the end_date to sysdate.
    I followed the instructions from
http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31036_01/doc/appdev.22/b28839/check_box.htm#CEGEFFBD. I've created also a button and a process and updated the sql from "delete" to "update".
The process is set: OnSubmit - After Computations and Validations; Run Process Once per page visit (default).
The issue number 1 is that I see the confirmation message (that tasks have been closed) every time I reload the page (the same when I click Select_event button).. not only after I press on that Close_task button..
For issue number 2, I have to mention that I've added a condition to show / hide the Close_task button, only if I have at least 1 task in the report.
The issue number 2 is that I see the button only if I click 2 times on the Select_Event button.. The same is for hide.
I feel like I am missing something very important about how to synchronize different events(buttons clicks), processes..
    help..?
    Thank you!
    Anca

    This forum is magic..
As soon as write here, I find the answer!
Issue 1: I fixed it by specifying this: When Button Pressed (Process After Submit When this Button is Pressed) and my button. I miseed this 1st time.
Issue 2: I moved the button after the report.. and now it's working just fine!
I did this about it for some time before asking the question here.. but I just had to write here and got the right answer ;)
    Have a nice day!

My contacts on my old Iphone I gave a family member were deleted then synced to icloud.  My current iphone lost all its contacts when it next synced.  I retreived a 6mth old backup to get my contacts, but I want my recent messages back, any help?

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts.  Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone.
