Authorization - Configuration/Development Tab

Hi Experts
Can you please let me know if there is any standard authorization object which can be used for the below scenario in Solar01/Solar02 for configuration and development tabs.
We can add several Business Object types(BMTA, BMRE, COBJ) on the Development and Configuration tabs. The requirement is to only make the Document(BMCD & DOKU) Business Object type available for maintenance on these two tabs. All other Business Object Types should not be open for maintenance but should be limited to display only.
I have already checked the below authorization objects and they don't meet our requirement.
AGS_BOATTR
AI_SA_TAB
Also let me know if there is any badi/exit where I can do the development if this can't be met through standard authorization object.

Confid tab, development tab & transaction tab data

Hi,
I am able to download the documents from Gen. documentation tab, Project documentation tab & training material tab. But i am not able to download from config tab, development tab, transaction tab, message tab & test cases tab which are in tabular format.
please help me if anybody has an idea of downloading documents from the these tabs. Are there any reference tables or function modules available or some other machanism to fetch this data?

Hi Satish,
I think I must be misunderstadning your issue, because I would normally say you could do the following:
1. Highlight the document, Click the Display icon, select File > Save Copy as...
2. You can also check it out, save it locally, then check it back in. However, this makes another copy in the KW, so the first one is easier.
If you can't do either of these, you have an authorization issue or you're using a modified Z t-code version of SOLAR01 or SOLAR02 and someone hid these buttons for some reason.
Look into SI80 for a mass download perhaps. I haven't seen it before but I haven't looked either.

Enable Landscape Configurator - Runtime tab? Please guide...

Am working on EP7 SR2 and its like a development server....one instance in the lanscape here.
Question:
Am I suppose to enable the <i>Development</i> checkbox which appears under Landscape Configurator -> Runtime tab (this appears after Tack tab) or this is used by CMS to transport components?

How do I move the photos around in Develop tab ?

Hi there,
I have selected a photo and wanted to do some adjustments to the exposure, saturation and whatnot. So I went to the DEVELOP tab.
As the picture is too small, I press "Cmd +" to enlarge the photo. But the section of the photos that I wanted to see was not there ... how do I get the hand-tool to move the photos around ?

Error while importing ESS.sca file in Development tab.

Try this out. I had a similar problem and i did this to make the import successful.
1)     Go to usr/sap/J2E/JTrans/archives and copy the sca file with version shown like the above screen shot.
2)     Unzip the entire sca file by renaming it. In the META-INF folder open the SAP_MANIFEST.MF file and the replace the 32 character guid for the field 'pr_dtrwspropagationlistid'
3)     Change it to a different value and save it.
4)     There will be four folders when the sca file was unzipped. Select all the 4 folders and then zip it again to the original name of the sca file.
5)     Copy this file and then place it in the path usr/sap/J2E/JTrans/archives.
6)     Now try re-importing the file it should work.

NWA is not opening in PI 7.1 from Configuration & Monitoring tab

When i try opening NWA from Configuration & Monitoring tab, it is not giving me proper results as i do from /nwa in generic scenario. I'm getting message as "No data available to the system selector".
I'm using PI 7.1.
Do i need to configure anything?

Error in check in the ESS in the development Tab of CMS

In our project ESS/MSS is already implemented.
We are to chnge some iview so we have implemented NWDI and Under XSSTrack i have checked in all the below .sca file.

->Files are on the same server
->Checkin always fails (RFC-Callback not allowed)
->online works always fine (sure: with gui-download instead of FTP->No probs)...
Does it mean, i need a special Storage category? the one i have has the vault-Indicator...

Develop tab not working. Error msg "?;0: attempt to perform arithmetic on a string value" Help!

I continue to get the error msg "?;0: attempt to perform arithmetic on a string value" when clicking on the 'Develop' tab in LR. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software 3 times from the original disc. I'm in the middle of a wedding edit. Help!

It sounds like you might have a corrupted preset.
Here's something you could try:
Go to your Preferences/Presets tab and push the Show Lightroom Presets Folder button.
Then close Lightroom and temporarily rename that folder. If the problem goes away, one of your presets is bad. Otherwise name the folder back to what it was and let us know what happened.

Issue with create user and issue with Java Development tab

I have two issues with EP,
1. When i login with Super Admin user, i am unable to Create any user from User Admin tab. Do i have to change the settings of the Super Admin? or is there any criteria for creating the user?
2. How to assign any user the Java Development tab. Though i login with a super admin user i am unable to see the Java Development role and when tried to assign the role, there were no searches for that Java....

Hi Adi,
by default the super administrater has got all permissions. Thus you should be able to create portal users when using a user assigned to the portal group Administrators.
In order to help you with your first question we need more information. Please describe the malfunction in detail. Have a look into the log files and post related error messages.
Regarding your second question: You will find the java development role in PCD
pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.pct.pdk/Roles/com.sap.pct.pdk.JavaDeveloper.
If not, then you haven't installed the PDK business package in your portal.
Go to service.sap.com, choose downloads and search the package (PDK should do it). Download the package, and deploy on your portal using SDM.

Timeout in Oracle Configurator Developer responsibility

The configurator html page timesout in 2 to 5 mins so in our production instance. The users had to logout and login.
Navigation: Oracle Configurator Developer-> Configurator developer. If we do not touch the screen for 5 minutes and then then click on something, we are getting time out due to idle session error and the user has to log back in again.
We are able to consistently see this behavior in production.
Any ideas how to solve this?

Authorization at Folder Tab level

I have design a form which has lots of folder tabs , but now i want authorization at folder tab level, so that only authorized user has access to those tab, while unauthorize user is not able to see content inside the tab

user1 - Full authorization
user2 - No authorization on tab level

Yes u can write a small logic like that, for a specific user some folders will not be avaliable, for that i suggest u create a new UDT with some cols like user name, and folder item UID to restrict, so that the end user admin can update this table with the required folder item ID and user code as the users can change in the future,
So u can have a logic like
If loggedInUser = restrictedUser Then
msgbox("Not authorized to view this information")
bubbleevent = false
End If
U need to execute this logic in the item click event.
