Mac OS X Server wiki not accessible

Hi,
while I can read wiki pages on OS X server, I cannot edit them on the iPad. Is there a way?

FWIW, we made some progress on this. Looks like there is team server code in /usr/share/collaboration/javascript/wiki.js that checks for iPads and disables the edit toolbar:

If one changes "(SafariFixes.isiPad ? 'visibility:hidden' : '')" to simply an empty string '', and then restarts the team server, then one can get the toolbar to show up. (Actually, you have to change this text in the compressed version of the wiki.js file, "compressed_wiki.js", since that is the one that is actually used by the team server.)
Once the toolbar is there, you can click on it and enter edit mode. However, the Safari browser (webkit?) does not know enough to enable editing there. Clicking in the edit region does not bring up the keyboard.
So, it seems that editing team server pages within the web browser is not supported. Other wikis we use (e.g., Twiki) work just fine; in edit mode, those bring up the keyboard. But team server does not seem to interact right in iOS, whether with Safari (Webkit) or Opera Mini. Strange...

What exactly is not working? Is it be the username and password you're using? Possibly some other reason? Do you get the shake/jiggle at the login window? It really is a guessing game unless you give us more detail. Have you browsed the forum? I'm fairly certain others have posted with similar problems. When did it stop working? Was it a reboot of the server after an update that stalls at the login screen (your post alludes to this) or something else?
What is the Server configured as? Standard? WorkGroup? Advanced?
I can't see what the option or 'C' keys would do for you? If I understand you correctly by themselves they are not going to achieve much.

Mac OS X Leopard Wiki not editable by Firefox 4.0.1

We are running Mac OS X Leopard with the latest updates. When cklicking on the edit button on a wiki page in Firefox 4.0.1 the edit toolbar appears, however the content does not become editable and it is not possible to change it. Does anybody know how to address that issue without telling users to use a different browser?

one thing I see right away is that your computer does not meet min reqs for leopard. leopard requires at least 512MB RAM and you've got just 256MB. In fact, I recommend you get at least 1 MB of RAM if you plan to run any programs at all besides the OS itself. this might be the reason why you are getting kernel panics and can not boot from the DVD.

How to divide Mac OS X Server for two users?

How can I make Mac OS X (Tiger) server to serve two separate users separately. What I mean is that server should have separate places for testing various stuff on it and room for presentations and such stuff. They should be separately so I wouldn't mess up something with presentation part. Should I create virtual disk or make some kind of dual boot for it and how should I do it. I hope the text is understandable.

It's not clear at all what you are trying to do.

multiple logins at the computer itself, unlike OS X
"client" (the standard, non-server Mac OS X).
Why are you running OS X Server, it sounds like what
you want is regular Mac OS X (client, not server) and
multiple local user accounts.

granular permissions (via ACLs), centralized
authentication, NetBoot, etc. , then perhaps start by

You will create a custom theme. Copy all the .xsl files into your theme folder. Modify default.xsl for most of the sub-level pages. Modify group_listing.xsl for /groups and /users pages. Your server index page is located in Library\WebServer\Documents. Most of what you want to do can probably be done through CSS.
Once your custom theme is finished set it as the default in the Admin Panel.

One of two wiki is not accessible after upgrade to maverick

I migrated a 10.8.5 server to 10.9.1 today. I use the wiki and profile manager on the server. My problem is that I can see my two wiki, but one of them is not accessible. When I click over it I have an error message that the page you search for is not found. It is not an error from safari, is more an error from the wiki itself.
I think that my problem is the name of the wiki got an accent in it. The name of the wiki is "Procédure et standard" and the url in safari when I click over is "/wiki/projects/procédureetstandard/Procdure_et_standard.html" It is possible to search for an article in this wiki, and I will find him without any problem.
I tryed the command
wikiadmin fixPermissions
wikiadmin updateSchema
without success. I have a time machine backup from the server 10.8.5. What can I try?

This is not that simple to do, all the process is for a 10.6.4 server. In 10.9 everything changed. I have less than 50 posts in the wiki. I think I will start a new wiki, and move all the article by the interface. It will be more "clean".

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.

Help/ Decision-decision to get a Mac Mini Server or not

I am naturally new at this, I have never dealt with a server before as an administrator. I am very interested in Podcasting and Wikis and naturally came across Podcast producer and Wiki Server 2 from Mac Os X server. How hard is it to set up, and how hard is it to run and administer? What kind of resources would I need and what kind of support? I work at a University that does not haveMac IT gurus I can just call and ask for help, they only deal with PC's. Any help is appreciated before I make a decision or forget about and go low tech ( Fred Flinstone like)

The mini will be about as powerful as your current MBP. You could have more RAM in the mini, 2 GB is certainly not enough for any serious work.
People on this list were initially(LP 9.0.0) underwhelmed by the MBP i7 dual core, it is a step up from your older MBP, but don't expect miracles. Get lots of RAM/a SSD for optimum performance.
9.1.3 may have improved performance, not sure,
Fast and relatively cheap: iMac i7 quad core. Not very portable, though.
Not ideal either is your M-audio interface, its drivers are below par making your Mac sweat more than necessary.

I have tried from so many forms. This is so frustrating. Thank for everyone/anyone who wants to help. So this is what happened: I had to uninstall my previous sqlserver 2012(which worked great) for some reason, and I uninstalled everything from that download.
Then I installed the trial edition of sql server 2012 (64 Bit) and It wouldn't connect to the database. (Error mentioned above.) My local DB is COWBOYS. (COWBOYS is also my computer name.) After this, I have tried downloading sqlexpress and sqlserver 64bit
many times and cannot connect to my local DB.
How do I connect to my Local DB?
Also, I think this might help: (When I run sqlserve.exe, which I was able to find in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\LocalDB\Binn, I get an error: Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with(Error getting
instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
I would happily re install it, if it wasn't my 20th time.
I don't have any remote connections, I don't use username/password, only window authentication. I work mostly on visual studio, but without able to store /retrieve data, I don't know how to survive.
May be the solution is very simple, but I am too frustrated.

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

I got a new ipod recently and i cannot downloade any music onto it. this is because i tried to download the new itunes which it said i needed and now when i try to install it. It says i need a new software so i try to download that and is says i need the mac app or something. but it says i need the new software to get that. so i went onto itunes and clicked the apple and pressed new software and it goes onto this little thing that says my internet is alright but my server has not been connecting. My computer is connected to my school and they updated the server thing and now it wont connect, so i can't win. how do i fix this and download everything i neew?

Site not accessible from the Load balanced web front end server - sharepoint 2010

I have a production environment with 2 WFE's(sp-wfe1 & sp-wfe2), 2 APP's and 2 SQL clustered VM's.
2 WFE's are load balanced using hardware load balancer.
An A-Record(PORTAL) is created in DNS for the virtual IP of the load balancer which points to the 2 WFE's.
A web application is created on the WFE's on port 80.
alternative access mapping is configured and the load balanced record "http://PORTAL" is used under the default zone.
Under IIS I have edited the bindings for the sharepoint site at port 80 and added the HOSTNAME as PORTAL.
Result: The site is accessible from outside the server and works fine.
ISSUE: The site is not accessible within the WFE's(sp-wfe1 & sp-wfe2).
When I browse the site from the WFE's server it ask for the credentials and when I enter the credentials and click OK it ask the credentials again and again and in the end displays a blank page.
Kindly help me in this issue because I am clueless and couldn't find anything helpful on the internet.
