Xquery: Element to Attribute Mapping - remove empty attribute tags

Hi,
I have a requirement to map source schema xml elements to target schema xml element attributes
i have done it like below
<Spd minimumvalue = "{ xs:decimal(data($Test/*:A)) }"
maximumvalue = "{ xs:decimal(data($Test/*:B)) }"
averagevalue = "{ xs:decimal(data($Test/*:C)) }">
Where A,B,C are the source schema elements.
So once the transformation is done the output looks like this
<Spd mimimumvalue="1" maxmiumvalue="" averagevalue="3"/>
Now i got to remove the attribute which has null value.
the output should look like this
<Spd mimimumvalue="1" averagevalue="3"/>
I tried using exists function and implemented it. But then if i have more than 2/3 attributes in the outout xsd then i need to have many if conditions.
Is there any other alternative for this.
Please suggest. Appreciate your help.

Hi,
Is there any other alternative for this. I'm not aware of any.
Using exists() is a good solution though, and it's easy to implement with element and attribute constructors :
return
  element Spd
   if (fn:exists($Test/*:A/text())) then attribute minimumvalue { xs:decimal($Test/*:A) } else (),
   if (fn:exists($Test/*:B/text())) then attribute maximumvalue { xs:decimal($Test/*:B) } else (),
   if (fn:exists($Test/*:C/text())) then attribute averagevalue { xs:decimal($Test/*:C) } else ()
  }Is that what you've tried?

  • Remove Empty XML Tags using module parameters

    Hi All,
    In my lanscape I have two PI Systems.
    My scenario is an IDOC reaches 1st PI system gets converted into an EDIFACT and then goes to the 2nd PI and from there it gets routed to the respective AS2 Party.
    I am using SOAP to pass message between the PI systems and B2B Toolkit's AS2 Adapter for the communication with AS2 party.
    The issue is when the message is getting converted from IDOC to EDIFACT there are a few feilds with occurence 1..1 and due to these fields i get an empty XML tag at the output. These empty XML tags give me an error in the B2B Toolkit's AS2 Adapter Receiver Channel
    I cannot change the occurence in the structure of the EDIFACT nor can I use an XSLT mapping to remove empty tags before the message reaches the Communication Channel.
    I want to know if there are any module parameters which i can use either in SOAP Channel or the AS2 Channel to remove the XML Tags.

    Hi Muni,
    "1..1 means, you must send some values for that fields. try to find out why these are not getting any values."
    This empty tag is expected. Before using B2B Toolkit's AS2 Adapter we used to use Seeburger's AS2 Adpater and the message used to get executed successfully with these empty tags.The issue is coming only when we are using B2B Toolkit's AS2 Adapter.
    "if you want to stop sending(the fields which are not needed in target) you can you can disable the fields in the message mapping."
    I cannot disable the feild in the mapping as some other message may use this field.
    Thanks,

  • Attribute mapping not working with complex searches

    Hi all,
    We are using "attribute mapping" for some attributes and that works fine as far as we don't make a complex search. We are doing the attribute mapping at the Directory proxy 6.3 so we map businessSector to businessUnit. Everything work fine if we just put businessSector in the search, but if we add something else to the search filter, it will not work.
    So, if we use filter businessSector=XXXXXXX, it will work and make all the mapping, but if we use something like "(&(pocketSizeOffice=Yes)(businessSector=XXXXXXX))", it will not work.
    We have look at the logs and we see the mapping happening in the first case, but not in the second one.
    Have somebody seem this before or is facing this problem?
    Thanks,
    Federico

    Hi Federico,
    I was not able to reproduce the problem with DPS 6.3 in my labs... so the conditions to reproduce it may be more tricky than described. Anyway, this is not a known problem.
    Feel free to contact Sun support to have a fix delivered to you.

  • Remove un-necessary tags?

    Jdbc to file scenario, in this scenario we need to remove empty value tags from sender or receiver side before creating Xml document in third party.
    Is that possible? I know this is very dummy question but I am new in pi and sdn

    As per My knowledge, That is possible with remove the empty tags of the Additional Parameters in u201CAdvanced Modeu201D in Sender Jdbc Communication channel.
    If you want to remove the empty tags from the test of the sender adapter, select Remove Empty Tags. Main advantage is  reduce the size of XML documents.

  • XSU attribute mapping error

    I've encountered an attribute mapping problem when using the Java OracleXMLQuery class in XSU (Oracle XML Developer's Kit for PL/SQL on Windows NT - 9i 9.2.0.1.0). As an example, take a look at the following object type containing one field whose name is prefaced with "@". This should cause XSU to map the field as an attribute rather than an element:
    create or replace type testtype_t as object
    "@test_attribute" varchar2(20),
    test_element varchar2(30)
    Here's the query passed to OracleXMLQuery:
    select testtype_t('abc', 'def') "TEST1", testtype_t('ghi', 'jkl') "TEST2" from dual
    Here's the output of the getXMLString method:
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW num="1">
    <TEST1 test_attribute="abc">
    <TEST_ELEMENT>def</TEST_ELEMENT>
    </TEST1>
    <TEST2>
    <test_attribute>ghi</test_attribute>
    <TEST_ELEMENT>jkl</TEST_ELEMENT>
    </TEST2>
    </ROW>
    </ROWSET>
    Notice that the output is correct for the "TEST1" element - it contains a "test_attribute" attribute. The "TEST2" element, however, does not contain a "test_attribute" attribute. Instead, the field was output as a child element of "TEST2" called "test_attribute". To get around this, I had to create another object type as follows:
    create or replace type testtype2_t as object
    "@test_attribute" varchar2(20),
    test_element varchar2(30)
    It's format is identical to the "testtype_t" object type described above. Here's the new query passed to OracleXMLQuery:
    select testtype_t('abc', 'def') "TEST1", testtype2_t('ghi', 'jkl') "TEST2" from dual
    Here's the resulting output of the getXMLString method:
    <?xml version = '1.0'?>
    <ROWSET>
    <ROW num="1">
    <TEST1 test_attribute="abc">
    <TEST_ELEMENT>def</TEST_ELEMENT>
    </TEST1>
    <TEST2 test_attribute="ghi">
    <TEST_ELEMENT>jkl</TEST_ELEMENT>
    </TEST2>
    </ROW>
    </ROWSET>
    Now, the "TEST2" element contains an attribute as it should.
    It seems that the only time attributes are mapped correctly for a particular object type is when it is first encountered in the query. The mapping fails for each subsequent occurrence. Creating additional object type definitions is a solution, but this can result in the creation of many redundant object type definitions. Is there another solution available? Thanks . . .

    Please tell me when you are getting this error and please explain a bit more what exactly you want to do..

    Maybe the problem#1 can be solved with a simple pl/sql using REPLACE statement. start with the <RESPONSE and look for the end > and get the entire string and replace that with only <RESPONSE> or maybe you can achieve this using xmldom to delete the attributes as part of the element.
    PRoblem#2 can be solved in this way.
    select xmlelement("MY_RESPONSE",
    xmltype('<RESPONSE xmlns="http://testserver" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://testserver response.xsd">

  • UIXInclude getAttribute Illegal access of the include attribute map out

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    I've been digging into the reason why I've been getting this in my logs. At first, I thought it was because of a declarative component, but after further digging, it was actually the region which I'm using inside a declarative region's facet.

    Has anyone encountered this same log? If you have, can you share what is causing it?
    Thanks.
    -Marvin

    Found the issue.
    Too bad I had to realize it the hard way. When the declarative component is trying to point to an attribute that doesn't exist, then you get this message in your log. Feel bad for the af:region for getting blamed... (but hey the documentation said contact support so that didn't help as well).
    Killed the unneeded and anonymous attribute element and everything is back to normal.

  • Removing empty node created by Value Mapping Functoid

    If the first input parameter to Value Mapping functoid is not true, it creates an empty element in the destination which I don't want, how can I get rid of this empty element, if it's empty I do not want it to created in the destination document.
    Do let me know how can I achive this within a Map.

    You can get rid of the empty nodes in your map by using a custom functoid and use XSLT script (also given below) and mentioned in this article

  • AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_HEADERS_ALL attribute mapping to AP_INVOICES_ALL

    Hi,
    We need to have some values in AP_INVOICES_ALL in some DFF ( For example Attribute10 ) for invoices we import via expense express. When we update attribute10 of ap_expense_report_headers_all after import i dont see it in the ap_invoices_all table.
    What is the mapping of the ap_invoices_all attributes to the ap_expense_report_headers_all attributes.
    Please help.
    thanks
    Ramakrishna

    Hi,
    The Attribute Mapping must be exactly matching between AP & Iexp.
    For example, if you are having a DFF in iExpense called DFF1 (Attribute12-Expense Headers), then you need to create a Attribute in AP Invoice Headers with the same Attribute Number 12.
    If you are creating in Expenses Report Lines, the create in AP Invoice Lines category. Pls remember that Attribute No. must be same. If it is done, then data will move exactly from iExpense to AP when Expense Report Export program is run.
    The DFF Names need not be same.

  • Getting Error in java mapping: Parsing empty source. Root element expected!

    Hi Experts,
       I am using java mapping for schema validation of input message. I have followed all the standard procedures and implemented the java class in the interface mapping.
    My interface mapping is like this:
    OrderData --->Java Class ---SchemaValidate
                         Mesg Map ---OrderData_to_BAP --->BAPI Msg
    So first I want to validate the schema of the input message. If the input message is invalid then XI should throw an exception. Then I use the actual message mapping to map the input order data to the BAPI input parameters.
    In the java code I am using xerces parser.
    The java code works fine when I run it as a standalone application.
    The interface mapping also works fine if I don't include the java mapping. Ofcourse schema validation does not happen.
    But when I test the interface mapping by including the java mapping then I am getting the error:

    Hi Stefan,
       I did the code changes to return output stream and the java code works perfectly in standalone mode in my PC.
       But when I use the same in the Java mapping with XI then It throws an error "Getting Error in java mapping: Parsing empty source. Root element expected!".
    My XI J2EE server has JDK1.4.3.11.
    Is there any limitation of using SAX parser in XI? If Yes, then which parser should be used for schema validation in XI?
    I have included the XSD file for schema validation along with class files in the .jar file. This jar file is then imported in XI repository. Is the XI engine not able to read the XSD file?
    Do I have to handle reading XSD file differently? Any suggession how?
    Is this parser error due to some security access?
    Kindly help me! I have been struggling with this problem since 2 weeks. I will be greatfull to you if you can help me.
    Thanks

  • How to remove  'Empty Demarcation'  in Text Elements.

    Dear All,
    To remove 'Empty demarcation' in the WAD output, I had modified the standard program - SAPLRSSV (for this i took  access key from SAP).
    The text element : 301 was changed to blank  and it worked.
    Recently we had a support package upgrade to SAPKW70018. With this upgrade my previous change to the program got reverted back and so i need to do the change again.
    However,  I'm not able to retrieve the list of Text elements for this program (SAPLRSSV). I open the program and when i go to Text element,  following message is displayed :
    "Untranslated texts from master language DE will  also be displayed"
    But no list (no text elements) is displayed.
    My question : How do i retrieve this list  and can i use the same acess key again or do i need to take another one from SAP.
    Regards,
    Nagendra.

    Sorry, I was referring to the incorrect program SAPLRSSV instead of SAPLRRSV.  The problem has been resolved.

    Actually,
    response.addHeader("Expires", "-1");should be enough.
    The browser should then contact the Web server for updates to that page via a conditional If-Modified-Since request. You don't want a cache disabling 'overkill', since you'd still want the page to remain in the disk cache and used in appropriate situations without contacting the remote Web server, such as when the BACK and FORWARD buttons are pressed...
    Anyway, try this first, and if it doesn't solve your problem, add the other cache-disabling headers, as outlined in the previous post.
    If you're using JSP, verify also that your page has
    <%@ page session="true"%>

  • UME attribute mapping for lastpasswordchange to AD

    We are on EP 7.0 and are using Microsoft Active Directory 2003 as our user repository.
    I am using a writeable datasource configuration file to update passwords in AD from portal (SSL configured)
    For users who had password reset done through the portal, portal has the information for "Date of Last Password Change".

    However the above configuration doesn't work. I am not able to read the attribute "pwdLastSet" from AD using attribute mapping.
    Can some one please suggest what I am missing ?
    Thank You,

    You may google "pwdLastSet convert" a try to find out some scripts to convert pwdLastSet to another timestamp.
    As I got from some Google's [links|http://anothersysadmin.wordpress.com/2010/10/22/convert-pwdlastset-to-a-human-readable-date/] pwdLastSet it counts time in nanoseconds.
    Consult you MS Active Diractory team for help to create the converting script of create another attribute in AD with the format that match the portal's timestamp. Then you'll map  the new AD attribute to the "lastpasswordchange" attribute of the portal.

  • Removing an attribute from a group by clause

    This concerns a web application developed by JDeveloper 10.1.2 (adf, uix). I have viewobject with a query, written in expert mode, that has a group by clause. I removed an attribute from the select statement that was included in the group by clause and removed it from the bindings of the page that displays the data from the view. When I test the application module the data is grouped correctly. But when I run the view the attribute is not shown on the page but the data is still grouped by the attribute. The same query works fine in SQL plus, it looks like JDeveloper 'remembers' the old group by clause somewhere. I checked the xml file of the view object and it looks ok. Where can the old group by clause be written? How comes it is still applied?

    I am trying to place a shape on an image and remove it from the photo, creating just the picture within the shape.  When I follow instructions, I get a lovely shape around my image, but the image isn't removed.  It just sits in a white-checkered background.
    How do I get rid of the white background?
    The white-checkered background is a visual reference for transparency. (It won't print.) To keep the transparency, you need to save in a format that supports transparency, PSD, TIF (with save transparency checked), PNG, or GiF. If you save in a format such as JPG that doesn't support transparency, the transparency is replaced by white.
    Edit: If you are transferring the image into another software application, you may have to save the selection along with the image. Select<Save Selection. You'd have to also check which of the formats that application accepts.

  • How to implement for coherence*web to remove an attribute of a specific sessionid?

    Hi,
    Customer using coherence*web 3.6 wants to remove an attribute in NamedCache with a specific jsessionid.
    If it is possible, please let me know how to implement it.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi sangee,
    you could get what you want to do by using a Java Server Page instead of both a HTML page and a Servlet.
    I should code something like this:
    <%Strung color="yourColor"%>
    <html><head><title></title></head>
    <body bgcolor="<%=color%>
    </body>
    </html>
