Xorg/openbox stalls when changing date

Anytime I change a date with 'date' command, Openbox/Xorg sort of freezes (everything stalls except cursor changes when passing over terminal). I can still kill Xorg though with Ctrl+Alt+F1 and Ctrl-C.
Then I set the date again outside Xorg and start Openbox/Xorg again, that works fine.
Does anyone know what is the problem? This bug was introduced relatively recently, I remember that before I could change the date from inside Openbox/Xorg...

Tableview getting refreshed when changing data in the rows

Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m doing a BSP with MVC. The requirement is as below.
In the main page there is a button u2018Create Orderu2019, to create a sales order, once I click this button, another screen (pop up) comes up and within that I have a Tableview display with the below fields with the data of 20 records.
Material no
Quantity
Delivery Date
Here user is allowed to choose the quantity and delivery date by selecting each row.(with MULTISELECT option in BSP)
The issue is after I select first row and change the quantity and date, and if I click on second row, the Tableview gets refreshed to enable the second row to be editable and the changes what I did on the first row are also refreshed.
So i want the Tableview not to be refreshed when selecting the multiple rows. So that I can keep the changes I make to the quantity and date fields Can you please suggest any method.

You need to capture the value entered by user in Quantity and date field and update the internal table with these values for the current selected row.
For ex.
The tableView code is like:

Now the internal table lt_fields contains all the editable cell values , just update the internal table of your tableview with these values.

Maintenance view event for validation when changing data

Hi All,
I have a maintenance view on a table that should validate some fields during user input.
I am using event 05 'Creating a new entry' to validate fields when user creates new entry in the table. That works fine.
I would like to have the same validations happening when the user changes fields of records already existing in the database. I tried to use event 01 'Before saving the data in the database' but the problem with this is that user can change many fields of many records before clicking 'Save'. I would like to have the error raised for incorrect entry already after the change.
So far I could not find an event to do this but only by changing the code itself. The problem with that is whenever the code is regenerated the custom part is lost.
Is there an event I can use that would help me achieve this?

I tried event 21, I`m playing around with that since that`s the only one triggered when I press Enter.
The problem with this is that
- the check runs when you press enter, so you can still change many fields of many records (one step maintenance) before the validation runs
- you can`t raise an error message, because only the key fields will be input ready, the non-key fields will be readonly
The way I currently handle is I undo the changes in 21 (get previous field values from TOTAL) and raise an information message i/o an error informing user to check the entry.
What I`m looking for is an event that will raise a message and set focus on the incorrect field (if there`s one such).

Time Zone...When changing date and time.

After having updated to version 10.6.1, I am still experiencing the same top sites glitch as everyone else. However, is anyone else's time zone graphics funky (missing squares?) and really unresponsive when moving across the earth from side to side?

For me - I am pretty anal about keeping my camera's time accurate, and I always adjust time on import to the correct time zone if I am shooting in a different area (I live in AZ time, and when I shoot on the east coast i set the time zone to eastern on import). So I doubt I would ever use that feature.
If you ever do need this feature, be aware that the date and time displayed in the Adjust Date and Time dialogue box are the date and time in the time zone your computer is set to, not the time zone the picture was taken in.
So if you have a picture taken on the east coast and you open the adjust date/time dialogue, you will see the time for the picture in AZ time (a few hours earlier than the time displayed in the Image Date field). To set the time for the picture, you have to figure out what time it was in AZ when the picture was taken, and enter that time.
After playing around with this I've filed it as a bug with Apple. Even if they aren't going to let you change the time zone (functionality I think is needed), they should at least consistently use the same time zone with a picture, rather than forcing you to do time zone conversions by hand.

Printing stalls when "sending data"

All was well.... then I tried to print something by selecting the adobe pdf8.0 printer. Didn't notice that had stalled until I tried printing something else later with my Epson 580. I can hear that the printer is starting up, but nothing else happens once it says "sending data". I've cleared the queue, and when I do, you can hear the printer stopping. I can not print from any application, or with any printer. I've also tried to reset the printers, and remove the preferences. The scanning function on the Epson does work, so its not a cable issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

Try logging out and back in as a different user, creating one if need be, and attempt to print from the other user.

Error in Adobe form based in a xml interface when changing data element

The adobe form is called from a web dynpro.
The adobe form contain a page and subforms (positioned y flowered).
The form worked out perfectally.
Then edited a descriptive text in a data element, from se11. The form continues worked out correctelly.
Then modify a fixed text from the form. The form is activated.
Since this modification, the form stopped to work out, informing the following message:
"WebDynpro Exception: The ADS call has failed. You can find information about the cause in the error.pdf on the application server".
I have updated the nodes of the web dynpro, the xml interface of the form, is all activated and this is still not working.
Someone could help me? Does anyone know what it could be happened?
Is there a way to re-generate the form?

The data element is char 4. I have only changed descriptive texts.
I have take take all the objects to the previous version (data element, wd view, interface xml, adobe form), and the form is still not working.

GW 2012 POA crash when changing data

Hey,
I recently migrated my Groupwise installation to a Windows 2008 R2 server and upgraded from version 8 to 2012.
As of much, the installation runs smoothly, but whenever I launch ConsoleOne on the server, and updates groupwise information, POA will crash, kicking off all users.
I have set the service to restart after one minute, as a workaround.
However, this really is a pain. As when I add/remove users from distribution lists, changing a users GW password, or just update anything on GW objects, this will cause a Poa Crash.
I have tried to search for similiar solutions, but none have shown up.
The server got eDirectory and the GW datastore are placed on a NTFS volume. ConsoleOne is launched locally on the server.
Any clues would be great.

Error ora-24338 happened when change data source on crystal report

Hi Guys:
I made a report on my test envariment (this report involve stored procedure and it return a ref cursor from oracle database to the report). after i test it, i decided to move this report to the production database. However when i updated the database location, it shows me the following error:
database connector error: 'ORA-24338': statement handle not executed [database wender code: 24338]
then it shows:
some tables could not be replaced, as no match was found in the new data source. please spacify the table required for any unmodified tables.
then it shows:
database connection error
all the tables and code in test database and production database are same.
anyone can help me?

after you went to database
set datasource location
updated it.
did a mapping box come up
did you then verify the database to pull in the new records or tables?
i would run the query on the server to see if it returns values.
you may also need to set your overqualified table name
database
set datasource
locate the table or sp in the top box
the + next to the sp or table
click
open properities +
overqualified table name F2
enter the table or sp in there
then verify your database and try to run against the prod server

Unable to change Date Created in Metadata

Unable to change Date Created field in Metadata.
I am a newspaper photographer sending .jpg pics with captions to my office from my iMac. They are viewed at the office on Windows PCs using SCC MediaGrid.
When changing Date Created in Metadata Invalid Format warning appears "Format should be ISO 8601 XML compliant, that is YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm[:ss][tz] (eg 2006-07-11T13:14:30-07:00)"
If 2009-09-26, for example, is entered then exported pictures opened up in Photoshop or shown on SCC MediaGrid do not display the date.
To get dates to show up I first have to open a pic in Photoshop, go to File Info, enter 26/9/09 in Date Created and Save As.
Next I have to Import this into Aperture where the Date Created shows as "20090926".
Using Lift Metadata and Stamp Metadata the date can be transferred to other pics.
Now when I export these pics the date does show up in Photoshop and SCC MediaGrid.
Can Date Created be typed straight into field in Aperture?...Very important when pics go into archive on a server.
Also if I hit Return key in a Metadata Caption, to type on the next line, both lines will appear as one with a small square in-between them when viewed on SCC MediaGrid on a Windows PC.

Nick I don't generallt use the IPTC metadata, so I'm not sure I will be too much help.
What version of Aperture are you using? I tried both things and I didn't have any problems with the latest version of Aperture on my Mac.
I was able to enter a date into "Date Created" both with and without the time-zone adjustment. Can you tell us the exact string you tried to enter into the "Date Created" and exactly when you get the error? I tried to enter my time zone (eastern US) as "-5:00", but Aperture wouldn't let me enter the 5 and popped up the error message when I typed that key. I had to use "-05:00".
As for the caption, when I hit return, Aperture ends my edit. I cannot reproduce your described behavior of actually getting a new-line into the field. I suspect your problem (although I don't know how you get to your problem) is one of the following:
1) The IPTC standard doesn't tell if the software should use a Unix-style end-of-line (which is a line-feed), or a DOS/Windows style end-of-line (which is carriage-return followed by line-feed). Aperture may put in the Unix-style and your Windows programs don't know what to do with it.
2) The IPTC standard does indicate the end-of-line style, but either Aperture or your other programs don't follow it.
or
3) IPTC Metadata doesn't actually support end-of-line, so Aperture should not allow you to enter multiple lines, but it has a bug so it does allow you to do that.
Can you tell us where exactly you are editing the caption? I tried it in the inspector pane (on the left) in the "Metadata" tab, and then I hit the "IPTC" button at the bottom of the tab.

SCCM 2012 R2 changing date and time for patching software update groups

I recieve this error when changing date and time for software update group. worked fine yesterday before patches to the server were applied last night. we removed patches but still get error below. Any help would be great.

It may well be a driver issue but considering the loading: Xorg trying to load different drivers is somewhat normal. @cafe you can see that these are autoconfigured by X above the loading in the log:

There is a scenario that the data in the report changes infrequently, so the users want to be informed and get the most updated data once the data changes. By default, report server always run the report with the most recent data. Is there a way that we
can subscribe the report, so that we can send an email to users when the data in the report has been changed?
Solution
To achieve this requirement, we can create a subscription for the report, then create a trigger in the table which including the report data. When this table has data insert, update or delete, it will be triggered and execute the subscription to send email
to users.
In the Report Manager, create a subscription for the report and make it only execute one time.
When we create a subscription, a corresponding SQL Agent job will be created. Then we can use the query below to find out the job based on ScheduleId:

CDC - How to configure when to insert changed data in Change Tables

I have the following situation: I need to capture changes from some source tables only when some columns of interest changed, not when any data from those tables changed.
Is there a way to confidure that in CDC? I use Synchronous Publishing.

What you can do is set up CDC to record both the before (UO) en after (UN) image of the updated row and then filter out the rows that have different before and after values for the columns that you want to check on.
See e.g. http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14223/cdc.htm#i1025616, step 4, capture_values=>both. You can even delete rows from the change table directly, before consuming the change set result from the subscriber view.

Start scenario when source data change

is it possible to start a scenario when a data on one table changes on the source DB ?
For example, an application change a timestamp on a table in the source db, this change triggers the start of the ODI scenario.

Can you create a database trigger on that table and populate a row in another table indicating that the timestamp on the table has changed.
Then, you can use OdiWaitForData tool from toolbox in the package as a Starting step and connect its OK with odiStartScen tool which further invokes the scenario that you want to execute.
