PRS-T1 wishlist

I think there are a few features which do not require big changes in the firmware which would enhance the product's functionality:
1. Add arrow keys to the on-screen keyboard. Correcting a typing error is difficult because putting the insertion point in the right place without the stylus is not easy. Alternatively, make the page turn keys function as arrow keys while typing.
2. Show the time when pressing the menu button not only on the home screen but everywhere.
3. Add sharing functionality to facebook and twitter in books and browser.
4. Improve Reader for PC. Lots of bugs present. Example: selecting all books in the reader and choosing copy to library doesn't work.
5. Add an "article mode" to the browser like the Kindle browser.
6. Improve fonts by including more unicode characters.
These would make the PRS-T1 a much better product.

All of the above ESPECIALLY the tap for page turning ... who on earth though it a good design idea to have a swipe to turn?
Some browser improvements would be nice
Also an option to display battery % .. that meter is really hard to read accurately (for us old folks) maybe show it under "device Info"
Oh and the current time on the status bar without have to do that menu/tap would be nice
Indicator on books listing if a book is a member of a collection
lots more but that will do for now

Hi Friends,
Can anybody tell me what is the meaning of open PR/RFQ and closed PRs/RFQs?
In SPRO>MM>Purchasing-->Reporting, I can define scope and selection parameter for PO and RFQ. But I cant find scope and selection parameter for PR.
Please advice hoe to define scope and selection parameters for PRs.
In ME5A, when I select close PRs, it shows the same PRs when i dont select "close PR" button.
Please advice.

An item of a purchase requisition is only regarded as Closed if the requested order quantity has been included in a purchase order.
You can also set an item to Closed manually. <b>This item will then not be taken into account by the materials planning and control system.</b>
You can set the Closed indicator manually at the following points (it can later be cancelled if necessary):
When changing a purchase requisition, on the item detail screen
When creating a purchase order referencing a requisition, on the item detail screen of the PO
You can still create purchase orders by referencing a requisition if this indicator has been set in the requisition concerned.
The indicator can also be set in the case of automatic PO generation from purchase requisitions. On the initial screen of the requisition, you can specify that the requisition is to count as closed as soon as an associated purchase order has been generated, even if the complete quantity requested has not been ordered, for example (Set reqs. to "closed" indicator).

Stock transfer PRs are not getting created in APO

Hi,
I have a plant-to-plant transfer is configured using special procurement type. When APO creates stock.PRs , it does not provide any numbers to PRs and they are not getting trasnfered to R3. CIF model for PIR & POs are running good.
In CIF post processing these PRs as stuck and I see " Vendor master data does not exist for plant A" . There is vendor master data created for plant A in R3 and material info record also exists.
How to de-bug this post processing queue to see what is missing in vendor master data?

Can you explain in detail your scenario..you say plant A so I suppose there is plant named B in your scenario. which one is the source location and which one destination location?
In Stock transfer from plant to plant scenario, key is to have correct settings for the system to do source determination.
Assuming plant A as destination and plant B as source. First, The material should be maintained at both the plants.
You need to have a purchasing info record(ME11) linking your material and the source plant B.
I assume you are using external procurement type in your material master. Special procurement type 40 (stock transfer)should be maintained in material master.
Then the system creates a STReq and PurReq using the source plant B. For the system to do this source determination should happen. To verify that..you can check the following...
When you transfer the purchasing info record, system automatically generates the external procurement relationships with source location as plant B, destination location as plant A and info record reference.
When you transfer material master data, the system auto'lly generates transportation lanes between plant A and plant B. (keep in mind transportation lanes should be manually created here)
So in essence you have to check if all the above things are done by the system.

-AT&T’s EDGE cellular network: "excruciatingly slow"
-Making calls can be a 6 step process if phone is off.

-Add Field entries made under Contacts editing should be stored so user can easily use the entry again
-Contacts need a default Comments or Notes label
-In Contacts, user should be able to move/sort/arrange custom labels to their liking
-option to hear sounds every time you press a button, not only keyboard
-ability to choose sound for a particular function, for example, say you didn’t like the “New Voicemail” sound, you should be able to change it like you can do in a Treo
-certain photos won’t show up ONLY in “Add Photo” mode when editing Contacts, you just get a black screen
-iPhoto should not come to front of screen when syncing (it does for me in a Leopard seed I’m using)
-Ability to check for new mail every minute, not a minimum of 15!
-Option to keep current screen on when phone is locked for a certain amount of time, like a Treo
-Wallpaper slideshow and video capability
If Apple thinks that they can intentionally leave “key” features out of the iPhone just to make us think that the iPhone2 is a “significant update”, then Apple isn’t the company I thought it was. Make your phone the “best” it can possibly be for the time it comes out. Don’t leave out “standard” smartphone technology that will make people think twice about trashing their Treo or Blackberry. Adding true GPS or upgrading the internal memory is a different story, but things like the inability to copy and paste, the inability to record video, and the inability to use voice dialing should definitely not be issues with iPhone’s release, especially due to the fact that Apple had more than six months to test the thing. I really hope Apple fixes a lot of these “flaws” immediately or else iPhone won’t be as successful and as respected as it could have been.

Report to View all PRs against WBS Elements

Hi,
I ran the tcode ME5A to display all PR's by WBS Element, but the problem is that the field WBS Element is not shown in the report.
The Change Layout option does not display this field WBS Element.
Is there a way to show this field in ME5A or is there a standard report to display all PRs in system with WBS Element field in report.

Hi,
In ME5A, Selection Screen click on Dynamic Selection Icon, there drill down on PR Account assignment, you will get an option of WBS element, double click on that, now you can enter you WBS element there and look for PR's.

Open/closed PRs

Hi,
What exactly is an open PR and how does it differ from a closed PR?
How can we close open PRs? (or are there automatic ways to close PRs)
And what are the general rules(things to be kept in mind) before closing PRs?

The system by default allows you to make 'n' no. of POs from a single PR even when the quantity in the PR is exhausted(i.e full quantity in the requisition has been ordered in the PO.
If u want to stop user from creating Po with ref. to such PR
U can either tick indivudual PR as a Closed or do customizing as follows
but customizing allow only one time Po creation and restrict user creating Po with ref. to bal. PR even thogh hole Qty. is not used
eg.If PR if of 100 qty u have created po for only 50.
If u do customization system will not allow u to creat po for next 50
This is more usefull in MRP scenarion as Qty of PR is huge. and u can not manualy put deletion indicators

Goto SE91 and ensure the availabilty of message number 076 with message class as 06
Maintain the message number in the Attributes of system messages in the PO
Make it as error message and process to generate more PO per PRS

Hi SAP Gurus,
Pls Help me in Finding some Important Reports
like,
1, List of POs created with PRs only and list Of POs created with out PRs
2, List of POs created with RFQ only and list Of POs created with out RFQs
3, List of only those POs for which GR is Made and Invoice pending.
4, List of only those POs for which GR is Made and Invoice pending.
5 list of vendors for whom after GR,
No invoice is made,
Partial Invoice is made
and those for which complete invoice is made,
and any other Important Management Report that can be Usefull to Management.
pls Respond as it is urgent.

MRP - PRs being generated along with Schedule lines

Problem statement - PRs also getting generated alongwith schedule lines in MRP.
We have 'PD' MRP type set up for externally procured material with 'F'. I had set up to generate schedule line using the sourcelist. and during the planning run MD03, I am selecting the following values
Create PR - '2' Purchase requisitions in the open period (any value in the three generates a PR/Planned order in the open period)
Delivery Schedules - 3 Schedule lines.
The client requires only generation of schedule lines. How can I get this done.

For MRP to create the schedule lines automatically, please change to the following settings.
1. Create Scheduling agreement for the vendor,Agreement type LP.
2. In ME03, Source List: Maintain MRP = 2 Record relevant to MRP. Sched. lines generated automatically.
3. Run MRP

Wishlist for Next Belle Update

I absolutely love my Nokia 701 running Belle! And while it may be the best phone I've ever had, I'd really like to see the improvements listed below as part of a future software update.
1. Improved Keyboard/Predictive Text
It's hard to type like a speed demon on this keyboard. The reason is predictive text automatically guesses the word you are trying to type - often times incorrectly. You can always turn it off, but that can cause problems as well. It would be a huge help if predictive text works the way it does in other phone OS's. They give you a choice of 4 to 5 words that the word you are typing could possibly be. And you choose which one you want, instead of the phone guessing for you. I find typing to be faster and more accurate when using such a system.
2. Improved Wifi Stability
Others have mentioned this issue on different Belle handsets, so I'm leaning toward this being a software issue. Wifi reception is poor on my Nokia 701 Belle when compared to my old E71 or N8. Frequent disconnects are the norm, even with powersave disabled.
3. Wifi Indicator in Status Bar
The current indicator has 2 visual settings - On and Off. It would be helpful if one could see the signal strength right in the status bar, without having to open the notification area and clicking on wifi connections.
4. Improved E-mail Client
- With the ability to choose which IMAP folder you want sent mail, junk, trash etc to sync to. Right now when I send mail, it automatically goes into the phone's Sent folder, instead of the Sent folder on the IMAP server. To add to the inconvenience, there is no way to move items in that Sent folder of your phone directly into the proper one on the server. The only workaround I've found is to BCC myself, then move that BCC'ed email into the proper Sent folder on the server. That's way too many steps.
- Sent mail to show the recipient, instead of just the sender. What good is it to show the sender anyway? I know who is sending the mail...ME
- The ability to "view" attachments. This isn't the same as downloading and opening attachments. Iphone's, Android's and even Symbian's own Mobile Documents app all have the ability to view an attachment without downloading the complete file. It's quicker and I find it renders the attachment more accurately.
-The ability to have more than one Exchange ActiveSync account for supporting multiple calendars.
5. Expired Certificate's
Please please please find a solution for this. The workaround of setting the phone back to an older date no longer works. Checking "all" under Software Installation & turning off the online certificate check does nothing to help either.
6. Calendar Widget
Needs more than just your next upcoming event. At least 3 or more upcoming events would be very helpful.
7. Profiles Widget
To activate any new profile settings you created, you have to click the widget, then click All Profile Settings, then click the profile you want, then click Activate, then back out of it. That's 5 clicks for something that should only take 2. It would be much easier if the profile you created was in the same list as the four default profiles that come with the phone.

Ok, let's try to keep this thread alive.
Updated my C7-00 to belle over a week ago now, and toying with it I'm now writing my wishlist under this thread also. And will do the same probably to many other threads until I see some "official" thread started by Nokia's employees where they actually want to hear what we would like belle to be. And comment in there.
And here's a free advice to Nokia staff, even I really hate to tell someone how to do they job.
Somebody should take a pen and punch of paper. Browse this forum and whenever see a wish for feature, write it down and mark every support for it. Same as if some feature is wished to be gone. When done, make a list of all the features supported/unsupported in konsensus, and even those that started a debate.
Then, take the list to R&D with instructions to make wanted features happen, to ditch unwanted features and make controversial features optional. Easy as a pie.
My humble list:
- Different size widgets. Clock, calendar, email etc.
- Bookmarks available as a shortcut on homescreen
- "Mosaic" view for homescreens, so we can go to directly desired homescreen and not have to swipe through all the homescreens between. Minimize all futile work.
- Automated and adjustable online mode for homescreen widgets. Or atleast manual version which we had in Anna. I could let widgets to keep connections active all the time, or manually put off the mobile data and wifi, but I shouldn't have to do that and I don't want to do that. Because I would have to put them on again for every time I want to surf the net. Having to do that, it only misses the ancient tone of 56k modem dialing tone to make the feel of regression perfect.
- When I exit email-app, it really closes, and not stay on in the background. I don't need email-app to stay on in the background, 'cause I use the email-widget to check my mail. Now, when entering to any received mail and then moving it to a folder or deleting it throws me back to homescreen and leaves the email-app on. And I have enter it again to shut it off, or close it through open application menu.
Plus every other succestion made by others that would increase my possibilities to modify, customize, adjust and personalize my phone by my needs and desire.
I really like the new smoothness of my phone. Occasional freezes which I had with Anna are practically gone so improvements there. Ability to place shortcuts and widgets more freely on homescreens is a very wellcome feature. Fact that widgets CAN come in many sizes is a big improvement.

Multiple Account Assignment details for Service PRs

       I have developed a RFC for creating PRs. For multiple service PRs, multiple services are getting created but account assignment details getting created only for the first service line item. Iu2019m using BAPI_REQUISISTION_CREATE. Please provide me a solution.

Where did the iTunes Store Wishlist go?

What happened to the wishlist? It was in the store, a link on the right hand side of the homepage not long ago. You can also still click the button in the down arrow next to the buy button for songs to "Add to Wishlist."

In the Itunes Wishlist there is no price button that you can psuh to buy the items. So I cant buy my whole wishlist without doing it all seperatly and I dont know the total price of all the items. Please help!

Both the button and the total cost appear to have been removed in the current version of iTunes - I don't have them either and other people have posted about it as well. You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe they'll be added back in a future update : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

POs created with reference to PRs

Dear All
I want PR item valuation price is to be copied in to the PO item as net price, when this PO item is being created with reference to a PR item.
This is required for both materials PR items and Service PR items
Presently for material PRs, system is coping the prices from material master, whereas for services no prices are copied as I am not following any service master.
I want prices directly from PR item. Is this possible in SAP (ECC 6.0)?

1. Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Authorization Management > Define Function Authorizations for Buyers > Function Authorizations: Purchase Order > Here "New Entries" and define Function Authorization Key as "01" and give description.
OR use T. Code - OMET
Here under "General parameters" subscreen, cctivate "Adopt PO Price" indicator and select "Enter conditions"
In "Possible ref. objects", select "W/o reference" otherwise reference documents (for e.g. PR, RFQ, etc...) for PO creation will become mandatory.
2. Now go to SU01 > Enter User ID > Parameters Tab > Here for Parameter ID EFB i.e. Function Authorization: Purchase Order, maintain value "01" and check in PO, PR will become mandatory for that user.
3. Now during creation of PR in ME51N, under "Valuation" Tab, you will get option for PO Price Adoption as Net or Gross. Select as per your requirement and it will copy Price to PO.

PRs generated every day for consignment stock

Hi all,
we have schedualiing agreemet in place for some of our consingment stock but we are fadng issue that every day system generates PR for some of those materials for no reason.Ithese materials are MRP relevant.

If scheduling agreements have been set up for the consignment materials, the schedule lines should have been created instead of PRs.
Do check your source list for the affected materials; ensure that the scheduling document and line items are entered. Also ensure that '2' is entered under the MRP relevancy field.
Other things you can check include the validity date of the source list.
