Hi,
Can any body help me in creating E-mail Template step by step. And adding the attributes from the escalation fields. And assigning that template to Service Manager Profile. Thanks a lot.

HTML Editor for creating e-mail templates for SAP Cloud for Customer

Hi Techies,
                 Is there any preferred software for creating e-mail templates to use with SAP Cloud for Customers ? I mean to avoid unnecessary errors when creating standard e-mail template which are recognized unified manner within the system.
Will appreciate with rewards points for best support.

Here is a template for the wire-frame that we used. We went with pure HTML tables so that the response could be multi-client compatible. We found that additional code caused issues with certain clients. In the middle table, we had linked icons to our respective self serve properties and additional support options for Chat and our own Support Community.
The content of the email will be placed where #Text# is. Our email responses include the content and the basic signature. We also provide our detailed legal disclaimer at the bottom with additional links if needed.

Creating a Mail Template for Letters

Hi,
When I am trying to create a new Mail Template for Letters in DEV it is asking me to enter the Package Name. What package name should I enter?
When I am trying to do the same thing in the QA system it is giving out the error saying
Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted
Choose Display Object or Cancel
SO we cant create a new mail template for letters in QA.?

Creating a mail template to send from iPad 2.

I need to set up a template email which I can send from my iPad to respond to rental enquiries for my holiday house. I can easily do this from my desktop but so far have been unable to do this in mail. Is there a way? I've also tried to create a template in Pages thinking I would send it as an attachment but I can only choose the templates provided and I can't change them - ie. background colour and amount of photos. Please help??

I have no access to NetWeaver,so can I create an E-mail Template with ByDisign Studio or notepad? can anybody tell me how to create this template?

I realize this is about a month old, but in case anyone is searching for this, yes, you can create this in Notepad or any HTML Editor.
You'll set by entering in basic HTML - you can specify placeholders in the syntax of [...] - for example [CustomerInvoice-ID], which corresponds to the schema of the data (<ID> is a child element of the root <CustomerInvoice> element).
So something as simple as:

Please find invoice [CustomerInvoice-ID] attached.
</body>
</html>
Would be a valid (though not very useful) e-mail template.

Creating a Mail "template"

Is there any way in Mail to set up a template format (adding special statements to the bottom of each e-mail)so that these wouldn't have to been manually for each New Mail via "cut and paste"?

I'd like to migrate my office from Eudora to Mail.app, but one of the few things I like about Eudora more is the "Printed for..." bit that shows up at the bottom of printed emails. Is it possible to add this to each user's default printing template? Thanks in advance for any help.

Create Custom Mail Template-Setting up wfMessage based upon workflow

I have some 4 workflows and each should send out an email as soon as it is triggered.I have created one template which has some metadata fields,I need to dynamically change the wfMessage and wfMailSubject based upon the workflow,i wanted to understand how can we set the value of these 2 variables in the template.Do i need to create a custom component for each workflow with resource Strings and set this value and create a template and call this template.Has anyone implemented anything like this before?

I think it's a question what the template should serve for. Usually, you want to modify it to change the content of the message - you may add a logo, re-organize the email, etc.
But often, you use variables wfMessage and wfMailSubject to parametrize the text and the subject of the message. Note that this is not mandatory, and you could modify the logic of the template so that those two variables are derived from other workflow content (something like move to the code of the template a code like) <$if dWfName like "Workflow1"$>

<$wfMessage="Message for Workflow 2"$>
...It will work, but somehow, I don't like it - I think these two should be parameters set up by workflow, not something contained in the template, but that is my opinion.

can any one guide me how to create a custom email template?, i am very new to the UCM, i have read everything about the component manager but i still do not what type of component and what to write inside it.

Hi,
For the workflow email notifications.
If you use the Component Wizard tool to create a new blank component.
Then add a resource to it. Select template as the option, can leave other settings as default and then click next. Next screen can leave default as well.Click next.
On this screen there is a Select button at the top right, use this. From the pop window select the show all check box, there are a few templates in the system you can work from. The one for the reviewer step is called "REVIEWER_MAIL", search for and select this.
Change the Name at the top of the window to something unique. Click ok and return to main component window.
The name you gave the field before is now show in the right hand pane.
If you launch the editor on that slection takes to the code and can modify the template (will have all code from main template).
Enable the component.
Call the new template from workflow

1.Create the Actions profile using the Wizard
SPRO->IMG->CRM->BASIC FUNCTIONS->ACTIONS->ACTIONS IN TRANSACTION
2.Assign actions to actions profile
     you can assign more than one action to same action profile
3.Select the processing Time
       processing immediately
       when saving the document
       selection report
4.Select the smartform for E-mail
5.Select the form (created before) T.CODE-SMARTFORMS
          Create the Template, out put form
6.Assign the Schedule condition and Start condition
         Logic for the condition
7.Then Assign the Action profile to your Transaction type in ic web.

Off the top of my head, you should be able to create mail templates in muse BUT it will require very basic html/css knowledge on your part. I am assuming you want to do just the signature?
Create the design you would like on one page, dont do any kind of styling in a master page. Then export the site into a folder. Open the html file with notepad/ textedit and then copy just the code for JUST the template. Throw it in you mail app of choice and it should work.
This seems like something that would be done alot quicker in dreamweaver in design view.
PLEASE NOTE: ^i could be completely wrong - but in theory this may work.

Advice on creating an email template in CS4

I have CS4 and am pretty good at using it. I want to create a templet that I can add my product and send out as a news letter. I am not sure how to do this. Can I build one in DW and cut and paste in imail? I also want to add this buttons so I can get clicks to my site. I would like the button to be in a cell with a description. I would also like to have my logo and additional graphics. Here is the button.

creating e-mail newsletters is quite complicated, if you want to do it properly. Even if you are good in creating websites with Dreamweaver, you may run into all sorts of problems when trying to create and send mailings. Apart from the design and coding itself, which should work in all e-mail clients and text readers you will want to manage your e-mail list, unsubcribes and bounces. You will probably also want to know who opened your e-mail and who clicked which link. Your best bet would be to use a service like http://www.mailchimp.com/ or http://www.campaignmonitor.com/
For the design you can use the free e-mail templates they offer, and change them using DW4 to suit your needs.
For sending your mailing and managing your mailinglist they will charge you a minimal amount of money, which is well spent considering what benefits they offer. You can try it out for free.
As far as your code is concerned, for e-mail newsletters you are better of using a table based layout to be sure your layout remains intact in all the diferent e-mail clients. Find some advice here: http://www.mailchimp.com/articles/how_to_code_html_emails/

Is there a way to create global outlook template

Trying to create a global template. This email address has shared permissions.
I have a user that wants a Outlook template that will run even she is logged out of her computer.
It is being used as a auto reply that the email was received. The reason I need a serverside/Global template is when she is out of the office the auto reply still needs to be sent. Right now the rule runs only when her outlook is open.
I am not sure that this can be done.. Please help.

As per your description, I understand that generally, you would like your email account automatically reply to email messages without the need of keeping Outlook open.
Seems currently, the user is doing this with "reply using a specific template" rule, correct? The downside of this, is that you’ll need to have your Outlook open all the time for the rule to process, even the template
that used is a "serverside/Global" template.
Which mail account type is she using?
If this is an Exchange account, we can achieve this easily by using the rule action of "have server reply using a specific message". With this rule, the Exchange server sends the Out of Office message, so you can close Outlook
and shutdown your computer and it will still send the message.
If this is not an Exchange account, to workaround this, you might want to set the Autoreply on your web-based mailbox (most email service providers might provide Out of Office functionality). This way, you can close Outlook (and shutdown
your computer) and people mailing you will still be getting your auto reply.

Mail Templates in multiple Languages

Hello,
We are in Sourcing 7.0 SP02.
We have a language pack for languages like German, Spanish installed in our system.
But the mail messages for the users logging in those languages are still sent in English. Only some content like the footer/header are in local language since they are localized resources and they have language specific content. But the main mail message is in English. To give you an example: The workflow approval request message thats sent to a Spanish user looks like below:

Estimado test,
This message is to inform you of an approval request for the following: Category Project, 123
Approval Request: Submitted
Start Date: 31/01/2012 16:20

if you notice - the header, footer and some part of the subject is in Spanish - but the remaining content is in English.
Are mail templates in multiple langguages not delivered when we install the language pack.
When I copied a standard mail template and checked it - the content was empty for the other languages that we have installed.
Are we expected to create our own mail content for the other lanuages that are installed in the system?

you need to reinstall the language packs after the tenant configuration. That should to it.
Seems to be a bug (feature) in SAP Sourcing.

Create a .pst template that is entry pt order using trays

Hello all,
I would like to create a .pst template with trays on pallets in entry point order. However, I would like to know if there is a solution to the problem of random trays in the file that are not on pallets. At the moment, I use Monticello to assign the trays to the pallet above or below it. This however takes a long time to do and is tedious. Leaving it alone creates confusion on the production floor.   I can create a template that creates 1ft tray pallets but, that is just silly while doubling the number of pallets for the job.   Also, I suppose I can eliminate certain zips in specific entries so those trays fall to the end of the file. But, the files that are used change each time.   Not very cost effective way to use the programmers time either. Anyone have any thoughts?

   I'm not certain I understand fully what it is you're doing right now with the trays that don't get palletized, since to me it sounds like you're assigning them to pallets where they don't really belong. But that would potentially cause other problems.
   See if this is what you're looking for - it seems like you want to use Presort's "mapping entry points to schemes" feature. If you use that, you would set up a pallet scheme, followed by a tray scheme to pick up anything that can't be palletized. Let's say these are scheme 1 and scheme 2 (it could be more complicated than that if you wanted different mins at different entry types, for example, but let's stay simple). You could set your EP defaults block to have "Scheme Nums per Entry Pt" set to 1, and leave this parameter blank in all the entry point description blocks except the last (local) one, assuming that's where you want to pick up all the leftovers for local entry. In that last EP description block, set that parm to "ALL" so it will produce both pallets and non-palletized trays.
   Then for all your destination entry cases, there will be only palletized trays, and for the local entry you will get pallets followed by any loose trays. This should prevent random loose trays from appearing in the middle of the mailing.
   Let us know if this is what you're looking for, or if there's some other aspect I didn't catch from your first post.
