Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

I've just changed my router and whilst my laptops sync ok, my G4 tower which connects via an airport express doesn't connect to the internet. I think it's something to do with the IP or DHCP settings but have had no success, any help much appreciated.

Is the new Router using maybe WPA2 encryption? If so, G4s can only do WPA or less.

The Interface that connects to the Internet, needs to be drug to the top of System Preferences>Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
Then... Try putting these numbers in Network>Airport>TCP/IP>DNS Servers, for the Interface you connect with...

Then Apply.
Also, turn off IPv6:

I need help with the photo stream. Everytime I try to open it on my PC it says photo stream is unable and I have tried everuthing to enable it but it doesn't work. Any help, please?

ID on the Mac can produce reports that may (or may not) prove helpful in diagnosing the problem. I suspect this is something not directly related to InDesign, and maybe not to any of the Adobe apps directly since you seem to be having a problem in more than one. That often inidcates a problem at the system level.
Nevertheless, it won't hurt to try to gather the reports. You'll find driections for how to generate them, and to post them on Pastebin.com (then put a link to them here) so we can see what's going on at Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding

The only observations are that the backup drive is deemed too small and the quite long list of diagnostic reports dated between Jan 18, 2015 (which I believe is the day I upgraded to Yosemite) & today the latest Yosemite update was installed on Jan 28, 2015

I'm doing a transfer from one macbook pro to another. I have CS4 Photoshop Extended. When I go to open it on my new computer it says error 150:30.
Don't try transferring Adobe software. It rarely works and usually breaks the activation mechanism (150:30 error).
Uninstall, run the Cleaner tool then re-install from scratch.

Partition of hard drive fails permanently, "Input/output error" on format
Hello!
I have a serious problem on my flat-panel G4 15" 700 MHz (it’s a used machine, bought it on eBay): After the pre-installed system was running nicely for about a month, today I turned it on and got the infamous "broken folder"/prohibitory sign... Alright, I thought, I may have to repair permissions or fix my OS X installation using the system CDs (10.3). But I was wrong, it is impossible to repair the permissions, I couldn't even format the hard drive! Then I get the error "Input/output error", consecutively. I reset everything, PRAM, PMU, formatted the drives in Target Mode, tried to install Mac OS X on an external drive (Can’t be installed on my Firewire-connected drive). No chance.
Is there a possibility this may be due to a hard drive controller error (ATA)? I can’t think of anything else... Any help would be appreciated!That was my second guess, however, I swapped the hard drives (with an almost identical model) et voilà - same error as before. Now I examined the internals of the machine and found a single wire of the IDE cable seems to be broken, I’ll exchange the cable and let you know if that solves the problem.

hey guys.
so yesterday i got the usual mac updates downloaded, and then installed, then of course re-started my macbook.
but when it restarted, it just freezes on the part just after the startup noise (where the small circle is rotating), and it does this constantly, without progressing to usual use. so i didn't panic at this point, and just held down the power button until it turned off, and then i turned it back on, and it did the same thing...
it is not an issue with the battery, i have tried both draining and charging to full life.
if anybody has any idea what the problem/solution could be, please get in touch either via this thread or <edited by hosts for your privacy>also, should i get intouch with apple seperatley? i tried to find their email but failed miserably...

Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the computer's battery.
Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.
Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.

Where is the WiFi card in a 2010 MacBook Pro 15' I5
So today i had turned on my 2010 MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Intel i5 15', to notice that the wifi bars are no longer there. I suspect there being an issue with the wifi card, but with this unit, i'm confused as to where it is. I have looked around on the internet and google images and some are in different place than others. I also heard from somewhere else online that it is a built in wifi card, if so where is that located? By the heat sink or is it the antenna looking cables? I'm desperate to get this thing fully functional as for i need it for school and work in the morning and my only source of internet is via wifi.
Well this unit was once water damaged and with significant time and dedication i brought this unit from the dead to life. So maybe this is one of the minor things that has finally given out, the water damage was a few months ago and it was working fine along that entire time, but tonight maybe it has given. Do you by chance know what the visible card is that is next to the heat sink but is not covered by it?

I saw several suggestions on here and with that I found two hard drives.
I just didn't know which would be better or what the differences between them were.

I don’t know if they’re ultimately the same drive or not. The first drive (HGST part number 0S03563) is sold at retail as a “mobile internal drive kit”, and the second drive (HGST part number 0J22423) is sold at retail as a “mobile hard drive”. They’re both SATA III, 2.5-inch form factor, 7200 RPM, 1 TB hard drives with three-year warranties. You’ll need to dig around the technical specifications at hgst.com to see if there are specific technical differences between them.
