XML Gateway outbound from BPEL

We are trying to get the data from EBS using BPEL Process through XML Gateway outbound.
We created XML Gateway DTD and Map and successfully posting to ECX_OUTBOUND and other sysyems(WebMethods).
Now we are trying access it from BPEL. We created Receive activity to get the XML Payload from ECX_OUTBOUND. But Process is struck in receive activity. Receive activity is waiting for response.
I am not sure we may be doing some thing wrong. Please help us.

I have created screen-shots to show that.
Receive
Variable
Port
I have also tried adding header variable to receive activity in xml but it's not working
<receive name="Receive_1" createInstance="yes"
variable="Receive_1_Dequeue_InputVariable_1"
partnerLink="ECX_OUTBOUND" portType="ns1:Dequeue_ptt"
operation="Dequeue" bpelx:headerVariable="Variable_1"/>
Thanks for your help
Pawel
What's more: When I change port type operation input message to Header_msg i gets the message to my Variable_1 of type Header_msg but data loaded to it is in format of this PROCESS_PO_007_msg
I've found in documentation:
Supporting for Normalized Message Properties
To effectively set applications context values required in a BPEL process or to populate
mandatory header variables for XML Gateway inbound transactions to complete
successfully, Adapter for Oracle Applications provides a flexible mechanism that allows
each context value and header variable to be set and passed in the adapter user interface
directly through the Invoke activity. This message normalization feature not only
provides a flexible solution on header support, but also simplifies the design-time tasks
without using an Assign activity to pass header values.
Setting Message Properties for Applications Context
But there is nothing about Outbound transactions....

  • Connecting XML Gateway outbound to BPEL.

    Hello Folks,
    I am trying to use XML Gateway as a notification mechanism to trigger BPEL in Fusion middleware suite. For example XML Gateway in eBiz will publish a new hire event from XML Gateway to invoke a BPEL process.
    The problem I am having is getting XML Gateway event to invoke BPEL. Can some one point me to a tutorial? If you have implemented it in-house, could you please point me to a list of things to-do?
    I have gone through XML Gateway users guide as well as Oracle Applications Adapters guide, but still couldn't get the integration working. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

  • How to consume XML Gateway WS from a remote Oracle DB (10g)?

    Hi,
    I'm currently looking into consuming EBS web services, particularly the XML Gateway service from a remote database. For ease of use, I'm also using an Oracle 10g database.
    It seems there are several ways to skin a cat though. Hope you can help.
    1) Is it possible to use UTL_HTTP for this? If yes, can you please explain in detail as I have been trying to do this the past few days without success. Note, I was able to consume other web service examples, though. What url & SOAP action should I use?
    2) I built a proxy client stub using JDeveloper and deployed it to the DB. However my plsql procedure doesn't execute the java class. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Charina

    Hi Charina,
    Regarding option 1), the url for the service endpoint and the value for the SOAPaction HTTP heaader are advertized in the WSDL for your service.
    The value of the utl is provided by the 'location' attribute for the soap:address element within a port.
    The value for the SOAPaction header is provided by the 'soapAction' attribute for the soap:operation element within a wsdl:binding/wsdl:operation element.
    You can have multiple ports and bindings advertized in a single WSDL. If this is the case for you, you need to make sure that the operation you are tryin to invoke is from the SOAP binding; the one with the transport attribute set to "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http".
    Here is a WSDL snippet for illustration purposes:
      <binding name="CalculatePricePort" type="tns:CalculatePricePort">
        <soap:binding transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"
                      style="document"></soap:binding>
        <operation name="CalculatePrice">
          <soap:operation soapAction="document/http://siebel.com/OrderManagement/Quote/PSP:CalculatePrice"></soap:operation>
          <input>
            <soap:body use="literal"></soap:body>
          </input>
          <output>
            <soap:body use="literal"></soap:body>
          </output>
        </operation>
      </binding>
      <service name="CalculatePriceWS">
        <port binding="tns:CalculatePricePort" name="CalculatePricePort">
          <soap:address location="http://130.35.90.150/eai_enu/start.swe?SWEExtSource=SecureWebService&amp;SWEExtCmd=Execute&amp;UserName=XXXX&amp;Password=XXXX"></soap:address>
        </port>
      </service>Note that I took an example where both attributes are not using common format.
    To try to get this working faster, you may want to try to use an existing JAVA (or .Net) client and compare the working payload with what is generated by the UTL_HTTP package. It's usually faster to work of a working sample that to double guess why it's not working.
    Hope it helps,
    -Eric

  • Running custom BI (XML) publisher report from BPEL

    We would like to run a custom BI publisher (XML publisher) report from BPEL process and the resultant PDF report output needs to be FTPed to specific location. BPEL can pass on the XML content required for the report.
    Is this possible or any workaround for this ?

    Any light on this ?

  • XML Gateway Outbound transaction error

    Hi,
    We are trying to send a XML file to an outside vendor using XML gateway but facing issue in doing the HTTP post.
    As per the XML Gateway user guide I have setup the Hub definition with protocol type as being HTTP. protocol address as the one provided by the vendor and created a hub user.
    I have also setup a 'custom' outbound transaction type.
    And then setup a 'Trading Partner' linked it to the transaction type and the hub. and loaded the DTD and Map file.
    I am able to generate the XML file successfully but it does not get delivered or is being rejected by the vendor.
    I am trying to narrow down to if the issue exists on our end and the file is not being sent correctly or it is being rejected once it reaches the http site.
    I get the following error message on looking at the underlying log table:
    Response: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

    any help will be much much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Amit

    Yes i was able to go to the URL using my machine browser. Since Oracle is installed on a linux machine i do not think I will be able to install a browser and go to the site from the oracle machine. I also tried pinging www.google.com and that seemed to work so i am sure the server is able to connect properly.
    Can you suggest any other way to verify that the file is being sent out and the issue is on the other end? I was hoping if i could send the file to any other outside link that will be a good enough test of file going out of the network.

  • XML gateway Outbound process

    I am able to generate XML file in the ECX_DOCLOGS table in clob format but i want to store the file generated in the server in a specified location.
    Can anyone help me plzzz..
    Can we set up the HUB definition in the XML gateway setups.
    Thanks,

    What is the exact R12 release you are on? What is the OS? Database version?
    Can you reproduce the issue with other BPEL processes?
    Have you reviewed these docs?

  • B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway

    Hi All,
    I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
    Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
    Clarify my understanding please
    While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?

  • AP Invoices via XML Gateway using BPEL

    Experts,
    I am trying to create a process that loads an invoice into 11i Accounts Payables using the XML Gateway. I have done this manually, uploading a piece of XML using the Oracle Transport Agent Send Inbound html page and it works fine. I believe my applications environment is working correctly. However, when I attempt to leverage the XML Gateway adapter for invoices in BPEL 10.1.2.02 I am getting errors.
    For some reason I am not able to add one xml node (which processes the invoice) as a child of another (the entire xml message sent to the gateway).
    I'm trying to assign a piece of an xml doc to the message for AP/XML Gateway:
    <copy>
    <from variable="Invoke_AP_Invoice_Enqueue_InputVariable" part="PROCESS_INVOICE_002"/>
    <to variable="Invoke_1_ReceiveDocument_InputVariable" part="body" query="/ns5:ReceiveDocument[1]"/>
    </copy>
    What I am expecting is:
    <Invoke_1_ReceiveDocument_InputVariable>
    <part name="header" >
    <XMLGateway_Header>
    <MESSAGE_TYPE>XML</MESSAGE_TYPE>
    <MESSAGE_STANDARD>OAG</MESSAGE_STANDARD>
    <TRANSACTION_TYPE>INVOICE</TRANSACTION_TYPE>
    <TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE>PROCESS</TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE>
    <DOCUMENT_NUMBER>1</DOCUMENT_NUMBER>
    <PARTY_ID>1</PARTY_ID>
    <PARTY_SITE_ID>OSO</PARTY_SITE_ID>
    <USERNAME>SYSADMIN</USERNAME>
    <PASSWORD>SYSADMIN</PASSWORD>
    </XMLGateway_Header>
    </part>
    <part name="body" >
    <ReceiveDocument>
    <PROCESS_INVOICE_002>
    <CNTROLAREA>...
    What I get is:
    <Invoke_1_ReceiveDocument_InputVariable>
    <part name="header" >
    <XMLGateway_Header>
    <MESSAGE_TYPE>XML</MESSAGE_TYPE>
    <MESSAGE_STANDARD>OAG</MESSAGE_STANDARD>
    <TRANSACTION_TYPE>INVOICE</TRANSACTION_TYPE>
    <TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE>PROCESS</TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE>
    <DOCUMENT_NUMBER>1</DOCUMENT_NUMBER>
    <PARTY_ID>1</PARTY_ID>
    <PARTY_SITE_ID>OSO</PARTY_SITE_ID>
    <USERNAME>SYSADMIN</USERNAME>
    <PASSWORD>SYSADMIN</PASSWORD>
    </XMLGateway_Header>
    </part>
    <part name="body" >
    <ReceiveDocument>
    <CNTROLAREA>...
    As you will notice the <PROCESS_INVOICE_002> tag is missing. Everytime I assign it, the <PROCESS_INVOICE_002> will not show up. What am I doing incorrectly? btw - I'm not on this list so any (please!) responses will have to be copied to me.
    Thanks,
    Mark W

    We have exactly the same problem. The guides are not up to date and we can't find where to find information about accepting and processing inbound Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASN) through XML Gateway.

  • How to recover from XML gateway error when generating outbound message

    Hi,
    Due to a misconfiguration in other part of the system, our Purchase Order Request map (RosettaNet PIP3A4) failed on few dozen of orders and ended with an error.
    How can we restart the process and retry the map generation in XML Gateway (as now the problem is fixed)?
    Many thanks in advance,

  • Purchase Order to Purchase Order using BPEL and/or XML Gateway

    Hi,
    Is there a way to do create a duplicate Purchase Order in another instance using BPEL and/or XML Gateway? We're looking to do A2A transactions, namely duplicating data from one instance to another (of course the functional setups would have to be the same). Thanks!!

    this is the perfect usace for the upcoming ESB (shuffling data with transforming from A to B) - but this can be done with BPEL too .. there are some solutions to this
    1) on a database level (db to db)
    2) having events setup'ed in the master instance, that fire a process that get's the data
    3) and then using the functions from iRep

  • Creating a Web Service to handle flow between BPEL process and XML Gateway

    I am new to Web Services. I have never created one, yet I have the task of designing the following for a project.
    Any help as to what steps I need to take would be very very helpful. There is a lot of information on XML, SOA and WSDL out there that it can get very confusing, and sometimes you just need someone to point the way
    What I need to do is create a Custom Send and a Custom Receive Program (both web services) handle the message flow between an Enterprise BPEL processes and a Deployed XML Gateway.
    BPEL compresses this XML business object document (for faster transmission), and sends remotely to this Custom Receive web service, which in turn calls a decompress java program and then send the document to the XML gateway inbound web service.
    The Custom Send web service does just the opposite. It needs to take the business object document from XML gateway, call the compress java program and then send to the Enterprise BPEL.
    In a nutshell...these Custom Send/Receive Web services handle the message flow between the Enterprise BPEL process and the Deployed XML Gateway.
    What I need help on...
    -Creating this in JDeveloper- where do I get started?
    -How does a web service receive a compressed file sent to me via BPEL? Does it just sit there waiting for it?
    -Is this a synchronous or asynchronous design?
    -Will this be 2 web services (Send and Receive) or do I make 1 with 2 functionalities
    -How do I call the java compress/decompress program within the web service? (this java function is already created and ready to be called)
    -Is this decompressed business object file an XML schema and an XML message? Or just a message?
    -I need to send this to the XML Gateway Web Service to load. How does that work?
    -I have a Generic XML Gateway WSDL file...I assume I need to take all the info I get and map it to this template? Is this true? How do I do that?
    Like I said, any help would be appreciated. Links answers to my many questions would be fabulous.
    -Jason

    If you are talking about simple XML transformation of the SOAP payload between the client calling your service and the final destination of the message you are routing, the ESB approach may be a better fit.
    If you have more complex transformation in mind, with major processing and rework of the message in the intermediary, you may be better of with using the POJO approach. Write your service and embed a callout to the other service in your implementation. If the two services share the same Java Model, you may even be able to re-use the same Java Bean.
    To get SOAP Element instead of Java bean, you just need to use the noDataBinding option with either genProxy and topDownAssemble (or assemble). See the WS-Guide [1] for details. Chapter 18 will give you all the details about the different WSA command line parameters.
    Hope this helps,
    -Eric

  • Required Attribute style XML input from BPEL

    Hi all,
    We are integrating JDE 811 with BPEL using ORACLE SOA Suite 10133.
    As per the documentation given http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28996/bpel_pm.htm#CDEICHJB, we created the BPEL process to support transacation from BPEL to JDE 811. As given in the document we generated the WSDL in attribute style. For testing the BPEL Process, they have given the XML input in the document in the format of attribute style as given below :
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/GetYearDescription_SYNC">
    <ns1:jdeRequest type="callmethod">
    <callMethod name="GetYearDescription" runOnError="no">
    <params>
    <param name="mnCalendarYear">58</param>
    </params><onError abort="yes"/>
    </callMethod>
    </ns1:jdeRequest>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    and the output we received as
    <GetYearDescription_SYNCProcessResponsehttp://xmlns.oracle.com/GetYearDescription_SYNCPSFTcallmethodDV811*ALL>
    <callMethodGetYearDescriptionnourn:iwaysoftware:jde/services/JDEJAVA_CMFGBASE/B3000260/GetYearDescription>
    <params>
    <parammnCalendarYear>58</param>
    <paramszYearDescription>2058</param>
    </params>
    </callMethod>
    </GetYearDescription_SYNCProcessResponse>
    But, if we use the current schema and give input using normal HTML form on the BPELConsole then the error comes like
    WSIF JCA Execute of operation 'GetYearDescription' failed due to: Error in processing the input document.; nested exception is: javax.resource.ResourceException:
    Error in processing the input document.</summary>
    </part><part name="detail"><detail>javax.resource.ResourceException: Error in processing the input document.
    that is why for outbound integration we need to give raw XML during runtime as input to the bpel process in bpel console manually. and that input looks like
    Also in real time scenario, we are receiving the XML input from a third party software/Adapter that may be a flat file/.xml flat file/DB and we need to pass the similar data in BPEL to the JDE 811. Here we are not able to pass the data to JDE as the adapter accepts the input in attribute style XML.
    If we are trying to enter that input through a flat .xml file then it returns no data, as nothing is passed to that process.
    Any idea how we can process this without giving raw xml input manually during run time, means using normal HTML Form.
    if it is not possible then please tell me what will be the required XML that we have to pass as input in that flat file.
    Thanks,
    Anindya

    Hi All,
    SOAP based input is required for any BPEL process for testing in BPEL Console.
    We have created a BPEL process which is successfully receiving data from 3rd party and it is not in a SOAP format.
    That is why we are entering input manually (I have already described input in above post) while testing that BPEL process. and we can receive proper output (i have already specified what i am getting as output in my above post.)
    But in real time scenario we cant give input manually.
    how can we achieve SOAP based invocation during runtime??
    I hope my question is clear to all.
    please suggest me if anybody have any idea about this.
    Regards
    Anindya

  • Oracle XML Gateway How to download .xgm from the database

    I am trying to find the utitlity called DownloadMap.java to dowload the .xgm mapping from the database as stipulated in the Oracle XML Gateway Users Guide. I am not able to find this utility and could not get any leads.
    Our requirement is to extend the seeded outbound invoice mappings to add additional data elements before generating XML document.
    We will appreciate if any lead or explanation is provided by our community.
    Looking forward for a voice in our community in this regard.

  • Bind the output data (Xml) from BPEL process to ADF SelectOneChoice Control

    Hello,
    My requirement is to invoke a BPEL process from ADF page and display returned results in a select one choice (drop down box).
    I have created a Data Control for the BPEL process through Web service data control and tried to invoke the BPEL process. I could see from the BPEL console that BPEL process is getting invoked. But the ADF doesn't bind any of the output to Select one choice.
    It doesn't even show any error.
    Can you plz help me how to bind the output of the BPEL process to ADF SelectOneChoice control.
    The Xml Which I recieve from BPEL process is
    <outputVariable><part xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" name="payload"><DBConnectDemoProcessResponse xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/DBConnectDemo">
    <StatusTrans xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/top/DBSelect">
    <transId>1</transId>
    <fromStatus>Open</fromStatus>
    <toStatus>Assigned</toStatus>
    </StatusTrans>
    <StatusTrans xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/top/DBSelect">
    <transId>2</transId>
    <fromStatus>Open</fromStatus>
    <toStatus>Pending</toStatus>
    </StatusTrans>
    <StatusTrans xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/top/DBSelect">
    <transId>3</transId>
    <fromStatus>Open</fromStatus>
    <toStatus>Closed</toStatus>
    </StatusTrans>
    <StatusTrans xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/top/DBSelect">
    <transId>4</transId>
    <fromStatus>Open</fromStatus>
    <toStatus>Cancelled</toStatus>
    </StatusTrans>
    </DBConnectDemoProcessResponse>
    </part></outputVariable>
    And the toStatus node values viz, Assigned, Pending, Closed, Cancelled should get binded to the SelectOneChoice control
    Waiting for your valuable inputs,
    Regards,
    babloo.

    I have been still trying for the solution. I have modified the XSD created by the jdeveloper to,
    <schema attributeFormDefault="unqualified"
         elementFormDefault="qualified"
         targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/StateTransitions"
         xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
         <element name="StateTransitionsProcessRequest">
              <complexType>
                   <sequence>
                   <element name="input" type="string"/>
                   </sequence>
              </complexType>
         </element>
         <element name="StateTransitionsProcessResponse">
              <complexType>
                   <sequence maxOccurs="unbounded">
    <element name="stateChanges">
    <complexType>
    <sequence>
    <element name="fromState" type="string" />
    <element name="toState" type = "string" />
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    </element>
    </sequence>
              </complexType>
         </element>
    </schema>
    And I have given this XSD url while creating the Web Service Data Control by deploying it into the Oracle App server.
    So, I can see the tree structure of "Return" as "StateTransitionsProcessResponse->StateChanges->toState,fromState"
    I have binded the toState field of the Data Control to the SelectOneChoice ADF control in a jspx page by using List binding editor.
    I have selected,
    Base data source as "Variables" (Currently I don't need to update any table),
    List Data source as "process: getStateTransitions.process.StateTransitionsProcessResponse.stateChanges" (Web Service Data Control)
    Base Data source attribute as "process_input"
    List Data Source Attribute as "toState"
    I can initiate the web service (BPEL process) by providing the necessary input value like 'Open' or 'Pending' or 'Assigned' but the SelectOneChoice control doesn't populate with any values.
    Waiting for valuable inputs!
    Thanks and Regards,
    babloo.
