Outlook 2007 repair problem

I connect outlook 2007 with MAPI to Exchange 2010 and it's ok, i can sent mail and receive mails, but when i go to Account Option  and i make repair profile is not find, this happen in some users not all.
Why repair works for some users and for someone not

Hi,
The Inbox Repair tool (Scanpst.exe) is designed to help repair problems that are associated with personal folder (.pst) files. The
Inbox Repair tool is included on the first Microsoft Office CD-ROM. You can try to find the file referring to
KB 272227.
Besides, you can check the result when you recreate outlook profile.
If it doesn’t work, please let us know.
Thanks
Sophia Xu
On same computer, one account log in with MAPI protocol and when i use repair is all good, but other account on same computer when use repair repair gets error, i don't know where to point the problem

  • Synching Centro with Outlook 2007/Vista Problems

I hope someone can help me.
When first set up, I had no problems synching Outlook 2007 with my Centro.  All of a sudden, the phone would complete the synch but the computer would get stuck at 12 of 12 because it stopped responding.  I would then have to manually terminate Hot Synch.  Also, I would only get one synch per restart after that they could not connect.
Now, both will appear to synch as above but no data exchanges so there is no synching.  They are connected via USB.

  • Outlook 2007 Connection Problems. Works Ok in 2010

    All,
We have recently introduced a new Exchange environment to resolve a number of performance issues. The issues we are seeing include Outlook continually hanging, numerous popups saying Outlook is connecting to Exchange and egg timers when opening up meeting
invites. We use Exchange 2010 & Outlook 2007 running on a Citrix 2012 environment. Since installing the new improved higher spec exchange environment all of the issues are still showing. We have replced our virtual Exchange environment with a physical
    one with more exchange servers.
We have tested everything from a network perpective and have removed everything that could cause issues. The Citrix servers do not have to traverse any firewall / loadbalances to connect to Exchange, they are literally next to each other. We have done a
lot of testing to get to the bottom of this and one thing we have noticed is that if we use an Outlook 2010 client istead of 2007 there are no issues at all! We cannot move all of our users to 2010 due to cost.
What could this be?? How does Outllok 2010 connect to Exchange differently to 2007? By default the "Show Network Connectivity Changes" option in Outlook 2010 is disabled whereas in 2007 it is enabled. We have enabled it on 2010 so the testing is
accurate but still 2010 has no issues.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Many thanks

Are you running Outlook 2007 in cached mode?
What is the size of your profile.xml file? This issue can be fixed by deleting the empty xml or start Outlook with the /resetnavpane option.
The location for outlookprofilename.xml file in citrix is: Server\TS_Proifles\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\outlookprofilename.xml (e;g outlook.xml
If the size of outlookprofilename.xml is zero that means the outlook profile is corrupted. In such case rename the file, logoff and re-login citrix & outlook. A new outlookprofilename.xml will be created automatically.
If this doesn’t help then run OutlookProfileCleaner.

    Hi everyone,
    I have a mail system Exchange 2013 SP1, on Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have only one mail server with the Client Access and Mailbox roles Server.
    I have a Wildcard certificate type *. Mydomain.com.
All connections to the Outlook Anywhere Outlook 2010, Outook 2013 work correctly.
The ActiveSync connections are working properly, too.
But Outlook 2007 clients connecting with Outlook Anywhere asking for credentials continuously fail continuously.
    How can I solve this?
    thank you very much
Microsoft Certified IT Professional Server Administrator

    Hi,
Based on my experience, we need to set Outlook provider with the domain name if it's wildcard certificate:
    Set-OutlookProvider -Identity EXPR -CertPrincipalName msstd:*.domain.com

Thus, I recommend you try the above configuration and test the Outlook connection again.

  • Outlook 2007 sync problems

I've been able to sync my iPod touch to my Outlook 2007 calendar in the past.  I went oversea and reset my iPod to the new timezone.  Now that I'm back in the states, all my contacts on my iPod are set to the wrong time zone (I reset my iPod) to CDT. Example:  An appt. on my PC will be set for 6:00 p.m. but when I sync, it shows up on my iPod at 1:00 a.m. the next day (7 hours ahead of CDT).  I've tried restoring my iPod and that didn't help when I synced my calendar again.

  • Outlook 2007 email problem

I've got lots of old emails from 2005 through 2014 on my Comcast server, in various folders such as "sent" and other named folders there.  I can't download any of those emails into my Outlook 2007 program on my desktop computer, where I keep all my other old emails stored essentially forever.  Does anyone know how to get those emails (presently "trapped" on the Comcast server) downloaded?    I have successfully "moved" some other more recent emails from my Comcast "sent" folder to my Comcast "inbox" folder, and then those have automatically been downloaded to my Outlook folder; however, this process does not work with those older email files.   Any ideas, anyone?  Thanks!

You cannot move FOLDERS from Xfinity Connect, but you can move the emails themselves.  The directions are below.
Are you currently using POP for your other email programs or devices?  If you are, I would recommend that you switch to the IMAP server.  With Imap, you can have emails sent to specific Folders, say, in Outlook, that you create there, and set the email program to save copies of emails on the Comcast server.
    Settings for IMAP are:
    Server name: IMAP.comcast.net
    Port 993 with SSL on
    Outgoing Server remains: SMTP.comcast.net
Port remains 465 with SSL on
This server requires authentication must be checked too.
I strongly suggest that you save important email in an email program, not on the Comcast server.
Moving email from Comcast's webmail (aka Xfinify Connect) to your computer.
People want to do this for a variety of reasons, the main ones being to backup the email, or to get local copies prior to switching ISPs.
    Notes
You have to do this with an email client (like Outlook Express, Outlook, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc.).
You can only do this via POP3, and POP3 can only download email that's in the webmail Inbox.
IMPORTANT The default behavior of almost all POP3 email clients is to delete messages after downloading them. If you want copies of your email to still be available via webmail you have to configure the email client to "leave messages on server".
Different email clients have different ways of storing email. Although it's generally possible to export/import the various formats from client to client, viewing the downloaded email conveniently will always require using an email client.
    Setup
Empty out the Inboxes of both webmail (unless you're only interested in what's in the webmail Inbox) and the email client. Create Temp folders and move messages in the Inbox to the Temp folder if necessary.
Create folders in the email client that correspond to the webmail folders.
Email client config: port 995, SSL, Leave messages on server; detailed configuration steps for some common email clients can be found here: http://forums.comcast.com/t5/E-Mail-and-Xfinity-Connect-Help/E-Mail-Client-Settings-customer-generated/td-p/778889 . That doesn't address the "Leave messages on server" aspect. Best bet there is to Google on "'your email software' 'version number' + leave messages on server" (without the single or double quotes).
    How to do it
Move a folder's worth of messages into the webmail Inbox.
    Download via email client
Move messages in the client Inbox to the appropriate folder (should be as simple as CTRL-A > Move)
Move messages in the webmail Inbox back to where they were.
Move another folder's worth of messages into the webmail Inbox.
    Etc.

  • Outlook 2007 calendar - problems with recurring appointments

In general sync appears to work. However, when amendments are made to recurring appointments I am seeing two types of problem:
    1) If I DELETE one instance of a recurring appointment in Outlook it is not deleted on the iPad.
    2) If I AMEND one instance of a recurring appointment the revised appointment appears, but so does the original one (eg if the appointment was for 10:00-11:00 and I move it to 14:00-15:00 in Outlook for just one week I end up with appontments at both times on the iPad for that day.
In summary the iPad seems to have the simplistic view that recurring appointments will happen EVERY time period and doesn't seem to allow for the fact that there may be individual changes.
Is this a known bug or does this work correctly for other people?
    Nick

We have this issue at our company as well.  We have Exchange 2010 on the back end, execs with latest-model iDevices (iOS 8.1.2, iPhone 6S, iPad Air, etc.)
These execs have several monthly and weekly recurring meetings. Sometimes, they will adjust one meeting up or down a half-hour.
If done on the CEO's iPhone, it does not change his iPad or Outlook. If on his iPad, it doesn't change iPhone or Outlook.
If done via Outlook, either by him or his executive assistant (delegate editor access to calendar), outlook updates but neither iPhone.
Our Exchange admins have verified that they see the updates go from Outlook clients to Exchange and out ActiveSync.
We finally have a SyncDiagnostics profile on the iDevices, but we have to wait for the execs to make meeting changes that don't sync.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007 sync problems

Since my company recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 my E51 has been unable to sync via Mail for Exchange. It was working fine until then.
Whenever I start Outlook on my PC I get a message that mobile phone tools (specifically the 'Outl97.dll' file) cannot be loaded, has been disabled, and I need to gat an update.
I have tried to load a general software update but received a message that the phone is not supported.
    Any ideas???

When you did the upgrade to 2007 did your IT dept. re-enable the Outlook Web Access?
This is necessary for the Mail for Exchange to work correctly, if it has been enabled check the address as it might have changed too.

  • Outlook 2007 getting error when books the resources

    Hi Guys,
I have the very interested problem here. We have two offices, A and B. Each office has a couple of meeting rooms as resources listed in GAL. When office A users tried to book office A meeting rooms from outlook 2007, they got the error message
You marked "xxxxx" as a resource. You cannot schedule a meeting with "xxxxx" because you don't have permission for that account. Either enter the name as a required or optional attendee or talk to your administrator about giving
    you permission to schedule "xxxxx"
But when I login as the same user on another laptop which has outlook 2010 installed, there is no problems to book the same room at all. And when I tried to book the room in office B with outlook 2007, no problems. Comparing the settings of those two rooms
from exchange side, there is no difference. Same problems happened in all office A resources, but no effect on office B.
PS 1. Not try ask office B users book the room in office A yet.
         2. tried the different ways to book the room from Outlook 2007, and same error message at the end.
Any idea to get it fixed?
    Regards,
    David

    Hi,
Please note, it suggests to change the permission to Editor, that's because the resource mailbox requires Editor permissions for the delegate or manager that tries to modify the appointment items from the resource mailbox.
By the way, I found this:
    http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/261812-exchange-2010-meeting-room-permissions
Try the suggestion mentioned in that thread:
Try creating a profile for one of the resource rooms you are having problems with. Then log into that profile with Outlook. In Outlook navigate to Tools -> Options -> Preferences -> Calendar Options -> Resource Scheduling -> If any of the
checkboxes are checked, uncheck them, then on one of the users who got the error, now try to book the resource and see if it still errors out.
    Thanks,

  • I  have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7  PC. For several years, I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months

I  have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7  PC. For several years,
I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months ago I decided to use Mobile Me. However, there were problems with duplication of calendars and then “rogue events” – which could not be deleted – even if deleted on Outlook and on the iPhone (or both at the same time) – they would just reappear after the next synchronisation.  All other synchronisation areas (eg Contacts, Notes etc) work fine.
I have looked for help through the Apple Support Community and tried many things.  I have repaired my Outlook. I have repaired my .pst file in Windows. I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes on my PC. I have re-installed the firmware on my iPhone. I have tried many permutations on my iPhone. I have closed down all Mobile Me functions on the iPhone. I have spent upwards of 24 hours trying to solve this problem.
What am I left with? Outlook works seamlessly on my PC. My iPhone calendar now has no events from  my calendar, but does not synchronise through iTunes. Nor does it send events initiated on the iPhone to the Outlook. I am at the point of abandoning iPhones and iPads altogether.  I need to have a properly synchronising calendar on my phone.  Do you have any suggestions?

In the control panel goto the "Lenovo - Power Manager" and click the battery tab, there is a maintenance button in there that will let you change the charging profile for your battery.   (from memory, so exact wording may be off)
The lower the numbers you use there, the longer the battery *should* last.    These batteries degrade faster at higher charge levels, however storing them at too low of levels is also not good for them... I've read that 40% is optimal, but just not realistic if you use your computer.

  • Problems with Outlook 2007 and icloud v2.1.1

    Hi
I'm a plumber and sparky in the UK and I have been a user of Mobile me for a number of years to sync my Iphone diary with my Outlook 2007 diary since the days when i had an IPhone 3. Effectively this allows me to be updated with new or cancelled appointments whilst i'm out and about working and when i finish a job i update my iphone diary which in turn updates my outlook diary and my wife, who runs the office, can then invoice based on what i have updated. All worked well until recently. Then along came Icloud and mobile me was no more. The first version of Icloud control panel worked just the same as Mobileme control panel and we had no problems then version 2.1.1 came out and suddenly strange things started to happen. Firstly the curser would not highlight, on Outlook, any details to allow us to format or copy text. Then the notes section would no longer print if these notes were updated or changed on the pc although they would if they were updated on the iphone.
I contacted Microsoft about the issue and was told that as my software was more than 90 day old i would have to pay for suppor so i declined their kind offer and then called Apple where i spoke with a very nice support lady who had never encountered this problem before. I told her that i had tried all the usual things like "repair " the Outlook installation and  deleting bits from the registry file, a forum had what to do, but still the problem persisted. She then told me that i should uninstall Icloud Control panel and then re-install it which i did and bingo suddenly it appeared to work correctly however when i merged the icloud diary with the diary on my pc the problem came back.
The reason i'm writing this is to say that i managed to find the first version of Icloud control panel in my download folder so i unistalled version 2.1.1 and installed version 1.0.0 and my system is back up and running correctly.  so if you're haveing a similar problem go back to an earlier version of the control panel, when it did work, and you should be ok. For the apple people who read through these posting please sort this bug out before the next update as if the problem returns when i do an update in a few months time i may well scream.
I run Outlook 2007 on a windown 7 PC that's a good 3 years old. My Iphone is an Iphone 4 running iOS5
    regards

Having used Sun Mail & Calendar for years our users subscribe to a number of calendars, these show up in outlook in the left hand pane and are selectable to view, which syncs the calendar into outlook - all well and good.
Now the major problem, when syncing another persons calendar to view availability etc, all the reminders get sent to the user viewing the calendar as well as going to the owner - where we have users that subscribe to around 20-30 calendars thats alot of other peoples reminders that pop up on the screen !This is a known issue - bug #6603810 - "Outlook Connector shows popup reminders in Outlook 2007 for Subscribed Calendars - need to turn off".
Outlook 2007 supports reminders in non-default calendars which is why you are now seeing this issue and not with say Outlook 2003.
The bug is fixed in patch 125361-05 - you must log a sun support request to get a copy of the patch.

  • Sync problems with Outlook 2007

I had some problems with syncing to outlook 2007: the agenda and contacts where not syncing anymore. I have a 32G 2nd gen iPod Touch (4.1) and using iTunes 10.0.1.22.
Details: some weeks ago suddenly the address and contacts items did not sync anymore in both directions. No error messages appeared after sync, so all looked fine. I found this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 and noticed that creating a new user account on the PC did work. So, first I tried reinstalling iTunes (because when creating a new user account on the PC it also creates a new iTunes session): no result. Then I repaired outlook 2007 (go to control panel – software - and select change/delete at office 2007) and guess what: the problem was resolved. I just want to share this with you, that repairing outlook could help resolving this problem. Maybe this also works for other versions outlook.
    Good luck!

    Hello,
I receive email on my device from two addresses: 1) @sprint.blackberry.net and 2) @charter.net.  When I was having problems similar to those you are experiencing, I had these two addresses listed under Default Services - Calendar (CICAl) - Messaging (CMIME).  These addresses were @sprint.blacberry.net and @charter.net. Once I followed the steps previously referenced, only one email address(@sprint.blackberry.net) appeared under the (CICAI) and (CMMIE) default setting.  Reference to @charter.net was removed.  My syncs have worked correctly since then; however, I only two way synce with the device and Outlooks.  I also continue to get emails from both addresses without a problem.
If you don't mind giving up the Yahoo calendar, I would do the same.  If you want to continue using the Yahoo calendar, I'm guessing that it must be selected in the Default Services - Calendar (CICAI) before performing a sync.  Likewise for your @sprint.blackberry.net address; it also must be selected in the Default Services prior to performing a device to Outlook sync.
    I hope this helps.

  • I am unable to sync my Ipod touch with Outlook 2007, an operation I was able to do with no problem using Outlook 2002.

When I plug my ipod touch into my desktop computer to synchronise it, and in particular with Outlook 2007, I get the error message "Itunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services". Reconnect or try again. All appropriate boxes have been ticked where possible, the callendar and contacts boxes being greyed out and ticking not possible.  When using Outlook 2002 this box enabled sync to be carried out with Outlook without a problem.  I have uninstalled both Outlook and Itunes and reset my Ipod Touch but get the same results no matter what I do.  Apple claim that the Ipod touch is compatible with Outlook 2007 but it appears not to be the case. I am using the latest Ipod software of 4.2.1.  Can anyone help me.

Tough spot if you want Apple only SW, no idea where you can get where you want without some decent 3rd party SW, which as a rule outshines Apple's SW by light years.

  • I have a problem with syncing my calander with outlook 2007 for iPhone 5s, ipad 1st and 3rd generation. Contacts work find, and new and changed enteries in outlook all go to the devices. Device Cal changes do not appear in Outlook

Over the past year or so, I have been unable to fully sync my iPads with outlook 2007 calander. Now I have an iPhone 5s, and really need the calander fixed. Contacts seem to sync in both directions, and any new or changed cal enteries in outlook appear on the device. The problem is that any new or changed calander enteries do not make ip back to outlook 2007, so there is only one-way syncing (down to the device) but no return, for calander entries.
I am now using the latest itunes, which I followed the recommendation delete all apple stuff, and then reinstall, I have used scanpst, built new PSts, etc, am I am stuck.
    Not using icloud either.
Not using wi-fi, purely USB cabale sync
    Running on Windows XP, SP3
Now IOS 7.0.2 on iPhone and 1 iPad (3rd gen)

    Kept searching, found this: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23321067#23321067
Bottom line: if you follow the recommendation to delte all itunes software and re-install, it don't work (at least for me and many others).
However, purge the data (certain data) and the data syncs.
I think the folder is Apple Computer\Preferences and it needs to be purged.
To be sure, maybe someone can rename the folder on their system, then run itunes and see if it syncs ok.
The idea is to figure out the least minimum stuff that needs to be touched in order to get a working solution than having to purge all Apple software and then rebuild it all over again.
I had purged other files out of inpatience, but did not want to purge entire folders because I had Safari, and Quicktime software, and did not want to wipe that out, Plus there were software downloads and device backups in some of those folders. But I really believe it is the preferences folder, and I would like someone with the same problem to try it and verify it.
Once the preferences folder is removed/renamed (taken out of the picture) pluggin in the device and go to the INFO (I think that is the iTunes tab) page where you select calanders, contacts, email accounts, etc. They will all be unchecked (because you wiped out the preferences) and you need to reselect them. Then run your sync.
What I had done in testing was create something on the device, and modify something else on the device looking to see what got up to Outlook. I got the good news that something good was happening when I got the conflict message from iTunes, and it showed both Outlook and iPhone, showing the calander entry I changed on the iPhone. Never got that before. After the sync, everything looked good the few test entries were uploaded to outlook.
Now, My Cal is 10L+ enteries, and I am doing 100% sync (I don't select the option to ignore enteries over x days). I also have 1400+ contacts. Before this change, the sync of contacts & calanders took a couple of hours (and only operated ONE-WAY, now the syn is taking less than 5 minutes for this one step.
I am a Windows XP Professional user, x32 bit system, using Outlook 2007, iTunes 11.1.1.11, I am standalone (no exchange server) and have about 10 email accounts (mainly POP) defined. I am using only one calander in outlook, but I have Outlook and 2 gmail calanders in the iPhone.
I am running iPhone 5s and iPad 3rd Gen both with IOS 7.0.2 and a 1st generation iPad with the latest version of IOS 5.x.
If anyone else has success, I'd like to hear, along with your experience.
