Web URL Re-direction thru Web Dispatcher

Has anybody done web url re-direction using Web Dispatcher. I want to redirect URLs. Please advise what configuration I need to carry out.

I guess your sapwebdisp is talking to the Message Server of the Portal behind it. So what you have is the following
situation:
User connects to 'http://sapwebdispname:sapwebdispport/irj/portal' and this URL stays like that regardless
of the Portal-Server the user is actually working on.
To achieve what you outlined you will have to make the sapwebdisp answer to port 80 and the desired
hostname. Everything else should be handled in the background.
The configuration item icm/server_port_xx will have to contain the HOST Parameter
Example:
icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=80, TIMEOUT=45, EXTBIND=1, HOST=www.company.com
Where EXTBIND=1 is required if your OS does not allow ports to specify that the port should not be bound to all host names (default), but only to the specified host. In this way the host with only one open port can be reached under various URLs.
In parallel you need to make sure that DNS yields the desired results for the name you want to use in the URL.

We know that SCOM 2007 R2 can monitor the web url's. Does it monitor the weburl with in the internal network and also from external network. is it possible to monitor the same internal website which is confiured to use out side the network(external)
from scom 2007 R2. how to find which url is internal and which is external.

Please confirm that SCOM 2007 R2 having the capability to monitor a weburl from internal network and also from external network(internet).
I have configured the web url monitoring using the web application template…which I am sure that is monitoring the weburl internally(with in the network).
For the same weburl is configured to access from external network (internet). I need to monitor the same url
which is accessing from internet. If internet users are not able to access the weburl we need an alert from scom 2007 R2.
i googled for this answer and no luck.
Is there any different monitors available with scom to monitor weburl for both internal and external network

While installing webdispatcher you provide Hostname and http message server port of j2ee of CI .
So , webdispatcher communicate directly with message server, where message server check which application server is free and hence forward the request to that specify application server of j2ee instance.

Report Server Web Urls

Hi,
SQL 2008R2 (Standard)
Windows Server 2012
Having problems accessing SSRS on a new commissioned SQL server. In the "Web Service URL" page of the "Reporting Services Configuration Manager", I'm clicking on the link next to the label "Report Server Web Urls". I'm
prompted for a domain username/password, none of which appear to work - the credentials box just keeps reappearing.
I know these credentials are OK as one of them is my own domain username/password.
There is nothing around this time in the event log or the SQL server log(s), however there are a number of these much earlier on:
Login failed for user '***\*****'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: <local machine>]
I have since rebooted the server and tried again, same result but there is nothing of value in the logfile
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles
Or in the logfiles available from SSMS.
Any ideas?

According to your description, when you tried to access SSRS on a new server, you got the error message: Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: <local machine>].
State 11 corresponds to “Valid login but server access failure”, which means that SQL Server was able to authenticate you, but weren't able to validate with the underlying Windows permissions. It could be that the Windows login has no profile or that permissions
could not be checked due to UAC. To troubleshoot the problem, please refer to the following steps:
If the login is directly mapped to the list of available logins in the SQL instance, then check if the SID of the login matches the SID of the Windows Login.
Turn off UAC or running SSMS as administrator.

How to call Web URL's as values of an BW InfoObject via BEx Web

Hi experts,
I want to call Web URL´s as values of an BW InfoObject via BEx Web.
Is there any option to convert the character into a direct URL link to call the Web adress directly?
Example:
no direct URL (e.g. http://help.sap.com) to call the Web address per left click...
Any ideas?

Hi Michael,
Have you ever tried using generic module properties of analysis item. There are implementations such as com.sap.ip.bi.rig.format, maybe you can ctach up something trying that. I didn't try it myself yet though there can be solution through using modules.

Calling marketing calendar directly in web ui

Hi Experts,
We are working on CRM 2007 web ui and our requirement is to call the marketing calendar page directly in web ui. The user after connecting to the UI should be able to access the marketing calendar application instead of going to home page and navigatng from there.
We tried to change the methods in the default page and urls in component workbench, but without much success.
Is there any thing we need to do in PFCG or any customization settings need to be done?
Can any one of you guys provide us some inputs in achieving this.

You can associate a link to the Navigation Bar profile of your role, so upon logon the page pointed by the link will be loaded. By default, it is typically the homepage, but you can change that in the customizing: transaction spro, CRM -> UI Framework -> Technical Role Definition -> Define Navigation Bar Profile

Web URL in EASY DMS

Hi All,
Can we have similar functioanlity as we have in SAP GUI i.e to add Web URL directly to DIR.If yes please guide how.We have already implemented the same in SAP GUi it works fine and now we are trying the same in EASY DMS.

I have noticed there are many posts from you on easyDMS (starting from u201C what are the drawbacks.etc etc).looks like you are facing some issues in implementing the easyDMS. but that also shows that you have not gone through the proper documentation which is available with the installation of easydms in pdf formats..
you can first go through the documents carefully (step by step approach)..once you do it, you will get a very clear picture of what is easydms and how it works..after that in case you get some specific issues you can always post them in SDN..
Sometimes investing some time to learn a product will provide you more insights about product..by QnA session you wont be able to know all the features of easydms (or for any other product in general).
Plz take is in a positive way..we have experts in SDN who can help but even god helps those who help themselves

Local testing server root and web url

I would like to know if I have correctly set up my local testing server for the root folders. Very new to this.
Local site folder is at C:\xampp\htdocs\NIF\.
Test server folder is C:\xampp\htdocs\NIF\
Web URL is http://localhost/NIF/
Links are relative to document.
In case it matters, site is using ZenPhoto gallery.
I can see my index page's dynamic content in LiveView, but I'm not sure if I have the root paths correct.
Root of the online website is at http://natureinfocus.com/ with a gallery at http://natureinfocus.com/galleries
Currently an address in DW shows http://localhost/nif/galleries/ where the actual website would show http://natureinfocus.com/galleries/
I've put testing site root in a subfolder since I may have several sites.
Do I have this set up correctly or do I need to change soemthig since I've put the root in a subfolder?
Also wasn't sure if links should be set instead to relative to document or site root?

Since I have Windows 7 64 bit system., I get the usual error message about running this program only from my XAMPP directory (which everyone says to not worry about). MySQL service starts ok. Text in the windows says Apache started, but the "Start" button doesn't change to Stop and Admin button is grayed out.

Q:- Migrating version 6 Web Analysis reports directly to version 11 ??

Trying to migrate version 6 Web Analysis reports directly to version 11.1.1.2 without first migrating to version 9, because of some time constraints.
Overall it works fine, except for some issue with PV (Personal Variables) in those reports.
The PVs are present in the version 6 xml export file, but somehow not being picked up in version 11.1.1.2 Web Analysis import.
Has anyone tried to migrate version 6 Web Analysis reports to version 11.1.1.2 and faced this kind of issue?
I am wondering if there is any change in the xml tags because of which the migration from 6 to 11 is not working.
Anyone has any thoughts or ideas to quickly migrate web Analysis reports from 6 to 11. There are hundreds of reports that need to be migrated.

I think we need to change the database connection details in the Web analysis.
goto file --> Edit --> browse the database connection then change the server name in the connection details.
may be this will help to resolve your issue.

Need help! how to open a shared folder thru web browser

Hi to all LV'ers,
as the subject implies, i am trying to find a way to view the shared folder w/in the company network thru web browser. is this possible? is there a much easy way?? i never been used FTP vi's before or any other vi's to deal with this situation but i successfully used web publishing tool to make an access of LV front panel remotely using "web publishing tool". btw, im using LV 8.5.1.
my purpose for this is to let our boss to have a quick access of the data from excel files (w/ "s" because many excel file report is generated everyday for data updates) resided in remote computer (this computer runs the LV program and we can view its front panel remotely thru web publishing tool but i also need to view the folder of this computer that contains files). that is why im finding a way to have an access not only a specific excel file but a specific folder. ofcourse, we can access the shared folder thru "my network places>>entire network>>microsoft windows network" if the folder is shared but our boss is far more convenient if we LV programmers can create a button to automatically lead them to the folder containing files they needed.
I hope anyone already done dealing with this can shared their solutions.

i think what i told in my 1st msg makes things more complicated than what i really need, sorry for that.. but for sure, i need this to be done in LV because the data from excel files was generated by LV program and this LV program is displayed in our web (thru web publishing tool), see picture below.
what i want to do is to add a button here in front panel that when pushed, will show the folder consisting of several excel files. with this, i can choose what particular excel file to be opened. sorry guys i make you confused in my situation. here i attached i simple VI to let me open the excel file but unfortunately when i select the desired excel file, the dialog says "path not found". when i browse and open the excel file manually using "entire network>>microsoft windows network>>remote computer name>> shared folder>>excelfile", i can successfully opened it.
i dont know why i cannot make a valid path using my attached vi. maybe there's something wrong with my program,please let me know. the attached vi is LV 8.5.1. i will used this vi as a subvi later in the front panel shown above.

How do I change the URL to the Remote Web Access server in Windows Server 2012?

Hallo!
I have set up a Remote Dexktop Service using the "Quick" deployment method in Server Manager and everything is working greate internally, but I cannot start an app published in Remote Web Access from outside our network.
The problem is that it wants to start the using the internal URL, for example, server.domain.local, instead of the external one, for example remote.server.com.
I therefore want to know how I can change the default URL for the Remote Web Access server and all the Remote Web Apps in Windows Server 2012?
I have allready looked in Server Manager and I can change some of the deployment settings in server manager, but there is no way to alter the URL of the Remote Web Access server. See below images:
Pressing the internal URL only results in opening the internal URL.
This was very simple to do in Windows Server 2008 R2 using the tsconfig tool, but it does not seam to be any way of solving this in server manager.
A possible sollution would be to alter the registry someware in HKLM->Software->Microsoft->Windows NT->Terminal Services. But this can easaly lead to problems due to wrong format, etc. and is probably not supported.
Is there a simpler and supported way?

That option can be used to connect to any machine that you want. The error message indicates that the client machine cannot resolve the name "server.domain.local" to an IP address that it can connect to.
You have several options for configuring that tab on the RDweb site. You can even remove it entirely.

Problem in CS5 with web URL links

HI. I have a newletter with links to web URLs in it. Until inDesign CS5, they automatically "went live" in my PDF version. Since I upgraded to CS5, if there is a line break, the URL only picks up the first line, until the soft line break, so many of the links don't work. I have set it for no hyphenation... have selected the URL and made it a "hyperlink from URL"... In some cases that works and in some cases it doesn't, and I can't figure out why. What am I missing? Thank You.

I am working in CS5 (it says version 7) - it was acting just as you describe.
I got mine to work every time by doing this:
I paste the link into the inDesign document. I make sure it has the www and everything,
but it doesn't appear to need the http:// in the front of it.
Then I carefully highlight it (careful not to pick up an extra space before or after).
Then I go to the TYPE menu, select HYPERLINKS & CROSS REFERENCES
and from the pop-out CREATE NEW HYPERLINK from URL.
This works.
I have found if I need to change it I have to delete the whole area and start over, but it gets me there.
I found if I use the global command right below that I also get into trouble trying to change things later.

In my data warehouse project, data is extracted from a system (e.g. SystemA) that containing all the transactions information to the database of my data warehouse for further data analysis. I am thinking of two ways to access the required data from
SystemA. 1) SystemA provides some web services for required data retrieval or 2) Create a read-only database access role in the database of SystemA for my ETL tool to connect to SystemA's DB directly to grab the required data. Both ways should work but I am

If you can view ECLViewer in SAPGUI then no need to maintain seperate original viewer for webdms...
Please make sure that you have maintained application as
EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%
for *.dwg files in SPRO "Define workstation application in network"
also in SPRO at "setup webDMS (BSP)"
mention document types for which you are going to use *.dwg orignals.
