Task email gets send as an attachment (in Soa suite 10.1.3.1)

I'm playing around with the new soa suite.
I'm implementing a human task. (by the way, GREAT improvement over the "old" one).
The email send bij the task is getting send as an attachment.Actually 2 attachments : "Message" and "Content".
If i send a notification mail, then it gets send OK.
I only configured the email server in the ns_emails.xml file.
Did i miss a setting or something ?

I have tryed space enter using my workflow editor but email does not work.
Have you tried using editor or direct in code section from JDeveloper?

I have found out the problem and solution for this OPMN error, its actually our Fusion team work
the error is caused by Port conflicts we believe

we have shutdown the opmn box and restarted all of its process
it did not happen in the first time itself i have to repeat this for a several times then the SOA suite is running normally

I tried to start all at opmn/bin and got following message
Timed out waiting for OPMN to initialize. OPMN may be down

Do I need IIS or Task Scheduler for a windows install of the SOA suite

I am currently trying to set a R&D SOA environment up on a windows box. By default these services are disabled when we usually set up our application servers within dev. So do I need IIS and task scheduler to be running on the windows environment when I install the SOA suite?

you do not need the IIS because SOA Suite is shipped with its own Apache.

Get Custom SOAP Header Value in SOA Suite 11.1.1.6 using BPEL 1.1

We are using SOA Suite 11.1.1.6 and in one of the projects we have requirement to retrieve custom SOAP header value.
This is enhancement to existing process which is developed using BPEL 1.1 and deployed to Production. So we cannot convert this now to BPEL 2.0
We suggested to use custom XML element in Header the definition of which will be defined in custom XSD and stored in common location. However the 3rd party who are invoking this service will not be able to do any customization in their process to pass custom XML header.
Please can you help me in providing any approach through which we can retrieve custom Header value from SOAP header using BPEL 1.1
I have read some blogs for retrieving the custom XML header but they are using BPEL 2.0. I would like achieve this functionality using BPEL 1.1

Have you've tried to put the bpex:outputHeaderVariable on the invoke activity of the invoked service.

Where the "HeaderVariable" reflects the XSD Datastructure of the received header.
This is also specified here in section 6.19.1 How to Receive SOAP Headers in BPEL
Please note that the exact header must be specified in the WSDL of the invoked service.
Also note that in case of a soap fault. No header will be returned from the invoked service but only a /soap/body/fault part.

When sending email PO in a PDF attachment, the attachment can not be openen

We are trying to send an email with the PO in PDF format. We got the email but the attachment can not be opened.
Error reads: Adobe could not open test.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example , it was send as a email attachemnet and was not correctly decoded).
Could any body bring some light?   We know that everything in SCOT is fine because we can email the PO through configuration to the vendor without problem. It is just these extra copies that do not work.

Steps for End user:
1)     Creating the Purchase Order or RFQ with suitable document type through ME21N or ME41 .
2)     Executing the transaction ME9F and in selecting the suitable output type.
3)     Executing the transaction ZSEND_PDOC using INT as input.
4) With above steps we can able to send purchase order or RFQ to vendor as an attachment through e-mail in PDF format.

1) design for no wider than 600px (otherwise it may not fit in email clients).
2) Slice up your newsletter design in segments for images and html areas with the slice tool.
3) add the <a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com">my website</a> link in one of the html areas.
4) export as generic html 4 code, and put the images in a separate folder.
5) upload all the images to your website's server in a folder (you cannot embed images in an email newsletter - they must link to externally hosted images).
6) change all the links in your html page to the ones that were loaded up on your server. For example, an image's source link would work out similar to this: <img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/newsletter/image1.jpg" alt="alternate description of your image">
7) open the newsletter with working external images in Chrome or Firefox. Select the entire page content (ctrl-a), and copy it (ctrl-c).
8) create a new email in your mail client. Place the cursor in the body. Paste the newsletter (ctrl-v).
9) send your newsletter to hundreds of recipients, and get blacklisted by several email servers. Receive warning messages from your own hosting provider not to spam other users' email accounts.
10) realize this is too much of a hassle, and instead opt for a service such as MailChimp.
(The result in (9) depends on whether you sent out your newletter only to acquaintances, or not. But even then you might be warned off.)
Btw, many email clients turn off images in an email by default. You must provide the most important content as html, not as images.

Sending a binary attachment via email, looking for a more clean way

Hi experts.
I finally managed to send a binary attachment via email. Why "finally"? Never done before!
Also I got to manage the "not standard" .SAP file extension, because the attachment is a transaction link.
So let me explain how i did it:
take SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1, filling following input data:

But how to fill lt_hex? Well I did not found a way to transfer text data into raw data structure (lt_hex is type SOLIX).
So, here is the trick:
fill another table, lt_bin type SOLISTI1, with attachment content (text data);
dump lt_bin content to a file on application server, having care to specify TEXT MODE and UTF-8 encoding;
now reopen the same file in BINARY MODE and transfer content to lt_hex.
Why I did not use parameter
content_bin
? Because SAP ECC 6 is unicode enabled (I think UTF-16) and file has got to be UTF-8 or ASCII. Also, packing_list for attachment must specify binary tranfer mode. And doing so each UTF-16 character (2 bytes) is split into 2 characters (1 char + 1 NUL byte). Attachment is now unusable.
What is the question? Here it is: how to fill lt_hex data directly from text (UTF-16) data, avoiding conversion errors?

If you have a look inside with Notepad or something like that, you will see that your leading zeros are exported correct.Excel-settings occurs this problem, it is all about how to open the document. If you use the import-assistant you will have no problems because there are options available how to handle the different columns.
Another solution might be to get familiar with ABAP2XLS-Project. I got in my mind, that there is a method implemented, that will help you solving this problem. But that is not a five minute job

How do I get a PDF to attach to an email without expanding?

When I attach a PDF to an email on my Mac, it expands within the body of the email while I want to attach the PDF as a file. How do I fix?

Again, you have no control over that.
But, whether they see them in the body of the email or not, as long as you attach them to the email, they will also get it as an attachent at their end.
Personally, I think a better way to send the PDF via email would be to Zip it (or compress it with whatever you have on a Mac) first. It won't show up in the preview and it lessons the odds of it being corrupted by your email encoding.

Scanning, Attaching to emails, and Sending in Color using a MAC

I need to be able to scan color images to my desk top, attach them to emails and send the emails so that when received and read they will be in color. I know how to scan the colored images to my desk top, but when I go to view them they are in black and white/not in color. Why and now do I get them scanned in color? I need to know this sooner rather than later please!
Also, my printer is still under warranty. How do I get someone from customer/technical support on the phone to troubleshoot this and tell me how to fix the problem? I cannot get a hold of anyone. All the numbers I try are useless because I can't get anyone on the phone.

The Product/Model Number of your printer. Follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
The version number of the Mac Operating System. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the printer is able to make copies by itself.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.

Office Save & Send emails get stuck in Outlook outbox

Hello All,
I have a user here that when she uses the Office Save & Send and also Adobe XI Pro send feature to Outlook the email gets stuck in the outbox and will not send. When we recreate the email from within Outlook and attach the file it sends with no issue. We
are using Exchange 2010 and Windows 7. I have not been able to recreate the issue on my own PC and I have recreated her email profile as well as repair the Office install. I am at a loss. I have seen many posts about email being stuck in the Outbox, but none
referencing the Save & Send feature.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Based on the description, when using the Office Save & Send feature, the email would be stuck in Outlook outbox. Without using the Office Save & Send feature, it could send email successfully. This means that Exchange server is ok, it seems the issue

Why is gmail blocking me from sending email with a "pages" document attached? I've checked the document for viruses with "MacKeeper" and it's clean.

Google reads your emails, in case you did not know that. Unless you are sending an email containing content Google can extract and add to its vast database of personal information, Google has no use for it.
Google Mail is becoming progressively useless. It won't accept .zip attachments, at least not the last time I tried, it will eventually prevent you from using an email client unless you visit their web mail interface, and it will disable your account if you attempt to log in from someplace Google deems is not where Google thinks you ought to be.
Gmail is worth every cent you paid.
Get rid of MacKeeper. It is capable of doing nothing beneficial and will only cause problems.
