Promised Date Calculation based on Need by Date and Transit Time

Hi,
I have created PO with NBD as D25 (Day 25) and approved it. This means that i need the goods to be at my premisis by D25.
Now the requirement is
Promised date in my PO should be calculated to D25 - Transit Time. So that supplier will be notified D25-Transit time.
Or Is there any workaround to overcome this.
Thanks,
Jey

Where you are capturing your lead time. You can do it in item master.
Once it is there, write a personalization to calculate the promised date and update the field.
Thanks,

  • Interest calculation based on Net Due Date

    Hi guys: I want the interest calculation based on net due date and not document date or posting date.
    I tried to check the box "ALWAYS CALCULATE INT FROM NET DUE DATE in prepare item interest calculation step, but system gives me message
    "Do not select "Calc.intrst from net due date" for this int.calc.type
    Message no. F7128"
    Here are my questions:
    1- how can i make the system to calculate interest only after the item is due for payment - right now its calculating anyday after the document date
    2- Is this the correct place in configuration to do this?  (ALWAYS CALCULATE INT FROM NET DUE DATE )
    3- Also in T code FINT, how can i run interest posting for only one item rather than all that show up in test run? I tried selecting/highlighting only one but it posts all.
    thanks much
    brian

    HI,
    The system always calculates the interest from the document date of the invoice,
    as of my knowledge there is no setting for the interest calculation from the net due date, so
    what u need to do is when u are running the open item interest run u specify the period of only the date
    from the net due date to required date as of u.
    if u  want to calculate the interest to paticular invoice and  having two invoices
    then u can run  as per the document date and other thing is u can block the invoice for dunnig.

  • Rolling 30 Day Calculation Based on the Weekend Date

    Hi Guys,
    I am trying to calculate a sum of rolling 30 day based on the weekend date. The table I am going to query has a date column that only has weekend date(Saturdays only). Based on that I have to calculate the formula for rolling 30 days. I am using the formula to RelativeDate formula to do this calculation.
    ToDate(FormatDate(RelativeDate(CurrentDate();-DayNumberOfWeek(CurrentDate() -  this formula is to get the last Sat of the week.(Previous Week)
    =RelativeDate([Previous_Week];-30) This is to get the rolling 30 days based of the last Saturday of the week.
    Here is where I face the problem and would need your suggestion -
    when I do a sum using the previous date and rolling 30 day I am getting an error
    =sum([Acc]) Where [Week Ending] Between([Previous_Week];[Rolling 30 Days])
    Error-  Missing or bad operand in Where expression.
    Is there any other formula I could use?
    Thanks for your help in advance,
    Jitan

    Hi,
    You are missing paranthesis () in your formula. Try using
    =sum([Acc]) Where ( [Week Ending] Between([Previous_Week];[Rolling 30 Days]) )

  • Moving average price calculation based on year to date figures

    Hello,
    I've been working for months on the stock valuation at month end closing for the Finance department. We discover a situation where the moving average price is not calculated as we expected.
    The situation is as follows:
    2 purchase orders for the same material at different periods and with different purchase order prices
    the invoice of the first pruchase order has been recorded after the good receipts of the 2 purchase orders with purchase price variance, good issues have been recorded between the good receipts and the first invoice receipt, therefore the stock quantity is lower than the quantity invoiced
    the invoice of the second purchase order has been recorded as well with price purchase variance after the first invoice and after good issues, therefore the stock quantity is lower than the quantity invoiced.

    Could you tell me if you know how to set up the calculation based on this formula (Intial stock value at MAP + Year to date Purchasing value) divided by (intial stock quantity + quantity purchased)?
    Thank you in advance

    Arti,
    MBEWH table will get you the MAP of a material monthwise,I guess you need to get the logic which will use those details to arrive on MAP for a paritcular date.

  • Retirement Date Calculation based on Date Of Birth

    Hi All,
    We have 11.1.2.2 PSPB Application where we have requirement to calculate "Retirement date" (in the format dd/mm/yyyy) based on employee's "Date Of Birth", for which i tried with @DateRoll function, but no luck. For time being we tried "Retirement Year" which was successful.
    "Retirement Year"=@INT ("Date Of Birth"/10000)+60;
    For Example: If Employee's Date of Birth is 7/11/1946 thru above script i got 2006 as his "Retirement Year", now i need "Retirement Date" as 6/11/2006 which im not getting. I tried in all ways like:
    1) "Retirement Date"=@DateRoll ("Date Of Birth",DP_YEAR,1); got output as 31/03/5127 for "Date Of Birth" 01/01/1975
    2)"Retirement Date"= @FORMATDATE ("yyyyddmm",@DateRoll ("Date Of Birth",DP_YEAR,1)); no luck.
    3)"Retirement Date"=@DATEDIFF (@Today(),"Date Of Birth",DP_YEAR)); no luck.
    Also all the Date functions like @DateRoll,@FromatDate,@DateDiff etc returns number representing the date between January 1, 1970 and Dec 31, 2037, is that true? If yes, what functions needs to be used for  "Date of Birth" above the range.
    Please suggest ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Date calculations based on working days

    I need to add date calculations to a worksheet to show the time elapsed between two actions.
    Just a straightforward subtraction works fine, but what I really need to be able to do is calculate the number of working days between the two point (as something taking 5 days over Christmas with the 2 bank holidays is different equivalent to something taking 3 days in a normal week)
    At the moment I'm exporting the data into excel for analysis of this, but would really like to be able to do it in Disco so that the end users can go straight to the report using viewer, rather than having to do the conversion for them.
    Is this possible?
    Cheers

    Hi,
    Every thing is possible, the Q is how complicated is it....
    My suggestion is to create a table with all the dates of the non-working days for ex:
    create a table with all the MON-THURSDAYS, union to this table the holidays you know of such as christmas and so on.
    After getting this table you can create a function that returns the number of working days between 1 date to another by subtracting the days exists in this table.
    I started with that, you are more then welcome to get ahead with it and let us know what happened...
    create table holiday
    D_date date,
    d_day varchar2(20)
    create or replace procedure holiday_proc is
    d_date date;
    begin
    d_date := trunc(sysdate);
    while d_date<'01-jan-2010'
    loop
    if to_char(trunc(d_date),'Day') not in ('Saturday ','Sunday ') then
    INSERT INTO Holiday (d_date,d_day)
    (select trunc(d_date),to_char(trunc(d_date),'Day') from dual);
    end if;
    d_date := d_date+1;
    end loop;
    commit;
    end holiday_proc;

    a22. Processing time - 20 days

    Observation : Before purchase order creation, the scheduled ship date on SO was 28-Apr-2011 (item lead time of 25 days).
    Then the PO is created as in point a3 and ASCP plan was run. The sales order line for item A is unscheduled and Rescheduled, the scheduled ship date becomes 25-Apr-2011.

  • Bodhi Linux Arch-based build, need dev(s) and supporting team members

    Hello forum,
         First, apologies if I have posted this topic in the wrong thread. I am writing to inquire as to whether or not there are any other Arch users and/or developers that would be interested in assisting Jeff Hoogland with his new distro, Bodhi Linux, and working on an Arch-based build. Bodhi Linux is a Ubuntu-based distribution that uses Enlightenment as the desktop environment and is focused on promoting the light weight, beauty, and speed of Enlightenment while remaining minimalist. Jeff has plans to release a Fedora-based version of Bodhi in the future, as well as an Arch-based build, but he would need some help, specifically with the OS disc itself. He can work on the Enlightenment side of things. Is there anyone interested in working on such a project? If you haven't heard of Bodhi Linux already, please visit http://bodhilinux.com/

    Greg_S. wrote:ANOKNUSA, you think it's wasted energy? "Throw-away distro" is it?
    Sorry if this seems unduly harsh.  I wasn't trying to troll, but merely reiterating what others here have said.  The Bodhi Linux developers are certainly within their right to direct their efforts in any way they wish.  However, they have two serious conceptual flaws they need to consider and overcome:
    1)  Are the devs planning on releasing both x86 and AMD64 versions of Bodhi?  Even if not, this still means that once the project gets going, they'll need to build the entire E17 compilation three times a week; if so, they'll need to do so six times a week.  This is very tedious and time-consuming for a group of people working in their spare time, with no financial backing or chance for compensation.  Naturally, it leaves very little time to maintain the rest of the repos, discuss/research/pursue further development, track bug reports, etc.  The latter is worth noting, since
    2)  The devs will need to keep track of bugs and development roadmaps for three different distros, each with their own kernel patches, boot/init protocols, etc.  They'll need to build separate packages and "tune" separate repos for each spin, provide a forum(s) able to handle questions regarding each spin, with devs and moderators specializing in each spin.
    This is an awful lot of work to simply "showcase E17 and give it the 'love' it deserves."  The Enlightenment devs are the ones providing the weekly snapshots on SVN; the Bodhi devs just package them.  If promotion of Enlightenment DR17 is the ultimate goal, it could be better accomplished by establishing and promoting a PPA for Ubuntu, a PKGBUILD or PUR for Arch, and a (name of unofficial repo here) for Fedora.  This would make an up-to-date version of E17 readily available, and require only promotion and packaging on the part of the maintainers.  Bug reports could be sent directly to the Enlightenment folks with no need for an intermediary, as well as to the appropriate distro, rather than sending them to Bodhi which must then check to see if the problem is one extant in the base distro concerned before applying efforts to fix the problem.  Just think: you get a bug report and begin to reseach it, only to find out it's a problem you inherited from Ubuntu which in turn inherited it From Debian [unstable].  Where does that leave you?  If you do manage to fix the problem, then the only decent thing to do would be to share whatever patch/code changes you made with the folks upstream anyway.
    I ain't trying to be a killjoy here, and I'm definitely not trying to discourage the commitment and spirit of contribution the Bodhi folks obviously have; just the opposite.  Besides, it does look like you found at least one Archer willing to help you guys, so whatever ends up happening, I wish you all good luck with it.

  • Delivery date and transit time

    Hello,
    we have such a problem that we want to model vendor delivery transportation time in Purchase order and also in MRP run.
    That is, vendor confirms delivery date, but that date is that when goods are at vendor premises ready for delivery.
    So there is several days delivery time in between until goods are really in our premises.
    And our planner orders transportation from third-party and only then we know what is the real delivery date.
    SAP's Planned delivery time contains both (making of goods by vendor and transport) and thus it not suitable for our purposes due the fact that vendor is not responsible for transportation.
    Could you help and tell is it somehow possible to set transit time separately to purchase order? So that we have delivery date for vendor and another delivery date for transportation and that date is relevant for materials planning??
    In that way we could plan our purchasing more accurately.
    Thank you in advance.
    -Juha

    Hi Juha,
    Do you use Routes (Transaction 0VTC)?  If so - you can specify a 'Transit Duration' value on the Route.
    Routes link 'Transporation Zones'.  So for example if your Third-Party Logistics provider belongs to 'Transportaion Zone' A and your ordering Plant belongs to 'Transportation Zone' B - then you can have a Route A <-> B with a Transit Duration Value maintained on it.
    This may be a possibility given the specifics of your scenario.
    Hope this helps.

  • Delivery date calculation based on route in VA02

    Hi.
    I am unable to find the code for the calculation of dates in schedule lines in VA02. For plant 0201 the delivery date in schedule lines is coming wrong. I think it is not getting calculated according to the route. In addition, it is not taking route from APO but taking it from R3. I have done the debugging several times and looked into the program SAPMV45A also but still could not find the code for the calculation. Can you please guide me on this?

  • Help with date calculation based on office hours

    Hi,
    could you guys point me which way should I think of in PL/SQL, or maybe SQL to calculate a date using not 24 hours day, but office hours.
    Let me give you an example
    Office hours are between 9am till 5pm
    I receive a case - registration time - 14.03.2013 4pm, and I'm supposed to calculate the Due date, let's say Registration time + 10hours.
    Normaly I would do "registration time" + 10hours, but I can't. I cannot use 24 hours window for the calculation, but 9am - 5pm window.
    So the "Due timestamp" would be = "16.3.2013 10am". Which is : 1 hour from 14.03. + 8hours from 15.3. + 1 hour from 16.3.
    Thanks for any ideas.

    Hi,
    A user-defined function would be very handy for that. Foir example
    add_office_hours ( in_start_date DATE
                     , in_num_hours  NUMBER
    RETURN DATE
    DETERMINISTIC ...First, copy in_start_date to a local variable, start_date, and check if start_date is within office hours. If not, change it to the beginning of the next business day.
    Add in_num_hours to start_date. Is the result before 5pm on the same day?
    If so, the function is finished. Return that date.
    If not, find how much past 5pm the result is, and recurse (that is, have the function call itself with a new, later in_start_date and a new, smaller in_num_hours). If you prefer, you can use a loop instead of recursion.
    How do you treat weekend and holidays?
    Would you want to call the function with a negative number of hours?

    Post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for a table that you use for testing. The table should have start_date, num_hours and correct_result_date columns.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.3.0).

  • VAT should post based on PO date or GR date not based on MIRO posting date

    Hi,
    Based on posting date in Invoice(MIRO) & condition record validity period, VAT is calculated & posting on invoice posting.
    Condition record for VAT condition type with tax code(T9):
    01.01.2011 to 31.01.2011-------> 4%
    01.02.2011 to 28.02.2011------->12%
    01.03.2011 to 31.03.2011------->14.5%
    PO created and GR done on February & invoive done on March and syatem calculated VAT amount perfactly based on validity period maintained in condition recod and invoice posted.
    But requirement is  system should post invoice VAT amount as mentioned in the PO ( based on PO date) or GR date to post during Invoice posting in MIRO

  • Date Calculations - Adding 1 to the day and adjusting month/year

    Hi all,
    I have a date field in MM/ DD/ YYYY format. If I add 1 to the DD (day) field, and I hit the end
    of the month/year I need to adjust the MM and YYYY accordingly.
    Is there is an existing class/method in the JAVA API that would handle somthing like this??
    If so , I can't find it..... I don't want to re-invent the wheel creating a Date Handling routine just
    for this program.......
    Thanks very much

    This is overkill... (and sorry that this post is over a year later than the original post... hopefully somebody will benefit from it :)
    Calendar.getInstance() by default instanciates a GregorianCalendar
    object. (check the src).
    Therefore:
    Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance();
    cal.setTime(d); // where d = java.util.Date or java.sql.Timestamp
    cal.add(Calendar.DATE, numberOfDays);
    return cal.getTime();
    public static java.util.Date
    adjustDateBy(java.util.Date d, int numberOfDays) {
    java.util.GregorianCalendar cal = new
    java.util.GregorianCalendar();
         cal.setTime(d);
    cal.add(java.util.GregorianCalendar.DATE,
    numberOfDays);
         return cal.getTime();

  • APEX4: How to create a report whose data is based on user input date fields

    Using Apex 4 I've to create a report that allows the user to input two date and shows a report between the date range.
    How can I do this?
    Thank you.

    This has nothing to do with apex 4.0. If you create a report using this query:
    SELECT *
      FROM emp
    WHERE hiredate BETWEEN NVL (TO_DATE (:p1_date_from, 'mm/dd/yyyy'), hiredate)
                        AND NVL (TO_DATE (:p1_date_to, 'mm/dd/yyyy'), hiredate)and create two date picker items with names P1_DATE_FROM and P1_DATE_TO (take care of using the right date format), your report will show all records by default and those that match after you fill in the date items.

  • Simple date calculation: add days to a date

    Hi,
    I'm looking for a function module in APO that can simply add a number of days to a date.
    I know I can code (date + days) but would rather a module if possible.
    Thks,
    William

    I know FM /SAPAPO/MSDP_SNPHEU_DAYS_ADD is used in SNP ... but not sure it is suitable for you.
