Applying SAP_APPL add on

Dear experts,
I am applying the SAP_APPL 603 add on installation. I am facing an error. Please find below message of error and guide me.
The installation was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase
XPRA_EXECUTION, which the Add-On Installation Tool is unable to resolve
without your input.
After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the
import by choosing Continue in the queue display.
The following details help you to analyze the problem:

I ran the process in forground and got below notice :

This is the biggest issue i am facing, I have done all adjustment in SPDD, all components are Green there. dont know why its saying 1 object left in SPAD.
Second: Regarding the SPAU i am stuck on SPDD SPAU is still to come.

I am applying Support pack12 of SAP_APPL (SAPKH60012) in my ECC 6.0. The system is on linux with oracle 10.2 G.
the patch implementation is stopping at IMPORT_PROPER (Error_Stop). I have checked TP and everything is running fine. I am pasting below the action log of the same. Please let me know what could be the problem. Also let me know if required anything else.

Apply add-on bundle without Zenworks agent installed?

Hi all,
I've created an add-on image file from a bundle within ZCC, but I can't apply it when imaging a computer. It says it can't find any installed Zenworks agent, and that is true, since it is not part of the base image. Instead it gets installed when Windows boots up.
I found this post that says you can use another add-on image to create an empty directory structure on the computer before you apply the add-on image, thus fooling it to believe the agent is installed.
This doesn't seem to work here, though, maybe because we have 64-bit Windows 7. I changed the directory structure to reflect the C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder, but it doesn't seem to work.
Is there any workaround for this, preferrably without having to install the agent within the base image?

Oh well... this was quite silly. I found the answer myself, and it seems that if you only create an add-on image with empty folders, it will not be created on the workstation (although there was no message to indicate that). But when I put a dummy text file into the \Program Files (x86)\Novell\ZENworks\work folder, the structure was created and I was able to push out the add-on image file afterwards without the agent installed.

Outlook Add-in becomes Inactive randomly

We have created a VSTO Add-in for Outlook. The add-in is intended as a plugin so that the other third parties can write their own "providers" that our addin can utilize. As an example the add-in shows a grid of Items. Anybody
can write a "provider" and display their own items in our grid.
To do this our add-in in made up of a three projects. core , common and library. The Library contains the public interfaces.
At run time the add-in uses MEF to load any provider assemblies.
This has been working quite successfully at numerous client sites with many users for some time. However last month a client reported that when they start Outlook the Add-in was going inactive. No attempts to re-active it would work it always
went back to inactive.
We turned on VSTO_SUPRESSDISPLAYALERTS and found that the issue seemed to be because the assemblies were not being loaded when the Add-in initialized.
Checking the assemblies that were being dynamically loaded we found that two of them were unsigned. We subsequently signed the assemblies, re-applied and everything worked.
So far so good. We patted ourselves on the back and made the assumption that some MS security Patch had been applied that stopped unsigned assemblies from being loaded at run time.
We could not however replicate the issue in house , not could we find the patch that might have caused the issue.
The problem however continues....
Our installations team took a draconian approach to this issue and started installing the signed assemblies on all our customer sites regardless of whether or not they had the original issue.
For most clients everything was fine. The add-in worked with or without the signed assemblies. However at one client site on a number of users pc's the add-in was still inactive. removing the signed assemblies and putting back the unsigned
assemblies resolved the issue. To say this is weird is an understatement. The complete opposite behavior.
Now this week they have reported another user has suddenly found the add-in is inactive and using neither the signed nor unsigned assemblies works.
We are at a complete loss what to look for next.
To summarize.
Our add-in dynamically loads assemblies at run time using MEF
It was working fine at all sites until recently.
Add-in randomly becomes inactive and cannot be re-activated either manually or through the registry.
Signing the Assemblies works at most sites
At one site unsigned assemblies work and signed assemblies do not
At the same site one user reports neither set of assemblies will activate.
We have run Caspol and cannot see anything amiss
We have used Caspol to apply Full Trust - no affect
We can not replicate in house
Things we are trying
Machine comparisons between working and non working pc's
Removal of all other add-ins
If anyone has any other suggestions what could be causing such behavior it would be much appreciated.

I do not believe the issue depends on the signed/unsigned assemblies. Check out the Trust center settings to make sure that Macro security settings are not applied to add-ins. Also pay special attention to the Trusted Publishers list.
Anyway, Microsoft Office applications can disable add-ins that behave unexpectedly. If an application does not load your add-in, the application might have hard disabled or soft disabled your add-in.
Hard disabling can occur when an add-in causes the application to close unexpectedly. It might also occur on your development computer if you stop the debugger while the Startup event
handler in your add-in is executing.
Soft disabling can occur when an add-in produces an error that does not cause the application to unexpectedly close. For example, an application might soft disable an add-in if it throws an unhandled exception while the Startup event
handler is executing.
When you re-enable a soft-disabled add-in, the application immediately attempts to load the add-in. If the problem that initially caused the application to soft disable the add-in has not been fixed, the application will soft disable the add-in
again.

Also pay special attention to the
Performance criteria for keeping add-ins enabled . Outlook 2013 monitors add-in performance metrics such as add-in startup, shutdown, folder switch, item open, and invoke frequency. Outlook records the elapsed time in milliseconds for each performance monitoring
metric.
For example, the startup metric measures the time required by each connected add-in during Outlook startup. Outlook then computes the median startup time over 5 successive iterations. If the median startup time exceeds 1000 milliseconds (1 second),
then Outlook disables the add-in and displays a notification to the user that an add-in has been disabled. The user has the option of always enabling the add-in, in which case Outlook will not disable the add-in even if the add-in exceeds the 1000 millisecond

can anyone tell wat are the steps that needs to be taken before going in for the BI_CONT add on 7.03??? is there any proper procedure that needs to be followed for installing this??
the last time that we went in for this BI CONT add on 7.03, the process went on for some 4 days... so thats why, we want to be absolutely sure this time around...

You can apply BI_CONT add on 7.03 Via T Code SAINT it will take min 6 hour or depends on your database size or system hardware like your system RAM.

I've developed an add-in for outlook 2007, the setup doesn't give any errors but when I open the Outlook the add-in is disabled.
May be because is the only add-in with <any Author>.
How can I set this properties in visual studio 2010?

After pressing the apply button, all fields become readonly in page

cant we disable add another row button when we press apply button. why because after pressing apply button add another row can add new row and that row also becoming readonly. so how to control that addanother row button after pressing apply button.Yes you can disable the add another row button by using SPEL.

Post patching it is recommended to perform business scenario testing to ensure things are working fine post patching.
Perform bug fix if any and transport the same to other SAP systems in the landscape.

SPAU:No SPAU when applying the package in QAS system

i was applying SAP_APPL in dev system , and SPAU occured . we sent the conflicts to dev team and got all the
adjustments done by them and record that in a transport request . we did not release the transport request from
Dev system.Now i am applying SAP_APPL in my QAS system , but i am not getting SPAU .
could anyone help me to understand why i am not getting SPAU here.
we have not imported the SPAU adjustment to QAS system.
how/where can i find (table entry ) to ensure that i get SPAU in QAS system also.
our patching activity is standstill , any help would be higly appreciated.

Hi,
It is not uncommon that you are getting some objects in SPAU in development system but not in quality system. Reasons because: there will be number of standard programs in development system that have been modified but same has not been transported to quality/production system. So, if you are not getting SPAU in quality system then you should not transport SPAU request in quality/production.

This plugin is used a an "interface plugin" for various systems (CRM, BW, APO), upgrading it will lead to additional work in the connected systems (in the BI you will need to re-sync your data sources).

Applying GRC-addons in Backend systems

Dear Freinds,
I am trying to install the GRC RTA's VIRSANH 530_700 and VIRSAHR 530_700 in the SAP backend systems. I started applying the Add-on for the VIRSANH which prompted a password by displaying the note 1133167. When checked in SMP it says "The requested SAP Note is either in reworking or is released internally only" and the same message for the Note:1133168(VIRSAHR). Please suggest
how to proceed like do i need raise an OSS to SAP Team.

ICACLS permissions set... but dont apply without change something in the ACL by hand

I wrote a script for setting up permission on fileserver resources.

Group":(OI)(CI)(IO)(M,DC)
So browsing rights working fine... But the user can´t see the folder Supervisor...(I see the applied perissions on the ACL on folder Supervisor)
If I add a custom group/user by hand to the ACL on Supervisor the user are able to see the folder and also have the needed permissions.
I can also uncheck one special perission from a applied group, add it again and click on OK... then the user are able to see the folder and also have the needed permissions.

Would you please tell us how many users have this issue?
I suggest you uncheck all the permissions on this folder manually, then use
icacls command to test again.
If some other groups contain some specific users, and these groups are assigned
Deny access permissions, then these users cannot access the file. That’s because
Deny permissions’ precedence is higher than Allow, also,
explicit permissions’ precedence is higher than inherited ones.
Therefore, please check other groups and the explicit permissions on this folder.

I have a Cisco ASA 5505 (version above) and I have someone that needs to SSH into a box behind the ASA. I'm having a few issues trying to configure this access-list and NAT. I've tried many combinations and clearly my IOS is not as good as I thought.
Can anyone help with this? What commands should I enter to accomplish mapping SSH from an outside network range to an internal host?

This may or may not work depending on how your modem handles the natting. On your firewall try this -
static (inside,outside) tcp interface 22 192.168.100.98 22
then add this to your acl on the outside interface of your ASA -
access-list outside_in permit tcp 8.8.8.0 255.255.255.0 host 10.1.10.2 eq 22
if you don't have an acl applied then add this extra step -
access-group outside_in in interface outside

How do you get Illustrator 4 Photocopy effect to work in color?

In previos versions of Illustrator, I could take a fill object ..with any color applied, and add the photocopy effect. This was a great tool to use, to illustrate and give texture to large patches of colors, which I used all the time in our site plan renderings (gras lawn effects).
Now in version CS4, when I go t oapply the photocopy effect to a fill, it automatically drops the color and changes the object to black and white. This defeats the purpose of being able to apply an effect to a colored object if the setting returns the color to BW. Not sure if I have something clicked wrong somewhere in Illustrator.. or is some programmer actually made this change... and dear god please change it back... it is a terrible update.
Help I need to apply effects to colored fills.... especially the photocopy effect.

Here is a sample image from a previous plan completed a few versions back.
All that was done.. was to create a green fill, hundreds in this map. Have all lawn elements on a single layer. Select the layer, apply the photocopy effect, change the detail and darkness options to achieve this look and apply. It kept the green color, and applied the photocopy effect to the fills.
Now it changes the object or objects to black and white. The plans that are rendered are to large to rasterize and recolorize objects. Copy the lawn layer with all the filled objects, placing the copied layer on top and applying the photocopy effect to it, plus a transparency... then shifts the color rendition of the underlying object.. I am playing a guessing game of transparency adjustment and, picking the correct green shade underneath to achieve the same effect, almost impossible to match and way to time consuming.
I cannot get blending to work on separate fills with the photocopy and based on trial and error with that method... applying the effect to hundreds of fills would crash the file and my system.
What was... was perfect...now.. a great simple effect has been removed from my toolbox... struggling with finding a replacement.
