SAP_APPL Patch

Dear All,
Currently we are applying SAP_APPL patch.
During that we have done SPAD/SPAU acitivity.
Now SAP_APPL is at current patch level. Is it required to test business process now ?
Thax.

Hi ,
Post patching it is recommended to perform business scenario testing to ensure things are working fine post patching.
Perform bug fix if any and transport the same to other SAP systems in the landscape.
Hope this helps.

  • Error in DDIC_Activation phase for SAP_APPL Patch

    Dear Friends,
I am importing several ABAP patches for my IDES 6.0 SR2 system, they are:
    - SAP_APPL (SAPKH60007-SAPKH60009)
    - FI-CA (SAPK-60007INFICA-SAPK-60009INFICA)
    - FI-CAX (SAPK-60007INFICAX-SAPK-60009INFICAX)
The patches are in the same queue.
I have received a stop error in the DDIC_ACTIVATION phase.
It says "View VSCAUFV_CN could not be activated". Please help me resolving the problem since I am not able to process further.
Appreciate your help and reward points too.

This is the information which I am getting in the system--
The view to be activated must still be adjusted in the database to the new definition in the
    ABAP/4 Dictionary.
    Procedure
Generally the view is adjusted in the database system by the activating program itself (or
in the release upgrade by a subsequent step of the upgrade process). If this is not
successful, the view is not activated so that there are no inconsistencies between the
ABAP/4 Dictionary and the database system.

  • Error in the phase IMPORT_PROPER while applying support packages

    Dear All,
    I am on ECC 6.0(ABAP+JAVA) SR2, SUSE Linux 10 SP1, DB2.
I have successfully applied the kernel patch and started applying the support packages,  i have successfully completed applying the ABAP, Basis, BW, HR and other related patches, but i am not sure why i am stuck at the import_proper phase when applying the SAP_APPL patches (SAPKH60008 and SAPKH60009 both in the same queue) and my tp log is as follows

And also when i look at the Support package import logs they show that
    TEST IMPORT
    Import ABAP Dictionary Objects and
ABAP Dictionary Activation phases ended with return code 4
But i dont think this can give any problem.
I have tried to import from the phase where it stopped, but all of a sudden i get disconnected from SAP and get an error message saying that NO CONNECTION TO THE DATABASE, then when i check for the processes for dw and db2 there are process already running.
I had to start SAP and only then i was able to connect to the SERVER again.
Can you please help me on this..
For any more information plz let me know
    Thanks and regards

    Dear Balaji,
Thank you very much for the reply...
I deleted the import request in the STMS and wi ran the RDDIMPDP and RDDMNTAB reports and restart the SPAM, but this time the SPAM immediately stopped, but i am still connected to the system and the error which i got earlier (database connection error ) is now not occuring.
But otherwise also i noticed that i get the following ABAP Dump while this error is triggering
    ===================================================================
    DBIF_REPO_INTERNAL_ERROR
Internal error when accessing program "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB=============CP ".
An unspecified internal error occurred in the SAP-internal
    database interface.
For further analysis the SAP system log should be examined
    (transaction SM21).
Check the entries in the developer trace of the relevant work process
    (transaction ST11).
Attempted to access component "LOAD" of program
    "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB=============CP ".
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:
    "DBIF_REPO_INTERNAL_ERROR" " "
    "SAPLSTPA" or " "
    ==========================================================================
Based on this error i searched few notes and got the below results 309583 and 132383 but these are not for my release.
So i request you to kindly help me on this as i am running out of time in delivering my server.
Waiting for all the valuble replies
    Thank you in advance

  • How to know which SPS a system has?

    Hi,
Because Support Package Stack (SPS) is a sum of Kernel + ABAP patches + Java patches, so how can I know which Support Package Stack (SPS) a system currently has?
    Thanks,

    Hi Toan,
There are diffenent way's to find out which stack are you now? but it's depent's on the SAP release too. If you are using NW04 or NW04s and using EP you can check it from http://<host name>:50xxx/index.htm  then go to system admin there you find all the information.
If you want to get it from ABAP stack, check SAP_APPL patch no, It is the SP stack no. Yo can get good doc at the following link.

  • Spam stopped at SPAU

    hi all,
I am importing SAP_APPL patch (SAPKH60004) on our development system.
we have ECC 6.0 with MAXDB database.
    the import stopped by saying
    spam status  : modify Ajustments.
      next action : perform Adjustments
    any sugestions
    thnx and regards
Edited by: kavitha l on Apr 12, 2008 11:13 AM

Adjust the Modification in SPAU, and later continue with SPAM
You  can also note the programs affected in SPAU and adjust them after the SPAM.   Make sure you do the adjustment before you apply the next level patch for the same.

  • SAP_APPL 600 04 PATCH ERROR

    Hi Gurus,
When I implement the SAP_APPL 600 04, it shows the OCS has some error with add-ons in the action log, but didn't specify what's the add-on.
Below are the add-ons that I recently patched:
         PI_BASIS 2005_1_700  -10
         SAP_AP  700  -6
         SAP_BW 700  -9
Now the queue import screen shows that some CRTs should be import.
Would you help to advice where should I download the CRT?

Sorry that I missed out for one add-on which I have already patched.
    ST_PI 2005_1_700 PATCH 002.
I cannot find the place where informed the corresponding CRT. I find some place which indicates some notes for certain support package. but they are not appliable for my system.
    The action log is:
Import phase 'TEST_IMPORT' was successfully finished (12.01.2007, 10:15:44)
       Import phase 'ADDON_CONFLICTS_?' (12.01.2007, 10:15:44)
There are conflicts between OCS Packages and Add-ons
Abort the import due to an error situation (12.01.2007, 10:46:27)

  • Error During apply SAP_APPL  Support Patch

    Dear all,
During the applying SAP_APPL Support Patch, I got the following error.
Phase RUN_SPDD_?: Information on objects Modified in System
The ABAP Dictionary objects were imported completely. This means that all imported ABAP Dictionary objects are now available in your system in the shipped original state.
The system detected however that 1 of the ABAP Dictionary objects in teh support packages have been modified in your system.
Check whether you want to retain or restore the changes you have made.
To do this , call transaction SPDD (Choose 'call SPDD').
For more information about performing the modification adjustment, see 'modification adjustment help'.
    Note:
If you do not perform a mofication adjustment, all the changes to the objects named in transaction SPDD are lost after dictionary activation. If you have modified tables, this may lead to data being lost.
    help me.

    Thanks Gagan & Amber,

This is the biggest issue i am facing, I have done all adjustment in SPDD, all components are Green there. dont know why its saying 1 object left in SPAD.
Second: Regarding the SPAU i am stuck on SPDD SPAU is still to come.
Kindly suggest, Resolution will be appriciated.

  • SAP_APPL 600 06 PATCH ERROR

    Hello experts,
on applying patch SAPKH60006 to our ERP2005 I get an error with a "z"-table.
ZTTK3RFDAD is created by SAP and updated in this patch. But apparently there are some data definitions not correct, so activation of this patch won't work.
The corrections come in patch SAPKH60009. What can I do?
    Thank you, Frank.
PS: OCS Queue is defined from SAPKH60006-10.

    Hi Frank,
You might have some repaired objects that hasn't been release... check in transaction SE03 under display repair objects to see if the object causing the problem is in repair status... once you either release or modify the transport containing the repair you'll be able to proceed with the patch..
    Hope this help

  • SAP_APPL level 13 patch problem

    Hi experts,
    While applying SAPKH60013,
    It is getting stuck in
    Import phase 'TEST_IMPORT' (07.10.2008, 19:28:01)
Abort the import due to an error situation (07.10.2008, 19:28:07)
    If ignore test errors
It gets stuck in IMPORT PROPER phase.
    OUR OS is AIX5.3
    Our DB is Oracle 10.2
    Please help solve this problem
    With regards

    > If ignore test errors
Did you check the error messages if they can be ignored? Not all can...
    > It gets stuck in IMPORT PROPER phase.
    Check the import logs:
    - SPAM
    - Goto - Import Logs - Queue
then drill up to the "red error".

  • Inconsistencies on pool tables when import patches

    Hello Experts.
I installed the enhacements packages of EA-PS and SAP_APPL (version 603) on my system SAP ECC 6.0 Unicode 64 bits. This process terminated correctly.
Then, when i'm importing another patch of SAP_BASIS or another component with the spam, the system return me the following error in the check_requirements phase:
" Some open conversion requests still exist in the ABAP Data Dictionary
for the following ABAP Dictionary objects. To avoid inconsistencies and
loss of data, you must process these conversions first.
    Proceed as follows:
    - Open a new session.
    - Start the Database Utility (transaction SE14).
    - Correct the inconsistencies for the specified objects.
    - Repeat the import phase. If no more inconsistencies are found, the
      import continues.
Phase CHECK_REQUIREMENTS: Open ABAP Dictionary Conversions
    Object Type       Object Name
    Pools/Clusters    GLSP
                             GLTP"
In the se14, for both, there is not inconsistencies on the database objects but on the runtime objects, the
length of the vardata field is a half of the value of this field of the runtime object.
For correct this inconsistencies, i execute the reports RADPOCNV (ABAP Dictionary: Table Pool Conversion) and RATPONTC (Adaption of VARDATA field for table pools).
Now this tables are totally consistent but when i import again the SAP_BASIS patch or another patch, the inconsistence error still appears.
¿How could i resolve this inconsistencies?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Subhash,
we have installed mySAP 2004(Netweaver 04) on our new server while the old one being ECC 5.0 . Is the mismatch in software components becoz of that.
If not then how to overcome the problem .
    Plz reply asap.

  • SGEN & Patch Upgrade

    HI,
We update the patches for ECC5.0 on our SAND server, After up gradation is finished I run the SGEN with option "Generate all objects of selected software Components" & select only SAP_BASIS as a component. The SGEN took more than 8 hours to generate all the objects. Please note that none of the user is login to the server during this activity. Also, our system is responds slowly after updating the patches. Now after running the SGEN for SAP_BASIS it becomes comparatively fast.
Now we have plan to update the development, Quality & production server, but we can not offered such a huge time to upgrade. That is the reason I think to apply patches for SAP_BASIS & run SGEN after generation of objects then only I apply the next patch SAP_APPL & run SGEN & so on.
I want to know the proper suggestion for this because it is my think process, is it proper steps to apply a patch & generate the objects or should I apply the all the patches & then only I have to generate the objects for all components.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
It's a best practice to allocate downtime when patching the system, In the best case scenario you should be able to complete this task during the weekend and the users will not be affected (Specially for Production)
In my personal opionion is much better to do all the upgrades and then run SGEN only once.

  • ABAP patch import error - SAPKH60007, SAPK-60007INFICA, SAPK-60007INFICAX

    Hi,
I am importing several ABAP patches for my ERP 6.0 system, they are:
      - SAP_APPL (SAPKH60007-SAPKH60009)
      - FI-CA (SAPK-60007INFICA-SAPK-60009INFICA)
      - FI-CAX (SAPK-60007INFICAX-SAPK-60009INFICAX)
The patches are in the same queue.
But the import is stopped with info.:

      - Error message: OCS Package SAPK-60007INFICA, tp step A, return code 008</b>
I find no detailed info. about the error in SAPK-60007INFICA log, the same for SAPK-60007INFICAX log. But in the log of SAPKH60007, I find out the following info.:
<b>   Table WVKOMP could not be activated

Table Type W_TT_KOMP could not be activated
(E- Row type WVKOMP is not active or does not exist )
Table KONBBYH was activated (error in the dependencies)</b>

Field name KNUMV can be provided in this system. Please do not use.
Field name .INCLUDE can be provided in this system. Please do not use.

I also try to re-import but nothing new. Now I cannot reset or delete the queue to try other ways, I must going import the patches.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
