Zero tax code

Hi gurus,
I have a old PO which was created with V0 tax code with no duties,
I am in Taxinj
But when I displaly the GR document I found Excise tab and excise duties which were not is V) tax code.
How it was happened
Was it happened through manual entry in MIGO?
Could some one clarify
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
We cant change the tax code in MIGO. We can change the base value and tax % in MIGO.
In PO you can find which user changed the PO and wht changes he made by clicking header and item details in Purchase order.

  • "Tax code V0 country IN does not exist in procedure TAXINN"

I am following , following sequence for import purchases :
    1. PO on bond plant ( tax tab at inovice tab in PO : V0 )
    2. Following conditions are planned delivery costs :
JCDB / JCV1 / JECV / ZEBC --> these condition values are entered manually
    at PO.
    3. When I am trying to enter invoice for Planned delivery costs at MIRO ,
the error appears : "Tax code V0 country IN does not exist in procedure TAXINN"
V0 ( V-ZERO) Tax Code is maintained has
been assigned to company code. This tax code works fine for local purchase , why
the system is not allowing it for import purchase ? I even tried to remove it from
Info record and OMR2 and OBCL , however no effect ? I am using TAXINN . Can anybody
    advise ?

Check whether condition table 003 i.e. Tax classification is there in your access sequence for your condition type JMOP or not?
If not then maintain/create  the same in Acees sequence of JMOP.
Now in FV11, select condition JMOP, key combination should be 'Tax Classification' only.
Maintain Country 'IN', assign tax code V0 to V0.

  • Dummy TAX CODE

    while working with TAXINN
In MM (which works on Tax procedur TAXINN) while creating condition record for excise duty in FV11 we maintain tax code in record.
In SD , ( which works on SD Pricing procedure),while creating condition record for exice duty in VK11 we dont maintain tax code in record .
whereas while creating condition record for LST & CST in SD we maintain tax code for Taxes.
why in MM we use TAX CODE not in SD for EXcise duty? what is purpose behind it ?
or pl could anyone tale me significance of  dummy TAX CODE code  in TAXINN   MM.
if i dont put dummy tax in FV11 condition record & remove that field.
    where will i stuck up?

    Hi ,
Pl. refer the Below thread  of OSS Note ::952289.
    3. At the time of invoice verification in MIRO, when 'Tax' tab is clicked, there is a dump.
Answer: The tax procedure TAXINN is a condition based tax procedure and hence the tax code does not play a role in the tax calculation. None of the tax conditions are active in the tax code which is entered in MIRO to calculate tax. Hence, when you click on  the 'Tax' tab in MIRO, it searches for active tax conditions in the tax code. Since it doesn't find any, it dumps.
In order to resolve the issue of the dump faced in MIRO, the following has to be done->
               1. Create a dummy condition type. (Can copy the JMOQ condition type and create the same). Assign the access sequence 'MWST' to this new condition type.
               2. Maintain a dummy condition record for the access sequence MWST for the tax code being used. (Maintain the TaxCl1Cust, TaxCl.Mat and Amount field as 0 for this dummy record)
               3. Assign this condition type to the tax procedure TAXINN (like JMOQ)
               4. Through FTXP, activate the line for the new condition type. (enter the tax percentage rate as 0)
               5. Now run the transaction MIRO.
This will resolve the dump in the transaction MIRO.
    4. For direct posting to FI through the transaction FB60/ FB70, the tax calculation is not taking place.
Answer: Ensure that the following steps are carried out -
    1. Insert the condition table 003 in the access sequence JTAX one above
the last step. DO NOT MARK IT AS EXCLUSIVE.
    2. Create new set of TAX codes to be used in FI only.
    3. Maintain condition records for these tax code using the table 003,
through FV11 with the appropriate tax percentage.
    5. System does not allow posting of small differences (positive or negative) in invoice verification (MIRO), even though it is within the tolerance limits. Error message no. FF704, "Tax code in procedure TAXINN is invalid", is displayed in MIRO.
Answer: Set the tax code 00 in "Assign tax code to company code",maintain Condition records with Tax Classification combination for zero tax code.

  • Sales Tax code mandatory in Material Master

    Hi,
I am into developement and trying to create a material. In the Sales View1 tab it shows me 2 entries under Tax data.
One entry for DE and other entry for the country I am working for.
All the sttings seems to be similar vis a vis Sandbox where I could see only one entry.
What could be the reason.I don't want to have DE entry for tax there.
Also, I have to enter the tax code there.I am using zero tax(v0) and it asks me to put it there everytime.
How to make it optional.I do not remember how it was done in Sandbox as it does not stop me there.
    It's urgent.Please suggest.
    Thx in advance
    Regards,
    manOO

    Hi Steve,
thx for that.I have created one procedure for my country and have assigned it to country coe.I have done all the settings similar to Sandbox.I have created zero tax code since there is no tax involve for some reasons but i guess even there is no yax one has to create this calculation procedure and assign it to country code and then subsequently via FTXP create tax code for zero tax and then use it when required(for example at the time of invoice)
what I did not understand as asked earlier is that why system is showing me 2 tax codes DE and AE in sales 1 view ?and why it is showing me mandatory entry.
Showing up of 2 entries is okay but then I have to enter zero tax in both the lines. That is why i asked how can I make it optional.
    Is there any way ?
I tries to search in the material master field status... but the group 190 where i could see this tax cose field is already optional.
What could be issing here ??
    Thanks in advance

  • V0 tax code

    hi friends.
do we have to maintain condition records for V0 tax code(zero tax code).
    why...
    thanks in advance...

yes, to enable SAP to find such condition.
Without, SAP cannot pull this information and you may get the error that the pricing is incomplete.
However, in purchasing the tax is not important if it is a deductable tax, we dont maintain any tax in a purchasing document. This way we got less errors when posting invoice.
If you havent given any tax code in the PO, then the accountant can enter whatever is required when he does invoice verification. And the accountant should be the person who has the best knowledge in this area.
If you specify a code in the PO, then the accountant may not be able change this when doing LIV, then he has to request a change in the PO before he can proceed.

  • Tax codes for capturing excise duty

    dear all,
how to create taxcode for capturing excise duties and where to link them for capture of excise invoice.
    thanx in advance.
    velu

    Hi Velu
use T-code FTXP to create ur tax code. If u r using TAXINJu will maintain %  while creating tax code, or if u r using TAXINN  u will maintain zero tax.and save it.
this zero tax code you will use when u maintain tax records- tcode:FV11
Assign the tax code for the country.
Assign ur TAXINN  to the country.
Create a record for the matl, vendor and maintain the price  for  ur condition type.
Create a PO ,system automatically picks the price from the record.
    save the po
capture the tax  using T-code: J1IEX_C  and save.
after that do MIGO or while receiving the matl itself you can capture, based on customization.
    Rewards if useful

  • Ftxp tax code

    Hi,
1 I have the below list of tax category to choose from in FS00. May I know why only A0 and V0 exist in FTXP?
    -  Only input tax allowed
    +  Only output tax allowed
    All tax types allowed
    <  Input Tax Account
    >  Output Tax Account
    A0 Output Tax - 0 %
    V0 Input Tax - 0 %
2 what is procedure in FTXP?
    Thanks
    Rgds

    Hi,
A0 and V0 are two Zero tax % codes means they dont have any Tax rate (0%) . These Tax codes are codes for certain GL accounts where Tax category is preesent but if the transaction is not attracting any tax but if the tax field is required then these two tax codes will be used based on the business transaction (input or output).
In FTXP you will define tax codes with the tax rate and GL account to which VAT will be posted.

  • Tax code maintained as ZERO, then also tax has been charged in billing docu

Tax code maintained as ZERO, then also tax has been charged in billing document. Please help to find some solution
    Point will be rewared accordinly..
    DAVID

In access sequence, if you check for your tax condition type, see what table is maintained.  Normally, for domestic scenario, table 368 would be used.
So go to VF02, key in the billing document and execute.  There go to "Header" tab and check what tax classification for customer is flowing under the sub tab "Taxes".
Next go to item level tab "Item Detail" and see what tax classification is flowing for that material.
Now in VK12, for your tax condition type, you should have assigned tax code for the above combination.  From your comments, it seems, you have maintained for wrong combination.
    thanks

  • Getting the default zero-rated sales and purchase tax codes

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to obtain the default zero-rated sales and purchase tax codes? ie the tax exempt sale and purchase tax codes.  The OADM holds the default sales and purchase tax codes but not the default zero-rated sales and purchase tax codes. Is this set by region?
    Lita

    Hi Lita,
I don't know much about the zero rated tax codes or where it is set up, but what I can suggest is if you know where the system retrieves it (say on an Invoice) that you use SQL Profiler to possibly investigate where the queries are pulled from.
Where in SBO is the zero-rated tax codes used?
    Hope it helps,
    Adele

  • Mass Contract Update - Item price become zero after Tax Code change

    HI Guru,
I have issue on the contract net price which become zero after change in Tax code of item.
Took the opportunity to update contracts to reflect the changing VAT code (from V0 to V1 for some items) from the Trx code: MEMASSCONTRACT. However, having run the transactions (ME33K) above the contracts are now displaying zero prices on the Item Overview.  The conditions are all correct (PB00) and the follow on purchase orders seem to be picking up the correct prices but we need to resolve the issue of zero prices on the item overview.
Please help me in this why it is happening like this? & what is the solution for it.
    Thanks in advance
    Praveen Katageri

    Hi,
If pricing picking , just check  validity period ( Valid from & Valid to) in  condition of the  Info record. Also check any scale is used & price active or not in condition of Info record.

  • Tax code error while releasing a billing document to accounting in VF02

    Hi SAP Gurus,
While trying to release a billing document to accounting, the following error is displayed
" Tax Statement Item Missing for Tax Code TA".
    Message number: FF805.
Please provide your valuable inputs to overcome this issue.
    Suitable points shall be rewarded.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sreeni.

Check your pricing procedure. One of the Tax relevant items is ending up with a base value of Zero.
This is easy to check if you double-click on tax related Pricing Conditions, you will find one of them with a base value is zero.
If not, it could be something more simpler, like GL Account master data. Make sure the "Post without tax allowed" box is checked and ensure the tax category is masked ("*").
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

  • Invoice not released to accounting: tax code issue

    Hi All,
Iam getting an error while i released my invoice to accounting. No accounting document generated. the error is " Tax code V0 does not appear in any G/L account item Message no. FF753"
we have various condition types in our invoices. Only  TAX condition type ZWST has tax code V0. rest of the condition types like basic price, cash dicsount, rebate condition etc do not have tax code assigned to them which is right since only tax conditions have tax code assigned to them and which is ZWST only.
My question is why the above error comes " Tax code V0 does not appear in any G/L account item Message no. FF753" . if I double click on the error message, system shows me the following
""""""""""""""""tax code V0 does not appear in any G/L account item
    Message no. FF753
    Diagnosis
The document entered contains a customer or vendor item with tax code V0. This does not occur in any of the G/L account or asset items.
    Consequences:
If you have not entered the cash discount base manually, the system will set it to zero in this item.
If this item was paid with cash discount deduction and the cash discount amount contains a tax portion, the tax code entered is used for the backdated tax calculation. An automatic breakdown does not take place on the basis of the offsetting items.
    Procedure
Check whether the tax code was set correctly. If necessary, correct it or enter "**".
There are, however, also situations in which it makes sense to enter a tax code manually which differs from the offsetting items, for example, during data acquisition.
    Effects on Customizing
You can define when this system message is to be issued in accordance with your requirements.
In Customizing, choose Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.
The application area and message number can be taken from the technical documentation """""""""""""
I do not know what system is saying.Could anybody help.
