Printer and airport in the same hub

This worked 2 days ago- but that was before the ISP put in a new satellite dish and the airport needed to have an IP set manually- now it doesn't work and I'm trying to find a solution in system preferences.. First off the printer is fine- the lights are on- the internal test works. The Powerbook is fine- the lights are on- it works. The airport is on the lights are on- it works. The hub is on- it works. The cable works.
The players:
Powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 with airport card
Airport Extreme base station with ethernet cable to hub
HP Color laserjet 5m with ethernet cable to hub
HP 755 CM with ethernet cable to hub
Epson 2200 with ethernet cable to hub
imac with ethernet cable to hub running 9.2
G4 tower running 10.3.9 with airport card
Desired outcome:
Print on the HP Color laserjet 5M from the Powerbook G4 and keep the airport connection.
I am able to
EITHER
connect to the internet via airport from the Powerbook G4 with the network airport settins Airport ID:automatic,tcp/ip using DHCP,and appletalk on and when I attempt to print I get a "printer not responding"
OR
Turn off Airport- create a new setting in network of tc/ip using DHCP,appletalk active, and ethernet configure automatically AND plug the ethernet cable into the powerbook directly and I lose all internet connections.
Previously (before the new manual IP on the airport) I was able to print from the powerbook without a direct ethernet connection and without turning off airport.
I would like to do this again.
Apple Care has told me there is no support for printer connections to Airport except from a USB connection directly to the base station - interesting- but completely unusable in my situation- might as well just throw the base station out into the snow and keep ethernet only connections at that stage.

Is it possible to post a screen grab on this board?

Yes. There may be a hiccup due to bandwidth use if you print while streaming. But the answer is still yes.

Can not connect to printer and internet at the same time

I use my airport to connect to the internet via the ethernet port. Internet was working fine until I connected my printer to airport via its USB port. Now the printer works fine but I can't connect to the internet using the same connection.
I can still connect to the same server using its wireless service, but I have to keep hitting the drop down list in the menu bar to select that connection. Can't I just keep connected to the same connection without having to switch back and forth? I thought these mac products were supposed to be all user friendly... I don't have time for this.

The only way to print and use the internet (or university network) at the same time is to do one of the following:
(1) Connect the printer via USB to your computer.
(2) Connect the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) via Ethernet to the university's network and then configure the AEBS to act as a bridge (not sharing a single IP address).
The AEBS can NOT wirelessly join the network.

Printing is not correct. I can print to either my HP Photosmart printer or a pdf printer and I get the same thing. Strange looking letters and spacing but not normal reading print. Is there a way to set up my printing in version 4 beta?

Using a Router and Airport at the same time

I have a problem. I have a wireless setup in my house and I need a faster internet connection for my podcast. Since wireless has 1 Gigabit Ethernet (I think) I need 100 Gigabit Ethernet through a regular Ethernet cable (I think). Can I plug a regular wired router into my internet reciever and then plug my airport base station into the router. Also can I plug an ETHERNET Cable into the router and into my laptop. I need the wireless so my iMac G3 can still acess the internet. Is this all possible?

Virtually all internet connections are slow in comparison to network speeds and therefore increasing the speed of the internet network will have a negligible impact on the speed of any internet activity.

Yes and as stated uncheck distribute IP addresses on the Airport base station, I am presuming you have an Airport Express, as the Airport Extreme Base Station already has the LAN port you would require.

Payment Advice Issue- Print and fax at the same time

Hi,
Currently payment advices are being sent to business partners (vendors) thorugh fax/email. This is because process module Z_SAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040 is active in the system.
What I want to do is to be able to also print the payment advices even if vendor has communication data in the master data. Program RFFoEDI1 is used with a custom form. IDOCS are sent correctly to bank and remittance advices are faxed to vendor successfully. With business wanting hard copies of remittance advices, when I try to reprint after first payment run is done and faxes sent running RFFOEDI1 and the payment document number, system says no records selected. I searched in OSS and all the notes related to this issue are already in our system.
I have tried hard to solve this but no luck even I have done this before with other print programs but no RFFOEDI1. One option is to remove the fax/email addresses from vendor which allows me to print but client does not want to remove fax numbers from vendor master.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Look into BTE 2050, through which you could possibly e-mail an additional copy to a generic company e-mail as back up electronic filing of RA. And then you can print it if need to print them on Adhoc basis

Using Huawei E220 and Airport at the same time?

I use a Huawei E220 USB-modem to connect to internet. I also have a Time Capsule with a wireless network, but it's not connected to internet.
When I acivate Airport to connect to Time Capsule, Internet Connection decides to overlook my Huawei connection and dub the AirPort network as my internet connection. Even if there is no internet there. How can I convince Internet Connection to use the Huawei for internet if it is connected?

Use the options in System Preferences -> Network to set the service order (via the buttons in the lower left corner) such that the USB modem is above the AirPort interface. That way the OS will use that interface first while still using the AirPort to talk to the Time Capsule on its separate network.

When you change to the new router, did you re-run the CD to re-set the new SSID and password to the printer.
Otherwise your iPad will not be able "talk" to your printer.

After doing a software update to 10.6.6 it stopped working. Forewarned is forearmed – it appears that Apple is finally enforcing the MacBook Air system requirement.

no - you simply have to select the option to print mucliples of a photo on a page
select the photo and go to the file menu ==> print - select the printer, paper size and print size and click customize - in the tool bar click on the settings icon (the gear looking thingy) and select "multiple of the same photo per page" and the preview will reflect this option showing a full page of the selected size photos

I'm really proud of my editing on a particular image. I want to print the before and after on the same page, just like I can see the before and after side-by-side in the Develop mode.

Yes but you will need to make a virtual copy by going to the menu:
Photo >> Create Virtual Copy
Then open copy 2 in the Develop module and from the history panel change the setting to the time of import (usually the bottom of the list) or use the re-set button to get back to the original file from camera.
You can then select copy 1 & 2 and go to the Print module to set up your page with both images.

Cannot connect to Net, have done for last 12 months no problem, I have other apple products that are connecting to the same hub happily. The hub is seen and the signal is strong, it just doesn't connect. I have reset the network settings with no joy.

Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power to it for 30 seconds.

Maybe I haven't been precise enough in the first question: When the ipod touch is in the universal doc and plays music, is it htan possible possible to stream music to an APE and hear music that comes from universal doc by chinch cable?
And on the scond: Do you think one could name the two APE in the very same way? Maybe that would help to stream to two APE in the very same moment ..?
