Issue while generating MD5 if there are any special characters in the CLOB

I need your help...
We are using dbms_crypto.hash to generate the MD5 hash value for a CLOB that will be sent to other feeder systems. The feeder systems validate the file by generating the MD5 hash value on their end and compare with the MD5 generated in Oracle and accept the file only if the MD5 hash value matches.
The MD5 file matches between both the systems except in the case where there are special characters in the CLOB. Somehow, MD5 is prefixing Â character before any special character and calculating the MD5 value. In our case, our special characters being ®, §, ™, ©....
This is a high priority issue for us and it is holding our UAT.
We are using Oracle 11.2.0.2.0.

The fix in almost all of these cases is to understand that the Crypto package always converts everything to AL32UTF8 before hashing.

Can someone explain what this message is, and what the reason could be for

Are implicit DB commits initiated when there are Sync or Async RFC call

BC414,Page 3-8 says, whenever there are synchronous and asynchronous rfc calls,implicit DB commits are always initiated.
But I test it in ABAP program as following steps.
1: insert data into dbtable.
2: Call Function "RFCFunction".(within this function, insert data into dbtable).
3: Rollback Work.
All the data is not inserted into db table at all.
Are there anything wrong with my understanding?

Strange behavior. Yes, every remote call (can) cause an implicit commit work (or is anyway linked to commit work, 'in background'...).
Also implicit commit works should end a database LUW -> no rollback any longer (see http://saphelp.euroset.lan///EN/41/7af4bfa79e11d1950f0000e82de14a/frameset.htm).
Currently my first guess would be: being on same application server is an exception.
There are quite a number of places, where a implicit commit work occurs (e.g. wait!, PAI). Instead of wondering, why in one exception rollback is still working, remind these cases and build up save booking procedures.

Or Quit the app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Then launch Safari and try again.

Commited quantity but there are no open sales orders.

Item show as x quantity committed in inventory data tab in Item Master data. There is no open sales orders for specific item though. Client is on SAP 2007 A SP 00 PL42. Anyone had this before..? Solution?

Sometimes the stock quantities can go out of sync. Not entirely sure why, upgrading to the latest patch may help preventing it in the future.
In order to fix this you can run the 'Restore Item Balances' for that item.
Go to the Help Menu / Support Desk / Restore / Restore Item Balances.
Enter the Item Number in the From and To box to ensure you only run it for the effected item. Run the routine to recalculate the quantities.

When I try to edit 'Allowed Roles' tab in the Request template, I am facing an exception saying *'oracle.iam.platform.utils.MaxLimitException'*. What is the maximum number of roles that can be added to a request template? Also, which OIM table contains data related to the roles attached to request template?

Why does "Check for Updates..." show that there are no updates available while I'm using Firefox 3.6.18 and latest version is 5.0.1?

First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that I hardly have any technical knowledge. So pardon me if this comes across as a silly question to the professionals. Here are the details pertaining to this problem as per the best of my limited knowledge:
I'm currently using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.18; previously it was 3.6.13. It was updated to 3.6.13 from 3.6.9 after I clicked on Check for Updates... and it told me that it'd be done when I reboot my system. When I restarted my PC, I was surprised to find that it was downloading the version 3.6.18. I didn't know how much it'd progressed in the process, so I let it finish it. After that, I disabled the option that enables it to download and update on its own, and turned it off. Next time when I started it, it was 3.6.18, but wasn't updating on its own anymore.
Now I wanna update it directly to the latest version 5.0.1. But when I leave it to "'''Automatically download and install the update'''" option under Tools>Options>Advanced>Update, it downloads and updates the versions as per their release order. So if I leave it to it, then when I start it next time, it'll start downloading the version next to 3.6.18 and update to it instead of updating directly to 5.0.1. It'll keep doing so until it reaches there. For reasons of my own, I don't like that. So I '''unchecked '''the "Automatically download and install the update" option and chose the "'''Ask me what I want to do'''" option (so that it doesn't keep repeating the "downloading and updating" process on its own every time I start my PC). Then I went to Firefox site and thought of downloading and updating to the latest version on my own. But then I was informed that if I do so, '''I'll get the latest version, but I'll lose all my saved bookmarks unless I follow some hectic procedure to save them and load them again after installing the latest version of Firefox'''. I don't want to let that happen either. So, can anyone suggest me a way out of this situation without losing my bookmarks?

As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

If you are using Apple's Mail app 6.5 is the latest version irrespective of what a previous poster says. It does sound though that you are using a gmail account online via a web browser. Please confirm and fill in missing information.

Is there a way to view current playlist during airplay to apple TV and perhaps search and add to queue? So there are no interruptions between videos?

We are having a karaoke night and have all the songs as videos in iTunes, would be great to select the item and edit the current playlist.

No, Apple very rarely make advance announcements of bug fixes.
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar.
Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library for the old search behavior.
Alternatively you roll back to iTunes 10.7. If so, first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.
You might also want to use iTunes Feedback.

When trying to enter via "Map Network Drive" and click "Connect using different credentials", once entering the credentials, error

As I am not particularly tech savvy, am not the one who set up this network drive, I dont want to interfere with it too much. I simply want to be able to get a basic understanding of the issue. We had set up a previous share, since deleted, that allowed
us to have a shared folder to work on documents between the US and Ireland. This new share has been working fine up until yesterday, when we got the above error messages when trying to access the share. Later in the day, it just worked again. Today, I go to

Did your computer join the domain? How did you access that shared resource?
Please turn off your firewall temporarily and type the correct UNC address to access for test:
\\servername\sharename \file_path
If it doesn't work, use the IP address of the remote server when you try to connect to the network share.
