Production order Reservations

Hi All,
I have created production order(Status: CRTD). System is automatically creating reservation number for the order.
Is there any way to cancell this reservation against production order without deleting / releasing & performing TECO against the production order.
I tried MB22, but system gives an error message that reservation created automatically. No manual changes allowed.
Looking forward to valuable inputs.
Regards,
Pankaj

Hi Prasobh,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
The requirement is as under:-
Say we have a common component being used in two production order whose Unrestricted stock is 110 units.
On time axis we have Production order 01 & Production order 02 in CRTD stage. Both are making use of the same component under respective B.O.M. with 100 units & availability chk happens during creation & release stage independently.
If I want to release Prod Order 01 it will give msg: All components available but will throw warning msg of missing parts if i try to release Prod order 02.
In case due to some priority (say customer preference), I want to hold Prod order 01 & is in need of Prod Order 02 then as rightly said by you either I should make component qty = 0 in Prod order 01 & then try to release Prod order02. Or
I should nullify reservations against Prod order 01.
Another method I tried, but failed to met my expectations is doing CO11N with final confirmation & Clear open reservations enabled . It is done after releasing the prod. order & with zero yield, zero activities & zero comp. qty's.
What exactly I am looking for:
Is there a t.code with which I can either cancell, jumble or give priority to the reservations.
Moreover, does the system automatically blocks the quantity for the production order on first come & first out basis.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Pankaj

  • Production Order reservation(ETO) not deleting after PGI (VL01N)

    Hi All,
    Greetings!!!
A query, regarding ETO (Project system)
ETO scenario, For production, reservation will be create through WBS element. After production , If I do delivery and PGI,  production order reservation is not deleting.
Same material If I do delivery(LP) through CNS0, then order reservation is going to delete after PGI. But Sales order price is not copying to Billing If I follow this process.
Is there any copy controls to flow the sales price to billing when delivery happens through CNS0. If not
Which requirement class and movement type I need to determine in Sales order.
    Please do needful.
    Very High,
    Thanks,
    Prasad.

    This is standard SAP
SAP process is to deliver project stock using project delivery , where in PGI happens against the reservation created & deletes RESERVATION.
wherein if you do PGI for order ( sale order or prod order ) , it happens against project stock ( spe stk Q - 281 movement )  i.e., against WBS element
I faced the same for sale order delivery of project stock .
we are selecting FINAL Issue indicator through user exit which triggers when PGI is clicked
This will delete RESERVATION from stock overview
hope this helps ...Let me know if you found any alternative

  • Production Order reservation deletion.

Can I delete the production order resevration directly in the other than active version in apo ?

    Hi,
You cannot delete the production order reservation using standard deletion transactions but a BAPI can be used for deleting the prod order reservation. Existing functionality enables deletion of planned orders.

  • Production Order Reservation for Available Quantity?

    Hi Gurus:
    We have the following situation.
Production order is created for material A.  Component Z on this order requires 100 units.  10 Units are available in stock for Batch M.  Reservation is created for 100 units of Batch M.  Availablility Check confirms 10 units.
How can we get the reservation to match what is available and stop allocating the required quantity if it is not available?
    Thanks for your help.
    Nic

It seems the correct batches are being picked based on batch determination....it is only the reservation which seems to be differing.  As in the example I gave the availability check proposed the correct batch and the correct amount which matched what was currently available in inventory...
However, the reservation itself was for the full quantity even though it was not available.
So the concern is strictly with the reservation not equaling what is actually available and instead matching the full requirement.
    Hope that helps?

  • Delete production order reservations

    Hi SAP GURU,
we have reservations open for process order and the order is marked for deletion. We are not able to display that order, but we can veiw that order in table.
so can you please suggest how to cancel/ delete the order reservation.
    Thanks,
    SAP PQ....

    Dear SAP PQ,
Do you mean to say the order status is DLF and you are not able to see the process order using COR3?
If your query is for the deletion flag set process orders, still you are able to see the reservations at table level means,it's a normal
behaviour. But you cant perform any GI using this reservation number related to the process order.
In order to completely delete this data from the system means, the actual deletion process is then performed by a reorganization
    program.
    Check and revert

  • Prevent creation of reservation for selected components on Production order

    Hello all,
I am aware that the production order reservation creation is dependant on the order type, but is it possible to avoid the reservation creation for few components on the order ? Any techincal way? We want to issue our components to a different batch than the one reserved during the production order creation.
Any help will be greatly apprciated.
    Thanks,
    Swetha

Your material is get reserved for Production order as per the Order start date & Order release. What you can do is make the start date of the Production order & release it. If any other production order are already there & you can re set the ATP of that production order.
Say there is one production order starting 2 days after & your all raw material is blocked for this production order. And the other production is having date after this now you want to give ATP from 1st order to 2nd order. For this 1st make the start date of 2nd prod order before 1st. Then Go to COMAC select both Prod Ord & GO ATP with check reset ATP. You see that ATP is passed from 1st Prd order tp 2nd.

  • Excess material for production order

    Hi,
I have issue in SAP, a particular  production order unexpectedly propose very high material usage. Let's say, that actual usage per production order is 10pcs only, but SAP propose to use 15pcs.
Please help me to understand what need to be check.
    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hi Suman,
From your message i could understand that you are trying to create a production order for Finished materail.
Now if semifinished material is not available in stock, then you need to Confirm/GR its relevant production order.
If you are just testing some scenario, then you can use txn "MB1C" movement type "561" to increase the stock of the semifinished.
Generally goods issue is done with referance to Production order/Reservation,this would not allow additional issue. However unplanned issue is possible with just referance to order. This would affect the order cost and the cost difference is likely to get settled to Material.
    Hope this helps..

  • Booking Costs after closing Production order

    Hi all,
There is a production order for which all components have been issued, plus GR done. Finally all variances were calculated and settlement completed. This is an MTO order.
Now I need to know how to book additional costs against this order for the following scenarios:
    1. Time booking
    2. Addition of a materials (Users forgot to add a material, but on the shop floor it was consumed)
What would be the most logical business solution for the above two situations. Do we need to reverse settlement in such a case or not?
Plus additionally I would like to know why does KKAX show WIP costs on production orders already settled and closed?
    Thnks
    Regards,
    G. Coelho

    Dear Mr.Godwin ,
Let me explain you the various stage when you add extra material/Time  in a production order :
1.Good Issue aginst production order reservation completed  -Status GMPS  but operations are not Confirmed -CNF
2.Production Order Final Confirmation done  but Final Issue Indicator not marked or Clear Reservation not marked  at that time .Through MIGO you can issue the extra material if they are added in the Production Order -Componenet Overview .
All the cost will be shown as variance in Production Order -Cost anaysis -Select Costing trend -Select required field for information .
3.You can add extra hrs only in CO11N not any other Txn based on the Define Confirmation Parametre set up -OPK4 (not over or under delivery tolerence in general valid settings )
4.You can add extra material just after order is Created (CRTD), Relased(REL)  at Componenet-Overview -select line itm and assing at operation with item categoery L
You can't add extra material and Time in the following state in production process :
1.Goods Issue with Final Issue Indicator -GMPS
2.Production Order Technical Complete for settlement -TECO
3.Production Order Confirmation done -CNF with clear reservation .
4.Production Order is under Settlement process duing the month end or order by order .
Best option what we follow :
1.Update the Production Order with fresh item which are physically issuesd from Store in SAP  to capture in the same reservation nuber
2.Compare COO2-Dcuments Goods Movement  and MB25-Open reservation for production order , which are required to issue through MIGO.
3.Perform MIGO for the fresh item which are added in the production order .
4.Follow BackFalshin of compoenent during CO11N if you have Back Falshing activated in MMR/Work Centre
5.Apply Enhancement for production  order confirmation to avoid the issue .
CONFPP01            PP order conf.: Determine customer specific default values
CONFPP02            PP order conf.: Customer specific input checks 1
CONFPP03            PP order conf.: Cust. specific check after op. selection
CONFPP04            PP order conf.: Customer specific input checks 2

  • Alternate material issue against production order if stock is zero

    Hi,
I have one requirement  we have 3 material codes
X, Y and Z.  Material X is present in the Bom of ABC  material Y and Z are not in any BOM  but both those codes are use for procurement of material and can be use insted of X  but due to some requirement as material of different make  we dont want to combine the stock of all.
Now as per BOM when material for ABC is issue as per BOM  the 'X'  will get issue   but in case  the X stock is zero  system should check stock of Y   and if it is avalibale  then it should issue from Y  insted of X and if Y stock is zero  system should check for Z  if stock is there system should issue from Z.
    can this map in system.
    regards,
    zafar

    Hi,
While maintaining BOM for FG, maintain all materials X, Y & Z with same qty.
For material line items Y & Z, maintain "AltItemGroup" at Item Detail level.
    Here enter any key for e.g. "AL" and Press enter then it will ask for following;
    Priority
    Strategy - (1 - Manual maintenance/by usage probability OR 2 - 100% check)
    Usage prob.
After maintaining all these just check the effect in transaction production order, reservation, confirmation.

  • Report to check open reservations for production orders where GI not posted

    Hi experts,
Can we get reservation details from any report/ table for production order where material has not been issued, report should also display the value of the reserved material.
I could not find desired details in RESB (it has price but not value) and MB25.
Thanks in advance, useful ansers will be rewarded.
    Thnx
    Anand

    Hello Anand,
there is no report but you may use the production order info system with list "components" and create a layout contaning the issued quantity and/or the final issue indicator. With a correct sorting, the list should show all orders with non-issued components at the top.
    Regards, Andreas

  • Open the reservation for the Production order

    Hi,
I have post the GI for Production order MB1A with movement type 261 from 100 peaces components. I would like to cancel a partial quantity of components from this posting (about 30 peaces). After cancel it the reservation for the production order has to be open for 30 peaces of components.
I've canceled it through MB1A and mtype 262 but the reservations weren't open and in the PO (component overview there is always the sign"the Final Issue for This Reservation").
Which T.code and mtype could I use.
    Thanks
    Dede

    Hi,
Have you cancelled the movement (of 30 pieces) by selecting the "with reference" option from the menu?
If not, then reverse the current cancellation document. Then again cancel the 261 movemtn by selecting the with refernce button from the menu. It will sove the problem.
    Check & revert.

    Rohit.

  • Avoiding creation of reservation during creation of production order

    Dear gurus,
when we create a production order for a semifinshed material there are reservations created for the raw material used to produce the semifinished material ,what if I what to avoid the creation of material reservation .
I have tried out with setting in opl8 wherein we specify the creation of reservation on release of production order or on creation or never but it is not working otu please if u can help me out.
I what to create manual reservation for production orders......Is it possible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
.As long as , you have BOM components are in stock  , system will generate reservation for them when you create Production order  where as if any of the component is not available in the stock then it will generate PR based on the material master set up because when you are creating production order or creating planned order through MRP , system performs material availablity check in the back ground and generate either reservation or PR automatically .
Secondly, you can not create Manual Reservation  , See the Std SAP message .Message no. M7 126
You entered an order whose category only permits automatic reservations. The following order categories do not allow manual reservations:
    10 PP production order
    20 network
    30 maintenance order
    40 batch order (process manufacturing)
    50 inspection lot.
So conclusion is you can't stop creation of reseravtion .Curious to know why you do not want reservation for PO ?
    Hope this is clear

  • Reserve batch number at creating of production order

    Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to reserve batch numbers when creating a production order. And when the production order is released and create the receipt, the receipt to use that batch number reserved at the moment of the creation of the PO.
How could I do this using the SDK?
    Best regards,
    Irina

    Hi,
    Thank you for your answer.
But, if I "reserve" the batches in a UDF in the production order, it might be that by the time the receipt from production is added those batch numbers to be used already.
    Any other ideas?
    Thank you,
