Problem to creating users in to Presence 9.1.

Hello,
Presence: 9.1.1.20000-5
The presence don't can creation the users, after reset of the presence go back functionality, but in log found the below errors:

The errors point to connectivity issues between the Pub and Sub, which it seems was resolved by the server reboot that you performed.

But when I try to create user from the DA console, its not asking the email information for the user. I have a service package allocated to the domain also 'StandardUserMailCalendar'. whats the problem?
When I see the list of default service packages through DA console, i have observed that IMAP access is 'disabled' for all the service packages?
what might be the problem?

Have you patched recently or is this a fresh installation?
Did you install the sample service packages during the install/configuration?
When I see the list of default service packages through DA console, i have observed that IMAP access is 'disabled' for all the service packages?If you use the 'bronze' service package during the creation of a new user, does this then ask for mail details (mail-hostname etc.) during the user-wizard stage?
Have you tried a different browser (e.g. Mozilla Firefox)?

If you want to enable write access from the UME to the ABAP backend
system, assign the backend role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION to the UME
communication user (you do not need to remove other roles that are assigned to the user).
Ensure that the profile for the role is generated and assigned to the user. Check in transaction SU01 that the generated profile for the role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION appears in the section "Profiles" for the the
communication user.

Problem in creating users with password restrictions

I have enabled the following option in the Authentication>Enterprise tab of CMC.
Must contain at least N Characters and specified N as 7
Enforce mixed-case passwords
However I am able to create user with password as abcd.
Please suggest.

I might be missing something but the rule applies to users changing their pw not administrators creating accounts. If the administrator sets this rule it would be thought/assumed that they would enforce their own rule when creating accounts. The users however should not be able to select 4 character passwords.
I'll run some tests and see if I find out anything different.
Tested this on XIR2 SP4 and XI 3.0 The rules apply to the user not the administrator creating the account.
So create an account while the 7 character pw is enabled. By default the user logs in with the pw (any amount of characters) and is prompted to change their pw. They cannot choose anything less than 7 characters. So unless an administrator creates an account with a password less than 7 characters AND deselects the option to force a pw change. All new users will be forced to select a 7 character password.
This is by design. If it forced the administrator to create accounts without a 7 character pw they could simply deselect the options(as administrators) so there is no security in forcing this.

Problem with creating User Defined Fields

Hello,
I have a big problem on one customers db. Everytime when user logs in SBO, he got immediatley after login message, that db structure was modified and user must click OK to continue (close all form - in this case is still no form opened).
I tried to uninstall all addons to be sure that its not addon related but when is only clean SBO there, the message still pops up. It seems that somewhere in db is stored that this message must pops up.
When I copied this db localy from custromer, the message still occurs.
Is here someone who met this prolem and solved it?

Madhan: Just FYI - Petr is one of the Senior Implementation and SDK consultants who has spent a long time on the product and I am 100% sure that he knows the basics you are pointing to very well.

UME Create user not possible

Portal 7.0 sp10 2004s
ECC 6.0 sp 10 ERP 2005
Portal is connected to ABAP backend for user authenticity,
Data source configuration file is dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml which should allow users created in the portal to be in the UME database only.
Problem, When creating users on the Portal they are automatically being created with a datasource of ABAP and are created in the ECC abap backend.
I have tried creating the users using the Visual Admin tool and it also created the users in the ECC abap backend
I have in the past been able to create users in the UME only in fact I could not create Backend ABAP users from the POrtal
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestion, I am still having problems
I changed the SAPJSF user that communicates from the portal to the abap backend to read only. I got an error, it is still trying to create an ABAP backend user
An error occurred in the persistence. The original message (possibly not translated) was: "BAPI_USER_CREATE1@RS2CLNT100: ID=01, NUMBER=491, MESSAGE=You are not authorized to create users in group". Contact your system administrator
From the SAP Note 718383 it states the following:
Supported changes to the data source configuration
The allowed change options depend on the currently active data source configuration. You can determine the current data source configuration with the J2EE ConfigTool.
In "cluster-data -> Global server configuration -> services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service" check the property "ume.persistence.data_source_configuration".
Depending on the data source configuration file you use, the following changes are possible:
dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml
No change is possible.
This configuration supports all usages (especially SAP Exchange Infrastructure and SAP Enterprise Portal) by making ABAP users and ABAP roles available as users and groups in the UME, and supports the creation of new groups in the UME (which are then stored in the local database) as well.

NW2004s EP create user fails; error in persistence

I am trying to create user and add roles, however whenever I attempt to save, I get an error message that states there is an error in persistence, please contact administrator.
Has anyone seen this error before?

I had the similar problem while creating users. I was able to create users in ABAP but not in JAVA.When I logged into UME using J2EE_ADMIN, and tried creating a user it gave an error.
"Error occured in the Persistence, Contact your administrator"
I found a solution for the error.
Check the roles for SAPJSF user on the ABAP
system
If the role assigned is SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO change it to SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION.
Restart your SAP Server and try whether u get the same error.
If the situation persists,
Check dataSourceConfiguration XML file in configtool.
Refer SAP Note 718383 for the procedure.

Problem while creating a new user on solaris

I have a SUN ultra machine. Solaris 2.6 is installed on this machine.
I have successfully created a new user in this machine using "admintool"
Problem is I'm getting error messages when I'm trying to update NIS DATABASE.
I'm doing-
#cd /var/yp
#/usr/ccs/bin/make
and the response is----

I had the a similar problem with new users on sloaris 8.
I wasn't able to add new users and change the shell variable while using admintool.
Login back into the console would simply not happen.
All i've been able to find is that changing the users' variable - i.e. .login or .profile to match that of a working existing user (root),
would skip over the problems.
Other variables in the skeleton files were helpful. I suggest you take a look at them.

Problem in creating a user in Identity management

hi all
i work on portal 7.0 and am involved in the branding of the portal.
when i try to create an user in Identity mgt the following error message is displayed..
..current user has user creation permissions in th UME , but cannot create users in the backend systems(datasource).Original and possibly untranslated message was "no active writeable datasource found for usr craetion,check your permissions configuration".

Hi Chaitanya,
I think you are using a LDAP or SAP system to store users. The problem is when you are defining the datasource configuration file. This might be in *read only * mode.
You can check this by System Admin -> System Configuration -> UME Configuration ->Data Sources tab..
You check wether you data source config file is in read only mode or not. If this file is in read only mode you cannot create users from the front end
You need to create users from LDAP or SAP system what ever may be your back end.

Hi..my problem slightly similar.
I created one new user, and didn't select anything from "Public Groups Assignment" and "Privilege Assignment" for him.
I expect the user will be a public user.
But, when he try to logged in the portal,
He cannot see all the PORTLETS related to database values..
All he can see just LINKS -that all in my portal right now beside the report from database that the user cannot see :)
So, what did i do wrong?

Problem with Notifications on Create User/ Change User Password

Hello,
I'm having a problem sending emails to users when an account is created in OIM.
I added a notification to the user and user's manager on the Create User task in the Xellerate User process definition but the emails are not being sent.
I know that if I create another task with the purpose of sending emails and invoke it through the response in the Create User task, it will work.
My aim is to avoid adding tasks for something OIM should be able to do OOTB.
I'm also unable to send an email when a password is updated.. I did the same thing as for the Create User and I know the task (Change User Password) is being invoked by looking at the logs but the emails aren't being sent.
Has anyone ran into such problems?
I'm having these problems in the Xellerate User process task.. i've added notifications in other process tasks (mainly approval tasks) and they are working fine.

I am just confuse with your response.Have you added the "Password Updated" task in xellerate user provisioning process?
Now if you changing password in OIM profile it will trigger "Change User Password" task not the "Password Updated" task and even if you add "Password Updated" task on Xellerate User provisioning task you can't see this task in Resource Details.
Now assume if you added your notification on "Password Updated" task of any resource which user is provisioned to even then when you change oim password it only trigger "Change User Password" task.So try to have your notification on "Change User Password" task.
Please clarify so that I can response correctly.
