XML Form Window Size

Hi ,
Is there any way to set the size of the window.
Suppose i have a functionality implemented using XML Foem Builder Say News Item Creation. It has 3 Functionality as 1.Edit , 2. Delete and 3.Create New.
If i click on any of this Functionality it opens a Full Size window. I want to set this new window size as required.
Expecting some Valuable replies.

Check this. Under Parameters of a Resource Renderer Setting,
Target Window Type - specifies the window that a resource is to be displayed in, if the user opens the resource, or specifies the style that the resource is displayed in.
self: The resource is opened in the same window.
blank: The resource is opened in a new window.
fixed: The resource is opened in a predefined window. See Target Window Name.
favorites: The resources are displayed in the same style that is used to display entries in the favorites list.

XML forms: attachment size

Hello,
we are working with XML forms to create news. Also we have the possibility to attach km document to this news. The attachments are displayed as a link on the end of the news.
No my question. Is it possible to show the size of this attachment? Has anyone experience with this? If I use the properties I get only values from the xml file but not from the attached document.

How to make form objects dynamically fit into window sizes?

Hi,
Form objects are always static. i.e, stick to the disigning time window size/resolution.
When the resolution changes, the form objects will not strech to the new window size.
Many of the clients are unhappy with this incapable feature.
Is there any way to come out of this problem?

In teh hierarchy view - click on the Master Page/ Page1. Now on the object palette on the Master Page Tab you can choose a Paper Type. If you scroll to the bottom of the list you can choose a Custom size. The width and height dimensions are now available to you. The UI in designer limits you to 59 in. If you need more than that there is a way to get bigger but you have to do it in the native XML format. Let me know if you need more than that. Here is a modified sample.

Reducing the file size of an XML Form

We have created and launched a number of PDF Forms (created in LiveCycle) for our contacts to download, complete electronically, and email or fax back to us. The problem we are running into is that our email client allows us to only receive files that are 10 MB and smaller. We are finding that many of our PDF Forms that end-users are completing online cannot be emailed back to us because the file size is too large....which creates a problem.
How do we troubleshoot this? We cannot seem to optimize in Acrobat because we receive an error message that says, "This PDF contains an Adobe XML form. Such PDFs cannot be optimized."

Font size of label element in xml forms

Hi,
I am modififying the default xml template sap_app_news xml form in the form bulider.
I have added a new label in renered list with the cation as read more .
I want that on clicking the read more label the entire news should be displayed .
I am able to achieve this functtionality
Hosoever, the font size of this label is not getting reduced,
these are the properties for my label element
i) Caption Read More
ii) Hyperlink -Display
iii) Style -Functional Link
iv)Text Colr - Blue
v) Font -arial
vi) Font size - 2
vii)Display HT - No
viii)Width 80
viii) Height 20
I have changed the font size , height etc ..but teh label size doesnt get effected .
I havent craeted any new child in schema for this label ,
Can somebdy pls help . is it a bug, I have tried various combination but the font size of label is not reducing , color though is changing ..

I'm trying to configure the minimum height size of an XML Form iview without sucess. Even when there is no content to show, iview height size is around 80 pixels. When there is content the automatic configuration works fine and the iview is resized properly.
The iview has automatic size and the minimum size for automatic is with 5 pixels...
Any ideas?

Display XML forms in a single window-URGENT!!!!!!!

Hi,
I created a project with XML forms Builder. It is working but the thing is that now i just want to display all the forms in the same window. Means that when i want to edit a new item instead of a new window i want to work in the same browser.
Is that possible by configuring a resource renderer(NewsRenderer for example)?
Otherwise do u know another solution?
Please i need help.

I did as u said: I downloaded the file YOUR_PROJECT_NewsRenderListItem.xsl but i didn't find any _blank in the text. Let's say i have exactly the same problem than in the previous thread, i don't know where to add the URL and where to replace _blank.
I don't know where to find the method CreateXSLDocument(Detlev thread) and what is its interest?
Can u please explain where i can find "xinfo=window.open(url,'_blank',params)"? It should be (according to Detlev) in com.sapportals.wcm.app.xfbuilder.server.generator.xsldocs.CreateXSLDocument but i really don't know how to reach this address.

I am calling a report from Form; I need to setup the report resultant browser window size and appearing coordinates (like we setup stacked canvas height/width & XY co-ordinates).
How and where can I customize these coordinates?

What are the standard sizes of Window and Canvas for Oracle Forms to run on 1024/768 Pixel or higher resolution? We like to size the screens such a way that the users can see the whole Form Window/Canvas in both Client Server as well as Browser Based (deployed using Application Server).

Steve's values were the sizes for the web-application.
I myself test this so:
I have a parameter-table with width and height. The WHEN-WINDOW-ACTIVATED trigger gets this parameters and resizes the window.
Now I change the values of the 2 parameters in the db with Oracle Raptor (e.g.) and after that I return in my runform - the trigger fires and resizes the window to the new parameters.
If you found the 2 parameters for your environment, you should place them for example in property classes in a reference template. All your new forms then reference this properties and so all your forms have the same layout.

How to display attached file size in XML Forms

Hi,
I've created a XML form to store presentations general information like author, subject, summary and a RID field pointing to the ppt file itself.
I'd like to show the size of the ppt file but I don't know how... Any ideas?
When I use default:size property, the size showed is the XML size, not the ppt size.

Which is the JRE version which you are using ? Check this SAP note 1341069, which specifies that the properties will not load when JRE 1.6 is used. (Try 1.4 or 1.5 )
For author field try giving caption $sap_user, and schema reference, creator. For created which is date try giving /Properties/default:created, and /Properties/default:createdby for created by.

Increase main oracle window size in forms 10g

I am creating a form in 10g. The form has a window and a canvas. I have given scroll bar for the canvas which has multiple blocks (so that a user can scroll within the multiple records) and a scroll bar for the window so that the user can scroll at the bottom of the page.
The main oracle window which displays the messages and errors (not my forms window) is not the full size, its a little small (there is white blank space at the bottom) and I want to increase its size to full so that the users may not necessarily need to use the window scroll bar.
Can someone please tell me how to increase its size?

I think that others user could have problems, above all, with 'SEPARATEFRAME=TRUE'.

Is there a way to open it in the same window ( _self )?

Forms 10g window size in unix

Hi, when I migrated from 6i to 10g I added some code to maximize window size in When-New-form-Instance trigger of the form. It works in windows but when I try to run the form in Unix the window size is not big enough to see the whole form. i tried to change the width and height properties of the window1 but still not working. after researching the forum I found out that i should change the width and height properties in formsweb.cfg. In formsweb.cfg the width is 750 and the height is 600 should I change those numbers ? to what? and would it miss the rest of my application? or not? Please let me know it is urgent... Just like on Windows, the Developer suite will be installed in a similar directory structure on Unix. In order to change the UNIX file, you will need to be logged in as ORACLE on the UNIX server or your account will have to have Read/Write priv's on the formsweb.cfg file. First, will need to navigate to the ORACLE_HOME directory (typically it will be something like: /usr/oracle/ias10g/ depending on how it was installed on your server). Once in the ORACLE_HOME directory it is just like your workstation. The "formsweb.cfg" will be found in the /forms/server/ directory. If you put that all together, based on my example, the path to the formsweb.cfg would be: /usr/oracle/ias10g/forms/server/formsweb.cfg. If you have made it this far, I recommend checking the file permissions on the file.
Type:
ls -l *.cfgHere is an example from my test system.
-rw------- 1 oracle dba 22286 Aug 21 07:43 formsweb.cfgAs you can see in my example, the formsweb.cfg file is owned by the "oracle" user and "dba" group. Only the Oracle user has privileges to Read or Write to the file.
In this example, both the owner and the group have read write priv's to the file.
-rw-rw---- 1 oracle dba 22286 Aug 21 07:43 formsweb.cfgMore than likely, you will need your UNIX administrator to modify the file for you.

XML Forms - Upload window

Hi,
I would like to change the type of view that my upload window appears in. Currently its using the upload window with the entry point icons.
Is it possible to change this? Where will I be able to find the configuration settings for the xml forms layout set?

while creating Page itself,
Goto Property Category -> Select Navigation and then Set the iview property, Launch in New window -> Select Display in Separate Window.

Window size in browser with forms 9.0.4

Hello,
how can I influence the window-size of a mask/canvas in the browser ??
Same mask (created with Forms 6i) is well-sized, but after compiling with Forms 10g only a part of the whole canvas is displayed and its not possible to shift/resize the window. Even the statusline is displayed only sometimes (I tried different .fmb files )
How can I create therefore scrollbars ?
As browser I use Mozilla-Firefox 0.8
My OS is Windows XP.
Please help
