XML dynamic editing. Please Help

I have an XML file being returned back from a function.
This function is called twice,there by returning back
2 XML which are then added together and returned
as a CLOB.
sdiXML CLOB;
xml1   VARCHAR2(250);
xml2   VARCHAR2(250);
xml1 = createXML(.....);  // function using DBMS_XMLQuery to create XML
XML2 = createXML(.....);  // ""
sdiXML = appendXML(xml1,xml2);Code for function appendXML is:
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION append_xml(
        clob1 IN OUT CLOB,
        clob2  IN OUT CLOB)
RETURN CLOB
AS
BEGIN
  DBMS_LOB.APPEND(clob1,clob2);
  RETURN Dest_clob;
END;All works fine.
I get 2 outputs integrated into one CLOB.
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<SDIEXTRACT>
      <SDIOWNER>THEIRS</SDIOWNER>
      <CONFIRM_ONLY_FLAG>N</CONFIRM_ONLY_FLAG>
</SDIEXTRACT>
<?xml version = '10'?>
<SDIEXTRACT>
      <SDIOWNER>OURS</SDIOWNER>
      <CONFIRM_ONLY_FLAG>N</CONFIRM_ONLY_FLAG>
</SDIEXTRACT>
     Now,the problem is that when I try to open the this file in an XML Editor,
this displays the error 'XML not well formed'.
So I need to delete the 1st XML's </SDIEXTRACT> and the 2nd XML's <xml version..>
and <SDIEXTRACT> manually, so that the XML looks like and which is well formed.
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
<SDIEXTRACT>
      <SDIOWNER>THEIRS</SDIOWNER>

      <SDIOWNER>OURS</SDIOWNER>
      <CONFIRM_ONLY_FLAG>N</CONFIRM_ONLY_FLAG>
</SDIEXTRACT>      Is there a way by which I can merge these 2 docs toegther as a WELL FORMED thru the
application itself without the hassle of manually editing the XML code?
Has anyone understood my point?
Please suggest an option.

  • How to call communication channel dynamically? Please help!

    Hi Experts,
       BizTalk -
    > XI -
    > SAP SYS01
                          XI|----
    >SAP SYS02
       We are integrating Biztalk with SAP via XI. BizTalk send rosattenet PIP via JMS adapter to XI. XI then sends the PIP data to SAP system using RFC adapter.
       In the PIP we have a parameter for plant code. Now if plant code is 'ABC' then we need to send the data to SAP SYS01 else if plant code is 'XYZ' then send the data to SAP SYS02.
      In other words we have RFC communication channel one each for each SAP system.
      This is like calling the communication channel dynamically based on palnt code.
      How can we do this in XI? Please help!
    Thanks & Regards,

    this is a typical case for a XPATH based conditional routing. note that your receiver will have binding with the interface and the communication channel

  • I need to know how to connect different projects in final edit - please help!

    Okay, here's my predicament:
    I'm editing a movie, but I've been putting each scene together individually. I have a different file for each scene, and sometimes even small parts of a scene were edited in a seperate file. Now I need to piece them together, but I don't know how. I'm a beginer with this, I only have a basic understanding of Premiere. I don't understand all of the technical stuff. It was hard to even word this properly, so I couldn't just search for an answer.
    My original idea was to export all of the seperate scenes and then put those video files together in a project, but that didn't work. The size of the video too small. It only took up half of the preview screen. Again, it's hard to really explain what I mean, since I don't know the technical term for it. After that didn't work, I tried copying each clip from one file to another, but I didn't expect that to work. It didn't.
    Is there perhaps some export setting that will not make the video too small? There are too many settings, and I couldn't try them all. Or is there something else I could do? Please help!

    Put all your Premiere projects into the same folder (optional).
    Create a new project.
    Go to FILE > IMPORT
    Select either
    The entire folder where your projects are located (hence step 1) or,
    The individual projects you want to bring in
    Drag/drop whatever you want to a master timeline sequece in the new project and
    Sell your movie.

  • IBooks author: Can't open the file because "index.xml" is missing, please help!,

    A project that I was working on yesterday and I didn't close it, today when I wanted to work on it and opened a new page there was a huge X on the page so I decided to quit ibooks then reopen it, saved all my changes first of course, but then when I tried opening it literally 10 seconds later it says the index.xml file is missing, this is my technology project due tomorrow please help!

    This or a simmilar problems arose just after the last  iBA update. There is a very long thread dealing with this.
    I had a similar problems and nothing cured it until I contacted support and  they gave me a link to upload to their server, they repaired my file and I downloaded it.
    It actually took from start to  finish about 2 weeks.
    I "huge X" on any page usually indicates an image or similar content is missing.
    The usual suggestions are to close everything  down and do a re-boot.
    I suggest a search of this forum for the thread may be an idea.  Try this
    https://discussions.apple.com/search.jspa?peopleEnabled=true&userID=&containerTy pe=&container=&spotlight=false&q=index.xml+file+is+missing
    If you make a copy of your book file and change .iba to .zip, you can open the file and check if the index page really is missing.

  • Migration Oracle 9iR2 - Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, please, help

    Good day!
    Now I study examples from tutorial book "Oracle 9iR2 Data Warehousing"
    (translated to Russian) written by Lilian Hobbs, Susan Hilson, Shilpa Lawande. However my Oracle is "Oracle Database 10g Express Edition" and ( as I thought ) for this reason I can't perform these examples.
    Please, help me, if it no hard.
    First example founded on using "Oracle Database Configuration Assistant"
    and "Oracle Enterprise Manager Console". However, I not found them at
    "Oracle Database 10g Express Edition".
    Now I use only "Oracle Application Express" ( and SQL ). Please, tell me,
    if "Application Express" has enough functionality with comparision to
    "Oracle Database Configuration Assistant" and "Oracle Enterprise Manager Console"
    and how I need to do ? (It must, because 10 > 9)
    Second example founded on using SQL. First 80% SQL-commanfs of this executed succesfully. But command "CREATE TABLE easydw.purchases" has error message
    "PARTITIONing is not available." Really, in "2 Day Developer Guide"
    (SQL Reserved Words ) PARTITION is not exist.
    Can I CREATE TABLE easydw.purchases by "Oracle Database 10g Express Edition"
    (with PARTITIONing by other means of SQL )?
    There is full text of this SQL-Command:
    CREATE TABLE easydw.purchases
    (product_id varchar2(8)
    constraint not_null_product_id NOT NULL
    constraint fk_product_id
    REFERENCES product(product_id),
    time_key date
    constraint not_null_time NOT NULL
    constraint fk_time
    REFERENCES time(time_key),
    customer_id varchar2(10)
    constraint not_null_customer_id NOT NULL
    constraint fk_customer_id
    REFERENCES customer(customer_id),
    purchase_date date,
    purchase_time number(4,0),
    purchase_price number(6,2),
    shipping_charge number (5,2),
    today_special_offer varchar2(1)
    constraint special_offer
    CHECK (today_special_offer IN ('Y','N')) )
    PARTITION by RANGE (time_key )
    partition purchases_jan2002
    values less than (TO_DATE('01-02-2002', 'DD-MM-YYYY'))
    pctfree 0 pctused 99
    storage (initial 64k next 16k pctincrease 0)
    tablespace purchases_jan2002,
    partition purchases_feb2002
    values less than (TO_DATE('01-03-2002', 'DD-MM-YYYY'))
    pctfree 0 pctused 99
    storage (initial 64k next 16k pctincrease 0)
    tablespace purchases_feb2002,
    partition purchases_mar2002
    values less than (TO_DATE('01-04-2002', 'DD-MM-YYYY'))
    pctfree 0 pctused 99
    storage (initial 64k next 16k pctincrease 0)
    tablespace purchasee_mar2002 );
    Naturally, I also shall continue try find solution.
    Winni.

    Winni,
    Partitioning is only available with Oracle Enterprise Edition.
    Here is a list of features by edition:
    http://www.oracle.com/database/product_editions.html
    DBCA is not needed with Express edition because you can only have one XE database per server, and all options are pre-configured.
    Enterprise Manager Console is not included with XE - only with the other editions.
    You can get most of the functionality through SQL, Application Express and SQL Developer.

    Hi All,
    Thanks for your replies.
    They were helpful but this what I did that solved the problem
    I used the following code to set the required parameters
    item.getOriginalBean().setScheduleLine(new ScheduleLineInner[] {scheduleLine.getOriginalBean()});

    item.addScheduleLine(scheduleLine);
    Similarly all the parameters were set using the orginalBean

  • Error while trying to save page edits, please help!

    Hi,
    I am using SharePoint online 365 and when I try to make an edit to a page, I am getting this error message after hitting the save button.
    I had previously attempted at deleting the two lines of text in the HTML that would allow breadcrumbs to appear again, however when that did not work, I switched back to the original master page. ( I was ONLY editing a Copy of the master page, I never made
    any changes to what was in the original file.
    We are using the Seattle master page.
    Also, I am only getting this error message on some of the pages, not all of them.  I am able to get into the page and make edits to the web parts, then when I hit the save button in the upper right hand corner, I am brought to this page. This problem is
    also being recreated on multiple different computers logged into the same account, trying to make the same changes.
    I am really new to using SharePoint and can not seem to find a solution to this myself. If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.
    Or if there is an option to just restore to the very original file of the master page without losing any of the document libraries and apps that I have put together then I am willing to give that a try as well!
    Thank you for any help!

    It may have been deleted or renamed by another user.

    Try using SharePoint designer to connect to O365 and revert your master page, or else you can revert to the previous version of your Master page that was working before.

  • Report with subreports. Web Service/XML problem. Please help!

    Hi,
    I have a composite report (main report with 9 subreports). The report uses web service as datasorce and is provided with single xml file containing the schema and all the tables for the main reports and its subreports.
    The problem I encounter is that i have to establish a connection for each subreport in order to get it work and it is the same connection. Moreover, I have observed that each time a subreport is drilled there is distinct call to the web service.
    So, i end up having a single .rpt file which makes up to 10 unnecessary calls over http just get the same xml data ???
    I've tried everything to solve this problem without any success.
    Option 1: Removing subreports. Not posible because main report can not handle multiple detail section separately.
    Option 2: Using multiple detail section in main report and conditionally suppress rows. Not possible
    Option 3: Removing datasource from subreports and pass array variables instead. Not posible
    Option 4: Remove subreports and use crosstabs in main report. Not posible
    Any ideas?
    Please I would greatly appreciate any input, I am getting quite desperate about this.
    Thank you very much.

    Subreports make their own data connection, the reason why subreports are used for other data sources.

  • XML form frustration, please help! Points to all who help me solve this.

    Hi all, I am really getting frustrated with Portals at the moment for a variety of reasons, all of which I hope, are because I have little experience. I will try and explain what I am trying to do and that might help you understand (hopefully you will have come across this before!)
    Situation:
    -     A user wants to publish a News story to a few groups of users not all.
    -     We have a good Active Directory structure in place and want to user that as our security groups in the portal.
    Solution 1:
    Using Taxonomies, form custom properties and form classification
    Problem 1: We have 110 groups at the moment which contains Users organised by roles, branches, departments and floors. To set this up would take too long and administration would be a nightmare!
    Solution 2:
    Using Permissions on KM folders – News gets published into different folders
    Problem 2:
    As above 110 folders and 110 XML forms – Serious administration headache!
    The ideal would be to publish the XML News form into one folder e.g. /documents/news/ and have on the form, the ability to search and select which groups would have read permissions on the XML News Item. I have seen a similar form in Collaboration which allows you to select multiple members to a room, however I cant get access to this.
    I am sure this can be done however I am getting nowhere on my own so I am asking you all for a little help. If there is anything else you need to know then I will do my best to explain.
    Thanks in advance

  • Unable to load any XML from JAR - Please help!!

    Hi All,
    I am a student in the final days of my degree. I have been working on my final project for some time now, an applet which converts input text to a signal plot for line encoding schemes - AMI, NRZ etc. It is pretty much finished, but one small bug threatens to scuttle the entire project! I have been searching the web all day long for answers with little success, and as the castor forum still appears to be down I am posting here. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    The applet uses the castor databinding framework to load various XML data. I am using Eclipse 3.01 for development - when the program is run locally as an applet, everything works fine. When the program is bundled into a JAR file and nested into a clean folder with a html page and the jar file, when the command to read in XML is given, a NullPointerException occurs, indicating that castor was unable to access the XML files.
    Below is one of the methods used to make castor load XML data:
         public CodeSet loadCodeXML(String _codesetFilename)
              String _mappingURI = "schema/codes/codesets-mapping.xml";
              String _codesetURI = "schema/codes/" + _codesetFilename;
                    // Create a new Castor mapping object
              Mapping mapping = new Mapping();
            try                                                                 // Attempt to load in the selected XML character set
                 mapping.loadMapping(_mappingURI);                    // Initialize 'mapping' with the map file
                Unmarshaller unmar = new Unmarshaller(mapping); // Create a new XML Unmarshaller that uses 'mapping'
                // The line below creates a new CharSet object called _codeset and populates it with the XML data
                CodeSet _codeset = (CodeSet)unmar.unmarshal(new InputSource(new FileReader(_codesetURI)));
                // The character set was successfully loaded, so pass new CharSet object back to caller and end
                return _codeset;
            } catch (Exception e) {
                 // If an error occurs while extracting the XML data, this block will execute:
                JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, e);               // Display a message dialog containing the exception error
                return null;                                             // Do not return a CharSet object to caller
         }It would seem to me the problem lies within
              String _mappingURI = "schema/codes/codesets-mapping.xml";
              String _codesetURI = "schema/codes/" + _codesetFilename;I have read that files inside a JAR can be accessed in this way ( http://archive.codehaus.org/castor/user/msg00025.html ) but it won't appear to work.
    If these are set to a full system path (outside any JAR) i.e. "/home/me/proj/schema/codes/codesets-mapping.xml", the application operates fine. Clearly this is no good however, as the XML data must reside within the JAR package. I have tried many permutations such as "jar://schema/..." , "/schema/..", "schema/..", with no success. I have read of using InputStream and getResource methods to access files within the jar but have had no success. I have checked the schema dir is being put into the JAR archive.
    Could anyone suggest an appropriate way of loading XML files from within a JAR file in this context?
    Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Hi, me again..
    Re: mr_doghead - the filename of the file is passed from the calling function
    public CodeSet loadCodeXML(String _codesetFilename)eg loadCodeXML(ami.xml) will return a CodeSet object containing the ami xml data
    Anyway, I've manged to fix it up. The problem actually lies within castor, not my code at all. This is a known bug in castor that the dev's deemed 'not important' to fix, but I have to say the work around is EXTREMLY poorly documented online. Hence, this post is just to say how to fix it up if ne1 else is having trouble...
    To load mappings, use:
    mapping.loadMapping(getClass().getResource(_mappingURI).toString());where _mappingURI is a string such as "/xml/mapfile.xml"
    However, the unmarshalling method takes in a file object, so getResourceAsStream must be used:
    CharSet _charset = (CharSet)unmar.unmarshal(new InputSource(getClass().getResourceAsStream(_charsetURI)));Where CharSet is your custom object you are marshalling into, and _charsetURI is a relative path to your xml file.
    Ugly as hell? Very.
    Does it work? Perfectly.
    take it ez guys, time for me to go hand this sht in! ;D
