Disappointed with support

I once commented to a BB employee that the reason Circuit City went out of business was that BB had it all over CC in terms of customer service in the stores.  People always willing to help.  I wonder now if CC might be the victor these days if they were still in business.  I wento the Downingtown PA store about two months ago and stood in the computer area looking for someone to help and there was no one. One person helping another called for help, but no one showed. Then last week I checked out dash cams on BB on line and wanted to see them before purchasing. I go into the same store and the greeter asked how he could help.  I asked where dash cameras were. He said we don't stock them. I said online said the store had 6.  He said the website isn't always accurate and they have lots more on line than they do int the store.  Another associate comes over with his dinner and the first person's dinner.  He, too, says "we don't carry those."   I asked where GPS's were. They pointed to the back of the store.  I went back, saw the dash cam display and despite the lack of customer service, bought it.  The first fellow was now at the customer service desk and looked up. I help the dash cam up and said "you do carry them". He kind of looked disinterested and said "oh."    Very disappointing. I can get that kind of service (none) online.

  • Very Disappointing With BT Lack Of Support !!!

    Hello Everyone
    I would like to know how long a reported line fault takes BT to send out an engineer? As at the present time i have no dialling tone on my phone line to which i have now been unable to use my phone for over 14 days. As my phone connection is not working properly this is also restricting my broadband (ADSL 2 Up To 24mb ) Connection down to just 23kb/s which it now struggles to load most webpages. This is the third time i have had my phone line go dead in the last 24 months but have never waited this long for an engineer to come out !! I'm very disappointed with BT Lack Of Customer Support !! And i have already contacted your support team through your online email service as i'm unable to make any phone calls (Including 999 Emergency Calls If Needed) due to the problem. And so far nothing has been done by BT to solve this problem !!

It has taken me a number of days just to get this page to load & i supposed to be on super fast ADSL 2 this is a joke i'm not even getting the old 56k dial up speed !! My phone has today just reconnected it'self with a dialing tone It is now extremely crackly you can bearly hear the person that calls which states BT has done nothing to fix the fault again I have already contacted them 3 times already I will try phoning them again tomorrow & this will be there last chance before i either close the account & go with a mobile phone service package or transfer my BT account to a different phone provider to see if someone else out there in the UK can actually send out an engineer to fix the fault !!     When you buy an iPhone in the U.S. it's locked to that country with the carrier you bought it for.
    If you bought the device unlocked in the U.S. it's unlocked, you can use it on any carrier. Even one's outside the country.
    If you want to do a repair on a device you bought in the U.S. and your using it in another country, you must send it back to the U.S. Why? That's where you bought it from.
    AppleCare Protection Plans and AppleCare Limited Warranties are registered to your hardware.
    Your hardware is your iPhone.
    Wherever hardware that was bought then that's the country it was designed to be used in and that's where it was manufactured.
    Apple is very localized - if you call U.S. tech support, you'll speak to somone in your country.
    So, what does all this mean?
    In order to do a repair, you need to send it back to the country you got it from.
    And we're all customers like you. We understand that you're upset, but Apple isn't gonna bend the rules to one individual.
    Policy is policy. Get over it.

  • Blackberry Support - Unexpectable....disappointment with the support

    I have been using BB curve 8520 from past 30 months. Just now ,my Touch pad was not working. so i had submitted the phone to BB Service Centre. After 5 days,i am getting a mail my BB is '" Unrepairable ". If Blackberry itself can't repair the phone whats the matter of buying BlackberrySmartphones.. Highly Disappointed with the revert of Blackberry..

  • The Bluetooth low energy protocol is not backward compatible with classic Bluetooth protocol. My iPhone 4s can not find my sonny in-dash player. However my iPhone 3GS does it. Very disappointed with this. Any idea how it can be fixed???

    You are correct, Blue tooth low engergy, BTLE.(only) devices are not backward compatible with Classic bluetooth and cannot connect.
    However the Apple 4S and above have Bluetooth 4.0 support.. Hardware wise it has bothClassic Bluetooth, like the 3GS, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy.  There is no good reason why your 4s cannot communicate to your Sony in-dash player using the Classic bluetooth that resides in the 4S.
    I know that this does not answer the why it does not work, but it should work. Do you have to somehow re-pair the new phone up to the player?  Not  knowing the model of the Sony it is hard to investigate.
    And I hate to ask but are you sure that the Bluetooth radio is on in the phone?

  • Really disappointed with the Macbook pro

    Hi all,
    I purchased a Macbook pro in the middle of January 2011 with some inheritance money. I went for the cheapest one - was going to go for the white macbook like my partner but thought it would be worth the extra money to upgrade to the pro. It was the first time i had made the move from PC to Mac, but was fairly familiar with the systems having owned an ipod touch for a while and my partner also having a macbook.
    4 months on...and i have to say I am really really disappointed with my Macbook pro and certainly not worth over £1000 i paid for it. This is mainly because:
    i find that after a while of watching movies (15 - 20 mins), the video starts to "stutter" and the mouse jumps when i try to move it. I thought this was only the case on flash-based websites (like Youtube - although there is no problem on my partners basic macbook) so installed click2flash. I have since come to realise that it also happens whilst watching DVDs etc. I also thought it may be when the battery is low, but it happens even when it is plugged in. I cant understand how it happens on mine but not my partners even though my Pro is supposed to be a high spec (isnt it???)
    I use Garageband and often record myself by mic input over the top of backing tracks that i import into the program. I have to record with no effects on my voice to begin with whatsoever , nor the backing track, and have to minimise the garageband window to the dock as when it is open and scrolling, i get the "Part of the project was not played. This project has too many tracks, effects, or notes to be played in real-time." error.
    The other day, i noticed my macbook pro would not burn CD-Rs (both music Cds and MP3s) and later realised that i could burn anything up to 6 or so tracks (about 20-25 minutes worth of audio). After trawling the forums, trying slower burn speeds, different brands of CD-R and lens cleaning cds (which froze in my macbook) I still have a faulty disc drive. I have now discovered that the end tracks of some audio cds i have will not play so is obviously something wrong with the drive.
    I'm very frustrated and can't help but wonder if maybe i should have just got a £500 windows laptop instead!
    Any help and feedback would be much appreciated. Are Apple Support good at dealing with stuff like this? Am i best calling and discussing over the phone or taking it in to a Genius bar? I have also ran all the latest software updates.

    That's the fault of the video format you are viewing.  It probably caches itself to the hard disk, and the sudden motion sensor gets triggered by the hard drive, if you give it any innertia.  You could create a RAM Disk with any of a number of solutions you can Google.
    And DVD drives don't like being bounced around.   See what I have to say about CD failure below too.   Anything can cause a disc to get unbalanced, and not play back right.   I would not attempt to play DVDs while the machine is in motion, as you can damage the DVD drive of any machine that is.

  • Disappointed with my windows phone!!(lumia 620)

    I bought a new lumia 620 as a back up to my android(htc one x+)..but I am very disappointed with some of these glitches..
    1. No notification centre..it's really a pain!
    2. Can't pay via SIM card to purchase an app..
    3. Can't play high mp4, mkv, flv videos though I think the snapdragon s4 is capable to do it..is Nokia waiting for a developer to put up such an app at the store?!!
    4. Limited file download size...!!! It's worst...I got an unlimited data plan and don't really have to care..why Microsoft has to protect me!! Instead they should turn it to a feature by allowing the user to decide the restriction..for example: if u have a 1 GB data plan you should be able to set a restriction which would protect you when your overall usage exceeds 1 GB! I feel as if windows is trying to follow APPLE blindly..why make it so complicated instead of user friendly!!
    5. My handset does crash and restarts at least once a day..
    6. Battery drains out too quickly..something which is not expected from Nokia
    7. Very few apps..most of them are **bleep**..if not they are too costly..I even feel Microsoft should reduce the price of app hosting
    8. Whenever I share via Bluetooth..my phone hangs for sure and there is no option other than removing my battery and restarting..
    9. If any unsupported file format is downloaded I don't know where is it stored..and eats up my memory...
    I am even using APPLE IPOD with which I share a better experience than my lumia...
    I am sure to ditch this useless paper weight within a month if no improvements appear..
    Sorry if my language is rough but it's my frustration with lumia..and I am fed up..expecting a good update...
    And these are what I know is all consumers want..Nokia and Microsoft should think about consumers satisfaction above all!!!

    Paying through your mobile account for apps is the responsibilty of your network provider to support this feature for Windows Phone, so you need to take your complaint to them.

  • Disappointed with 10g JDeveloper preview version

    I consistently use and recommend Oracle products to my co-workers. But I am disappointed with the latest JDeveloper, thanks to many bugs. I could not find basic items like remove from project menu item. The files I open are not getting added to the project. And the continuing lack of decent support for PL/SQL. If Oracle can't support PL/SQL, in its IDE that is hard to believe. This forces me to use 2 IDEs. One for Java and another one for PL/SQL. Hope it will get better in the production release.

    All files from a folder are automatically added to a project, it is automatically recompiled with a build command. The file can be "invisible". To see a new file in the navigator, use the refresh button.
    There should be several changes to this behaviour:
    1) refresh is quite slow on a big project. It should be possible to select a package and refresh only the files inside the folder
    2) When a file is opened, it should be automatically added into the navigator of the current project.
    3) To remove a file from a project, it seems there are only 2 solutions:
    3a) Use a different hierarchy tree for each project (ie: locate each project source in a different folder) and carefully remove the files you don't need. Huge pain with versioning and check out module. You have to check out each file individually.
    3b) refactoring. Move the file in a new folder and exclude that "subfolder" in the project content (first page in the project properties).
    In the long term this refactoring could be a good thing. In the short term it is a major pain because most projects use intertwined packages.
    Some examples:
    1) I use only one hierarchy tree for several projects. I have to include much more libraries in my projects to be able to compile. For example, I have a swing application. In a package used by this swing application, one class does an import of some j2ee stuff.
    I never use this class in the swing application. I have to include all the j2ee libs to compile my project.
    2) I have a factory constructor interface dealing with java.sql.DataSource.
    I have several implementations depending on the target jdbc driver (classes12.jar ojdbc14.jar,mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin.jar,...). Each implementation is put in the same folder:
    /mycompany/mypackage/MyDataSourceOracle14.java
    /mycompany/mypackage/MyDataSourceOracle12.java
    /mycompany/mypackage/MyDataSourceMySql.java
    The implementation with classes12.jar is incompatible with the one with ojdbc14.jar.
    With JDev 10g preview, there is just no way to rebuild my project. I had to refactor and use subfolders:
    /mycompany/mypackage/Oracle14/MyDataSourceOracle14.java
    /mycompany/mypackage/Oracle12/MyDataSourceOracle12.java
    /mycompany/mypackage/MySql/MyDataSourceMySql.java

  • Very pleased and disappointed with WRT1900AC

    I am very pleased, and very disappointed with this device.
    I live in a three story townhouse, built using metal grids and plaster.  The WAP is performing flawlessly on both bands, except for a couple of lockups when trying to reconfigure.
    The problem is that the salesman gave me a bunch of dodo;  He said:
    1.  the router supported Network Syslog;  it doesn't support syslog.
    2. the router supported ssh access;  it does not
    3. the router supported VPN;  not
    4. the router would support wifi access and configuration via mobile app;  not
    I pre-ordered the device before it was available because it sounded so good;  I guess I should have known better;  if it sounds too good to be true, it isn't.

    I would have talked to Linksys support first or come to the forums. Salesman will tell you almost anything to make a sale. I tend to not trust salesmen. Always ask Mfr support or ask other users in the forums.

  • I'm so disappointed with Apple!Apple owe me $100!

    I've purchased an Apple computer two years ago, I liked Apple so much because I saw they care their customers more than Microsoft, Apple even set Genius Bar and phone support for any technical problem, which I though if I have any problems, I can find customer services easily. So, when thepeople who worked in Apple asked me if I wanted to purchase a printer in promotion with my iBookG4, which was free after I mail my rebate, I purchased it as they told.
    However, the problem came! I've waited for my rebate for half year, which was supposed to be three months. Therefore, I called apple for the promotion inquiry, they told me to mail my information again, and so I did. And I waited for another three months, they told me they mailed it to me already, but I never received it. Therefore, I do as they told- wait for another month and they'll mail my rebate to me again. Then, another month came, but I did not received my rebate! And during this two years, I kept calling for my rebate, and they said they will mail it to me, but I never ever received it! I felt like I got deceived! And last time I called, they told me the promotion is closed, but they'll still mail it to me. But again! they didn't! I tried to find anyone who can help me, I went to the retail store, I mail to a costomer service line, but they never ever helped me! My rebate was just a $100 dollar, but seems like Apple is not responsible and do not care about their customers, therefore, I told this to all my friends, and recommend them not to buy Apple.
    Apple owe me $100!
    My friend told me that Apple is not being responsible, they are lying to me that they mailed my rebate to me. It is because they should first file a lost track on the check that should be mail to me, and then mail my rebate back to me after they file it!
    I am so disappointed with Apple, and I'll recommend me and my friends, and try to declare to all the forums we should never purchase anything from Apple because they are not responsible for their costumers!
    I'll never stop declaring to the people that Apple is being not responsible until Apple is being responsible and would give me my rebate back!

    This is, of course, the wrong place for your gripe. There is nothing we can do about it. There is a legal presumption that a letter mailed is received, but it is rebuttable. Letters can get lost or extremely delayed, I had a postcard take six months from Denver to New York City. Go to Apple and insist that that you never got your check. What really counts is was it cashed. Insist that they check that.

    But the Imac is so heavy for me(155cm,44kgㄩㄡ) to carry it to your store where its located at.And I ask one of your sales to help me to take it.And he promissed  that he would transport it to me when I arrived immediately.  HOWEVER,the Store Manager told me that they are too busy to take it to me when I arrived and ask me  to wait, and so I did. I waited for 10 minutes,and NO Phones  or No body told me How Long I should wait for my imac. I called again,and the SAME ONE told me that they still are on busy.Then another 10 minutes came,but I did not receved my mac.

    We didn't promise you anything, or did we sell you anything nor take your money. You are not communicating with Apple when you post here. Everyone here is just a fellow user. And these forums are for assistance with technical problems, not complaining about Apple's services.
    I'm not going to comment on your complaint itself since we really don't know what the real situation was, none of us being there. In any case, there's absolutely nothing anyone here can do about it. If you feel that you were treated badly, then by all means buy from some other vendor.

  • Unable to access CC assets and VERY frustrated with support

    I just spent a fruitless hour trying to discover why I am unable to access my assets on the Creative Cloud. CC acts as if my membership isn't current, in that I see a folder of mine, but when I click on it, it disappears. After an hour with support I was unceremoniously disconnected and don't have the fortitude right now to start over again. Is there any chance of speaking with a U.S. based support person who speaks intelligible English?

    With respect to the problem I wrote about: The following morning
    everything was working normally again. During the several days that I
    was having the problem, I did try accessing CC via two different
    computers and on 2 different browsers, all with the same result. My
    impression was that CC was treating me as though I was someone whose
    subscription had lapsed. I could see that the folder I had created for
    image files was there on my screen, but when I clicked to open it the
    folder would disappear. So I'm guessing that CC had incorrectly changed
    my status as a subscriber and then somehow this got corrected. In
    reviewing the forum issues, I haven't seen anyone complain of exactly
    the same problem.
    I would also like to say a word about Adobe support. As a loyal
    purchaser and user of multiple Adobe products for the past 15 years, and
    also as an Adobe shareholder, I find the current trend in support to be
    very disappointing. I have had minimal need for support over the years
    but had always had good service until recently. After subscribing to CC
    I had occasion to seek help from Business Catalyst support which was
    just as frustrating and unhelpful as my attempt to obtain CC support on
    8/3. The forum seems to be able to solve some problems but it can't
    always happen in a timely manner. I fear that the current status of
    Adobe support, if my two recent experiences  are typical, will serve to
    drive customers away from Adobe.

    Very disappointed with iWeb, not all browsers correctly show website/s unless you have superior code skills and knowledge, then what's the point of iWeb, I thought it was suppose to be easy to use and upload your new site??? Various browsers form Firefox and Internet Explorer have viewing issues.
    When will Apple correct this problem?
