Saving space in table
Hi,
Any idea on how you got into this situation ?
i have storage problem in table. when i delete row in table. deleted rows also take space. how will release that space when database is working in 24*7 enviroment
Regards,
shahique
Hi,
If these tables are version enabled, then you can run the dbms_wm.compressworkspace procedure to remove old rows. It is also possible to remove latest rows that are in a deleted state by using the remove_latest_deleted_rows parameter. More details about the compressworkspace procedure can be found in the workspace manager user guide.

DVMC Saving Potential for table COEP
Hello All,
i am curious to know the answer for the below interesting topic.
We have implemented the Solution Manager DVMC tool for few production systems. After we setup the query and BPM to analyze the saving potential calculation for the few of the table as per the DVM Sizes growth below question applies.
The Saving potential for table COEP, MSEG (for system like 4.7 systems) says to do the deletion potential. For example, the table last analysis 146.149,000 and out of that the deletion potential = 146.093,987
So based on the saving potential, we want to make a strategy looking at the deletion potential operational possibilities. However, looking at the SAP standard best practice documentation, we see the table like MSEG and COES u201Cdeletion cannot be usedu201D which is quite contradictory towards the report result in the DVMC report for saving potential.
I believe, there should be some reason, the Table analysis says about the deletion potential for these tables. I must curious to know the reason for the same.
Can anybody also explain how we can use the DVMC report either for Saving Potential or archiving potential in the operational activity? Like after we find the result, according to deletion potential, which records to be deleted etc.
Regards,
Shashi

Edited by: Shashi Samal on Feb 29, 2012 5:45 PMHello Shashi,
I wouldn't delete any table even if DVMC recommends so. I don't know your DB vendor but most of them (like DB2) offers table compression for saving spaces.

Adobe Forms - Table control data Saved in Database table through Web Dynpro
Hello Friends,
I Am facing a Problem in Adobe Forms through Web Dynpro.
i Want to Make Interactive online Adobe Forms - In Table Control user enter the multiple entry in the table control and after that Click on SAVE button , entry will saved in Database table.
Please guide me.
Thanks in advance.
Gaurav.Hi Gaurabh,
For interactive form you have to check the property DisplayType = native and PdfSource should be a Context Attribute of type 'Xstring'.
For data retrieval, create a NODE and have all the required attributes within that node of AOBE form.
Fetch the data in WDDOINIT.
Also check, that the offline senario for this form is working.
Hope it helps you. -

SET SUBTYPES = TRIM (SUBTYPES);Doing RTRIM alone will not suffice coz it'll only remove Right Spaces and NOT Left ones.
I guess, in your case doing a TRIM will be more beneficial to be safe and prevent any left spaces in future.
For intermediate spaces... try this.
UPDATE tablesubtype
SET SUBTYPES = REGEXP_REPLACE (SUBTYPES, ' ', '');Hope this Helps,

Space between tables in dreamweaver
Cellpad = 0, Cellspace = 0 and Border = 0 but there is still a space between tables. I checked in explorer and chrome, same thing. Suggestions?
This is not a DW or even a table problem - it's a 'you' problem! ;-)
What you are seeing is the space that is reserved below inline elements to accommodate text descenders. Make that image have the CSS style of "display:block" and you will see the gap vanish. -
I need that this button must get displayed after an empty space below table
Hi
I have created a table and added a button at bottom of table.
I need that this button must get displayed after an empty space below table.
How can i get an empty space there.
I have took a transparent container and selected a grid layout for it.
Thanks.Thanks Apurva....inserting "Horizontal gutter" solved my problem.
I need one more help.
In this transparent container, i have to add a header text displaying caption for this table and then a section which will display some buttons and text, then this table will be displayed and at last this update button.
i.e.
1. header text
2. area with few buttons and text(lables)
3. Current table
4. update button.
for this as i specified i have used a transparent container with grid layout...
Please guide me in this...
Thanks.... -
I cannot seem to eliminate the huge space between tables. I have set the td to vertical align top but it seems to make no difference. Example: http://blandheritage.org/GENEALOGY/numberingsystem.html
There are no tables on that page. Everything is either an absolutely positioned div, or a paragraph contained within an absolutely positioned div. The huge space is caused by your (INLINE) positioning of the apDiv12 -
<div id="apDiv12" style="position: absolute; left: 10px; top: 1016px; width: 994px; height: 1452px; z-index: 10">
I count 90 such absolutely positioned elements on your page, which could be the poster child for why one shouldn't use absolute positioning as a primary layout method (http://www.apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php). Just use your browser text size controls to increase the browser's display of text a couple of ticks and see what happens to your layout (in Safari I just use Command-+). Two ticks, and the contents have overlapped so much that the page becomes unreadable. I recognize it my be too late to inform you of this fundamental mistake in your approach on this page, but if I were you, I'd fix it. Who would ramp up the text size like this? Anyone with vision problems who may have their browsers already set at a large text display for readability - you have no control over that....
The good news is that this is the only page I see on your site that is built this way - all other pages are table-based, and while that approach is also uber-retro, at least it doesn't suffer from this potential overlapping problem. -

Use ComboBox TableCellEditor - values are not saved to the table model
Hi,
I got a combobox cell editor that uses to edit one of the columns.
And i got an ok button that uses to collect the data from the table and save it to the db.
In case i started editing of a cell and the editor is still displayed- if i will click on the button the data that will be colected from the table model will not contained the updated value in the cell editor.
In this case the user think his changes were saved but the last updated field is not updated.
Is this a bug i got in the cell editor or this is the normal behaviour?
Can it be fixed? (So that if the cell is in the middle of editing the value that will be saved is the last value that was selected).

How do I remove a space between tables?
In dreamweaver there appears to be no space and the page looks fine, however when I go into
internet explorer there is a gap between the tables. I want my image to be
at the bottom of my table, resting on the footer.
I have tried for hours to resolve this and I can't, there is still a space between my HR helpline image and my footer.
I have set all the borders and cell spacing to 0 but nothing seems to work.
I have not yet got my web site on line so can't tell you what the URL is, but when I go and view source from the internet explorer this is the code:
<td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> </td>
<td width="430" height="200" align="center" valign="bottom" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="EditRegion2" -->
<p><img src="../frustrated helpline.jpg" alt="HR helpline" width="331" height="282" border="0" longdesc="http://HR telephone helpline" /><!-- InstanceEndEditable --></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table width="900" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
<td valign="top"><img src="images/Core HR Web footer 900.jpg" width="900" height="81" alt="london surrey berkshire kingston" longdesc="http://footer" /></td>
</tr>
</table>
Thanks if anyone can help, I am really new to this.

Error while saving to ekpo table
sir,
PO was created with currency japanese YEN using Tcode ME21N . The net price was showing 142502300 (in JPY).
My problem is when checked in EKPO table , it saved with a value 1425023.00 So this is decimal value error. what can be done to correct this.
Regards,
Srinivasa Murthyfor japaness yen there is no decimal places in the amount field sap as stanadrd save with two decimal places. so during display u will see the amount without decimal which is correct value but in backend sap saves with 2 decimals.
so there is no error in sap. it is sap stanadrd process of saving data.
for eg the percentage value for condition records is saved by multiplied by 10 . -
How to remove footer space in Table
I have created a table in main window. after creating main area section, the footer section is appearing as an empty at the bottom. I tried to remove this space by giving zero height to the footer height, but the value is not accepted by the system. How can I remove the space created by the footer?
rajanHi Rajan,
Can you please tell me how did you solve this problem ?
I am facing the same issue in smartforms.

Hi,
I want to add some space before and after the table cell content. I am using setIntercellSpacing() method to achieve that and I could get the required functionality. But its adding space in the Table Header also which looks odd. Is there any way to set the spacing only for the cell and not for the table header.
Let me know if anyone has solution for this.
Thanks and Regards,
R.Vishnu Varadhan.I find this behaviour of setIntercellSpacing() very annoying, too. Why the hell did the Swing developers implement it that way?
Nevertheless, you can create the desired effect by writing a custom cell renderer, but that is if course more work than that single method call.
