Turkey: year end close RFSUMB00 / fiscal year variant

Hello guys,
I am wondering if anyone of you have had this requirement before.
Running RFSUMB00 on a Turkish company code will blow away the balances from all G/L accounts so that each individual account has a balance of 0.
Questions:
1. How do you manage revenue accounts (cost element categories 11 and 12). A pure cost centre is not enough as CO account assignment. You can switch off error message KI 166 (so that no COPA documents are then created), but is this really wanted?
2. If each individual account has a balance of 0 at year end, how to create a B/S and P/L for that year? Especially, for previous years? The only thing that comes to my mind is using special periods (13 to 16), but....   -->
3. ...in our system, the FI fiscal year variant is not K4, but a custom variant. The fiscal year (of the group) does not end on 31st December. I have a small FI-SL application running in the background (with K4 assigned there), and I could change the FI-SL period to 13 during the document transfer easily, but I ask myself why I do not post all of these funny closing documents directly in FI-SL then? This would save me from the usage of dummy assets/customers/vendors and the continous changes made to the "automatic postings only" flag (SKB1-XINTB).
Turkey experts, any hints welcome. What are your best practices?
Thank you,
Csaba

Yes frank,
GL closing should be carried only after all the sub ledgers are closed
for asset closing
you should open the new fiscal year first (AJRW) and then close the existing fiscal year. (AJAB)
otherwise FI-AA and Fi-GL may not reconcile (use tcode ABST2 to check this)

    Hi,
This is one of my exit that display the calmonth (offset -12). Usefull when I have to retrieve in a KF a complete rolling year depending one calmonth.
    S_VMUCMN is my selection variable
S_TXTCMN_M12 is my text variable calmonth-12
S_TXTCMN_M0 is my text variable for selected calmonth.
    WHEN 'S_TXTCMN_M12'.
        IF i_step = '2'.
          LOOP AT i_t_var_range INTO loc_var_range WHERE vnam = 'S_VMUCMN'.
            CLEAR l_s_range.
" First day of the selected month
            CONCATENATE loc_var_range-low '01' INTO l_calday.
            CALL FUNCTION 'YFRBW_FUM_CAL_DATE_IN_INTERVAL'
              EXPORTING
                date      = l_calday
                months    = 12
                signum    = '-'
              IMPORTING
                calc_date = l_calday.
            l_s_range-low = l_calday+0(6).
            l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
            l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
            APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
            EXIT.
          ENDLOOP.
        ENDIF.
Thus, in KF header you have to put the two text variable to display the complete period.

  • Can we only year value from "0FISCPER" (Fiscal Year/Period) at BEx level

    Hi all,
I have two time characteristics "0FISCYEAR" (Fiscal Year) and "0FISCPER" (Fiscal Year/Period). In DSO initially "0FISCPER" was there and later request came to add "0FISCYEAR". Now data in char. "0FISCPER" is since beginning (from 2000) and for char. "0FISCYEAR" is since 2010.
User's requirement is to create a report which will display data Year wise.
My issue is if i am using "0FISCYEAR" then user is not able to see year instead it shows #. I dont want to do data reloading as this is GL data and hold huge no. of records in it.
So my concern is : Is there any way to use only year value from "0FISCPER" (Fiscal Year/Period) at BEx level? Is there any setting which I can apply and get the same value of Year as I can see from "0FISCYEAR". Please assist me on this.
    Thanks,
    Arvind

    Hi Arvind,
Your requirement can be realised through virtual characteristics.

however, I would still suggest to reload the data. you will only need to reload years before 2010 and you can do this in phases.
    Hope this helps.

  • Text Variables to show Start and End Date of Fiscal Year Period

    Hi,
I am creating a query that has user enter a starting fiscal year period and posts information by Fiscal Year Period going back 14 periods.  I am able to put the fiscal year period in the heading for all periods, but would also like to add the start and end calendar day for each listed period.  Can that be done using a replacement path text variable or is that something more for a customer exit variable?

  • Open and Close periods/Fiscal years

    Dear All
We are in the process of FM-BCS implementation, we observed thre is transaction code (FMOPER) for open the Budget periods. This is working for Budget workbech (FBMM) only. But at the time of Actual Postings even period is not open in FMOPER system is allowing for actual postings.
Kindly suggest where we can control actual postings through period open/cose option in FM-BCS.
    Thanks in advance
    Rao

    Hi Rao,
You need to be aware of all the impact of the use of PBET (Period-Based Encumbrance Tracking) before activating it in transaction OF39. This is not a simple change, it impacts all your integrated postings that come from all other areas (FI, CO, MM, SD) into FM.
You cannot use any FM update date other than the POSTING date when PBET is active.
One common error when you activate PBET is FI_E050 - Posting date/period 00/00/0000 is earlier than existing
    date/period 00/00/0000.
If you want updating to take place on the delivery date, you must return profile to Fiscal Year Based (non-PBET) updating.
This step will also eliminate the error FI_E050.
Part of the basic PBET logic, aims at recording a detailed change history of every single document in FM.
For more details on this, please also refer to the program documentation  and chapter Public Sector Management -> Funds Management -> Recording Actual and Commitment Data -> Period-Based Encumbrance Tracking.
The standard functionality when PBET is active is to use the system date as the FM posting date. However, you do have 3 options to overwrite this:
    Document Creation:
    1.- Version Management (PR/PO)
2.- FM updating date is the document posting date.
    Document Change:
1.- System use FM_TRANS_DATE date as FM updatign date, if this date is not filled, system use system date as FM updating date.
If customer want to change this logic, the FM updating date is decided by one of the following three steps, in order shown.
    - Version Management (PR/PO): Posting date of version
    - Transaction FMOD to override the update date by user
    - Activate user exit EXIT_SAPLFMFA_004 so that a popup screen is
displayed that permits entering the FM posting date, you could
manually set the date found in the document header to a later date.
      - you could manually set the date found in the document header to a
    later date (System date  SY_DATUM).
PBET is Periodic-based encumbrance tracking and it is a function that monitors encumbrances per period, with a change record issued for each change made within a period. This function belongs to Funds Management Area (PSM-FM).
If PBET is active, system does not allow posting to a date earlier than the present date, you will receive error FI_E050 in case this is not satisfied. Follow are two comments form the code which indicate same:
"No new dates can be earlier than the original or new account assignment line items".
"Ensure that new fm update dates are not older than original date or if a change, this change must be latest date in document"
To use or not to use PBET is customer decision and this impact that the period is verified more strictly than without PBET. Maybe you should consider with your consultant if using PBET is the best solution for your business processes.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Year end close not possible due to negative values in AUC

When I raun the transaction AJAB I am getting an error -Depreciation /update of values has errors for AUC 4000253 . Further analysis of the problem:
    Diagnosis
+The depreciation values for asset 000004000253-0000 in company code 9000 were not calculated completely and correctly.+
    System Response
The year-end closing cannot be carried out for company code 9000.
    Procedure
    Recalculate depreciation for the asset.
You can recalculate depreciation in the 'Change asset master record' transaction by choosing the menu option 'Edit' -> 'Recalculate values.'
The system then either completely recalculates depreciation for this asset, or provides a detailed error message explaining the error.
I have done everything possible as per this error analysis but its not working. Kindly note that the AUC was previously settled from an internal order but during the course of the year, internal orders were discontinued and we now use PS/IM.
    Please help!!!

  • Reversal of Last Fiscal year asset in current fiscal year

    Dear SAP experts
Asset has been booked in last fiscal year (jan2006) depreciation also posted till this fiscal year last month (2007 June)
    Asset value-70000 (invoice value)
    Accumulated Depreciation-33753.42
Asset net book value as on date- 36246.58
With same information one more asset also booked by mistake, so my client want to reverse any one of them asset with depreciation (which has booked in last fiscal year)
I tried with asset credit memo (T code ABGF); it is picking up only asset net book value (36246.58) not accumulated depreciation (which is already affected in Accumulated GL account).
Can you tell me is there any way to solve this problem

    Hi Chaitanya,
If you have already acquired and depriciated the asset in previous fiscal year and closed the books and published the results why do you want to reverse it now. from accounting point of view also how would you show the entry for reversal of depriciation.
Any how the acqusition and depriciation posted in previous fiscal year can not be reversed in current fiscal year it can be reversed only in previous fiscal year. as per SAP standards you can write up the asset if you have wrongly depricaiated the asset.
Or else you can retire the asset with revenue which will give the same financial impact as you are expecting.
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to get last 35th fiscal year periof form current fiscal year period

    Hi,
I want last 35th moths fiscal yesr periof from current fiscal yesr periog.
    E.g. current month FISPER - 2010011 so required FISPER is 2010011 - 35 = 2007009.
Please help if any one know about it.
    Marks will be provided.

    Hi,
Drag Fiscal year/period characteristic in the query and restrict it .
In the variables , you will find SAP delivered variable which willl give you current fiscal year/period.
Create range on the using this variable and give offset of -35.
    For eg.
the name of the variable is 0PF_CP,  then create range in the following way.
    Lower range will be 0PF_CP - 35
and higher limit will be 0PF_CP.
So the range would be 0PF_CP-35 : 0PF_CP.
This will give you the last 35 fiscal year/period.

  • Open asset acctng year in closed FI fiscal year - asset not totally posted

    Hello Friends,
In January we have closed 2010 in finance but Asset accounting year remained open.
Now I have an asset with planned depreciation in 2010 which was not posted. Now I can't close asset accounting for 2010.
I have read about SAP note 29694 and program RACORR20_A in the forum, but I'm not sure about it's consecuences. Can't I just delete the planned depreciation in 2010, close the year and set an unplanned depreciation for the same value in 2011?
    Thanks in advance.
    Juanma.

    Hi Juan
You have 2 choices, one of which you have identified already
    a. Note 619969 - This will let you post dep in 2010... This will change balance in your FI books
b.Note 29694 - If you dont wanna post anything in 2010 due to legal issues, then use the program mentioned in the note and this will make Posted dep = Planned Dep
Advisable is Note 619969 of the two

  • Change fiscal year to 2006 in Asset Management : error in year-end closing

    SAP version: 4.0B
Transaction Codes used: Year-end closing – AJAB, Fiscal year change – AJRW
We are trying to change the fiscal year to 2006 in Asset Management.
I tried to change the fiscal year to 2006 for the company code 0055 using transaction code AJRW. The test run has displayed an error message “Fiscal year change in co. code 0055 1 possible only after year-end closing 2004 2’.
I have used the transaction code OAAQ to find the out the fiscal year, the closing for depreciation area is successfully performed.
Unfortunately it is still showing ‘2003’ which should have been 2004 for company code 0055.
I tried to close the fiscal year 2004. The test run has completed successfully. I have scheduled the ‘RAJABS00’. The program has executed successfully with no errors or warnings.
The closing for depreciation area (Transaction – OAAQ) is still showing 2003 for company code 0055, which should have been changed to 2004.
I am new to Asset Management. Can you please give some suggestions on how to fix the problem and change the fiscal year to 2006.
    Thank you,
    Vidya

    Hi,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
I have used transaction OAAR to check if any area is still open for previous years.
Surprisingly! The areas are closed only till 2003.
Can you please let me know what to do (transaction codes - programs) to close the areas for fiscal year 2004.
I am new to Asset Management. I think you are good in Asset Management. Can you please give some suggestions on how to close the fiscal year 2004.
Can you please let me know if I have to run any other transactions other than closing the areas before running the transaction to close the fiscal year 2004.
    Thank you very much.

  • Year-End Closing Asset Account - AJAB

    Hi,
While executing year end closing for fiscal year 2005, system gives following error message :-
    "Depreciation not posted completely"
Since, there is unposted planned depreciation in period 12 / 2005, system is not allowing to close the year.
But since the financial year 2005 has already been closed, we can not open it back due to other legal issues and financial impacts, user wants to have any other work around solution to close the year 2005 without posting the depreciation.

    Hi,
At last we opened FI Year 2005.
We run the depreciation for 12/2005 (31/03/2006), posted depreciation reversal entry on 31/03/2006 to nullify effect on B/s and P&L account and the same was reversed on first day of next fiscal year i.e. 01/04/2006.

  • Asset Fiscal Year End Closing - Depreciation not posted completely in 2010

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue concerning AA 2010 year end closing, since there is one asset which depreciation in 2010 was not posted completely, meaning that we cannot close 2010 fiscal year.
This happened because of the following situation:
Vendor Incoice was posted in 30.12.2010, with a document date 31.03.2010 (meaning that for this asset the depreciation calculation start date was 01.03.2010). Then, in 30.03.2011 someone post the reversal document, with posting date 31.12.2010.
So for this asset I donu2019t have any depreciation posted in 2011 and no values in depreciation book, for the asset, meaning that even if I change the depreciation calculation start date for 01.01.2011, it will still be necessary to run depreciation in Dec.2010.
However I cannot run depreciation for this asset for 2010 because it will have impact in 2010 balance sheet, which cannot happen.
Do you have any ideas to solve this problem?
    Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Andreia Nascimento

    Hi,
As i have already suggested you for the [SIMILAR THREAD|Re: Asset Fiscal Year Closing not possible], which you have only posted in FI forum, there is no other alternative than running the repeat dep run for FY 2010 for period 12.
Please do not cross post your questions.
