Extracting the DML queries by LCR in Oracle and send them over to IBM MQ
Hi,
My question is mostly about the concept of LCR (logical change recortds in Oracle Streams)
I want to extract any DML script which has been applied to one specific table, but i don't want to apply this DML anywhere , I just want to send it over by AQ in oracle and then
the MQ queues in IBM will recieve it.
I don't know what the Mainframe guys are going to do with it but my task is to just send them the script?
Do you think it's possible using the LCRs?

I had implemented such a setup few months back and it works fine except for some performance issues.
you'll need to implement oracle streams and oracle messaging gateway for this propagation.
below mentioned are the generalized steps:
>>capture changes from redo log for the table by creating a capture process.
>>store these messages in the staging area of advanced queues, which in turn are queues themselves.
>>use apply process to enqueue these messages onto messaging gateway queue.
>>the messages can be transported to Websphere MQ by creating propagation jobs, foreign queue links, messaging gateway agents etc.

TS3276 how to delete emails stuck in the sent folder which continues to try and send them?
I tried sending a big file on Mail with attachment. It got stuck and now the sent file on my macbook is constantly trying to act on the message and my entire Mail folder is now stuck, doesn't react on anything. I want to delete the message to free my Mail. Any trick to delete a message (not showing the message in outbox)
Does it show up in the Outbox? If so, delete it from there.

I'm having a problem sending a word doc via email. I have Mac for Office 08, and I'm using Mavericks OS. When I save the document as a .doc or .docx, and send it to someone, (doesn't matter if its safari, chrome or firefox or on my yahoo or gmail accounts) they receive it as a blank document. Yet, when I open it on my Mac, it has a "word" icon and I can read it. How do I fix?

I would like to copy my iPhoto (9.4.1) library from my Mac Pro (10.7.5) to a Macbook Pro (10.7.5). Can I drag the iPhoto Library from the Pictures folder to Air Drop and send them to the MacBook? If I then move that to the Pictures folder on the MacBook will that then be a usable iPhoto library on the Macbook?
It would be better if you could connect the two Macs via a hard wired LAN to copy the library from the Mac Pro to the MacBook. Wireless connections can have momentary dropouts which could affect the reliable copying of files.
If you do go with Air Drop be sure to open and inspect the copied library closely to confirm it was a successulf copy.

in Gmail we have two mailboxes mine and my wife's. When I send from my mailbox and when i indicate my mailbox in the 'from' box, it always picks up and sends my wife's email address. Help
I have this exact problem. I have 3 email addresses on my mac and I can select one, and the email still be sent through another account and I won't know it until I get a reply for that email in one of the other accounts.

I imported my favorites from Internet Explorer, but how do I display "favorites" in the tool bar so I can access and organize them?
It did merge them after a fashion, glad I took a backup first even if I did only perhaps create 3 or 4 bookmarks today. So if I have bookmark separators, it's going to figure out which group to put them in (no way). Anyway I thought they would just go down to the bottom of the bookmarks menu like the other method, like when I export and import bookmarks in Firefox where they do go to the end of the Bookmarks Menu folder and would simply delete one folder.
Anyway this would not be typical because I don't want any bookmarks from IE. -

Have been taking photos with my Ipad and sending them to email address and FB. For some reason it will now send photos to FB but not my email address. What could be the problem?
Does your email provider have a limit on the total file size allowed on their server? It could be that emails with photos send in the past are still on your email server. They might even be in the servers trash folder. If the total MB of those emails exceeds the amount allowed then no additional emails can be received. Try using a web mail page to check and edit what's on the email server.

Servlet retrieves pdf content stored in oracle and sends this content
I have pdf content stored in an oracle database. The database column type is LONG RAW. I am retrieving the contents using jdbc's getBinaryStream. The content type is set to pplication/pdf. When the code is executed, the acrobat is launched but the content is not displayed. After analyzing the contents retrieved from the database, I discovered that characters were missing. I replicated the same code in a different language and it was working.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how was it resolved.
Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.
z.What is the character set of the Oracle db that you are using. I would suggest that you try to set the char set to Unicode and try.

In Iphoto, I would like to produce a bunch of greeting cards with different pics for different people and I would like all these cards to be sent to my home address in one shipment.
The way I understand it, I can only prodce one card and order multiple copies of the same card.
I am looking for a way not to spend $0.99 + $3.99 (shipping)....
Can this be done?
Or is there an app that allows that?
Or how can I save each card and have them printed somewhere else?
Thanks!Not really because the format is an odd size and when you save it as a pdf file there's a white border around the card.
There are 2 tutorials on how to print them yourself if you have a 3rd party image editor that supports layers or Pages from iWork: iP06 - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card and iP07 - Printing a iPhoto Greeting Card to Standard Stock Sizes. Apple has made it difficult to print them borderless unless the card color is the same as the card stock.

In Photoshop I have a problem to overcome and have delved into the world of scripting..
If there is a quick way to produce the following could someone help me with some pointers?
Here is my situation..
I need to produce a photograph proof card, these are for a double image option so cause me a headache compared to just creating an action..
This proof card really is just a set of two different photographs placed onto a background image.
I would produce two different images of the same person and name them exactly the same except they are suffixed with an A or B to keep them together, these would be in a folder with approx 500 other images for example (250 x two of each person)
My preference for the process would be done in the following sequence:
1/ Open the background file jpg (which is sized at 2400 x 1800 pixels @ 300dpi)
2/ Load the first image from the batch file and place this.
3/ Get the filename of the first image and create it as a text layer and write it below the image at 10 point text size.
4/ Create another copy of this layer and change the font to 3of9barcode font, however the font needs an asterisk before the text then again after it. e.g. *filenameA*
Only the first image has the need for a barcode as they are for the same person. This is at 18 point.
5/ Load the next sequential image from the batch file and place this.
6/ Get the filename for the second image and as Item 3/ create a text layer below at 10 point text size.
7/ Place a png overlay with my copyright information over the images (I need to do this twice, once for each image)
8/ Flatten the images and save the file in a new folder with the same filename as the first image.
I can do this in Lightroom with the exception of putting the barcoded text, and the filenaming, this is because the background image is used as the identity plate and the filename is not based on the data from either photograph..
Can anyone shed some light on where to go from here?

BryanPhotoshop Scripting-wise this seems fairly "easy".
But I would recommend creating a template file (that already combines background image, png overlay and the Type Layers).
Maybe data driven graphics would also be an option …
