Have divs expand to fill page?

Moving right along here... here's my question...
http://www.nsbcustomjewelry.com/DIVTEST.shtml
I seem to be chasing my tail here as you can see from the
hinky columns. I would like the right nav, left nav and content
divs to all expand to be the same height and of course, also touch
the bottom nav. Can't seem to accomplish this.
Help? Thanks!

Thank you.
2nd questions - same topic... How do I change the path to retrieve my images - please note that I don't understand code that well thanks.  I have tried uploading to dropbox and doing similar code by retrieving the link but it doesn't worl - probably because I haven't a clue lol.  I am wanting to upload images from the downloads folder and within that I have a folder named cleaning images which contain images I want to use. Thanks
So I'm using this code from that forum:
. Download the js file https://raw.github.com/srobbin/jquery-backstretch/master/jquery.backst retch.min.js
2. In Muse: Go to File -> Add Files for Upload and add the script file
3. Open Page Properties -> Metadata -> HTML for <Head>
Paste this code in:
<script>
window.onload = function() {
var loaded = function() {
  $.backstretch([
      "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/outside.jpg"
    , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/garfield-interior.jpg"
    , "http://dl.dropbox.com/u/515046/www/cheers.jpg"
  ], {duration: 3000, fade: 750});
//Load the plugin:
var head= document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0];
var script= document.createElement('script');
script.type= 'text/javascript';
script.onreadystatechange = loaded;
script.onload = loaded;
script.src= 'assets/jquery.backstretch.min.js';
head.appendChild(script);
}; //Window OnLoad
</script>

  • I upgraded Firefox, and now there is a blue band on my screen above the window, and I'm not getting the full use of the screen in viewing web pages. How can I get the window to expand to fill the screen as it did before?

    There is a horizontal band or gap above the Firefox window at the top of the screen, where you can see the Windows desktop behind the Firefox window. On the left side of this band are the window tabs, and the menu bar, and another bar with the names of the open windows. I would like to have the Firefox window expand to fill the entire screen, like it did before the upgrade. Thanks.

    Do you mean running Firefox in full screen mode?
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-to-use-full-screen
    If you are in full screen mode then you can hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.<br />
    You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-to-use-full-screen
    You can also run Firefox in a maximized window to have easier access to the Menu bar and Navigation Toolbar.

  • My iPad mini with OS 7.1.2 suddenly will engage in uncontrolled actions such as opening and closing pages, switching between apps, expanding and minimizing pages etc... uncontrollably and I have to shut the mini down to stop the uncontrolled actions

    My iPad Mini #1 with OS 7.1.2 began uncontrolled actions recently.  While reading a book in 3M Cloud App the pages would expand and then minimize on their own and then the uncontrolled action would open other apps and do the same by uncontrollably expanding and minimizing different pages in that app and then the actions would move on to another App and open it and expand and minimize pages and open different pages etc . . .  Initially I thought the problem was connected to the 3M Cloud Library App so I deleted it on my Mini iPad and also in iTunes on my iMac and downloaded a fresh app to install on my Mini.  However, that did not affect the problem.    The uncontrolled actions start in any app and begin every time I open my Mini to the point it is becoming useless.  Please help as I don't have a clue as to the cause of the problem or how to go about fixing it.

    If this is still happening have you contacted APPLE support with the problem (same question to other posters).
    If it is always after a certain length of time with active use - it may be overheating causing wear and tear on internal components.
    Or - a bug in the software is causing sudden replay of what you just did.
    Had similar issue with work owned IBM think Pad due to age and use in office area that was warm (not my choice) - it behaved as though the track mouse or keyboard was stuck - repeating same single character - open/close folders- would have to do quick shut down by pulling the pad out of dock and pulling the battery out -- solution - was to get new lap top after PC techs cleaned it and it still happened.

    When I am filling a form and have to go back a page the stuff I have inserted disappears. Someone told me to set "PRESERVE FORMS" in my browser. I looked but did not find any likely adjustment. I have been in the habit pg taking a screen snip of my form details, but this is clumsy.
    I received was:
    " Enable Preserve Form Contents for your web browser. It's located in
    different places for different browsers, and it should be enabled by
    default. I'm guess it's not enabled on your system. It will keep all the
    fields intact in a form such as the e-mail page if you have to click on Back. "

    If possible then try to open that page in a new tab via a middle-click or Ctrl and left-click to avoid losing the current form.
    Note that you can hold down the left mouse button on the toolbar Back button to open the tab history menu and that you can middle-click an entry to open that page in a new tab.

  • Expanding text boxes, pagination and expanding to another page

    Attached is a link to a simple form which is actually part of a much larger form. It has several nested add and remove instances. I have three fairly simple issues I need to solve.
         1. Is it possible to set a text box to allow it to grow in height as information is added that exceeds the size of the text box. This feature is available as a property in Microsoft Access as an example. I know you can allow multiple lines but you can see them all without the expanding feature.
         2. This form is design to grow by adding instances. I would like to set up the pagination so it would flow to additional page(s). I think I would just like the line
    to continue to flow to the next page without creating a break in the primary instance if that makes sense (the top level of the instances - mode). This level could theoretically by larger than one page so this is probably best route to go. Currently it's not flowing at all to the 2nd page.
         3. Somehow I ended up with a 2nd page to the form. How do I delete that but yet have the expanding form automatically create a 2nd, 3rd (etc) page as required.

    Hi Patrick,
    I can't make changes to your form at the moment, but there are a few things you need to bear in mind. If you want items to expand and push objects down, then you will need a Flowed layout.
    See this example about making fields dynamic: http://assure.ly/g80MVY.
    Also this looks at the difference between Flowed (where you want to get to) and Positioned (where you are now) subforms: http://assure.ly/eSGQMt.
    Yes, just select the textfield and go to the LAyout palette. There under height, tick Expand to fit. If you preview this you will see that it expands, BUT will cross over objects beneath it. This is where you need to group objects in a Flowed subform, so that when it expands it will push objects down.
    The page needs to be set to Flowed. There are pagination settings available under the Object palette and you can start with Place = Follow previous and then Continue filling parent. You also want to make sure that for the subforms (and textfields) you have set in the Object palette that content is allowed to break over pages.
    Check your pagination settings.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • Expanding text field & page numbers

    Got a form with an expanding text field.  Also have page # of # on the form.  When the text field expands to multiple pages, it overlays (?) the page # of #.
    Any idea on how I can not have the text field expand to cover it up ??

    The colors can be adjusted ....if its blue on your machine that is OK.
    Can you share the form with me so I can see what is happening?
    Can you send it to [email protected] and I will have a look. Please include a description of the issue in your email.

  • Bootstrap, height of edge animation and others div content in the page- overlay issue

    I’ve a problem with the position others div tags in a page with a edge animation in the top (in the below example, div “box-animation”… export it with “publish target: Web”).
    The static content (in the below example, class “content-static”) is always overlay to the animation, instead to view it below div “box-animation”.
    The first solution is to set an height for edge animation container (for example, #box-animation height: 500px) but its very complicate to manage it with responsive website.
    So, how to view the static content in a div tag after an animation create with edge animate, to avoid overlay effect?
    This my first animation with Edge Animate and I always thought that the animation would have been placed in the html order of the webpage...
    Thanks
    Example:
    <body>
    <div id=“box-animation”><div id="Stage" class=“animation1…”>[edge animation]</div></div>
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <div class="span12">
          <div class=“content-static”><p>Test content</p></div>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
    </body>

    Hi... put a trasparent gif image, with the same animations's width/height, in the first div after the edge code container.
    If you want responsive layout, remember to remove width/height values.
    <body>
    <div id=“box-animation”><div id="Stage" class=“animation1…”>[edge animation]</div></div>
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <div class="span12"><img src="images/spacer.gif" alt=""/>
          <div class=“content-static”><p>Test content</p></div>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
    </body>

  • Firefox is expanding to fill entire screen, no access to controls

    There is something wonky going on. After I launch firefox which I have done for years, today its started automatically expanding to fill whole screen, no access to any controls, etc.
    I did try to install software no such luck.
    See attached screenshot -hmm how do I attach a screenshot.... well if I did you would JUST see the browser filling entire area of my screen (and no making it larger or smaller with mac controls does nothings)

  • Expanding dynamic form page issue

    Hope someone may be able to help me out with this one?
    I've created a dynamic fomw with the ability to add lines as required, and the test boxes will expand as required also. However I've encountered a problem when the form expands onto additional pages. Everything works fine except that everytime the 'trailer' subform jumps onto page 2 etc. it also inserts'/leaves itself at the bottom of each page.
    What I'm trying to achive, is a form with the ability to add lines which will cascade through as many pages as required, yet only have the trailer subfrom on the last page and not throught the document.
    I'm sure I've just overlooked something simple, being relatively new to this. But I've read through loads of help files and tried a number of thisngs with no luck so far......Any assistance given will be gratefully recieved.
    I've included the form to enable it to be better understood.
    Regards,
    Adrian

    Thanks Paul,
    Your help was much appreciated. Seems obvious once you've pointed where I'd gone wrong out. Thanks again.

  • IE6 child div expands width of parent div

    I have a problem that has been vexing me...hopefully someone can answer it.
    I want to have a child div expand to overlap the div next to it. It is for a calendar so that all day events that stretch for multiple days can stretch over and cover multiple days.
    In IE6, the child div expands the width of the parent div and wrecks my display. The "proper" way that FF, Safari, and IE 7 & 8 do is that the child div will overlay the parent. The parent div's width remains unchanged, no matter what the width of the child is. IE6 incorrectly expands the width of the parent div to match that of the child div.
    I've set up a small example so you can see the difference. Check it out in FF and then in IE 6. Notice that in IE6 the "parent" div is too wide. In FF it looks fine.
    Any way to get IE6 to behave like FF in this case?
    Thanks!

    I see now you posted your code.  Thanks.
    For best cross browser results, the floated container needs to be wide enough to accomodate everything inside it. Some browsers will resize others won't.   For another approach see my code.  This uses a disjointed rollover method.

  • Photoshop CS5 - why does dragging cropped paper to layout causes it to expand to fill entire layout?

    I'm hoping someone can help me out.
    I create a 12in x 12in layout for a scrappage to work on.
    I open up a pattern paper and crop it to 9in x 9 in.
    MOVE the cropped paper to my layout.
    The cropped paper expands to fill my 12x12 in layout.  It doesn't move over as a 9x9 in crop.  This has worked just fine the last few months, but got messed up yesterday after working on some tutorial.
    I must have changed some setting, but have no idea what setting it was.  (maybe some 'expand' feature, but I can't figure it out).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you.

    Yes, that option is already checked in my Preferences.
    If it helps any, my little tutorial I did yesterday, involved doing an Active selection on a rectangle shape, and doing a 'contract' on it.
    'With the selection still active ("marching ants"), go to Select > Modify > Contract.'
    I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem I'm seeing now, but everything else on the tutorial was not new stuff to me.  Only this was, so my suspician is here.  But then again, I'm not selecting anything just to place a cropped paper on my layout.
    Also, I was playing around with trying to move a pattern paper to my layout this morning, and I tried crops of 8x8 in thru 11x11 inches, and after I moved it over, it filled up my 12x12 layout.  However, when I cropped my paper to 7inx7in and moved it to my layout, I finally saw a slight crop.  About 0.1 x 01. inch showed to be cropped; but definately not 5 x 5 in crop.  It's like it's expaning my paper by a certain amount.

  • Can't expand gradient fill w/ transparency? (cs4)

    I'm very glad they added the ability to set the opacity of gradient markers in cs4. However, when I expand a fill with a partially transparent gradient, the opacity is lost (everything goes to 100%). Am I doing something wrong, or is this simply a known or expected limitation?
    For now, I'll go back to using opacity masks if I need to expand.
    Thanks.

    Not sure if this is what you are after.
    Create a gradient with a 100% fill of cyan to 100% fill of cyan. Change one gradient slider to have an opacity of 5%.
    If you put a solid colored object below it you wil see that 95% of that object shows throught the 5% side of the gradient.
    You now have two options under the Menu / Object / Flatten Transparency dialog box.
    1- Select object / Object / Flatten Transparency.  Choose "Preserve Overprints and Spot Colors" and you will loose the transparency effect (the colored object below will not show through) but the gradient go from 5% cyan to 100% cyan.
    2- Select object / Object / Flatten Transparency. If you choose "Preserve Alpha Transparency" you wil retain the transparent properties of the gradient.
    This does change the object to an image and is no longer editable as a vector object.
    Is this what you are looking for?
