Setting default alert button at runtime

Setting default alert button at runtime
Sometime I want Button1 to be default and sometimes I want Button2 to be default.
Please tell me how to change the default button at runtime.
Thanks
Claus Hansen [email protected]

Beware of a slight bug in at least some versions. If the user dismisses the alert using the [X] close window control it fires a particular button which is not neccesarilly the default one. I always ensure that I make the default button the one which the control fires.

  • How to set default alert time?

    Whenever I set up a new calendar item on iCal and want to set an alarm one or more days before the event, the alarm defaults to 11:45PM. I would like to change this default time to something like 9:00 am. I've checked preferences but don't see any way to do that.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    David

    Go iCal Preferences/General and click the default alert tick box at the bottom. You can then adjust the amount of minutes before the event for the alarm. NB. ticking the tickbox means you get an alarm for every entry.

  • How to set default custom button in af:popup

    Hi,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.2. I have popup. In that there are two input fields and one custom button called "Login". At runtime after the popup is been launched , while pressing Enter key it needs to trigger the "Login" button. If I use *<af:subForm>* in jsff file, the default is getting triggered. Apart from <af:subform> Is there any way to trigger default button at runitime?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Praveen.

    You can use an af:dialog of type ok/cancel for your popup. If you hit enter it'll work like the OK button is clicked. In a dialoglistener you can destinguage all other buttons or ESC.

  • Alerts in delegate iCal 6.0 in Mountain Lion not allowing to set default

    I'm using iCal 6.0 with OSX 10.8.2
    When syncing iCal with my Google calendars all is well. However, when I add an event in any one of the delegate calendars in switches the default alert from "None" to "9 a.m. the day before" etc.
    I have logged into my calendar online and all the calendars have NO alerts set. At all.
    I do not have this issue on my iPad or iPhone. Only on my Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion as stated above.
    I’ve called support, no help there so far.
    I’ve done everything except uninstall iCal itself.
    Any ideas?

    Found this on another discussion. So far it's seems to solve issue:

    ok got it, had to be from my ipad settings, go to settings, go to mail,contacts,calendars, and then scroll down to calendar settings and tick off new invitation alerts as well as shared calendar alerts. cheers
    NOTE: Make sure this is done on all devices. I had it off on my iPad but on on my iPhone. Turned them all off seemd to work so far.

  • Change iCal default alert.

    Is it possible to change the default alert in iCal to email with Mac OS X Lion?

    I see that with the introduction of Mavericks that they did not introduce the opportunity to set default alerts in their new Calendar upgrade, which I imagine would help a lot of people and would be relatively easy to create.
    I like to have an email alert for every Calendar event in my Inbox (the best way for me not to miss any event) and at the moment with Mavericks Calendar it takes 4 clicks every time I set up a new event to achieve this, which os a real pain. It is even more clicks than Mountain Lion.
    Does anyone know a workaround to achieve that until they write the software.
    Does anyone else have this problem too?

  • Can I set a default alert type in iCal?

    For some reason all new events in my iCal (whether I create them, or someone invites me) have two alerts set by default:
    1. Email (10 minutes before)
    2. Message (10 minutes before)
    I don't want either of these as my default, but I can't figure out how to change it. Is it possible to set a default alert type/time?
    Macbook Pro
    OS 10.7.2
    The calendar in question is CalDAV (from Google calendar)

    Hi,
    In iCal the default alarm type is "message with sound". You cannot change the type of alarm but you can change the offset of it.
    Now that you say it is a Google calendar, information for setting default alarms on Google Calendar: Change your default notification settings : Google Calendar Help

  • How to set the default alert to 'none'?

    The question is pretty much self-explanitory. What I'd like to be able to do is create a new iCal event, and to have no alerts put in there as default, so it would be set to 'none'. At the moment, I have two default alerts - one by email, the other being a message. I don't want any!
    Is there a way to do this? Thanks for any and all help, in advance!

    There are a couple of ways of doing this:
    If you're editing on the canvas, press Shift + Enter.
    If you're working in Express View (see lower right hand corner of Project Siena), you'll need to copy a hard return from another app such as Notepad.
    I believe a better implementation of hard returns are in the list of requested functionality that you can find here:

  • Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

    Can one set "Navigation Pane Buttons" Left Sidebar to 'Default Hidden' and 'Not Open' upon opening Any .pdf document?

    Photoshop has to have full administrator rights to have read/write access.
    This means you need to run Photoshop CS5.1 in an Administrator account and set it up to "Run as Administrator."
    1. Close Photoshop if it's open.
    2. Right click on your Photoshop CS5.1 launch icon then select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. (You will have to enter Admin Password if UAC is enabled to change this setting.)
    3. Launch Photoshop CS5.
    4. See if you create and save a document.
    Even if you are in an Administrator account you have to do this as Vista's Admin account isn't really the Super Admin as it is in XP so you have to elevate the rights by selecting "Run as Administrator". This setting is sticky so you should only have to do this once. I am not sure why CS3 is suddenly acting as if it does't have Admin rights unless you are running it in a new account that isn't an administrator or maybe uninstalled (cleanScript?) then reinstalled.
    If can't create or save a document, check that the account that Photoshop is in is an Administrator account.
    To check if you are in an Administrator account...
    1. Type user account in your Vista or Windows7 start search bar. (Start search bar is at the bottom of the panel that opens when you click the start Windows start globe located on the far left hand side of your Windows task bar.)
    2.  Click on "User Accounts" which should show up at the top of the list. This will open the dialog to User Accounts where you can "Change Your Account Type". If UAC (User Account Control) is turned on, you will need to enter the Admin password to change this setting.

  • Setting default cancel opperations on buttons

    Hi all.
    Does anyone know how to set a JButton to the default cancel button???
    In other words, no matter what field or button has the focus, if you push the 'esc' key, the 'default cancel' button activates.
    I am hoping it doesn't have to be a listener...
    Anyone know of a method???
    Thanks

    Try this:import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class Test extends JFrame implements ActionListener {
        private JCheckBox coolnessBox;
        private JButton cancelButton;
        private JButton okayButton;
        public Test () {
            coolnessBox = new JCheckBox ("This example is cool");
            cancelButton = new JButton ("Cancel");
            cancelButton.addActionListener (this);
            okayButton = new JButton ("Okay");
            okayButton.addActionListener (this);
            JPanel boxPanel = new JPanel (new GridBagLayout ());
            boxPanel.add (coolnessBox, new GridBagConstraints ());
            boxPanel.setPreferredSize (new Dimension (300, 150));
            JPanel buttonPanel = new JPanel ();
            buttonPanel.setLayout (new BoxLayout (buttonPanel, BoxLayout.X_AXIS));
            buttonPanel.add (Box.createHorizontalGlue ());
            buttonPanel.add (cancelButton);
            buttonPanel.add (okayButton);
            getContentPane ().setLayout (new BorderLayout ());
            getContentPane ().add (boxPanel);
            getContentPane ().add (buttonPanel, BorderLayout.SOUTH);
            String cancelKey = "cancel";
            getRootPane ().getInputMap (JComponent.WHEN_IN_FOCUSED_WINDOW).put (KeyStroke.getKeyStroke (KeyEvent.VK_ESCAPE, 0), cancelKey);
            getRootPane ().getActionMap ().put (cancelKey, new AbstractAction () {

  • How to change default alerts in iCal?

    Hello.
    Every time you add a new event in iCal, the Info panel of the event contains a series of default alerts that you may want to add to it. However, all of them are useless to me (e.g.: "Send email to <my address> 4 days after), so I need to manually edit them event by event. Anybody knows how to change them? I have already inspected all the plist files related to ical, and looked inside the ical package content, but I found no indication of where to change these values. Using iCal version 5.0.2
    Thanks,
    l

    John: Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted. I was indeed inspecting the plist with bbedit, but what I did not realize is that the file has some parts which are binary, so I could not see the PersistentMenu-lastUsedAlarms part by using a text editor. I opened it with Xcode and I did find what you were saying, and erased all the junk that was in there. In fact, the issue I had was also described here:
    http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Uk/uk.comp.sys.mac/2010-06/msg02349.html
    For some reason, it looks like after some upgrade the program adds were some positive values in the plist and I was stuck with default alarms that were set *after* the events I wanted to set an alarm for.
    I did what you suggested, then added by hand new values to the PersistentMenu part of the plist, and I am now happy.
    For everybody's information, to know what I did, it is enough to know to add Dictionary items to the  PersistentMenu-lastUsedAlarms, with 3 fields:
    -- AlarmTypeKey (this determines if you want a sound, or else an email, or else the other default alarm type keys. For example, sending an email is a Number, value 4; having a message with sound is a Number, value 3)
    -- AlarmDurationKey: This is a Number, in seconds, that determines when you want your alarm to trigger. E.g: -172800 will be two days before. Must be negative for "before", of course)
    -- AlarmParameterKey: This is a String, where you store the value that you want the alarm to have. For example, if you want an email to be sent, the AlarmTypeKey will be 4, as explained above, and this field will contain your email address. Instead, if you want the alarm to be a sound, the AlarmTypeKey will be 3 and this field will have the name of the sound you want (e.g., Basso).
    That's it. Thanks a lot for the solution!

  • How can I set the highlighted button according to the last chapter viewed?

    I have a main menu with four buttons, each one of which takes me to a different chapter of track 1. When I press the MENU button on the remote and return to the main menu, I would like for the highlighted button to be the one corresponding to the last chapter viewed. How can I do this?
    Page 247 of the DVDSP manual says the following:
    Highlight Condition: Provides an alternative method to the Default Button setting for determining which button to highlight. When Highlight Condition is set to Default, the Default Button setting supplies the button highlight setting. When Highlight Condition is set to one of its stream settings (audio, subtitle, camera angle), the number of the stream last played determines the button to highlight. This setting can be overridden by any element that jumps to this menu, based on its jump setting.
    I know that SPRM 7 contains the value of the current chapter, so when returning to the main menu I would like to use SPRM 7 to set the Highlight Condition, but I don't see a way to do that, since the only options for Highlight Condition are audio stream, subtitle stream, and camera angle.

    Ah. Pre-scripts.
    I would do this by tracking the menu, certainly, but I'd do that by using a set of scripts not as prescripts. So, if your main menu is the start up item for the disc, create a script that reads:
    mov GPRM0, 1
    Jump main menu
    and set that as the start up item instead. Now create a second script:
    mov GPRM0, 2
    Jump Menu2
    and use both of these scripts on any button that goes to a menu. For example, on the Main Menu you'll have a button that links to menu2... point that button to script 2 instead of the menu itself. Similarly, on the chapter menu if you've got a button that takes you back to the main menu, point that button to the first script.
    For your menu call script you can now do this:
    mov GPRM1, SPRM8
    div GPRM1, 1024
    Jump Main menu \[GPRM1\] if (GPRM0 = 1)
    Jump Menu2 \[GPRM1\] if (GPRM0 = 2)
    This could also be the end jump script for both tracks, too.
    Now, Main menu will have three buttons, one for track 1, one for track 2 and one to go to the second script. Track 1 menu call and end jump goes to the last script, track 2 does the same. On the chapter select menu you point each button to the relevant chapter in track 1 and let the scripts do their job whenever a menu call is made or the track ends. The script will see you were on Menu2 and send you there, and SPRM8 will get you back to the button you last selected.
    If, instead of this, you want to go to the button that represents the last chapter played on the chapter menu, and not the last button pressed, but still be able to get to the last button on the main menu then the script changes a bit:
    Goto 5 if (GPRM0 = 2)
    mov GPRM1, SPRM8
    div GPRM1, 1024
    Jump Main menu \[GPRM1\]
    mov GPRM1, SPRM7
    Jump Menu2 \[GPRM1\]
    This sends you to the button relevant to the last chapter played if you came from the chapter menu, by jumping through the script to the bit that deals with Menu2, else it will work out the last button selected (and we assume this must have been on the Main menu because GPRM0 !=2 in that case), and send you to the main menu with that button highlighted.
    If you've got any more scripts than that running, you've got too many... and get rid of the pre-scripts - they are more trouble than not, and don't work if you are using GPRM based button jumps anyway.

  • How to set default file path while downloading alv output

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me that how to set default file path while downloading the ALV output to system using Local file button on tool bar.

    This information initial value is (maybe) stored in Windows Register (register.exe) at Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Filetransfer -> PathDownload, you can read it thru class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES method GET_UPLOAD_DOWNLOAD_PATH and update it thru method REGISTRY_SET_VALUE. (Else there may be some parameter ID to force data, but I'm no longer sure)
