How to know the SID of the particular locked record?

Hi, this is generic question.
please tell me the solution for the below requirment.
One user has locked a record in table ‘EMP’ for UPDATE – transaction/row level lock.. The Emp_ID = 123 is locked.
2nd user also tries to update the same record(emp_id=123) in the table but will not be able to lock it bcoz 1st user has locked it….
Requirement is the 2nd user should get a message indicating who has locked that particular record(emp_id=123)..
V$lock, dba_locks, v$transaction etc., will give all the SIDs that have locks on the table (bcoz many users will be having row level locks on different records on the same table)
but I want only the SID which has locked desired record (emp_ID=123)
Can you give any solution ?

How about addressing and fixing the business process where two different users at the same time need to change the exact same business entity?
Showing the locked session/user does not fix the problem. It is a technical workaround. Technical "solutions" like these does not and cannot address inherent business process conflicts.

When you do right click on cube and display data then you have option to choose the fields. Lets say I restrict show me all the records for fiscal year "2006" then wgere can I see actually how many records there are of 2006.

By using LISTCUBE you can put a check mark for Output Number of Hits:
If you do not select all fields in the field selection for output and have activated the database aggregation, several records may be collected together into a single record. If you select the option 'No. of Hitsoutput', an additional key figure is generated in the output table that specifies how many records the current record is made up of, that is, how many database records have been made into the output record.
You can also use this option to determine how many records there are in a particular selection condition in the InfoCube. Specify a selection condition, but do not select any characteristics or key figures. In the return list, you only get the column return with the number of hits and the number of entries that are relevant for this selection condition.

GO to NACE and select your application and click on output types and in the next screen select your output type and and dbl click on Processing routines.
Here you will come to know about which driver program is used for which smartform or Script.

How to know the class method behind an enterprise service

SAP has provided enterprise services for Room booking in Real Estate module. They are even shipping the complete application for a nominal price. But the standard version is not suitable for our client requirement so they want to develop this application inhouse.
Now my question is: I know the enterprise services used in this application. How to know the implementing methods behind these enterprise services ?
If possible suggest which approach will be a better option for the inhouse development.
1. Webdynpro ABAP and use directly methods behind the enterprise services.
2. Webdynpro ABAP and create client proxy class for the enterprise services.
3. Webdynpro JAVA and use the enterprise services.
4. Using visual composer modelling the application.
Please suggest the best alternative.

I assume you are talking about xApps.
How to know the implementing methods behind these enterprise services ?
In sproxy transaction you can search service and then you can see class and method implemented behind that particular service.
1. Webdynpro ABAP and use directly methods behind the enterprise services.
In my opinion not recommended to bypass ES and use method behind it.
2. Webdynpro ABAP and create client proxy class for the enterprise services.
Not sure why you want to create proxy of ES.
3. Webdynpro JAVA and use the enterprise services.
4. Using visual composer modelling the application.
You can use either Webdynpro (ABAP or Java) or VC to model your application which consume ES in backend. Both options are good, you can chose Java or ABAP flavor of dynpro based on skill available in team. VC is very effective in rapid modelling and can be used in protyping or in development of complete application.

To know the size of the input message , i hope we have one option , after copying the test payload from the SXMB_MONI into Message mapping test -- click on test
after come back to design tab in message mappign
click on left side root node and Press CTRL+SHIFT + mouse right click and click on trace -- you can see the size of the message payload.

How to know the Function Module of a standard datasource?

As per my understanding there will be an underlying Function Module for each SAP BI datasource. But I dont know how to know the name of that Function Module for a particular datasource.Could anybody pls help me as i am need of this urgently.

Run transaction RSO2 and enter the required datasource whether transaction data, MD attributes or Text then click on display. In the message pain and the bottom of the gui it will tell you which function module said datasource uses for extraction.

because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this   2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..
could you please confirm..

With a contract number, how to know the total PO release value against it?

Usually one contract corresponds to multiple PO records, now we know the contract number, then how to know the total PO release value against this contract. In other word, we would like to know the total release value of all the POs with the same contract number. To just input the contract number in EKPO table? but then look for which field in this table to add these PO release values up?
