  • Zenworks Inventory Data Export

    I am trying to get a report of our current systems using the Zenworks
    Inventory Data Export as shown in edir.
    When I run the export it also shows systems we have deleted. I am

    Is there a way to get a report on only the systems that are in edir or
    filter it for only current systems?

  • Zenworks Inventory Scope only shows "servers"

    When I go into ConsoleOne v1.3.6h, Tools, Zenworks Inventory, Reporting... the scope says "servers." I can't choose workstations. When I try to do a quick report, it also has "servers" chosen by default. Workstation and Both are greyed-out.
    I can go into individual workstation and look at their inventory.

    Hello,

    This by running a software inventory report and comparing the results of

  • Inventory problems

    When workstations register and try to do an inventory these are the
    error
    messages they get.
    Scanner(Warning) : 027: Unable to read the sequence number from the
    Workstation Object.
    Scanner(Warning) : 021: Unable to access the Custom Scan file.
    Inventory is setup as a system startup event in the worstation policy,
    I
    have it set to the proper and only invantory database and the sql
    database
    is running.
    What else should I be looking for?

    Mind if I chime in here. I've been working a similar problem and had
    the
    luxury of a Novell ZEN support guy on site for a couple of days.
    First, check that the settings in the zenwsimport.ncf are set as
    below:
    Load Java
    envset
    zenAWSClassPath=sys:java\njclv2\lib\jndi.jar;sys:j ava\njclv2\lib\njclv2.jar;
    sys:java\lib\zenWSDel.jar;sys:java\lib\zenCommon.j ar;sys:java\lib\zenWS.jar;
    sys:java\lib\autoWSManagement.jar
    java -classpath
    $zenAWSClassPath;$CLASSPATH -jszenWSImp
    -Dlogfile=vol1:zenworks\zenwsimp.log
    -Dlogfilelevel=3 -Dloglevel=3 -ns
    com.novell.application.zenworks.autowsmanagement.w simport.ImportWorkstations
    "TREENAME" "INVENTORYSERVERNAME.OU.OU.O"
    Also, you can do verbose logging on the server. this is set in
    tracerfilter.properties under sys:\public\zenworks\wminv\properties.
    Set
    them as below:
    ;*default*=BRIEF
    *default*=DEBUG5 - This sets verbos logging
    Then you can also set the number and size of logs in
    tracerfiles.properties.
    Ihave mine set as follows:
    sloader= 200; 3
    zenworksinvservice= 1000;50 (50 logs 1Mb in size)
    This lead to me finding several workstations with a WMI problem. A
    search
    in the relevant log gave me the following error:
    "Could not process .STR_filename due to a non-Integer insertion for
    CIM_class_name.attribute_name"
    A search on that in the KB pointed me to the Zenworks 3.2
    documentation as
    follws:
    The ZfD 3.2 SP1 Inventory server deletes the .STR files and triggers a
    full
    scan. The following message is displayed: "Could not process
    ..STR_filename
    due to a non-Integer insertion for CIM_class_name.attribute_name"
    Explanation: You might encounter this error for any attribute of a
    CIM
    class such as CIM.Processor.Family.
    Possible Cause: The .STR file is for a Windows 98 (and not Windows 98
    SE)
    workstation, which has the default version of WMI installed. The
    default
    version of WMI is not compatible with ZfD 3.2 SP1.
    Action: You can update to correct WMI version by downloading
    Microsoft's
    Windows Management Instrumentation - Core Software Installation from
    Microsoft WMI Web site.
    Hope this helps some.

  • Opening-Closing Inventory problem

    I have written following calc script
    "Opening Balance"
    IF (@ISMBR(Jan))
    "Opening Inventory" = Jan;
    ELSE
    "Opening Inventory" = @PRIOR("Ending Balance");
    ENDIF;
    Also my Ending balance= Opening Balance+Adjustments-Sales; which i have defined as member formula in the Closing Balance member.
    Now the problem is that the formula and script is not running for the entire 48 weeks as my formula runs after the opening inventory calc script. Opening inventory can be calculated only when there is closing inventory which is a formula. I have to run all this several times to reach to all 48 weeks figure.
    So i have ended up as a loop wherein though the scripts and formula is working fine but each one is dependent on other.
    Please help

    Hi,
    Try adding @CALCMODE(CELL); in your calc script.
    "Opening Balance"
    @CALCMODE(CELL);
    IF (@ISMBR(Jan))
    "Opening Inventory" = Jan;
    ELSE
    "Opening Inventory" = @PRIOR("Ending Balance");
    ENDIF;
    Cheers,
    Alp

  • Physical Inventory Problem

    Hi Gurus
    Presently I am doing the physical inventory thru Batches.
    the process is : MI31 MI24 MI04 MI20 MI07
    My client want physical inv stock in to one batch only. So i can count all batches stock  put in to one batch.
    if i did like that wht is the impact after posting the inventory.
    I mean i recd the stock in diff batches. I posting the stock in to one batch
    perticular mm point of you what is the problems.
    Regards
    Laxman

    Hi
    What are the characteristics you are using in batch status?
    For Ex: If your batch contains SLED as one characteristic then posting all batch stock to one batch will be a big mistake..
    Generally batch change is avoided because we are maintaining batch concept for distinguishing the product on ceratain parameters (characterisitcs).

  • LMS 4.0.1 - Inventory problem with 6500 VSS

    Hello,
    I have just made a fresh install of LMS 4.0. I installed the 4.0.1 version too. It is done on a Windows 2008 STD running a WM environment.
    I have only one problem : I cannot get the inventory collection for a 6500 VSS chassis. It is discovered, I got the archive configuration, it is visible on the data topology and on CiscoView but when I try to collect it for the inventory I got the following message :
    R2-C6509-01
    Device Collection  Failed.
    Someone has an idea?
    Thanks by advance,
    Regards,
    Abel JULIAN,
    Nextiraone France.

    Login to LMS, then point your browser to
        http://SERVERIP:1741/rme/devices.do
    select your device and click "Edit Device Attributes", then click "Inlide Edit" and adjust the SNMP timeout settings for this device; in a first step change it to 10 (default is 2); Save the settings by clicking "Modify" and on the next screen "Apply".
    Retry Inventory Collection and see if it will be successful now.

  • ZENworks 11 problem opening files

    we have a problem opening files that are located in folders with spaces in their names.
    for example; I am trying to open an excel file named test.xlsx located in "S:\Test Folder\Excel Files"
    I have created a bundle that opens the text.xlsx... our older version of ZEN had no issues with this but with ZEN 11 I get the following errors:
    1. the file Test cannot be found

    3. the file Files\test cannot be found
    Seems like it breaks it down everytime it sees a space in the name... anyone know the cure for this?
    Thanks.

    Jeffb6000,
    Jeff, this forum is for the product ZENworks Package Management, i.e.,
    Adminstudio, sounds like you have a general query about bundles, and
    there's a forum for that. If you want to post in the
    novell.support.zenworks.configuration-management.11.bundles.windows
    forum, someone can help - do make sure you say exactly how you are
    specifying the path, and how the action is being run (if it's not run
    as the logged-in user, you won't see the mapped drives for example)
