Balance Sheet negative values

Hi all,
I've already implemented the IC 0FIGL_C10 and V10, and the business content queries that are available show negative values for equity and liabilities, but they are positive in the R3 balance and therefore the totals are not correct.
Any idea about the reason of this ?
Thanks!

Hi Pablo,
First of all, look at the cube content and check if balances have the same sign as in R/3.
If no, then look at transformation in transfer and/or update rules.
If yes, then look at the query definition.
I see here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/49/026940c3c7bf49e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
that Balanve is determined as 0DEBIT – 0CREDIT.
Since in R/3 liabilities and equity are positive, then the formula above will give you negative amounts.
You either change the query definition or revert the sign for liabilities and equity during a load into the cube.
Though, there is a certain logic in SAP representation:
assets are treated as positives while liabilities and equity as negatives.
Best regards,
Eugene

  • Balance sheet values to COPA/PCA

    Hello all
We need to allocate and take few Balance Sheet account values as well to COPA OR PCA for finer reporting, any pointers on this shall be very helpful?
    Thanks
    Balla

    Hi Balla,
Can we understand the business requirement a bit more clearly. I'll put down the background as per my understanding.
    1. PCA - the requirement is to have the balance sheet at profit center wise - If you are using ECC6.0 all you need to do is set up document splitting functionality. Once this is done, all the documents (P/L and B/S) will have the profit center mandatorily and the balance sheet is possible at PC level. Of course you can imaging that with this PCA has become redundant.
    2. COPA - I do not understand why a balance sheet item will come to balance sheet should come to any profitablity analysis ever? As I'm analysing the profitability at any level i will not require the balance sheet item in any case unless you are trying to achieve something else with COPA. Do you want to recheck the requirement or can you please explain the exact business requirement?
    Best Regards

  • Balance sheet reports - YTD or Periodic

    Hello Experts,
Had a question about how and what data needs to be loaded from BW to BPC NW version so that I can create balance sheet reports in BPC. Currently I am loading the periodic debit-credit activity to my planning application for all the accounts (Its the 0FIGL_O14 DSO and there is a custom cube created over it. We are not loading the 0BALANCE from the 0FIGL_C10 cube).
As an example, when we select in the current view both 2011.MAR and YTD, I though the report was supposed to return the values accumulated between 2011.JAN to 2011.MAR for Balance sheet accounts. Instead of that, the report returns only the 2011.MAR value.
But after reading a couple of threads on the forum I found that the above is the right behavior since balance sheet account values are always loaded as YTD.
I know I am doing something wrong out here but dont know the exact reason and how do I correct it?
Please give suggestions around how balance sheets are to be created and what data needs to be exactly loaded from BW...
    Thanks
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
It is ideal to make all the custom changes in BW itself and feed it as-is to BPC, as to do this in BW it just requires some simple ABAP.
I am assuming that you are feeding data to BPC via 0figl_c10 cube(transaction figures) or a custom cube based on it. This cube should have 0sales(periodic balances) and 0balance(cumulative balances). So enhance this cube with a new key figure and populate this key figure based on the approach that i mentioned to you earlier. Just map this newly added field to BPC signeddata to meet your requirement. This is the best approach that i see.
PS: Please assign points if you find the answers helpful.

  • Transaction ABST2 - Asset balance sheet values not completely posted

    Hi,
An error message appeared when using transaction ABST2.
"Asset balance sheet values are not completely posted".
    What can be the reason?
How can I check what is missing?
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Linda

    Linda,
Run a normal asset report on G/L account and compaire this with the values on the G/L account.
When there are differences you can use transaction code ABF1 with trans type 100. With this transaction you can post on the asset account whitout using an asset number.
The results in the transaction ABST2 is difficult to understand. This was a transaction that was used with the Euro conversion. When there are difference it dont block the fiscal year change.

  • Balance Sheet Value

    Hi,
The calculated key figure used in the report (Balance Sheet Value) is adding stock value + flow value. I’m not sure what those two fields connect to in R3 but it appears that they do not calculate correctly.
I attempted to trace those two data elements back into R3 but were unsuccessful. Could you provide some guidance as to what those two key figures are?

These key figures are read from the R/3 tables GLFUNCT and GLT0 and the hierarchy table 0GLACCEXT by the function module, RS_BCT_FIGL_DATA_GET.
In the key figure 0VAL_STOCK (asset value), the service displays the asset share of the balance sheet. The key figure 0VAL_FLOW (flow value) contains the values of the P&L statement from the financial statement structure.

Oracle BI Applications provides two ways to populate the GL balances (stored in the W_GL_BALANCE_F table), as follows:
By extracting the GL balances directly from Oracle General Ledger, as follows:
In DAC, for the Subject Area 'Financials - General Ledger', in the 'Configuration Tag' tab, make sure that the tag 'Oracle - Extract GL Balance' is unchecked for the 'Inactive' checkbox.
Make sure the tag 'Financials - Calculate GL Balance is checked in the 'Inactive' checkbox.
Click Assemble to redesign the subject area.
After the subject area has been redesigned, redesign the execution plans that contain this subject area.
By calculating the GL balances based on the records in the W_GL_OTHER_F table, which stores all journal lines, as follows:
In DAC, for the Subject Area 'Financials - General Ledger', in the 'Configuration Tag' tab, make sure that the tag 'Financials - Calculate GL Balance' is unchecked for the 'Inactive' checkbox.
Make sure the tag 'Oracle - Extract GL Balance' is checked in the 'Inactive' checkbox.
Click Assemble to redesign the subject area.
After the subject area has been redesigned, redesign the execution plans that contain this subject area.

  • Negative values in Service Entry Sheet

    Hi,
I am in need of creating service entry sheet lines with negative values (for a certain account assignment).
    Bare with me, this will be long (-;
In my business scenario, (PS module, Construction Business) I use PO`s for external services with limits only. This PO has only one line ; the vendors are contractors who build for my company various types of buildings.
Every month I get an invoice from the vendor (contractor) for his monthly work, with a total sum, divided into various types of construction activities (Electricity, Sanitation, Paving and so on).
Against this invoice, a service entry sheet is created, with service lines from a service model containing construction works, in which I use material groups with account determination, so that each activity has its own GL account and cost element.
Immediately upon creation of the service entry sheet, logistic invoice verification is made (MIRO) based on the SES, and the payment is transferred to the vendor`s account.
My problem begins (ah! at last...) with the second monthly invoice and on.
It is almost by default that in this invoice, some of the construction activities from the previous month appear with negative values - mostly corrections.
Is there any way I can enter these negative values in a service entry sheet???
Remember - I cannot revoke the previous entry sheet (because of MIRO and payment)
I have already encountered error SE397, and the problem is that although the total value is positive, my negative values appear for independent account assignment lines.
    Thanx in Advance,
    Eytan.

    Hi Sanjeev,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I do not need to enter an entirely negative SES.
As I wrote, only one line is supposed to have a negative value, while the whole document is positive.
I was able to create a SES with negative values in lines, but only when I used the same material group (hence account assignment). Unfortunately, this does not always help me because In some cases, the negative value belongs to a single account assignment line.
And why can`t I have a similar (automatic) function like material movement 102?
SES automatically creates in the background GR document with material movement 101.
    Eytan.

    Pankaj mishra

    Hello
In MTO process - first creation of sales order
                                 ru the MRP (md02)
cration of process oders ( md04)
                                 convert production order
goods issue to cost centre against production order
Do the GRN of finished product
check the accounting views of finished product.
if you defined all the accounting views properly then system automatically valuated the materials.

    Hi,
The setting of different valuation class and different G/L accounts is fine for different plants.
Just see that your financial statment version is showing this two G/L account in the Finished goods inventory list and then you are done.
