Everytime I try to update my iPhone 4s I am told that the data downloaded was corrupted and I should try again later. What to do?
I keep being told that the data has been corrupted and that I need to try again. It is rather annoying!
How do you do that? please tell me as i am having the exact same problem.

I need to update my iphone software to the latest version but each time I attempt it the download goes through but i get a pop up message sayin networ timed out. Ive tried it ten times now.
FIRST, make sure you are using a USB port on your computer and not on a hub.
Disable your antivirus and firewall and try an 11th time. If you still have a problem and you have a Windows computer open a Command window that has Administrator privileges and type:
netsh winsock reset
Reboot and try a 12th time. -
this happens every time i close my browser and try to reopen it, whether I'm opening it 1 minute later or 10 hours later. Every time i have to open my start task manager and end process.

Why is it that after I updated thru the app center my OS X 10.9 to 10.9.2 (Combined), after it downloaded and restarts, this error occurs, "the version downloaded is corrupted and needs to download again."? My computer says iTunes can't be installed, it may be corrupted, and I should try again.
Tonight I tried to log into Itunes from the Apple.com website. It suggested that I download the latest version of Itunes. I tried to do this and my computer said the download was complete and I should restart the computer and log back on. I did that and then tried to log onto the Itunes again and a prompt came up and siad the Itunes file wasn't properly installed and it might be corrupted and I should retry it again. What should I do next? All I want to do is check out some new music and some of the IPOD free apps. I am new at this stuff, thanks for any help from the community!!

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

I am updating my phone to the newest IOS and it has been doing it for hours. I have now plugged it into the computer and it says that it is in recover mode and I should restore it? What does that mean? Do I lose everything on my phone? Is there anything else I can do?
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

The screen is frozen on the "connect to iTines" symbol. When I connect to Itunes it tells me to restore. Then it tells me that the download was corrupted.
