I have the following situation. 1 Apple ID. 1 iTune account. I have 2 ipads and 2 iPhones
1- I would like to have a set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (mine) sharing the same contacts and calendar entries (synching from outlook)

Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

Everything that you have checked in your icloud settings will be shared between devices using the same Apple ID. If you don't want icloud to share that information, then simply turn off that process under settings > icloud

I have Cisco call manager 8.2 integrated with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Unified Messaging.
Call manager has primary and secondary server. I created a sip trunk and linked primary CUCM with Exchange. Users can leave and get voice mails.
Problem: In case that primary server is down (WAN is down) the users registered on secondary server but they cannot contact to Exchange Unified Messaging.
I added new UM Dial Plan with the same pilot and associated it to the secondary CUCM server. UM answered but do not recognize the extension number "is not a valid mailbox extension".
Is it possible that Exchange UM could be configure with two call managers over the same sip, the same pilot number, different associated UM servers and get access to the same voice mail boxes?
If not:
Does exist a way to configure Exchange UM that will work if one CUCM server is down?

I have enough ports, but inputs are needed in completely different applications. Do I have to close one of them or can they run simultaneously?

Dear gtu,
as nathand said, usually it is not supported to access the same physical resource simultaneously from multiple programs. In case of DAQmx for instance, you will get an error message which says that the resource is already reserved. I suppose the same would happen with your driver, however it might be worth a try.
One workaround could be however if you revise your applications and merge the codes if it is possible so that no concurent resource allocation takes place.

Sync them both to the same iTunes music library. You can also automatically download purchased music to both by going to Settings>iTunes & App Stores and turning Music to On under Automatic Downloads. Simply connect them. One computer with one iTunes can manage multiple devices. They're tracked by S/N but you might wish to assign them unique names so that you can track them yourself.
The only minor issue is app updating and purchases while on the computer. It's necessary to log out and back in to the "correct" ID. Much easier to do these things from the iPods.

Yes. My wife and I each have our own Apple ID and used the same computer to sync our phones with iTunes. The best way to do this is set up separate user accounts on the computer. If you are logged in to your account on the computer and your wife wants to sync here phone, you would log out and she would log in. These keeps all your stuff separate and avoids a ton of confusion.

Problem with syncing 2 iphones to the same account

I have 2 iphones -a 3gs and a 4g, each started out with thesame contact info. Eventually each phone had a slightly different set ofcontact info. I named each phonewith a different name on iTunes. Itried to sync them to the same itunes account thinking that each phone willupdate by computers address book and this way I would have a mirror imageaddress book on both phones and the computer. The first time around it created duplicate files, in otherwords instead of updating a certain contact with possibly a new phone number,it created a new file for that contact with the new phone number and kept theold file with the old phone number. I cleaned up contacts on one of the iphones and then reset the addressbook with an older back up and then did the sync again, but this time for somereason instead of updating the computers address book with the clean versionthat was on the iphone, the reverse occurred and my old back up copy of theaddress book was entirely copied over the iphone contact list. So now I have lost all the updates thatwere on the iphone.
I have 2 questions:
1. Is it possible to restore the lost contact list from theiphone or is it lost forever?
2. What did I do wrong in the syncing process that causedthe computer's back up copy of the address book overwrite the new and updatedcontact list on the iphone?

The best way to do this is to create two separate computer logins. That way, you have separate address books, separate itunes accounts, separate everything with no chance that each other's data will become intermingled.

I bring this problem here may somebody experienced that.
I developed two client side applications(applets). Locate them on Apache/Tomcat. There is also a Index.html file with two links, so when user clicks on each link the associated application will downloaded on his/her PC and ready to work. (In index.html I used JavaScript function window.open(?) to load the applications)
Now please see this scenario:
1-I ran/loaded both application in two separate browsers(IE5.5). And tried to work with them(minimized one and work with another). Soon I faced unexpected frizzing/locking or very slow running on both applications.
2-Then closed/killed one of them(killed IE). Then re-executed same application again. The application loaded with the last activated screen . Seems it never killed and it was still alive.
3- The only way to successfully working is one by one. Means execute & work with one, then kill that, and then execute and work with another.
To Debug:
When both applications were running(each on it?s own IE), I opened the Task Manager and saw there was only one IEXPLORER.EXE was running, also there was only one Java VM (a little bird icon) on right-bottom of the screen.
I believe this causes the problem. Seems they both running in the same session. Since I opened two applications in two IE I was expected to see two IEXPLORER.EXE with two JVM. Am I right? Do you think so?
Note that the two app. have no Communication with each other.
Any way, Now I am seeking to find the solution. My primary mind says probably I should not use window.open(..) in index.html to load the applications.
Would appreciate any command on this.

What I understand is that when we use javascript:window.open() it opens a new browser window
but under same JVM. This is helpful if we need to have a 'Close window' button/link in the newly opened window and use javascript:window.close() there. Then browser will not show us the confirmation dialog box 'Webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window. Do you wish to Proceed?'
But if we want a new JVM for each opened link and also donot want the popup dialog to be displayed when we close the browser from there..what do we do??
