Help with applescript...newbie...no idea what I'm doing...

Apple Script: I got this applescript off of a forum for RapidCart for Rapidweaver. It allows the user to upload multiple thumbnails to each e-commerce page with the code...I don't know how to make this work for my files tho...can anyone help...this is what the person said to put into applescript and then run it...please help...

First of all, I know nothing about RapidCart, RapidWeaver
I've cut and pasted the script into the Applescript editor, compiled it and ran it
the first dialog prompts for "Item number" - so I typed "5"
the second dialog prompts for "Number of Photos" - so I typed "2"

Now, the author should have explained that this script is specific to his needs and MUST be customized for your use.
I don't know how familiar you are with HTML but the "resource" tag refers to a file - a jpg file in this case.

Someone help! I have no idea what I am doing!

I have a 80gb iPod that we just bought from a friend. Somehow I managed to delete all the songs he had on there which was like 2,000. I'm not really worried about that. Problem is..how do I get music on my iPod from my computer? I've also tried adding music to the Library in iTunes and it has stored to the recently added list. Okay, so the problem seems to be in that iTunes can't find your songs (like you said).
So let's try this:
Open up the iTunes preferences, Edit>Preferences for a PC. Click the advanced tab. Now make sure the Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized box is checked, as well as Copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library checkbox.
Click OK.
If these checkboxes weren't already checked, then iTunes will take some time to copy your library.
If you already had the checkboxes checked, and nothing happens when you click OK, click Advanced, then Consolidate Library. This will copy your library again.
If no error messages pop up during the copy, you're set. Right click the iPod (Bigdogs iPod, as yours has been named), and left click Sync.
If error messages pop up during the copying library process, complaining about not being able to find files, it means you've actually somehow moved or deleted the songs that you added to iTunes. Delete the references to the songs in question from iTunes, re-add them again and then sync the ipod over again.

Need Help with FMS 3.5 - No Idea What I'm Doing!

I am dying for some guidance here. I've been tasked with setting up a media server so that we can stream video. Problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing here and am confused by the documentation. Can somebody please walk me through how I would set up this server so that I can stream a video? The only thing I've been able to do so far is locate the "sample video player" and type in the address http://localhost/vod/test.flv in the STREAM URL: box. This works, but the video/sound is very choppy. Also, how does this relate to the Administration Console?

Basically you're approaching this the wrong way around. What you need is the extreme sections to be quieter, not louder. The problem with moving the lower end of the audio is that you'll move the noise floor too, and get what's generally referred to as a 'pumping' effect. So what you do is to use a compressor to tame the peaks, and leave the lower level sound alone. When you've done that, you amplify (or normalize to a level you can determine) the whole signal. So the noise floor will be higher, but constant and not pumping. 'Match Volume' is a completely different tool for setting the overall levels of different tracks so that they sound approximately the same - it doesn't even begin to do what you want.
If it's music you are treating, then I'd almost certainly use the multiband compressor, because you get less artefacts with this. You need to experiment with the threshold levels, and almost certainly not use a massive compression ratio - 3:1 or 4:1 should be sufficient (although it's hard to tell without actually hearing the audio). You can tell what it's doing at any given point because the downward meter indicates how hard it's working. In theory you can apply make-up gain with it as well, but personally I leave that until everything's treated and use the 'Normalize' tool to set an absolute max level.

If you've changed your password and it still shows disabled then try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

It probably did not turn itself off. It most likely went into "sleep".
Did you try to restart the Apple TV? That is what solved the problem for me.
Go to the main AppleTV menu - you might have to press the Menu button a couple of times to get there - select Settings, then Select General, scroll down to Restart and select that.
As long as you don't have a "Do not unplug" message on your screen, unplugging the power cable, waiting a minute, then plugging it back in should accomplish the same thing. I always prefer using the menu method over unplugging.
If that doesn't work, I fear you might have to contact Apple. They will likely tell you to restore your AppleTV to factory settings. That will be a pain in the neck since they will need to walk you through it. They might do that for you at an Apple store. I'm a senior citizen too, and it's easy for me to look helpless - even though I've worked in computers and networking for a very long time.

That's not a very programmatic way to it, but it gets the job

Best Buy shouldn't be allowed steelbooks, as you guys haven't the foggiest idea what you are doing.

I swear everytime I try and go to get a steelbook from Best Buy it makes me hate Best Buy ever so much and never ever ever want to shop there because of how bad you handle this and have no idea what you are doing.
Wanted to preorder Ghost Rider and get the free steelbook but guess what they never even got them in and I checked everyday for a week after being told they were in transit on a Monday and by Wednesday was told they had been deleted by the system. Well one good thing came out of that now I don't even have to bother buying the movie at your store.
Wanted to get the Warner Brothers line of steelbooks that you just came out but guess what just like Ghost Riders none have showed up and everytime I ask I get well 12 our on order for that title and that title and that title.

Aren't those Steelbooks officially out till like June 6th or something? And I worked in retail before. This may sound dumb, but sometimes they still want you to set up displays even before the items are received. You can't be mad cause they follow direction. They might of been told to fill in the space with items to look full. Honestly you're being upset for no good reason. Yeah, it sucks that you aren't seeing the items you want in stores. These are promo items so not every store will get it. Unless it's advertised in the ad, then you should be upset. If no store has any, order them online. Your description of the issue is not clear:
What format, bit depth and color was your original file "from the net"? It sounds like it was a Color Indexed GIF, which would cause what you are describing.
In the Macintosh Finder, select said "net image" and do a Get Info on it (Command+i). When the Info box appears in the Finder, take a screen shot and upload it here by using the little camera icon in the Reply Editor in the forum's web interface.
If the image is a 256-color GIF, remember the rule: GIGO = garbage in, garbage out.

You haven't opened an account with that Apple ID in iTunes. Open iTunes and log in. A dialog will appear in which you need to enter your Apple ID and/or password. Below it you should see a link for creating a new account. Click on that link to get started.
