Zero unit price at invent. trans. gd receipt and last purch. price

Hi Expert,
I am wondering why B1(2007) does not update the last purchase price when the good receipt has been done at Inventory > Inventory transaction > Good receipts if the unit price is ZERO?
However, if the non-zero unit price is entered and transaction post, the last purchase price will be updated accordingly.
Thanks

Hi!
That may be the system behaviour !

  • Showing Zero Unit Price/Row Total

    Hi,
We currently allow posting rows for item sales with zero unit price. I am having trouble showing the unit price and row total as "$0.00" instead of a blank field with PLD. Both of these fields are system variables (80 and 84), neither field is linked to itself, and neither field has the 'Suppress zeros' box checked. Any possible solution to this? Thank you.

    Hi there,
You could try using a formula type field and multiplying your system variable field by 1.
    - Say for example your Unit Price field has a Unique ID of F_100.
    - Create a new line Formula field and set its value to Round(F_100*1,2).
    - This will display your zero value unit price as 0.00.
    - Note that I'm only using Round() to display zeros after the decimal place, otherwise the zero value unit price would appear as 0. So change the number of decimals as required.
    - Unfortunately this removes the currency code display from the value so you will need to re-display it if required, you can do this using a database type field and selecting the Price Currency field.
Do the same for row total. Hope that helps.
    Regards,
    Andrew.

  • Unit price validation in Purchase Order, Goods Receipt PO and A/R Invoice

    Hello!
I want to have validation of the Unit Price field in Purchase Order, Goods Receipt PO and A/R Invoice documents.
This means that user has to get some kind of message if she/he do not enter the Unit price in above mentioned documents.
I can not use the price lists for this, to get the field populated automatically, because I do not have all the prices...
I am no longer newbie when it come to SAP, but this really puzzles me
    Thanks,
    Dejan

    Hello guys,
I have tried to add this code to check if the field Unit Price was empty in the Purchase Order form (Object ID 22)
But it gives me an error message - Error converting data type varchar to numeric (CINF)
I am getting the same error message even if I have some value in the Unit Price field...
I am really confused - what is wrong with it???
Here is the code from the Transaction notification
    IF (@object_type = N'22' AND @transaction_type in (N'A', N'U') )
         BEGIN
              IF EXISTS (SELECT T1.DocEntry FROM OPOR T0 inner join POR1 T1 on T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
              WHERE (T1.PriceBefDi IS NULL OR T1.PriceBefDi = ' ') AND T0.DocEntry = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
                   BEGIN
                        Set @error =1
set @error_message = 'Unit Price cannot be blank'
                   END
         END

  • Unit Price in 'Receipt from Production'

    Hi
Shouldn't the Unit Price in 'Receipt from Production' show the sum of current cost of all items that are within the respective Production Order? That would be AvgPrice for items set to Moving Average and the cost from the respective FIFO layer for items set to FIFO.
What if the price shown is something completely different ??
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    Franz

OK, I did some more testing in a test environment.
It was my mistake that I thought that 'Unit Price' is the value that is posted as cost to the product. Actually, the cost posted is not calculated before really posting, at least it is not shown, since 'Item Cost' is empty before posting. When recalling the same 'Receipt from Production' after posting, 'Item Cost' is populated with the value posted to the Item Master data of the product - which is the correct value as far as I checked up to now.
I have no clue where the value in 'Unit Price' is coming from and what it represents. If somebody can shed some light on this ....
    Anyway, Thanks
    Franz

  • Po with zero net price

    Dear Experts,
How to set 100% discount or free of charge item category to allow zero net price?
    Thanks & B.Regards

    Dear Tam,
    SAP does not allow -
    1. Invoice receipt with free goods indicator ticked hence you can not enter delivery cost.
    2. Net value in PO to be zero if free goods indicator is not ticked hence you can not have 100% discount.
You need to findout work around to capture delivery cost in material account for delivery charges paid to vendor on material delivered free.
One of the option could be.
    1. Create a PO for free goods with Free goods delivery indicator on.
    2. Do goods receipt of free goods.
    3. Create MIRO without PO and debit the account of material with delivery cost.
Note- Material tab is visiable in MIRO if you have activated direct posting to material account in SPRO.
SPRO - > Mat Mgmt - > LIV -> Incoming Invoice -> Activate Direct Posting to G/L Accounts and Material Accounts
Hope this may work for you.

  • MIGO - Blank out the Qty in unit of entry field on PO receipt

Within MIGO upon PO receipt, standard behaviour is that it defaults Qty in unit of entry field to the total remaining outstanding qty.
Customer has requirement to blank out the Qty in unit of entry field on PO receipt.
We have looked at Business Add Ins for MIGO (e.g MB_MIGO_ITEM_BADI, MB_MIGO_BADI etc) and does not appear to be feasible.
Does anyone know a way to do this ?
    Regards.
    Phil.

    Hi Joyce Roessner
Could you please check in MB01 t-code & see quantity field is open for edit or not.
This is controlled at Field selection & can be customised at fuctional level.
Make GOITEM-MENGE as Input at follwoing path
SPRO>MM>INv Mgmt & Phy Inv > Settings for enjoy trans>Settings for goods mvt(MIGO)>Field selection for MIGO

  • Unit Price in Item Master Data

Step no.1) At time of Defining Item Master Data  we are Defining Unit Price say<b> 2,000</b> <b>INR.</b> Data Saved in Price List 01.
Now with this information I am Preparing Purchase Order. After Selecting Specific Item unit price is reflecting in P.O by default, Then I modified Unit price from 2000 INR to 2500 INR in P.O.
Step no 2)  I received material by Goods Receipt PO
Step no 3) When I am posting A/P Invoice based on GoodsReceipt PO in invoice the original Master Data Unit price is Reflecting.
Now vice versa I made another Transaction also in Another System.
In Step no 3 it is reflecting the Unit Price of Purchase Order.
Can I know why it gives different Information for same type of Transaction. Does I followed wrong System.
    Regards
    Narender

    Please confirm the following.
Once you select a Price in PO it should carry all the way through at the AP Invoice and should not change unless changed manually.
Are you copying the PO >  Goods Receipt PO > AP Invoice
And when copying to Goods Receipt PO or Invoice you are not changing the price or Pricelist
    Pls let me know

  • Wrong Unit Price in a Good Issue Document using DI

    Hi,
in my addon I want to create a new Goods Receipt document, using DI.
In the Lines, I set the ItemCode, I set the Quantity, and I set the Price, then I add the document, but when I go to Sap, in the Goods Receipt created, the Unit Price is wrong. I've try to set Quantity and LineTotal, Quantity and Price, Quantity Price and LineTotal but all the combinations is not correct, and the Unit Price is not equals to the price that I have set.
I have try to change the Price List, but nothing is happened.
    This is my simple code:
    Dim entrataMerce As SAPbobsCOM.Documents = myDB.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oInventoryGenEntry)
    entrataMerce.CardCode = cardCode
    entrataMerce.Series = series
    entrataMerce.Lines.ItemCode = itemCode
    entrataMerce.Lines.Quantity = 1
    entrataMerce.Lines.Price = 100
    entrataMerce.Lines.WarehouseCode = whsCode
    entrataMerce.Add()
    Where is the error?
    Thanks
    Marco

Instead of Price, try using UnitPrice? This is a confusing area of the DI :/

  • In RFx comparison, the unit price of un-qouted items shown as ???

    Dear All;
    We are using SRM7.0.
In RFx response, if we leave the price as zero, the system will display the below message:
Line 0001: '0' in the price field means that you are offering the item for free
Line 0002: '0' in the price field means that you are offering the item for free
Line 0003: '0' in the price field means that you are offering the item for free
therefore, we have to change the submitted qty to zero and keep the price as zero too. By doing so, the system will NOT consider these items as free item. However, in price comaprison details, it shows the unit prices of all these items with zero prices and qty as ???.
Is this the system standard to show the unit price of un-quoted items as "???".
    Appreciate your help.

    Hi hoasheq
We changed using Message control to force Vendors to put a price while submitting RFx Response.
Cause once a Vendor submitted a price 0 we were not able to create POs out of the winning Bid.
In SRM 4 it used the price we had in ECC to create the PO.

  • GR based iv or not GR based iv unit price on map & standard

    Hi,
I got the help from forum of the below during MIGO.
    MAP
PO price Dr to Inventory A/c
    PO price Cr-GR/IR
    Standard
PO price Dr to Inventory A/c
    PO price Cr-Gr/IR
I would like to know for both GR based iv or not GR based iv, are the above 2 cases (MAP and Standard) still the same where unit price is getting from PO.
    Thanks

    Hi Cal,
Technically the accounting entries would be the same (from PO Price) whether you select GR based IV indicator or not. GR based indicator is used to confirm the agreement of terms when goods ordered and while delivered.
If goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification has been defined for an order item, an invoice for the order item can be entered with reference to a goods receipt document or a delivery note number entered at the time of goods receipt. In the process, a separate invoice item is created for each goods receipt. Checking of price and formal accuracy of the invoice is performed at this item level.
    Follow this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/75/ee0d4055c811d189900000e8322d00/content.htm
So unltimately it is the GR which decided the value & qty acc entries. GR based indicator simply to enalbe invoice creation based on the GRs happened on that PO, if this indicator is set before you do LIV GR is mandatory, and accounting entries will not change.
    Hope its clear

  • MTL MATERIAL TRANSACTIONS having zero unit cost

    Hi All,
For some of the POs, we are getting zero unit cost in the Receiving Account, but rest of the POs are working fine and correct data is populated.
This is not with any particular Org as well. Any idea what can be the reason so that the cost will be zero in there.
I am new to costing/Finance module, so please let me know if I am not making sense or missing any information that will be important to get the solution.
    Thanks,

    Amit
What is your costing method in that organization? Can you please check the price in the PO for that item which is giving you this issue?
This can happen: If your price in the PO is Zero and you are using any costing method when you receive this is what happens:
    Cr Accrual Account @Po Price
Dr Receiving Account @Po Price (could be Zero)
When you deliver to Inventory depending on the costing method value will change:
    In std costing
Cr Receiving @ po price (zero)
Cr Purchase Price Variance @st cost
    Dr Inventory @ std cost
    In avg costing
Cr Receiving cost @ Po Price
    Dr Inventory @ po price
But the cost will be recalculated as
(onhand qty*current cost+po qty*po_price)/(onhand_qty+po_qty). So if the cost was 100 and onhand was 1 and if the po qty is 1 and po price is Zero cost will become 50.
    Thanks

  • Unit price of finished Product

    Dear All,
Can any one tell me,how system calculate the unit price of finished product when we make reciept from production in SAP B1.
    Regard's
    Hari Narayan

The Actual Production Cost is not derived from the BOM, but from the production order Components tab. It contains originally the lines from the BOM, but they are modifiable. And the system uses these data from the production order and the cost prices of the components at the time of the Receipt from Production transaction (Cost price = Item master data / Inventory tab / Item Cost ). So if you modify the production order, the system can use different components for getting the production cost for different receipts. And may be with different cost prices.
The by-products (the negative quantity components in the production order) have no affect to the actual production cost.

  • Net Unit Price of Invoice Item Not Kept/Deleted

    Hello everyone,
Yesterday I had an issue with a supplier invoice uploader I've created --- it uploads consistently which is nice, but for some reason the unit price is disappearing on me. I've got the following lines:
in which 'row.zItemNetUnitPrice' is decimal (currencyCode is always going to be GBP in this case, so I figured I didn't need it) and row.zAmountOrdered is obviously a Quantity type. Now, here's the strange part: when 'newSIItem' is created using siItem, the unit price is deleted --- as in, immediately after creation of newSIItem, the unit price is set to 0.00. But the amount ordered is kept as it was set. So obviously that's weird, and is causing all my invoice items to be created as zero price --- you'll agree that's not very helpful.
What's also strange is that, in order to remedy this I tried to just set the unit price to what I wanted AFTER newSIItem was created, as according to the repository explorer it's not read-only. This worked --- up until I set the account assignment type, at which point it got set BACK to zero as follows:
As you can see in the debugger, it says 'changing invoice price not possible...'. --- but the net unit price field isn't read-only. So my overall question is: what the hell is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is my entire mass-enabled AfterModify script and the XML file I'm using as part of a file input run on the custom business object to which this script belongs. Thanks!
    Lewis
EDIT: I tried moving 'newSI.NetUnitPrice.Amount.content = row.zItemNetUnitPrice' to after the account assignment --- it seems it was invalidated by any subsequent command, even to the point that having it directly before setting gross amount to total gross amount would still not work. I also tried setting net amount instead of net unit price --- the debugger specifically told me that net amount is read-only. But the repository explorer says it has write access. Anyone able to shed light on this?

I solved this --- I noticed that I had siRoot.DocumentGrossAmountsIndicator set to false but creating the root node (newSI = SupplierInvoice.Create(siRoot)) turned that back to true again for no apparent reason. My guess is that having this set to true, i.e. all values are gross, dynamically sets all net fields to read-only. Once I discovered this it was as simple as setting the indicator back to false post-creation of the root node, and then net price fields were accessible again.
