Condition type for charges in not working
Dear All.
We have created a facility using MM and for this facility, we need to pay the yearly facility agency fee based on the total credit line. To achieve this, we have a condition type (1208) under 'charges' tab in the facility transaction. And from the 'cash flow' tab, we can see that we need to pay the facility for 5 years. After 2 years of paying the facility agency fee, we were told by our user that we do not need to pay the remaining 3 years the facility agency fee. They want to remove this facility agency fee from appearing in their cash flow & treasury transaction.
How do I achieve this?
FYI
I tried to create another condition (same with the earlier condition - (1208)) which effective from 3rd year with lower amount but instead of overriding the the first condition, it is adding another facility agency fee in the 'cash flow' tab.
I tried to create another condition (same with the earlier condition - (1208)) which effective from 3rd year with zero condition but the earlier condition still remain.
I also tried to change/delete the earlier condtion but not allowed to change/delete - greyed out.
Looks like the effective date in the condition is not working. Can anyone share any notes (I've gone thru some in OSS - but could find related note for the time being) or how to change the condition?
Appreciate your advise. Thanks.
Regards
FauziHi Fauzi
I can think of two possible reasons why you are not able to edit the existing charge:
1. In Field selection "SETTLEMENT-CHANGE", function "003 Activity change", the "Tabstrip: Charges" (field group 70) is set
to "Display" (or others).
I'll put the path to field selection in SPRO for your quick reference:
Financial Supply Chain Management
->Treasury and Risk Management
->Transaction Manager
->General Settings
->Transaction Management
->Define Field Selection
2. The charge in the facility might be blocked for changes because there are other flows posted or because the money market deals which the facility is attached to have posted flows in the same period.
Please check those two points. I hope this helps you solve the issue.

Erroneous, derogatory credit report
I have been a longstanding, loyal, and very consistent Verizon Wireless customer for over 10 years. In all the years I have been a Verizon Wireless customer, I have ALWAYS paid my bill on time, every month. In early 2011, I went through a divorce & released my ex-husband's line. A couple of months later, I added a line for my son but I did not sign a contract for the new phone number. I kept the new line (my son's) for over one year, but because for most of that year, the phone was not even used, I cancelled it around 2/2012 because I combined my account with my current husband's account, who has also been with Verizon Wireless for more than 10 years. The reason I cancelled my son's line was because my husband's account has 4 lines, and the maximum number of lines on a Family Share Plan was 5 at the time we combined accounts. Additionally, since my son hadn't used his phone in about 4+ months prior to the combining of accounts, it only made the best financial sense to cancel this line since it wasn't being used anyway. Verizon even credited me one month's worth of charges (because that was as far back as the representative was allowed to credit) because she could see he never used his phone. I thought I had a productive, good-standing relationship until October, 2012 when I received a bill for $68 from CONVERGENT COLLECTION AGENCY!!! Needless to say, I was appalled! From the time I got the new line until the time I cancelled the line, my monthly payment was always current and paid in full. Immediately, I picked up the phone & called Verizon, who said it was out of their hands, and that I should contact the credit agency to pay the bill. I then immediately contacted Convergent Collection Agency and paid the accused debt amounting to $80.90 (including the collection agency fee). Knowing these charges were erroneous, I waited for the debt to be "cleared up" on Verizon's side, I waited nearly 30 days, then contacted Verizon again in order to clear my name/accounts. After explaining this long & drawn out scenario, a very kind Verizon Wireless representative stated they would submit this account to be cleared of any wrongdoing on my part, & would even process a refund for me for the $60-some odd dollar outstanding balance which was turned in to the collection agency. I explained that I paid $80.90, and asked to have the entire amount credited back or refunded to me. I have yet to receive a refund, which is of zero importance compared to the derogatory reports against my otherwise perfect, 15 year credit history.
The point I am trying to make is that I NEED VERIZON WIRELESS TO REMOVE THE DEROGATORY REPORT FROM MY OTHERWISE PRISTINE CREDIT HISTORY. I have been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for over 10 years and have no plans to change my service provider in the near future, unless I continue to be unsuccessful at getting this one single negative report deleted off of my credit. I have been told by a Verizon representative that is impossible to remove derogatory reports from a credit report, which is UNTRUE! I know if a company has the ability to report good standing history as well as negative history, they also have the ability to REMOVE negative information. This negative report does NOT represent my personal values of paying my monthly bills as well as paying them ON TIME, as well as being a responsible adult, in general. I do not feel as if I should suffer the repercussions of this ONE negative & most certainly erroneous report if I was not the source of the problem. I feel the blame is on Verizon because someone there did not check to ensure the bill was sent to the correct address....I received a bill every month for my main account, so why wasn't it caught that my son's bill was sent to my old address (of my ex-husband, who deliberately did not give me my mail). Another reason I am upset about this is because Verizon NEVER made an attempt to call me about the past due balance. The line was tied to my phone number, which I have had since day 1 with Verizon (and have never changed this number). I feel as if Verizon did not do their part to notify me of this bill, and found it easiest to turn me in to the credit bureau, without caring how someone's lack of attention and abundance of laziness would adversely affect my credit.
I have tried to contact a supervisor at Verizon regarding this issue, but was told there was no one available. This is unacceptable to me, as I was lied to again. I don't feel as if I should continue paying money to a company who does not care about its customers or how they are treated by it's employees. Money is NOT the issue; a $60-something balance would have been easily and immediately taken care of, as I am easily making current monthly payments of over $340. If Verizon does not have a solution for me IMMEDIATELY, then I will be happy to take my money every month to another wireless company who will treat it's customers like they are a real person.
Please feel free to have no less than a manager, supervisor, or better yet, a regional supervisor to contact me at ANY TIME.This is a peer to peer forum. no managers etc. here just customers and occasionally a verizon employee comes by to assist.
Verizon like banks and credit card companies may or may not post your payment history to the three credit bureaus
If they post a delinquent account to the bureaus you can under the Fair Debt Collections Act write a letter and dispute the charge or amount they claim you owe.
Please note because the invoice was overlooked and not paid does not mean you were responsible for the payment of that invoice.
You can also call the credit bureaus to dispute the validity of the collection company and verizon but it was posted as a correct entry on your credit report. Factual reports stay on for 7 years. if you write the letter of dispute or circumstances it to will be there for potential credit grantors to view.
That is all that can be done. However there are federal and state laws that state credit bureaus can be sued in court if what they post is not accurate but truthful entries are going to stay. -
Upgrade fee? Really??
So Verizon provides a discount to certain companies or government agencies. THEN they decide to charge a $30 upgrade fee to counteract the discount they provide. For example: The phone I wanted was $199 with a 2 year contract. I received a $30 discount through my work. I look at the invoice and there's a $30 upgrade fee added on. So basically the discount is null and void. Needless to say I'll shop elsewhere even though I've been a Verizon customer for at least 10 years.
kymjj wrote:
I am with you I have a discount on my line through my employer and it clearly states that we do not have to pay ANY fees but they are charging me anyway. I am done with Verizon they do not care about long term customers the call center people are rude and by the way no in the store ever said a word about an upgrade fee and it was no where on the reciept and I did not have to sign any paperwork while there.
Hate to break it to you but ALL the major carriers have upgrade fees. In fact at&t and Sprint are HIGHER. I guess you intend to play musical carriers every to years to avoid a $30 fee.
Let's see a $600 phone can be had for $200 plus a $30 upgrade fee which is basically a 62% discount yet people feel they are being ripped off? Amazing. -

Feeling ripped off by the on-site technician labor fee
First, let me start by saying I am not a person who complain just because I have been charged with a service fee.
I won't complain if the fee is not a huge amount. Sometimes I am charged with hidden fees here and there, but if the amount is a few bucks, I will just pay and avoid the hassel of trying to understand or possibly get a refund.
I won't complain if the fee is caused by my own fault. For example, I overdraft my checking account and I need to pay 35 bucks, that is fine. I am responsible for what I did, no grudge.
I won't complain, if the fee is explained to me in advance. So I get to decide if I am willing to pay or how much I am willing to pay.
That is why I am so angry when I found I was charge for an outrageous $91 dollar fee for a Verizon technician to come to my house to replace a faulty DSL router. Let me start by saying what really bothers me in this incident. I was charged a large amount of fee by Verizon because of one of their problem (the faulty DSL router). I couldn't use the internet service which I purchased for two days because of the faulty router, and I now need to pay for that. There are no other solutions (I spend endless time trying to work out a solution with Verizon support staff online) but to send a technician so the fee is inevitable. And come on, 91 dollars for replacing a Router? If they told me in advance about the 91 dollar technician service fee, I will never agree to buy it and might just simply disconnect the service and switch to its competitor. As far as I know, they can charge me $191 dollars, or 291 dollars and told me afterwards, and I have to pay for that as well?
I sincerely hope Verizon will help me make sense of this charge, help me understand why I need to pay for their problem that affect my purchased service, and why the half-hour service fee is $91, more importantly, why this fee is hidden from its customers. Otherwise, I will file a formal complaint to goverment agencies such as Federal Trade Commission, and Better Business Bureau.Normally a modem/router replacement is not done by a technician. They just ship you a new one and you replace it yourself. Was there some special circumstance that made this not the case?

Why am I getting charged by ebay for shipping then again by Pitney Bowes plus import fee's.
I recently bought an item on Ebay. The purchase was 28.00 US and 7.05 shipping as it states on my Paypal. Total 35.05 US. Then there is another charge from Pitney Bowes for 17.80 us, broken down as follows. 10.05 for shipping and 6.59 for import fees, so what and why 2 shipping fee's. Please advise.
Any import over $20 CDN (about $16USD at the moment) will have applicable Canadian duty and Canadian/provincial sales taxes.The shipper is also allowed to charge a service fee.The GSP charges about $5, Canada Post about $10 (but...) and couriers like UPS and FedEx $25 or more for this. NAFTA/ Free Trade does not apply to item bought from the USA,only to items manufactured there. (And in Mexico, Peru and Chile).There is no duty on used goods.There will be sales taxes on new or used goods regardless of their place of manufacture. (but...)Canada Border Services Agency and Canada Post in a surge of common sense do not usually charge the applicable duty or sales tax or service fees on low value items, especially if those items are small and lightweight. I guess they figure it makes little sense to process such items when the amount that might be collected is less than the cost of collection. If you think that $20CDN is too low, ask your Conservative candidate about it at a town hall meeting during the upcoming election. It's fun to watch them obfuscate.

Adobe Bridge in advertising agency
Hello,
i work in advertising agency Made by Vaculik (formerly Vaculik Advertising), we are located in Europe/Slovakia/Bratislava and we was using Adobe Bridge since CS2 release. CS3 was longest used and we was VERY satisfied with its technology. Creative, graphics and DTP department worked closely on each project, every save was synchronized with our server with name of user etc. It was much better environment than find latest version on someone's computer. But since CS6 it is not longer supported internal servers, only cloud engine. We are ad agency that primarily sells ideas and we simply cannot store our data on external servers, so i and my collegaues are VERY surprised that this technology was changed to different target group. We was probably first bigger agency who used this technology in Czech and Slovak republic and nowadays we are searching for similar solutions for our needs, but for example we are preparing really some YEARS to implement Alfresco with JIRA, but it got many problems. So what Adobe, really we are only agency in the world who missed Bridge to use with our internal servers? Cheers.

I would like to know why my bill was manipulated to cause an overage fee.
Halfway through my previous billing cycle, I reduced my data plan from 3GB shared between me and my girlfriend to 2GB shared, so they pro-rated the next bill, showing it to be around $30 cheaper than it would otherwise be. Fast forward to today, I go to check my bill and see that I've incurred a $15 usage fee. However, when I go look at the Usage breakdown, I see the following:
It clearly shows that the billing cycle started on May 20th, and that I made the change to go down to 2GB on the 30th. They decided to set my usage allowance for that period to 1.06400GB even though I'd already used 1.37900GB, leaving a .31800GB overage. Now, of course it shows that from May 31st through June 19th, I was allowed 1.29000GB and used 1.21100GB, clearly showing that even if it were split properly, I'd still be over.....except for the fact that I have text alerts set to notify me when I'm at 50%, 75%, and 90% usage so I can decide when to stop and avoid an overage fee.
They seemingly, intentionally, manipulated the numbers in such a way as to get $15 more out of me that they otherwise wouldn't get because they knew I'd stop using data before an overage occurred.
I am fully aware that $15 isn't a big deal. However, the fact that they apparently manipulated the numbers in such a way as to force an overage fee upon me is just plain wrong and it makes me very angry. The best part about this is that when you add up the 1.06400GB allowance of the first portion and the 1.29000GB of the second portion, that only totals 2.354GB, not the 3GB that the plan originally was. I had chosen to have the changes apply at the beginning of the next billing cycle, so there is no reason for me to have been shorted the 0.646GB of data, much less to have incurred an overage fee.
Is this sort of thing common? Is it a glitch in the system, or was someone manually making these changes with malicious intent? More importantly, can or will they do anything to fix this?Verizon Wireless Customer SupportSee, the problem is you're both ignoring two facts.
#1 - of the two options when changing the plan, I chose to have the changes not apply until the beginning of the next billing cycle. There never should have been the possibility of an overage as there should have been no prorating when I chose to have no changes until next billing cycle. The plan I was on was a 3GB plan, I had only used a total of 2.59GB. Again, that's aside from the fact that there shouldn't have been a prorating to begin with as I chose to have the new plan not apply until the next billing cycle.
#2 - The total allowance between the two pieces of prorated data allowances is only 2.354GB, not the 3GB of the plan I was currently on. Yet again, I don't know how many more times I have to say this for it to be understood, I chose to have the changes not apply until the next billing cycle. This means that the plan should have never been split to begin with, let alone shorted 0.646GB of usage allowance.
I'm sorry if I'm being short with you, but this is a clear-cut case of an error in the process and I do not appreciate being told I am mistaken when you haven't even bothered to pay attention to all the details and check the math for yourself. -
I received an email this am telling me I was charged for a purchase I made of .99 this am. I did not purchase anything. I contacted PayPay and was informed it was for a recurring monthly .99 fee..I don't know what that is and don't want it. What is it? PayPal cancelled any further payments for this. I was informed I needed to request refund from ITunes. I did that. Why was I charged a .99 recurring fee? I purchased, or thought I did, an app called "Appzilla2" on Jan 10 for .99 cents. Does this mean I must pay .99/monthly to use it? If so, please cancel the appzilla.
We are itunes users just like you. We cannot cancel anything.
Look at your purchase history and see what the charge is for. Contact itunes support if need be. -
Inconsistent delivery balance after return with restocking fee
My client does not like the work around she must use to delete negative delivery balances after returns are processed with a restocking fee. Here is her description of the problem:
1. We receive this unit back from customer. When a return is created the unit is received back into stock and cost account is credited.
2. We revised the unit and decided to accept the return but charge a 10% restocking fee which means we will give back to the customer only 90% of what he paid for the unit.
When a credit memo is created, the customer receives the credit and the revenue account is debited. Also the base return document is closed.
3. However the system indicates that there is a negative delivery amount of $509 (On the BP master screen) We donu2019t want to see that balance; there is no document open linked to that balance.
If I do the same process, but add the total credit amount to the unit price directly the system does not show this negative balance even though the total amount of the return document is different than the total amount of the credit memo.
In order for me to clear that balance, I needed to create a return, copy it to a credit memo, and create an invoice to offset the invoice.
Is ther a better way to do this?The proper way to do it would be full credit plus new service invoice to complete this transaction. The restocking fee s a new charge to customer. That process will reflect the true financial transaction.
Thanks,
Gordon -
Hi
I just now was surprised with the unbelievable fact that fee's and interest's from a dunning letter are not recorded. I found note 1059948 to explain. Therefore, they are not included in the next level of a dunning nor will they stay open when the invoice has been paid without fee and interest.
I am currently on 2007A. Will this be the same in 8.8? I really hope not!
Thanks
FranzHi Franz,
Dunning letter will not automatically post any transactions for you. You have to manually post them. I don't think this principle will be changed in any coming version.
Thanks,

Dunning - Interest and Fee per Letter
I have set up interest and fee per letter in the Dunning Terms and when I run the Dunning Wizard I see these amounts for each of the Business Partners Invoices. Where I am having an issue is getting these values to be displayed in the PLD, are these variable fields - if so what is the variable number, if they are database fields - then which table and column are they?
Thanks,
RichardFound the template, it was at level 3 that there is interest calculated. Why wasn't it included for all dunning levels?
