I have a Mac book pro 15, and my question is back in feb of this year i had a coffee spill and turned computer side ways for 3 days straight. when i turned it on it worked, about a few days later o got a update for itunes then soon after that my mac app store will not let me sign in each time i do it says a unknown error has occured it also happens to i cloud facetime and i cal is there some sort of way i can fix this like i said my macbook is working find expect for these features. i have ox s 10.7 need to update apps and cannot untill i get this fixed someone please tell me what to do to fix my mac app store i have shut down and rebooted and that did not work took away ethernet card still did not work. need steps on what to do.

Yeah but all fetures are working i can sign into itunes on my mac using the same address and password but not for app store i cloud face time etc could there be somthing disabled other than ethernet

So I tried the trial version but my serial number didn't work I guess because it's for a CS5.5 Web Premium product. I also tried uninstalling my current version of FB4 Standard, uninstalling CS5.5 and starting from scratch without any copies of FlashBuilder in my Applications folder and that didn't work, same error log message. I ended up reinstalling my original copy of FB4 Standard so I could continue working.
The odd thing is when I went to my MacBook Pro and uninstalled the copy of FB4 Standard I have on there and installed the CS5.5 FlashBuilder 4.5 Premium it works and started up fine. So I'm guessing there's something specific about my iMac setup that's preventing launch.
I was looking at my FB installation details, don't know if this matters but I'm running the standalone version:
Adobe Flash Builder Localized Standalone Feature 4.0.1.277662 com.adobe.flexbuilder.feature.standalone.nl1.feature.group

Unfortunately it's the weekend (holiday in US too). I like the weekend for trying to get these things setup but I'm on my own and feel I'm out of luck until the work week starts.
If anyone from Adobe is reading this with a beer in one hand and hotdog in the other (or burger or veggie burger or bbq chicken leg) on a hot memorial day and have an idea on how to fix this I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks!

This has just happened to me today. I have an iphone 5 on Verizon. I was using the internet on the device normally when it started. It couldn't access any online data even though it had 4 bars of service and LTE. I restarted it and it would be stuck "Searching for network". I tried wiping the phone with no luck. It gets stuck at around 99% of the firmware restore process and hangs there for about 25 minutes before itunes gives me the error described above. I tried the recover-mode restore with the same results.
I need a working phone ASAP, this is extremely frustrating!

Try deleting the cache associated wi the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Now open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Click Go then move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Try the App Store.

Thanks for your response. I have reinstalled and used the adobe clean software to remove all adobe software first. still not working. Can you explain in more detail "fix the permissions on your User: Library folders"? I have verified disc perms in Disc Utility.

This helped me.
Go to Start -- Accessories -- Command Prompt, make right click and choose run as administrator
Type this command : netsh winsock reset
then restart your computer, everything should be ok after this. Good Luck.

I got an update for my ipod touch and after updating a error occoured. So i clicked ok and it sayd i need to restore and update it. A quick Google search for Error 2001 would indicate that this occurs when you have a jailbroken phone or were trying to downgrade iOS. Is that true for you?

I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.
