XML PL/SQL Parser Demo Error ORA-29516

I'm trying to get the XML Plsql demo to work on the following
system:
Sun Solaris 8
Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 64 bit
using the $ORACLE_HOME/xdk/plsql/demo files
I created an oracle user "xmldba" , granted javauserpriv to
xmldba, granted javasyspriv to xmldba. I have run
$ORACLE_HOME/xdk/plsql/parser/bin/load.sql. Then I try the
demo -
oracle8$ sqlplus xmldba/xmldba

These errors were due to not running initjvm etc. I have resolved all the jvm sqlj related problems now .
I am still seeing resolver errors . Opened a new thread for those errors.
Please respond on those

    Hi Steven:
Yep...I just checked our install and there are no java classes in user_objects. We had the init*.ora file shared_pool_size set too low (as indicated under $ORACLE_HOME/javavm/doc/readme.txt).
So I'll get our DBA to try it again.
    Thanks,
    Derek

This likely means that the database JavaVM is not properly installed in your Oracle8i database. You need to run the initjvm.sql script as detailed in the JServer documentation before any 'loadjava'

  • SQL   Loader and Error ORA-01847/ORA-01839

    Hi,
While using the direct loading in SQL-LOADER when we get the ORA-01847/ORA-01839 all the other records are getting errorred out. It goes fine with the conventional loading.
Should I use some parameters or anything to make sure that all the other records are not rejected when we get the ORA-01847/ORA-01839 error while going with the DIRECT loading.
    Thanks

In internet I found this short message:
“AL32UTF8 is a multi-byte characterset, that means some characters are stored in more than 1 character, that's true for these special characters.
If you have same table definitions in both databases you likely face error ORA-12899.
This metalink note discusses this problem, it's also applicable to sqlloader:
Import reports "ORA-12899: Value too large for column" when using BYTE semantic
    Doc ID: Note:563893.1”
By metalink, I can see the Note linked to a one Oracle Internal Bug for Oracle 11g.....
I'm waiting you suggestion... thanks very much in advance.
    Regards.

removed after desc in the last line so now this query will run and throw an error.

Clearly your error is because the string concatenation you are doing with sys_connect_by_path is exceeding the 4000 bytes permitted by SQL.
In that case you need to concatenate your data into a CLOB datatype, for which you'll need a CLOB aggregation function...

  • Direct Path SQL Loader get error ORA-01555

    Hi All,
    11.2.0.1 DB
Has anyone here used sqlloader direct path option?
Is there special setting I need for the Undo TS?
I am testing my sqlloader direct path but I got error : ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number 10 with name "_SYSSMU10$" too small
I am only testing 100 records and I shutdown the database. And I am only the one using it. :(
Does dropping the Undo TS and creating new one help resolve my issue?
    Thanks a lot,
    Kinz

I drop my UNDOTS1 and recreate it to resolve if there are framentation in the TS itself , but to no avail, the same error persist :(

  • Sql*loader 11g - Error ORA-12899

    Hi All,
I'm using Sqlload for inserti into a 11g db some csv file from db2.
    My server is a Linux o.s. with Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit.
I receive this error ORA-12899: Value too large for column on all file I try to load.
    NLS for my db is:
    SQL> select parameter, value from nls_database_parameters where parameter like '%CHARACTERSET%';
    PARAMETER VALUE
    NLS_CHARACTERSET AL32UTF8
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET UTF8
    Have you any idea?
    Thanks very much for help
    Regards
    Giovanni

    Regards.

  • SDO_MVCLIENT throws occasional Aurora assertion failure error ORA-29516

    Hi folks,
Occasionally I seem to receive the follow error when using the SDO_MVCLIENT package to run Mapviewer. The problem goes away if I just resubmit the job.
Warning: ociexecute() [function.ociexecute]: ORA-29516: Aurora assertion failure: Assertion failure at joeintp.c:373 Interpreter hit null Java opcode. ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_MVCLIENT", line 393 ORA-06512: at "PDZIEMIELA.TW_PHP", line 553 ORA-06512: at line 1 in C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\tw.php on line 294
Line 393 in the package is
    FUNCTION run RETURN VARCHAR2 AS LANGUAGE JAVA NAME 'oracle.lbs.mapclient.SQLMapClient.run() return java.lang.String';
So I am thinking this has to do with java. Could I have muff the loadjava somehow? I followed all the steps. Any thoughts? This is on a 64 bit Solaris 10 machine. The system has JDK 1.5 in the path but oracle has JDK 1.4 in its directory tree under jdk.
    Thanks!
    Paul

Also just a note as you don't specify which database version you are running but in 8.1.7 the return buffer does not seem to be managed correctly by the database as once removing a message from the buffer it still remains on the buffer.
The only work around I've found, so far, is to manipulate Utl_Tcp.Connection.private_bf using utl_raw.
Under 9i this is not an option as private_bf is non-existant in Utl_Tcp.Connection

Babblefish believes that your question translates to English as:
"I installed Oracle 9i 9,2 client on Windows 98 to connect me to the base Oracle 7.3.4. The installation was successful and the configuration of the Net also was successful, nevertheless, when executing the SQL extra sends an error to me and makes reference to product_user_profile, in addition, I cannot execute my application in VB sending the Ora-03114 error: not connected to ORACLE. What I need to form. When installing Oracle 8i does not present/display ningun successful error, working everything."
Assuming that's a proper translation, there are a couple of points:
    - The 9.2 client ins't certified to connect to a 7.3.4 database. There may well be random issues with this configuration.
    - product_user_profile indicates to me that your DBA may have set something up that prevents certain users/machines/applications/etc. from logging into the database. I'd try speaking with your DBA to see whether this is the case, and what you need to do to have the system changed.

  • JAVA demo error (ora-01031)

    Hello,
I need a help with running Java demos for ODM 10g. PL/SQL demos worked fine. Yet, all the JAVA demo seem to have this ORA-01031 Insufficient Privileges error (for instance, at ABNDemo.executeTask for ABNDemo.java). I have changed various setting of DM user privileges but none worked so far.
    Best Regards,

    Hi,
Java API would need DMUSER_ROLE previlege granted to the DM User account while PL/SQL API does not. You might want to check ~dm/admin/odmuser.sql to ensure all necessary privileges are given to the user account.
    Thanks, Mark

  • Dynamic SQL run with error 'ORA-29275: partial multibyte character'

    Hi All,
In daily work, we use daynamic SQL to load data from another database through DB Link. However, even if I run the following simple statement in our DB, it will raise the error.
    CREATE TABLE TEST_TMP
    AS
    SELECT TRANSACTION_REASON
FROM [email protected] --it is using db link.
    WHERE LAST_UPDATE_DATE>=TO_DATE('18-12-2012 22:01:58', 'dd-mm-yyyy hh24:mi:ss');
This statement had been workng correctly before OCT-2012 and there was no change with the source. Afterwards, there was just a change which upgraded the DB version from 10g to 11g on our side. I have browsed my technical articles, but I still cannot find the root cause. Is it due to the updgrading of the DB which practice stricter sanity check?
    I don't know.
I'd appreciate of you can give me suggestion if you know such case.
    Thanks,
    David

    Check these queries -
