I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Error 2755 - Will not download iTunes - Please help

My two daughters got iPod Shuffles for Christmas and all I get is two hours on the computer trying to download iTunes.
Every time I try to download the software I get the following message:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this pacage. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2755.
I cannot delete Quicktime from my computer, and I'm a little afraid to do a regedit without specific instructions. Anyone that could help me, it would be very much appreciated.
