Cost element deletion-COEP entries deletion originated from Spl purpse ledg

Hi Folks,
We have created RA GL account by mistake as cost element and some entries have already gone into table COEP table. To delete cost element the prerequisite is that cost element shouldn't contain any entries. We have deleted COEP entries by using program "RKACOR20 : to delete CO documents for the GL doc and its reversal document" generated from FI, but unable to delete one entry which has got originated from Special purpose ledger. Can any one suggest way to delete this entry from COEP table.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks

  • Delete Cost Element which has a posting

    Hi,
How do I delete a cost element which already has a posting in it?
    Thanks,
    Teo

    HI Eli Klovski,
    Your solution is:
The cost element should not be deleted after actual/planning data is put on it. You can prevent further posting on it in various ways, but you won't be able to delete it.
Can you tell me how to prevent further posting to cost element but it should be posted in FI
    Suggest me please.

  • How to delete a cost element

I am unable to do a settlement for order number 6000110 as I get the message Complete alloacation structure in A1.
I know the cause of this problem is due to an incorrect posting which has already been reversed, thereby reflecting no charges to the cost element . However, the actual cost element and its description still appear under the order 6000110.
I do not want to extend the structure to include the incorrect cost element 60503 as the range starts from 80000 to 89999.
Is there any way I can remove this cost element so that it does not display under order number 6000110 ?

    Hi NIketa
Whats the detailed error message? Can you paste that here?
Also, check the following, which may resolve your issue
    1. If you are settling to the Top most WBS, i.e. to the project itself, do not do that... Settle it to a lower level WBS, atleast one level lower than the project...
    2. Check if the status of that WBS is REL (released) and
    3. The flag for "acct asst elem." is checked in the WBS element

  • How to track , who has deleted table entry

    Hi Experts,
Is there any way so that i can know that who has manually deleted few entries(data records) from my table, actually my table has "Display maintenance allowed" property set.
Can we track it anyway that when and who has deleted that table record.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishek,
Actually the changes made for an entry into table will have two effects.
Changes at the data element level and another at the entire db table level all these changes will have an entry only if the change documentation is activated.
Table logging concept wherein SAP records all insertions, deletions, and changes in tables
OSS note 139418 will gibe you general information on logging user actions.

  • Exclude cost elements from settlements

    Hi,
we are trying to run a settlement from WBS to AuC. When running the settlement we receive error KD503 ( 'Complete allocation structure &'). We have postings on the WBS of which some are relevant for capitalization and some are not. We excluded the cost elements not relevant for capitalization from the allocation structure.
Is there any way to run a summary settlement and to exclude specific cost elements?
    regards, simon

    Hi Simonderine,
Check all the debited cost elements on WBSE are included or not for capitalizing and for settlemenet to Cost center as per your Allocation structure mentioned in the settlement profile.
Make sure that all cost elements should be included in the allocation structure.
This error is mainly occurs, if any one of the cost element with debit entry at WBS Element level is not included in the allocation structure, whether it may be settled to AUC or CC as per your business requirement.
    Hope this helps you !!

  • Statistical cost element (Value type 11) line item entry in CJI3

    Dear all
I am doing WBS settlement to AUC thr CJ88. Suppose actual cost on WBS is 100 rs.
CJI3 report shows the balance to be settled to AUC. Now It is showing 100 rs balance. I carry out WBS settlement to AUC.
Even though settlement has taken place to AUC, CJI3 is showing line item entry of 100 rs (Statistical cost element with value type 11).
This also affects our reporting as in report S_ALR_87013558, because of statistical cost element line item entry, WBS actual cost is showing as (100+100 st'cal)
Also, I read in sap note 666152 that we can define transaction type as not releavent for account assignment. But i dont see this kind of setting anywhere in transaction type.
Can we restrict the statistical cost element to not take part in CJI3 (CO reporting)?  How we can avoid statistical CO postings.
    Pls suggest
    Madhusudan Patil

    Hello,
Statistical postings could be generated, if
    (a) you have 2 co-objects, e.g. cost center and internal order. There is a default rule in the system, that in this case the internal order will be posted real and the cost center statistical
    (b) you have 2 co-objects and one is marked as statistical in the master data. Actual Postings only to statistical co-objects are not possible. You can not settle statistical values, they will stay at the object.
Please check OSS-message 106968. It explains everything in detail.
You can modify your report, that it will show only real postings (value type 04), but I wouldn't do it. For me it sounds that you have to check your value flows in general. They look inconsistent, if you do not expect statistical postings.
    Kind regards

  • Mistake in creating cost elements

    Dear Guru's,
By mistake, Sale revenue GL accounts have been created as cost elements under "01" category instead of 11 category.
Due to this mistake, Sales values are not flowing to COPA,
Please help me in this regard, how to correct it.
    Regards
    Anuj

    Hello,
If you have dependent data (actual and/or planning data) on the cost
element for the fiscal year there is no way to change the category type
until the next fiscal year. This is to prevent inconsistency in the data
    for a given fiscal year.
What I can advise is to change the validity period of the cost element
as of the next fiscal year in KA02 to change the master data in
relation to the cost element type. This should be no problem.
In case you need to execute this change for periods where you already ha
postings on the cost element, all the previous postings to this cost ele
within the fiscal year need to be reversed or deleted. In most cases thi
not easily possible - so it mainly depends on how many postings you have
made to this cost element. In case you can remove the previous CO-docume
use note 175522 by deleting the postings with report ZKACOR21.
Delete all the actual postings for the particular cost element\fiscal
year combination so that there are no dependant entries in the CO tables
There are entries in the following tables COEP, COSP, COSS and
    COKA.
Notes 37093, & 38955 that explain how to delete cost elements
    where there is dependent data.
"the cost element can only be deleted, if you delete first the entries
of following tables: COEP (CO object:  period-related line items),
and with the information document number and line item of COEP you can
delete the entries in table COBK (CO Object: Document header). The name
of the summarized table is COSP (CO Object:  Cost Totals - External Post
ings). The last table is the most important one it is the control table.
The Transaction KA04 will select this table before deleting a cost elem
ent. Its name is COKA. If you delete all entries it should be possible
    to delete your cost element."
Even if the COEP table line items are 'zeroed out, they are still
considered as line items. Please review your COEP table.  If there
is a posting to the cost element, you can reverse the posting so that
that the cost element has a zero balance, ('zeroed out'). Then please
review attached note 175522 and try running report RKACOR21 described
in the note. Please try this in your test system first.
Please try this way to delete table COKA/COSP entries:
-run report:RKACOR20(refer to note 45122) to delete the CO documents
for the GL doc and its reversal document
-run report:RKPLNC27 (refer to note 549760) to delete zero records in
    table COSP (with parameters:object number,fiscal year,version)
-Then run report:RKPLNC25 to delete dependency record in table COKA.

  • Change of Allocation Cost element in Activity type during Fiscal year

    Hi,
An activity type was planned on a cost center in KP26 with a wrong cost element. Then actual activity allocations were posted with this acitivity type. Now I have reversed all actual allocations on this cost center with this activity type and keep trying to delete the plan line item in KP26 to be able to change the cost element.
Unfortunatelly the deletion is not succesful. I get the Message no. K8098:
"Costs already posted under cost element 12345. No deletion possible
    Procedure
First reverse the posted record under cost element 12345."
I have reversed the allocations. The Balance on the cost center is 0. However the reversal seems not to be sufficient.
Do you have any idea what needs to be done to be able to delete the plan line item in KP26?
    With best regards,
    Robert

    Robert,
Follow this note it may be helpful. I guess you need to delete the records from table before doing anything else.

  • Cost element in service PR

    Hi,
We are generating service PR thorugh CJ20N. While gerating PR, some cost element is bydefault coming in to it. I want that no cost element should come by default and user shuld enter cost element no while generating PR. How can i do this?
    Regards
    Kalpesh

    Hi,
Apart from the above, check in the service master, there is a field Valuation class, if anything is mentioned there, then that valuation class determines the cost element. Remove that valuation class from the respective service master.
But why you want to make it manually? It also increases the data entry load to the users, to simplify that, you can go with multiple valuaton classes, those can be assigned to the respective service masters, so that required cost element will automatically appears here.
By default that field is mandatory, without any value in that field sytem will not allow you to save the transaction.
How many cost elements are there?
    Regards,
    Praveen.

    Hi,
Use T.Code OKTZ for the relative cost element has to be assigned to one of the components there in
the cost component structure. Choose the nature of assignment for eg. raw material, choose the source and give the cost element.  Then choose Assignment and give settlement through Cost center, Order. While coming back activate the cost component structure and save.  Try for the Costing.

  • Cost element not assigned to any line id

when i excute the transction kkax i am getting cost element is not assigned to any id
would you please explin the wip configuration steps.
i am not aware the masked cost element
    with regards
    Srinivas

You need to read the error to find out which cost element needs assignment.
You need to assign the source cost elements (through t-code OKGB),  that are expected in the production order to various line ID already created. You maintain this data for CO area, RA version and RA key combination. You use masking when you mention which cost element to be assigned to various IDs. You can also direct various cost element, if it comes with a combination of particular cost center and activity type to a particular Line ID. If you need to keep it simple, just enter +++++++++ for cost centers, activity types and Business processes. Cost elements can be masked as follows; for eg. All cost primray cost elements for materials, if they start from 210001 to 219999, the you can mask them like 00021+++++. Give the line ID in the column Required to Capitailze.
Your line IDs typically would reflect the cost component structure.
