Zoom settings will not remain stable

Opening a web page, the presentation is too large. I change the zoom setting to an acceptable level. However moving to another page on the same website the previous setting is ignored and I need to start all over again. Why won't the chosen level stay locked?

I have solved this problem myself! However for others I hope this might help. Click on Tools>Add Ons>Default Zoom Level 4.3. If you don't immediately see this particular Add On find it via the Search Box. Download this and install it. The first time you next go to your favourite page set your personal required zoom level - this level should now be locked for every subsequent page that you visit. Don't forget if you alter this level at any time (smaller or larger) - that level will apply to any subsequent page.

The new update has screwed up my browser settings, I cannot get them fixed and Im pissed because my computer is an eye-sore to read until this is fixed! To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.

Printer head will not remain stable on device

I wanted to know if their is a way to send my printer in to get it fixed, or if there are any authorize hp people here in MS to fix on printers. I have a wide format printer that I have only used 3 times but now the heads go back and forth on it and I will not print. I would appreciate any help I can get!

I understand you're looking for a place to get your printer looked at/repaired in the Mississippi area. I will certainly do my best to assist you with this.
If you're still under warranty with HP they may be able to offer a replacement or whatever they deem necessary, you would just have to contact HP Tech Support for your area and do some troubleshooting to determine if a replacement is the way to go. If it's not under warranty, you can look for Authorized HP support providers by checking this Find Authorized support providers site.

System Settings will not save my desired mouse scroll direction

I understand the Apple genius of wanting the Settings: Mouse: Scroll direction: Natural box to be checked. But **** it, this is MY iMac and I want the scroll direction to remain Unchecked, so the screen scrolls in the direction I’ve been used to for YEARS.
The problem is the System Settings will not save the unchecked scroll box. I have to return to the System Settings every time I log on to UN check the Scroll Direction: Natural box.
Will Apple ever fix this so that I, and others, can operate the scrolling as THEIR LONG-TIME USER sees fit?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Sounds like the Outlook plugin isn't working properly. You could try a couple of things:
Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, uninstall iCloud, the download and install the iCloud contol panel for Windows again from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455. Then sign back into your iCloud account and check your syncing settings again.
Uninstall iTunes and all of its components as by following this guide exactly: Windows XP or Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes. You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful. (Uninstalling iTunes will only remove the application; it will not touch your iTunes library or data.) This will replace the Outlook plugin.
Then try your calendar again and see if it will sync properly now.

No matter how often I go to settings>cellular and turn off the apps, as soon as I close that screen they automatically turn back on.
I prefer not to delete the apps and reload them as I will loose the data in them when they are removed.

First thing and easiest thing to try is a device reset:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

I had a similar problem with a Canon MP800R under Mac OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks.
In my case, the MP Navigator app in the dock was linking to the wrong file.
It linked to Applications > MP Navigator 2.1.app > Contents > Resources > MP Navigator.app, but it should link to the "main" app, probably under Applications > MP Navigator 2.1.app.
After pulling the correct MP Navigator app file to the dock, I can start MP Navigator again by clicking on it in the dock. However, when clicking on it, a second MP Navigator icon will show up in the dock and stay there until the app is closed. By the way, the MP800R scanner also works (although officially not supported by Canon).

GConf: "saving configuration settings will not be possible"

Hello folks.
I'm new to Arch, but not new to Linux. This problem has me stumped.
I've just installed Gnome on top of a fresh Arch install, apart from Firefox, a few daemons (HAL, FAM), and some laptop related settings (cpufreq, pm-utils), there's nothing else on here at the minute. I've followed the instructions on the wiki, and I've Googled my heart out about this problem without a solution.
Gnome starts fine and appears to work okay, but it refuses to save certain settings, specifically in the Sessions tool (I'm trying to setup Compiz). When I start the GConf Editor tool, these errors appear in everything.log:

I've deleted my ~/.gnome* and ~/.gconf* directories and started again, and this error still appears.
Short of changing the permissions on /etc/gconf (which I presume is The Wrong Thing to do), I'm not sure how else to approach this problem.

When you update to Firefox 4 it will use your existing bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
Firefox 4 is currently scheduled to be released next week.

There's a little box that comes up on my computer after I try to update the Adobe Reader. It says: "Your current security settings will not allow this to download". So I went into my Norton Security and disabled the antivirus program. I don't even know if that was the "settings" that the message on my computer was meaning. been looking for something a bit like it got an old ipod thouch in a audio dock in the kitchen and want to give it access to all my music not just play what is synced
so far my only options is to get an app to use upnp to get the music directly from my nas
or get some app which require the computer to be running and running some program to handle it
and as far as I can tell getting access to stuff synced on the atv is a no go

After the latest update, 35.0.1, Firefox dumped all my passwords and will not remain active in keeping passwords. I must keep checking the "Remember passwords for sites" box every time I use Firefox and enter a website. I will download version 36.0 now that it has just notified me.
