XML Matrix Reports

Hi...
I've created a matrix report through the XML publisher. The layout is working fine but I don't know how to get column wise & row-wise totals. Are there any XML tags to get these totals in a matrix environment.??
There's another issue.... the output matrix doesn't display the row/column mesh after a cetain no. of columns. I just get the cells for which there is data...the rest of the sheet remains blank.
Please help.

It can be done, from the plugin in office.
there we can option of rowwise total , colum,n-wise total.

When you say "the values are not expanding vertically" do you mean that on the printed report it is not returning all the values for a given field, i.e. the field is too small to display the entire value.... OR the repeating frame for the group is not expanding enough to display all the fields???

Oracle Matrix Report output to XML Publisher

We have an Oracle matrix report (rdf) registered in our applications and we are trying to format the report output using XML publisher.
I have taken XML output of the report by changing the Report output to XML in concurrent program definition. Using this XML output we have started designing the RTF template using Template Builder for Word 5.6.2.
I am not able to get the MAtrix output in XML publisher. I am not sure how to design a Matrix Report using Template builder for word. I am not sure whether the XML output of Original Report has Tags mentioning Matrix report attributes or Not.
Can anyone help me by explaining how to design a Matrix Report template using XML report output. Appreicate your help.

XML Publisher with Matrix Report

I build a matrix report in oracle BI publisher(rtf) it generate the output. While it published in oracle apps this rtf then it raise warning before template run successfully after rtf template it generate XML but did not show the output where the matrix design

Numbers does not have anything specifically called an event registration template. There are several options:
1) search using your favorite search engine (google found quite a few hits when I searched using "Event Registration Template"
2) build your own in Numbers
Option (2) shouldn't be too difficult.

XML publisher report not generating output for huge XML files

Changed Depreciation Projections Report output type to XML.
Defined a Data Definition and a new Data Template (RTF) for this report.
Ran the Depreciation Projection Report to generate the XML output.
Ran the XML Report Publisher report to generate teh PDF/Excel output of the above report.
Output generated for smaller XML files. When XML size is big, the program is running for hours without generating the output.
Teh RTF template is basically a matrix report in which the number of columns in the report is based on the number of periods the report is run for.
The same is not working in the Desktop version also. The system is hanging when i try to view the preview pdf.
The XML file size is approximately 33 MB.
Please let me know if there is any way we can increase the memory size to see the output.

How to print Barcode data in Oracle XML Publisher Report

Hi,
We have an rdf report which prints Bar code in the starting page based on a custom procedure from MarkView. It works well with Oracle Reports.
But since the current report was a matrix report, we are changing it to a Linear report through Oracle XML Publisher Report.
We have all the things possible in the new Oracle XML Report.. But we are unable to print the Bar code data which is BLOB in the XML Report..
Can anyone help me on this? We have UAT dates around the corner..

4.    Create Font File
5.    Give Font Name : XX_BARCODE
6.    File : Browse Barcode file
7.    Apply
8.    Go to Font mapping Tab
9.    Open Create Font Mapping Set
10.    Give Mapping Name: XX_BARCODE
11.    Give Mapping Code: XX_BARCODE
12.    Type : FO TO PDF
13.    Apply
14.    Open Tab Create Font Maping
15.    Font Family: Code39-Digits(This name should be exactly the font name comes in word)
16.    Style: Normal
17.    Weight: Normal
18.    Target Font Type: Truetype
19.    Continue
20.    Font : XX_BARCODE
21.    Apply
1.    Go to Template Tab
2.    Query for your template
3.    Open Edit Configuration
4.    Click on FO Processing
5.    In Font Mapping set Give XX_BARCODE
RTF Template (word):
1.Design the RTF template
2.Insert the barcode against reqd field
3.Make sure to put an * before and after the barcode so that scanner understands the beginning and end

Page break in Matrix report

Hello Experts,
I am trying to create a custom purchase order that shows shipping distributions.
I have been successful so far in creating a matrix report that shows this. However, the client's requirement is that I limit the items to at least 10 items per page.
I need to be able to create a page break to have 10 items per page and to have the header be included in the next page since the header includes the branches where the goods are supposed to be distributed.
I have tried several things but I was not able to make it work.
I can provide the xml and the rtf template if needed. Thank you.

Regarding Matrix Report Issue in (RTF Template)

We are developing the new report in XMLP (Matrix Report) and this is new stuff for us in XMLP. we dont have any material to explore about how to apply matrix report concepts in RTF Template.
We have tried with some xml data with the RTF file but the data is not coming out well..since the mapping we did
correct in the RTF File but the field VALUE not populating the data and also
not able see the full table in the pdf output.
Please help me out why this formatting issue happening with the matrix report format ?..
Also please provide some notes to understand about how to apply Matrix concepts in the RTF to get perfect output.

Matrix report in BI publisher performance

I have build RTF layout for matrix report,the data generation is completing in very less time.. but the layout swapping the rows as columns taking too long time , If data generation is completing around 5 mins..layout building is completing in 45 mins.. Please let me know any feasable solution.

Try to avoid too much of regrouping in layout, have your xml structure in desired format. Also try enabling scalable mode

Matrix Report Row Group Totals

I want to create a matrix report for purchase bills in which each bill may have mutiple items with diffrent rate and vat
i could create the matrix report but the grand total in each purchase master table having column billtotal, vattotal
the report shows one purchase row and vat column are displayed as multiple colums correctly
but grand total of billtotal, vattotal gets added as many times as the items are there in that each bill
any suggestion.

As per my understanding, you want to create a matrix and use xml as data source for purchase bills, each purchase bill has multiple items with different rate and vat. In order to improve the efficiency of troubleshooting, I need to ask several questions:
Please provide corresponding column name for purchase, rate, billtotal and vattotal.
“but grand total of billtotal, vattotal gets added as many times as the items are there in that each bill” What’s the meaning of this sentence?
What function do you want to achieve? What’s the state of report now? please provide some more detailed information of your requirements. I would be appreciated it if you could provide screenshot of the report in design mode.
This may be a lot of information to ask for at one time. However, by collecting this information now, it will help us move more quickly toward a solution.

Matrix report performance

Hi,
I have a table with the following attributes : item, location, value. I want to create a matrix report with items on columns, locations as headers and in the middle the correspondent values: the report should look like this:
item loc1 loc2 loc3
1234 200 300
2456 25 12
456 12 15 16
I know how to do the matrix report(I use a view based on the table) but my question is related to a performance problem. As the view contains a lot of data (more than 2mil. records), my question is how the matrix report is being build( I need to know if it does a self-join with the same view to build it, as this might take a long time to generate the report).
In case I use a parameter for location(for example I want to generate a matrix report but only for loc1) it will take a long time as well?

Try to avoid too much of regrouping in layout, have your xml structure in desired format. Also try enabling scalable mode

Lexical Parameter in Matrix Report

I am faced a problem when i used lexical Parameter in Matrix Report.
I design Query and Report in Group Above Mode The Lexical Parameter
Show the Values in the Field but when I make This Report in Matrix then
This Lexical Parameter Showes The Value Null I try many Solution
