I Updated to IOS 7 and now my phone has a passcode I have never set one up, of course I didn't back up my phone recently

So I updated to IOS 7 last night and when I tried to log in it wants a passcode... I have never used a Passcode feature on my phone and have not backed up my phone in forever what do I do???? Can i still get in by somehow singing in with my apple ID? Do i need to use this new lost phone activation... Please help i have a useless phone. Anyway apple can reset this passcode, I know my apple ID that is tethered to the phone and password.

The same thing happened to my poor sister, and she is panicking because of all of her photos of her "daughter growing up" that will be lost. It seems that this has happened to several people already, and I REALLY hope that Apple figures this out so that it doesn't force all of these people to completely reset their devices. ASk your friend who unlock the phone for him/her.
ONly the carrier that the phone is locked to is authorized to unlock it.
bAse on your description, it sounds like your friend had his/her phone hacked to unlock it from the original carrier.

Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back? I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

Did you change your credit card in itunes under your account to one from another country. That sometimes will change the language on your apps try This "Click on your email address in the top right of iTunes to get to your account details, then click the "change" button next to your "Country/Region". Select a country for which you have (access to) a credit card. iTunes will ask you for credit card information when you save this country setting.

You are correct. Corrupted files are in the backup. If you've already restored the iPhone it has been erased and starting over is the way to go in order to eliminate the corrupted files.

I fixed it!!
While not connected to any USB cable I put the iPad in recovery mode.
To do that turn the iPad completely off. Press and hold the home button while turning the iPad on, once you see the apple logo release the home button.
Turn on your OS X mac after it boots up connect the USB from iPod to Mac. iTunes should start. If not launch itunes.
Perform the factory restore process paying attention to all of the screen message windows. Then set up the ipad like it was new.

No, I'm sorry. If you're seeing that Connect to iTunes screen that means the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored.
If you can't borrow a friend's computer, you can go to the Apple Store and they will restore it for you.

It didn't asked to put a new passcode when it was upgrading. No i can't get to the screen until i put the 4 digits code. Please help... thanks

There are three things you can do.
1) Type 0000. That is normally the standard passcode, or try 1234.
2) Do a reset by holding the on/off and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.

Some other uses have experienced a Restructuions passcode just appearing out of thin air. Try passwords you use on the iPhone.

Try resetting first.

Be aware, resetting to factory settings deletes all user data.
