I just bought my macbook pro 2 weeks ago and have noticed that when I go to start it up, it takes longer to power up than when I first bought it. Does anyone know why this may be and of a fix for it?
Hi. It could be that the more you pile on the HD, the longer it will take to boot. When I first bought my MBP, it took maybe 30 seconds. But as I began putting more content on the HD, it seemed to take a bit longer to boot. You may also want to consider putting your MBP in sleep mode. That's what I do with mine and it doesn't hurt at all as far as I can tell.

My iphone is gray or black it is functioning but you can not see the screen so I can not call or text or anything, I have a child that is very ill and I have to have access to a phone at all times can someone help me? It happened one other time when I plugged it in to my to listen to music. I know it is working it said something on voice control. I tried the press the circle button and the top button but the screen only turned white?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Does anyone know why a web page would suddenly pop up telling me I have a computer virus and need to call them? When I've called they said they needed access to my computer in order to fix the problem - which I didn't do. Is this legit? An Ad?

First of all, make sure that your iPhone as the most recent iOS available. Check in "Settings>General>Software Update".
One other problem could be your microphone. Does it work for anything else other than a call?

My ipod nano this morning has started to tell me the accessory (lightening to 30-pin adaptor) I use for playing it through my docking station is not supported. It worked fine up until last night. Does anyone know why this might be?
Clean any debris from the adapter, docking station connector and the connector on the Nano.

Does anyone know why or what is the reason when starting a new iMac with Lion, sometimes a gray bar appears under the Apple that begins to shade to dark as it loads OS? It does this on occasion. One time the system loaded was VERY slow and terrible colors. Pulled the plug, re-started the computer and it did not do this. As I say, its only on occasion, not every time. I noticed in the discussion page there were problems listed for 10.6 nothing for Lion.
Please advise, if possible.You should see this 4 option menu. Click on Disk Utility:
In Disk Utility, Select FIRST AID and then VERIFY and then REPAIR the disk.

does anyone know why my iphone keeps switching all of my alert tones and ringtones assigned to contacts? i restored it and it still keeps doing it and now when ever i get a txt or a phone call the tones just sound terrible. how do i fix this?
Your only chance is setting it up as new device without using the latest backup afterwards, which you already did.

when i call someone i can not hear the phone ring or the people talking. They can not hear me either. what i do notice if i select speaker then i can hear them through the speaker phone only
If there's an Apple store nearby make an appointment with the genius bar to have it checked. Be sure to sync it and back it up, as well as import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts separately (such as by sync them with iCloud) in case it needs to be replaced.

Like my header says.. I have a I Phone 4S.. with recently installed OS 7 software.. One problem has occured.. when someone calls me thier phone rings
3 to 4 times before my phone rings.. I have tested this with several family and friends calling me..

Does anyone know why my 5s screen won't dim during a call?
I really didn't notice that it wasn't dimming until I bumped my face against it during a call and it went to speaker phone. The I started paying attention and apparently the sensor isn't working properly.

Can not backup to iCloud on new iPhone 5 or my new ipad. So far apple can locate problem . Any ideas.
I am logged into Icloud on both devices. There is plenty of storage. My Iphone5 has never backed up automatically or manually. It is plugged in and on Wifi. The message is always backup did not complete. My new ipad backed up once on 10/29/12 and does exactly the same thing as my phone. If you start the backup manually it stops after 10-20 minutes and says did not complete back up. I have made sure my login password is the same on both devices....I was bumped up a level last night on Apple Support call and she could not figure it out. We have another call tonight. So far I have no backup of my contacts and do not know what the issue is.

HP scanner showing read only from Mac after software upgrade to OSX 10.9.1
