Production Order Reservation for Available Quantity?

Hi Gurus:
We have the following situation.
Production order is created for material A.  Component Z on this order requires 100 units.  10 Units are available in stock for Batch M.  Reservation is created for 100 units of Batch M.  Availablility Check confirms 10 units.
How can we get the reservation to match what is available and stop allocating the required quantity if it is not available?
Thanks for your help.
Nic

It seems the correct batches are being picked based on batch determination....it is only the reservation which seems to be differing.  As in the example I gave the availability check proposed the correct batch and the correct amount which matched what was currently available in inventory...
However, the reservation itself was for the full quantity even though it was not available.
So the concern is strictly with the reservation not equaling what is actually available and instead matching the full requirement.
Hope that helps?
Nic

  • Production Order reservation(ETO) not deleting after PGI (VL01N)

    Hi All,
    Greetings!!!
A query, regarding ETO (Project system)
ETO scenario, For production, reservation will be create through WBS element. After production , If I do delivery and PGI,  production order reservation is not deleting.
Same material If I do delivery(LP) through CNS0, then order reservation is going to delete after PGI. But Sales order price is not copying to Billing If I follow this process.
Is there any copy controls to flow the sales price to billing when delivery happens through CNS0. If not
Which requirement class and movement type I need to determine in Sales order.
    Please do needful.
    Very High,
    Thanks,
    Prasad.

    This is standard SAP
SAP process is to deliver project stock using project delivery , where in PGI happens against the reservation created & deletes RESERVATION.
wherein if you do PGI for order ( sale order or prod order ) , it happens against project stock ( spe stk Q - 281 movement )  i.e., against WBS element
I faced the same for sale order delivery of project stock .
we are selecting FINAL Issue indicator through user exit which triggers when PGI is clicked
This will delete RESERVATION from stock overview
hope this helps ...Let me know if you found any alternative

  • Production Order reservation deletion.

Can I delete the production order resevration directly in the other than active version in apo ?

    Hi,
You cannot delete the production order reservation using standard deletion transactions but a BAPI can be used for deleting the prod order reservation. Existing functionality enables deletion of planned orders.

  • Block Production Order Creation for Particular Order Type

    Hi Experts,
I want to disable the production order creation for a particular order type XX01 however there are some existing orders for this order type which should be processed further.
In other words my objective is to -
    1. Block new Production order XX01 creation -
    2. Processing of order type XX01 should be possible.
Is there standard setting available to achieve this or user exist is the only option..
    Regards,

    Hi
You can use the user exit PPCO0006 and its function mdoule EXIT_SAPLCOZF_003 to archive that. That function module is called when the user click enter after inputting the material/plant/order type in CO01 then you just need to check the imported value CAUFVD_IMP-AUART which contains the inputted order type then rasise an error message to tell user that the order type cannot be used due to certain reason. The source code need to be written there is very simple.

  • Reverse the production order even when some quantity has been invoiced

    Dear Sapgurus,
How to reverse the production order when the some quantity of that production order has been sent through invoice.
    regards
    muralidhar.t

    Dear,
In that case you can not reverse the the full order quantity you can only reverse the quantity which are in unrestricted storage loaction as a stock.
You can cancle it through MB31 with 102 movement. If auto GR is there then you need to cancle it through CO13. After that also check the COGI and CO1P.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Automatic production order creation for remaining sales order quantity

    Hi All,
My requirement is to create automatic production order for a particular material when the available quantity ( Stock in MD04) is less than the sales order / Delivery quantity.Automatic production order should only be created for deficit quantity.
For example if i have stock of material A 100. I have recieved a sales order for 120 pieces. Now automatic production order should be created for 20 pieces only.
Any inputs/ suggestions, please let me know.
    Thanks in advance !!
    regards
    Pawan.

    Hi Pawan
In Material Master MM01 / MM02, you need to maintain 20 in MRP3 --> Planning --> Strategy Group.
If you maintain this, items can be produced only against sale order you are creating.
Dont forget to reward if this helps you.

  • Production order report for changes in component & quantity

    Dear all Hi,
Is there any standard report/functionality in SAP PP to see changes made to the production order once it is created. This is the client's requirement, changes that are made to components, quantities, operations & dates of a production order should be displayed in a report. Please do guide me, thanks in advance.

    Hi,
One Option could be Order Change Management (OCM).
The second could be , use the modification which is provide by SAP in SAP note 390635.
(This OSS Note was suggested by Sabine Trosse number of times in the Forum, there were number of success feedbacks after using this.)
    Hope this helps..

  • Production order Reservations

    Hi All,
I have created production order(Status: CRTD). System is automatically creating reservation number for the order.
Is there any way to cancell this reservation against production order without deleting / releasing & performing TECO against the production order.
I tried MB22, but system gives an error message that reservation created automatically. No manual changes allowed.
    Looking forward to valuable inputs.
    Regards,
    Pankaj

    Hi Prasobh,
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
    The requirement is as under:-
Say we have a common component being used in two production order whose Unrestricted stock is 110 units.
On time axis we have Production order 01 & Production order 02 in CRTD stage. Both are making use of the same component under respective B.O.M. with 100 units & availability chk happens during creation & release stage independently.
If I want to release Prod Order 01 it will give msg: All components available but will throw warning msg of missing parts if i try to release Prod order 02.
In case due to some priority (say customer preference), I want to hold Prod order 01 & is in need of Prod Order 02 then as rightly said by you either I should make component qty = 0 in Prod order 01 & then try to release Prod order02. Or
I should nullify reservations against Prod order 01.
Another method I tried, but failed to met my expectations is doing CO11N with final confirmation & Clear open reservations enabled . It is done after releasing the prod. order & with zero yield, zero activities & zero comp. qty's.
What exactly I am looking for:
Is there a t.code with which I can either cancell, jumble or give priority to the reservations.
Moreover, does the system automatically blocks the quantity for the production order on first come & first out basis.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
    Regards,
    Pankaj

  • Batch determination in production order automatically for component

    Hi Experts
Please understand the scenario and conclude the results
Few of RM is having Batch management where Stock are lying into different production shop floor location XXXX and those RM is used into one production order of Finished Goods where System will not picking batch into production order , that we are putting by checking availability and than putting correct Shop floor Storage location and correct Batch in which stock is lying.
now the above activity i want to perform through automatic batch determination which will system pick by default in which stock is exist in shop floor location. please suggest me step by step procedures for the same. few idea i have but i need clear guidelines....
    Thanks in advance..
    Pankaj Agarwal

    Pankaj,
You can define the production storage location in BOM component details under Status/Lng Text or in MRP2  production storage location so that system will do the reservation by default for this production storage location and also good issue will be from same storage location.
Against this reservation you can transfer the stock from stores to shopfloor.
Check below SAP note for more information

  • How to restrict production order creation for the WBS

    Dear Gurus,
Our client is is using PS & PP. So that as per current procedure material required for the particular project will be uploaded into the CJ20N i.e. it will be assigned to the network.
So that on that basis production orders will be created with the transaction co10. But in this case there is no linking between the orders created & quantity required in the project.
So is there any restriction that by using co10 we will be able to create the production order for the material which is enterd in to the wbs with not exceeding the quantity also.
    With Regards...
    Abhay

    Dear Abhi,
But why do you require to create produciton order manually through co10?
Any how you must running MRP in MD51 where in you will get your planned orders which you can convert to production orders!
    Thanks.

  • Query based on production order, receipt for production and issue for produc

hello  sap experts i need a query on
this is my query but iam not getting correct result could anypne help out  any relation is wrong in this pls verify it and reply asap .
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], T0.[ItemCode], T0.[PlannedQty], T1.[ItemCode], T1.[PlannedQty], T3.[Quantity], T5.[Quantity]
    FROM OWOR T0  INNER JOIN WOR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry, OIGN T2 INNER JOIN IGN1 T3 ON T2.DocEntry = T3.DocEntry, OIGE T4 INNER JOIN IGE1 T5 ON T4.DocEntry = T5.DocEntry
    WHERE T1.[ItemCode]   =  T3.[ItemCode] and  T1.[ItemCode]   =  T5.[ItemCode] and T0.[PostDate] between [%0] and [%1]
    GROUP BY T0.[DocNum], T0.[ItemCode], T0.[PlannedQty], T1.[ItemCode], T1.[PlannedQty], T3.[Quantity], T5.[Quantity]
    ORDER BY T0.[DocNum]
    regards
    Jenny

    Hi,
    Here is another suggestion.
    select t0.docnum,
    case
    when t0.status = 'P' then 'Planned'
    when t0.status = 'R' then 'Released'
    when t0.status = 'L' then 'Closed'
    when t0.status = 'C' then 'Cancelled'
else t0.status end as 'Production Order Status',
t0.ItemCode as 'Parent Item', t0.PlannedQty as 'Planned Parent Item',
T1.ItemCode as 'Component Item', T1.PlannedQty as 'Planned Component Item',
    (select T2.Quantity
    from ign1 t2
where t0.itemcode=t2.itemcode and t0.docentry = t2.baseentry) as 'Received End Product',
    case
    when t1.issuetype = 'B' then 'Backflush'
    when t1.issuetype = 'M' then convert(varchar(15), t3.quantity)
    end as 'Issued Component Item'
    FROM OWOR T0
    INNER JOIN WOR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    left join ige1 t3 on t1.docentry = t3.baseentry and
    t1.linenum = t3.baseline
Somehow I get the feeling it would make more sense to have it in 2 separate reports. But if it works for you it's good.
Let us know how it goes and if these are indeed the reports you are looking for.

  • MRP Production Orders one for One

    Hello All,
I have a case that when MRP creates an order for ITEM1 I need MRP to also create an order for the component requirement quantity of the order regardless of unrestricted stock.
    Example
    ITEM1 I have a production order for 5000 which has a component item ITEM2 to use 1000.
ITEM2 is a semi-finished good and requires a production for it to be make also.
I need MRP to create an planned order for ITEM2 for 1000 (even if I have 1000 in inventory ).
These order are always made together and left over inventory needs to be used for something else.
    Thanks

I found it by using the Special procurement 52 under the bom.
