MM-SUS: EBP, SUS and ROS in one single client

Dear experts,
We are currently on:
SRM 7
ECC6 (EhP 4)
Classic Scenario
We are in the process of implementing SUS and ROS in the same client as EBP.
There are a few things which are not clear to me:
- Do I still need to set up a seperate Vendor Group for SUS next to the one used for EBP? Or can I use that one for both puposes?
- Is vendor replication from ECC to SUS (BD14) necessary or is the replication from ECC to EBP (BBPGETVD) enough for this?
- Should I keep the vendors used for EBP seperate from those used for SUS.
- After user registration (ROS) and acceptance do I still need to transfer the vendor to EBP taking into consideration that they are both on the same client?
Thanks for your reply

Hi Djurick,
First of all it is not recommended to have EBP and SUS in the same client.
However coming to your questions
- Do I still need to set up a seperate Vendor Group for SUS next to the one used for EBP? Or can I use that one for both puposes?
You need to setup a separate group for SUS vendors.
- Is vendor replication from ECC to SUS (BD14) necessary or is the replication from ECC to EBP (BBPGETVD) enough for this?
BD14 is mandatory even if you have SUS and EBP on same client
- Should I keep the vendors used for EBP seperate from those used for SUS.
Yes
- After user registration (ROS) and acceptance do I still need to transfer the vendor to EBP taking into consideration that they are both on the same client?
Yes you need to transfer

  • Is both MM-SUS & EBP-SUS possible at a time ?

    Hi Gurus,
SUS will be one of the most requiered functionality for Client and all POs need to send to Suppliers via SUS.
We are mainly going to use Classic Scenarion ,where MM-SUS  fits perfectly. But at the same time Direct Materails ( Manually or automatically thru PDP as ext Req) will trigger Extended Classic Scenarion, as per SAP standard setting , although we configured all prodcut cat for Classic.
So how we can send these POs ( genreted through Ext Classsic) to Suppliers ? Can we set both  MM-SUS & EBP-SUS at atime for all suppliers ,so that all orders will go to supplieres or any workout/option availble so that I will use only MM-SUS ?
    Plz help me.
    Regards
    NAP

really  i dont know why SAP did not do anything for direct material PO in ECC itself.
since many issues and customers are not happy some customers wanted to haveall  their PO in only ECC box  though direct or indirect material.
SAP has to do something on this direct material po in classic mode . i dont know what type of technical snag there are having to do the same.
Narendra:- Do some custom enhancement to clear the account assignment in the BADI so your sc for direct material will be created in ECC only not in SRM ( clear account assignments) .
customer expectations are PO in ECC only for all materials in classic scenario without doing any enhancement.
    not applicable for you /fyi
Note 1293572 - Account assignment is cleared in case of direct material
When a material in purchase order is ordered as direct material, then default account assignement is cleared even though the customizing for accounting is maintained for the direct material in case of government procurement.

  • There are two transactions ZJPVCS303 and ZJPVCS303_US for one single Report

When run as a batch program, (currently this is the case), or withT-Code ZJPVCS303 the selection screen is unchanged (except for additional sales area above)
    - When run as T-Code ZJPVCS303_UL (UL stands for Upload) the selection screen is changed.  The unix file option is no longer available, and the user is able to upload a local file (in the same format as the current unix file, but tab delimited) to the program for processing.
    Requirements:
There are two transactions ZJPVCS303 and ZJPVCS303_US for one single Report.
->When ZJPVCS303 Transaction is executed, the file is uploaded from the Application
server to SAP R/3. The selection screen parameters would be:
      Logical Filename:
      Sales Organization:
      Distribution Channel:
      Division:
->When ZJPVCS303_US Transaction is executed, the file is uploaded from the Presentation Server
to SAP R/3. When this transaction is executed, it should not have the 'Logical
Filename' parameter anymore on the selection-screen. Instead it should only have
Local File name on the presentation server:
      Sales Organization:
      Distribution Channel:
      Division:
The same thing is applicable for the other transaction ZJPVCS303. When transaction ZJPVCS303
is executed, it should not have the 'Local Filename' parameter anymore on the selection-screen. Instead it should only have
    Logical Filename:
    Sales Organization:
    Distribution Channel:
    Division:
So how should I make these parameters invisible depending on the transaction codes execution.
I have an idea of using MODIF ID, LOOPING AT SCREEN...MODIFY SCREEN.
I have an idea of using SY-TCODE.
    EX:
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
    IF SY-TCODE = 'ZJPVCS303'.
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
    IF SCREEN-GROUPID = 'GRP'.
       SCREEN-INPUT   = 0.
       SCREEN-INVISIBLE = 1.
       MODIFY SCREEN.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    ELSEIF SY-TCODE = 'ZJPVCS303_US'.
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
    IF .....
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
But I am not able to get the output which I require. Please help me out.

    Hello Rani
Basically the transaction determines whether upload starts from application server (AS) or presentation server (PC). Thus, you will have the following parameter:
    PARAMETERS:
p_as_fil          TYPE filename   MODIF ID unx,  " e.g. Unix server
p_pc_fil          TYPE filename   MODIF ID wnd.  " e.g. Windows PC
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
      CASE syst-tcode.
    *   transaction(s) for upload from server (AS)
        WHEN 'ZJPVCS303.
          LOOP AT screen.
            IF ( screen-group1 = 'UNX' ).
              screen-input = 0.
              screen-invisible = 1.
              MODIFY screen.
            ENDIF.
          ENDLOOP.
    *   transaction(s) for upload from local PC (PC)
        WHEN 'ZJPVCS303_US.
          LOOP AT screen.
            IF ( screen-group1 = 'WND' ).
              screen-input = 0.
              screen-invisible = 1.
              MODIFY screen.
            ENDIF.
          ENDLOOP.
       WHEN others.
       ENDCASE.

  • Analog Input and Output in One Single VI

I need help in setting both analog input and output in one single VI. How do I assign channels to be either input or output? How do I simultaneously uses both in one single VI with a while loop structure?? Which AO am I suppose to use to obtain signal from the function generator I have built to feed into the DAQCard-1200?? Help!!
    Attachments:
    Test1.vi ‏48 KB

One thing you'll need to be aware of is that you will need to DMA lines: one for AI and one for AO. If you don't, then you can configure the DAQCard to do without DMA using the Config VI. But you certainly can do this.
As far as your function generator, you will want to do a buffered analog output. You will write your buffer of points to the buffer, and then tell NI-DAQ how fast to update your analog output channel with these values.
So, you can be reading from AI and checking the AO process in the same while loop. Just make sure you handle the while loop execution (the wait it exits) correctly. This can get tricky when you're doing two types of measurements.

  • SQL*Loader - How to combine Flat File 3 columns and put into one single column

Receive a flat file delimited by comma. Want to combine Flat File last 3 columns and put into one single column(Table).
    e.g.
    Flat File
    100,239,30,20,30
While inserting into table want to combine last 3 columns and insert into invoice number column.
    302030

It is not possible to combine the last 3 columns as those columns are seperated by commas and in the SQL Loader control file you must ve specified COMMA as an delimiter. So u better have all the columns in the table plus add one more column which holds the concatenation of the 3 columns.

  • Using external HDD for Time Machine and files in one single partition ?

    Hello everybody.
I've been searching for some time now and have encountered some contradictory answers, so I turn to you.
I would like to know if it's possible (one) and safe (two) to use a single partition for both Time Machine and file storage. I've read that this should be ok, since TM is actually only a single folder, which means the rest can easily be used as a standard Finder drive. Some people say however that this is not good to do so, because TM will run out of space quicker. But if the -let's say- 30Gb used for files where used by TM after a month, that would be the same, wouldn't it ? It would simply erase older backups. But is it safe to do so ? Will Time Machine not makes errors when accessing files or doing an entire system backup ? I don't won't to make a new partition really, that's why I'm asking you here, to let me know some arguments about it.
Thank you very much for your answers.

    Marekova wrote:
Yet, overlooking that, you say "safe: mostly", why is that ? where's the "danger" or, what where you thinking when you said that ? Aren't these simple folder's ? Do you mean that, because during a full backup, these "stranger" files could be a problem ? It would be great if that was clarified, since I've found no indication about it elsewhere, has anyone tryed it ?
Oh, yes folks have tried it. That's why I (and many others) recommended against it.
Here's a similar thread from just the other day: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1926893 Note the responses from the top 2 "gurus" on this forum.
I probably should have asked you what you mean by "safe." If you mean, will TM delete other files on it's partition, no, it won't. If you mean, can there be problems, then yes, there can be conflicts and difficulties, as mentioned.
As to whether TM backups are simple folders, no, they aren't. They look like normal files and folders, but they actually contain what are variously called "hard links," "multi-links," and (my own personal favorite term) "ghost clones." Think of them as very fancy aliases. So they're not to be fooled with directly, by us mere mortals.

    and/or: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/10/12/roadto_mac_os_x_leopard_timemachine.html
and, if you haven't seen it yet: http://www.apple.com/findouthow/mac/#tutorial=leopardtimemachine
You should also know that, for some reason, TM stores it's backups differently when it does them wirelessly. In that case, they're in a "SparseBundle," very different from the structure used for directly-attached backups.
All the more reason to put each Mac's backups in a separate partition, and if you want to store other data there also, a 3rd partition for that.
I've been using Mac since many years now, but I have no idea about backups, so excuse me if the statements appear a little childish.
Nope. Even those of us who are "older than dirt" and have used many flavors and varieties of backup systems for decades are in a whole new world with Time Machine.
And most of the folks on this forum who found themselves in deep trouble got there because they assumed things or didn't ask.

  • SRM - SUS, EBP,CCM,2007 Delta

    Hi Gururs,
Could you please let me know what is meant by
SUS, EBP, CCM and 2007 Delta - all these are related to SRM
As i'm new and learning SRM i'd like to know the basic idea of the above

    Hi,
    All are related to SRM
1)SRM SUS :: I SUS-Supplier Self Service.: In this vendor are linked with SAP SRM server the data will be exchanged from  SAP SRM server to the vendor WEB based service and vice versa
Each vendor will be given a User ID & Password.
The vendor can logon to the webportal to access the data related to him like
    1. Purchase order details.
2.Goods receipt details (or) Confirmation in SRM
    3.Invoice details etc.
    2) EBP : Enterprise buyer professional, before SAP introduced SRM the e procurement is used to be done in SAP EBP.Currently we are in SAP EBP 5.0 Version
    3) SAP CCM :: Catalog Content Management. SAP CCM is to maintain catalogs.
Catalogue is a defined set of data will be published in the Itnernet (or) intranet.
If a shopping cart is to be raised you can take data from the catalogue.
in the catalog for each material , vendor ,price is there .
Once shopping cart is ordered and it is approved. in the BACKEND (SAP R/3) or  in SAP EBP
itself P.O is created  .It is a Big area

If so, than how to connect two bex queries  and develope  one single crystal report.Any other option is also fine. or else...can I create universe on 1 bex and other universe on other bex ..and go for one single webi report..
Only problem is client is particular about one single report(either crystal or webi)
if i go for webi ...I know we can use link universe option but I dont know whether it works fro OLAP environment.
Please let me know if I can link OLAp universes and go for 1 single webi report.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mahathi

You can use either CR or WebI.
In CR Designer create the report using the SAP toolbar (Create report from query) based on the 1st BEx query. Then use the Database expert (first entry in the Database menu) to add an additional connection to your 2nd BEx query (+Create new connection->SAP BW DX query). You can then join the results of the 2 different queries in the database expert also.. Please note that if you do NOT want to join the result sets, then it is more efficient to use subreports. Create two different CR reports, each based on one of the BEx queries and then use one of those as your main report and insert the other one into it as subreport. Once embedded you do not have to keep the separate .rpt file of your second report.
For Webi you must build 2 universes, each based on one of your BEx queries. In your report you can add multiple queries based on different universes. You can join the results sets here by using the Merge dimensions button in the report editor area.
    Regards,
    Stratos
PS; Keep in mind that joining a large number of rows at report level (either in CR or WebI) can cause performance problems. If this is your requirement, how many rows do you expect to get back from each individual query?

    My database is OLP system.
My question is what are the advantages and disadvantages having one single tablespace versus multiple tablespace?
Easy to maintain when you have single tablespace. but hard to track the IO issues.

Does the term "keeping all your eggs in one basket" mean anything ....Well, in the majority of cases, even when using multiple tablespaces they will be on the same storage array or same file system. So the "+all eggs in one basket+" goes a lot a deeper down the storage layer than just the top part where you deal with logical tablespace storage containers.
Absolutely. Except for the bazillion microscopic solid-state switches and a layer of rust on a spinning platter, everything else is just layers of abstraction. One's thinking and frame of reference depends on what layer of abstraction one is dealing with.
The major problem with multiple tablespace for a single application And here is where there was some 'fuzz' in the OPs question. I don't recall him specifying one TS per application. Maybe he assumed that, but I read it as one (user) TS per database.
    a) deciding the space allocation of each tablespace
    b) managing what is created in which tablespace
This comes down do an issue of micro-managing space versus simply chucking everything into a single container and let god ASM/Oracle/LUN/driver/whatever sort them out.
Issues like transportable tablespaces... separating your logical data into different containers... and the like? That is not really sufficient justification to me for having to micro-manage space for a 101 tablespaces. This simply creates a huge workload on the space management part of the database - that is complex and difficult to deal with. Free space from an underutilised (incorrectly sized) tabelspace cannot simply be moved and reallocated to a tablespace stressed for more space. Everything but...
Which is why I prefer having fewer tablespaces as this means not having to micro-manage space and continually having to wave a threatening lead pipe around to make sure that applications and developers play rigidly within the large set of strict rules of how these many tablespaces are to be used.Agreed. One can go way overboard, and a lot of this discussion hinges on the OP's intent, as I mentioned above -- one TS per ... what? My default position is one TS per application schema. Normal human users all default to one USERS ts, but don't have any quota because they don't have any reason to create objects.

  • MM-SUS and EBP-SUS in the same client

    Hi experts
I have a doubt about implementationMM-SUS and EBP-SUS in the same client, If I send a PO from MM to SUS and after send a PO from EBP to SUS to the same vendor, the vendor will be able to see 2 POs with just one logon?
As I know when I replicate a vendor from MM to SUS a Business partner is created and when I replicate a the same vendor from EBP to SUS  a new Business partner is created and are diferent BP so a user and pass diferent .
    Thanks
    Nilson

    Hi Nilson,
If i understand your scenario, you'll replicate an existing R/3 vendor to EBP. The vendor will be a direct vendor in R/3 while the same would be used as for Indirects in EBP.
Well, when you replicate the R/3 vendor to EBP, the vendor has the R/3 link in the form of Backend Logical systen name in EBP.
So when you replicate the vendor from R/3 or EBP, there will be ideally only one entry for the vendor with references to R/3 and EBP systems.
    Hope this clarifies your question.
    Cheers,

  • Clarifications on EBP-SUS and MM-SUS Scenario

    Hi !
We are planning to implement EBP-SUS and MM-SUS in one Client . Request you to help us on the following issues.
    1. While the outbound messages will not have a problem from MM & EBP, how do we route inbound messages to MM & EBP effectively. Should be handle it in XI ?? If ues, what is the best criteria .
    2. Since both the config guides for MM-SUS and EBP-SUS scenarios include transactions for transferring Vendor & Comapny Code data, how do we check duplication. For ex : if we transfer a Vendor from R/3 and subsequently try to transfer the same vendor from EBP , is there any inbuilt duplicate check ?
    3. In MM-SUS, an ASN created in SUS creates an inbound delivery is created in MM. What would happen in case of EBP-SUS i.e when an ASN is created for an EBP PO ? We are on extended classic scenario ?
4.If you do a confirmation in EBP-SUS, will a GR be generated in both EBP and subsequently in MM.
    Request yr help pl.

I guess, you must have got enough details in the SRM guides.
Anyways, better to understand the basics first,, before going in detail. I hope this will answer all your queries.

    Hi All,
We have configured EBP - SUS on SRM 7 server with extended classic scenario.PO's are transfering fine from EBP to SUS and are visible in SUS also expected follow on documents are PO response,Confirmation,Invoice. But wen we process the po and confirm all items no po response xml message is created and a local po response is created which is not transferred back to EBP.Later when we create a confirmation for the same po,it is transfered to EBP via serviceack xml message and is visible.
Finally wen v create a invoice it is also created locally and not tranferred to EBP,no xml message is created in this case too.
In XI we are using integration scenario which is based on SRM 5.5 contents.
Any kind of pointers will b appreciated.
    Thanks.
