Xml --- edit tag libraries

I am currently using Dreamweaver 8.0 on Windows XP OS.
I have created an xml file and added some data. However the
format of the data is presented as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<productListing title="ABC Products">

</name>

But I would like to view XML files in the following format
without line breaks:

I looked at the tag libraries to see if I could edit
something there, but had no effect.

Make sure you have the tld files and all the related tag libraries
available.

How to handle external tag-libraries in JSPs using Oracle Stellent?

I have already started the execution of JSP engine in Oracle Stellent, and also could run the sample Tomcat web-application and basic JSPs in Oracle UCM. What I need to do, is to customize my JSP to be able to show/hide some content using Oracle Stellent.
I have a JSP, from web application, which is using some some tag-libraries from spring, etc.

Hi ,
Check if you have jstil.jar in WEB-INF/lib location , if missing manually add jstl.jar into WEB-INF/lib restart UCM Managed server .

Jsp tag libraries

hi All,
I am receiving an error when i come to start a jsp page, it returns null pointer exception. so when I checked it is coming from the JSP tag Libraries. instead of the jsp libraries there is a null pointer exception . so any clue how to fix that ?

Yes, marika, download the Jakarta JSTL implementation, unzip it, and put it everything in its /lib directory in your WEB-INF/lib. Then you can refer to the taglib in your JSPs like this:
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>That's all you need to do. No <taglib> in your web.xml or anything else. - MOD

Problem using JSTL tag libraries with OC4J 9.0.3

I'm using the JSTL tag libraries with OC4J 9.0.3. I'm using JDeveloper10.1.2. I put the fmt.tld and c.tld in the WEB-INF directory and I'm adding the jstl.jar and standard.jar library to the EAR file. Both tlds have:

Register Tag libraries?

I just started usign BEA Workshop, it looks great except it is not behaving well with my function tags.
I have:

${funk:contentURL(entry)}This works fine when i run it, but in the environment, I get an error:
"The prefix "funk" is not associated with an imported tag library"
Is there a way to tell it what taglibs i am using? The .tlds are in the META-INF directory for an included project.

Workshop recognizes all .tld files present below WEB-INF (or within its sub-folder).
i. if you have defined the tld file in web.xml then you can use the <taglib-uri> entry in defining <%@ taglib...%> directive
ii. in case you do not define <taglib> in web.xml then you can directly use the <uri> defined in .tld file
Workshop also handles the situation when .tlds are not physically present within WEB-INF but instead present within .jar file which is on classpath
IMPORTANT:
Tag Libraries view does not populate with tags for tlds picked from .jar file, unless defined in the page using taglib directive.

JSP, Tag Libraries, Tomcat 4.1

Due to an internal decision to place all content within certain categories: for example, we would like all our JSP pages to be in one directory, our TLD files to be in one directory, our images to be in one directory, etc. I would like to be able to set up two Tomcat Contexts (sites). One for /jsp and one for /tld. Is it possible to load the tld and tag class handler in one context and the jsp in another context and call the tag handler even though they are in separate sites? The first reaction someone might have is to just place everything in separate directories under the same context. Well, we do not want to do this because we do not want to use relative URLs. Our testing systems are Window 2000 so it is not a big deal. But our production server is OPENVMS. We want to use aliases for everything. /jsp for JSP pages. /tld for tag libraries, etc. Any thoughts?

Yes, this is a follow-up question to my initial question. However, I was trying to take a different approach after reading the inital comments and doing lots and lots of stupid little tests.
I have tried all three methods of using the mappings that you have suggested. And in every case, I cannot get the JSP page to recognize the location of the TLD from the URI unless I use a context in Tomcat or a relative URL for the URI declaration in the JSP page. So I must be doing something wrong. I am going to post what information is not business sensitive and see if you can find an error.
However, with that being said. We have a specific alias/directory structure we must maintain on the OPEN VMS system. In order to do so, so we can maintain a programmer and a "live" environment we must be able to use these aliases for all our file types. Don't get me wrong, we can use these alias' within the same context of Tomcat, but we must make sure that we can still access or JSP, TLD, and servlets using some sort of alias and NOT using relative URLs. All the dynamic stuff in Tomcat while trying to use Apache for the static content. On OPENVMS, there are things called logicals which can basically be set up as an alias. The logical can point to a specific value, a directory, a group of directories, or even a specific file name or command procedure or anything else you can logically use it for. We have to use these logicals in order to set up our site. These logicals are part of the system security of OPENVMS and this helps us determine which enviroment we need to use for which user.
Hope this gives a bit more informed information.
Currently, the tld and .class file are packaged into a webMenuTag.jar file in the "vsjsp" site.
There are no references to the TLD or Tag Library in the web.xml file. So here is the tld file and also the snippet of the jsp file. The class file is called webMenuTagHandler.class.

Editing Tags in itunes - does tag info stay with file?

I have a question about editing tags in itunes, hopefully I can explain myself clearly enough here...
I have a very large music collection...almost 10,000 files now, and have spent alot of time editing the tags, renaming mispelled artists and song names etc...my question is, when that tag is edited, will all that tag info remain intact when I copy the actual mp3's to another computer? I want to back all the music up to my laptop, which is running same version of itunes, but I don't want to have to start over again with editing the tags. When I initially put the files on my computer the tags were really messed.

Making XML elements (tags+attributes) visible in layout for PDF and print. Possible?

Is it possible to have the XML structure (tags and attributes) be made visible and formatted in the layout? Such a hard-copy reference of the layout (a print and online Drupal publication) would make the XML visible to those persons writing/editing content but who are not using InDesign or XML viewing/editing programs. And this would improve workflow considerably. TIA

Is there a way to create editable tags in a dashboard section?

Is there a way to create editable tags in a dashboard section?
The requirement is - User should be able to enter comments in a edit box for a section in a dashboard and save it. For other users, this should show up as a non-editable comment while for the user it should be editable box.
Example: In a report in a section on dashboard for Supplier Trends, a Purchase Manager should enter the commments -" This weeks trends show no issues. Next week watch out for supplier X". For everyone other than him, this should show up as comments.
1. Is there a way to achieve this functionality?
2. Can this be achived using write back option?
3. Or will this require java scripting?

If you want to have a better experience of your music files, how about just use WMP to enjoy all the songs, you can
sort by Artists or Album or whatever you like. There, you can have a better and easier way to organize all your music
files.
For Windows Explorer, did you mean
medium size icons in artist, while list icon in albums, you can just organize as you want like the following screenshot.

ITunes 11 Edited Tags Changing/Reverting

I have an iTunes collection that has been building since 2006. I divide my music into a few categories using the "grouping" tag. Often times when I edit the "grouping" tag I am overwriting either the label or a web address which had been previously added to that tag. I also use Mixed In Key software to analyze my music before adding the music to iTunes. Mixed In Key enters the key of the song into the "comments" tag and the BPM into the "BPM" tag.
I have been doing this for years and lately I have began to notice a problem. On some songs (most songs don't do this), when the song is played iTunes "refreshes" the tag and often times the "grouping" tag changes or reverts back to the info that was previously in the tag, such as the label or web address.
Further, sometimes the key that is written in the "comments" field will change to a long code of digits... something literally like 00007658935482748193.. Always beginning with several zeros.
Is there anything that I can do to have iTunes hard rewrite these fields so that they do not change by themselves?

Yes, others are seeing this. Something in purchased media (I am pretty sure this has only happened with purchased media) is periodically checking back with the iTunes Store and resetting the tags in the iTunes library file but not in the actual media files (metadata are stored in both). I haven't seen a truly systematic diagnosis of the issue (I use an old iTunes and have no iTunes account so I can't test anything myself). There are temporary workarounds but tags will still revert after a time.

Error While trying to Get XML element(tag) Values

We are trying to get XML element (TAG) value from the XML pay load.
Example.
Getting XML String from a web service and then converting into XML payload.

From this XML payload we are trying to get an element (Tag) value.
We are getting following error

HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag

I am running into an error in my trace portion of my XML when executing my application. The error is "HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag". The HTTP request is successful with message 200 so it seems to be accepted by the Integration Engine. I looked for other posts on this error and only found one and it didn't show the resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't get out.print to work with XML jsp tags

I can't get this script to work with the XML stype jsp tags. It keeps telling me the <jsp> tags are untermintaed. Is there a special trick to fix this or do I have to use the non-XML type tags?

XML File Tags Validation Using Oracle.

Dear Forum Members,
I have a doubt regarding XML File Tags Validation.
First I will explain My Requirement.
1. I have to generate an XML File in a Predefined Format.
2. User will add some data in the elements, or he may copy the same elements and change to some data like
<Emp><Empno>10</Empno></Emp>
The above tag will be generated by the application.
User will copy the same and change to
<Emp><Empno>20</Empno></Emp>.
Now he want to Upload the Changed XML File to the Database table. This is done by parsing the XML File.
The Creation and Parsing section is over. But before Parsing I want to check for the Validation of the XML Tag. i.e. whether the tag he has copied <Emp><Empno>10</Empno></Emp> is chaned by mistake to
<Emp><Empno>10</Empno></Emps> or some other Mistakes.
What I have to Do..

If you e.g. include (concat) your DTD in your XML it will be validated against it!
