10.6.4 is problematic! Need fix NOW!!!
I recently updated the latest update for the Mac OS and now my fast computer is sluggish to put it mildly. First, during start up it takes nearly 2 minutes. I kid you not. Then once it was up and running the mouse never showed up. I had to unplug and re-plug it multiple times and reboot before it came back. I also have 2 external HD's 1 for transport and 1 for storage and now when I try and update the firmware to those drives they can't be found even though one or both are hooked up and I can use them as normal. Also, when I put the machine to sleep it takes quite a while to actually shut down.
These issues were never happening before the latest OS update. Please send fix ASAP!! Anyone else having similar issues or there problems since the newest update?
Antonio gave the link for restoring from the Time Machine backup, but you didn't state which kind, if any, you had. If something made by Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!, their documentation describes how to restore.

Sometimes when I put up multiple tabs that require plugins (like playing videos, flash files, etc.) an error message for plugin-container.exe pops up and all firefox windows/tabs closes. But I am still able to recover them, having to reload all contents.
How can I prevent this from happening? please reply, I hope a helpful person or mozilla staff sees this

I have the same problem. I've been having this problem since 3.6 update. Everytime I have multiple tabs my plugin container for firefox.exe sometimes crashes but i found out why. it sucks up so much of my memory and CPU. When my memory and CPU gets so high I have to use task manager to end process but when I do firefox runs much faster than before but still uses a little bit too much of my CPU and memory. But when I try to play videos, open new website (With ads and video clips) it happens again by using too much of my CPU and Memory. I have a Sony Vaio VGN-S460 with NVIDIA GeForce Go 6200 seriess, 2GB RAM, 80GB, 1.73 Intel Centrino M and I have Windows XP Home. When I had XP Home.. the Plugin Container in firefox did the same stupid thing, then I upgraded to XP Pro and same thing again, now I am using Windows 7 Pro and only happens sometimes if i am using multiple tabs. I am so fed up with the plugin container.. Opera seems to be doing good with no crashes or slow process when i use multiple tabs but it is only slows once in a while though. But I am a loyal Firefox fan. I love Firefox but i can't stand this plugin.. its so annoying.. isn't there anyway to reduce it? If not then I guess I need to buy a new laptop and hope for the better.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution but I'm another one with this same problem so am posting this in the hope Mozilla notice and address this issue. I've got a relatively old laptop running XP pro but never had problems with older versions of firefox - which I much prefer to IE. Hopefully Mozilla are counjuring up a solution but I'm a bit disappointed they did not fully test 'container.exe' in the first place. Does anybody know if a solution is being worked on and if/when it will be released?

-There are so many posts (including this one) bumming about this problem with the only advice being DISABLE IT! I have windows7 64 intel7 4GB ram W/ 4 more external. If I have this much power+memory and this still happens-WTF? Why is the container so crappy the only solution is to disable it? I archived the message and say-FIX THIS FIREFOX or tell us how!

I've also noted a lot of bugs since 3.6. After the last Adobe Flash upgrade I've noticed a lot more problems, also. The frozen screen with the "not responding" thing is driving me nuts. This was a biggie after the upgrade to 3.6

Can I just add my dissatisfaction with plug-in container.exe. Off now to see how to disable it. I've been using Firefox for almost seven years now, but it's starting to feel as if it's time to move on. Plug-in Container seems to make it much more resource-hungry and often I have to close it, close it again in Task Manager and then open it again to get any speed back.

When you do a "Fix selected problems" after a "Check for problems" by default Spybot creates backups of the fixed problems to facilitate recovery. These backups (recovery files) for Spybot-S&D By default are stored in one of the following directories:

The recovery files themselves are stored in password protected zipped folders within the Recovery directory. -
Most annoying "bugs" that need fixed NOW!
I installed Safari 3 beta and at first I loved it until a few things started to annoy me. First, when I maximize browser window, minimize it, and then restore it again, it automatically resizes to a smaller window. Also there is no other way to minimize the browser window other than clicking the minus sign on the upper right corner of browser window. I prefer to minimize by clicking the window title in the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Those minor bugs forced me to uninstall as I could not take it anymore. I happily went back to using IE7 as my default browser. However, I would prefer to use Safari 3 for Windows if those bugs are fixed! Until those issues are fixed, IE7 r0xx0rs my b0xx0rs!1!!!11!1
Pentium D 940 Windows XP Pro Dual Core 3.2GHz 1066MHz OC'ed FSBI'm so glad to finally hear someone confirm the problem with bus/auxes and control surfaces. I was beginning to think it was just me.
i'll add that packing a folder with multiple tracks and then unpacking it will duplicate the tracks.
also weird redraws just on scrolling through the mixer (example the 'EQ' text goes off center. -
downloaded Reader XI and started to recieve error 40000015, found the fourm with the patch to the registery fix, now it tells me unable to connect to the server. To many bugs with the reader, how do reinstall an older version?
I click on the launcher and nothing happens, 15 min later it will tell cant connect to the server.
My computer is a windows 8.1; 64 bit operating system. I am stationed in South Korea, but that should not affect the program. Help please.

What (3) meant to say that I could only find the link to raise a (certification) service request by going to indirect places I suspect it existed. From The main certification web site( or the FAQs) there was no obvious link to the page to raise a serice request.

thanksThe orange LED indicates that the battery is in the process of being charged. Depending upon how depleted the battery is, it might take 4 hours to completely recharge.

Ah, well, then the notes are probably gone. Did you save any of the email from that account on your computer? The notes might be there if you did.

Trying to purchase on itunes, my card was declined. Called bank, they said it is fixed now. Card is still declined and I can't update my account. what shall I do? iTunes says contact customer support. is this it?
I also have this problem. I have a debit card & I even verified every single piece of info with my bank on the phone, online, AND in writing...it's clearly an issue with itunes and I can't get anyone on the phone without a hefty charge to my account.

Ipod Classic says it needs fixing when connected. Won't connect in disk mode
I've just added all my music to a new memory stick and attempted to sync my ipod classic 160gb for the first time in about 5 years. However my laptop froze not long after it started and I had to restart the laptop.
Today I've tried syncing it again but every time I plug it in it says it needs fixing. I tell it to fix it but either it does nothing, or tells me it can't be fixed as another program is using it (even though all other windows are closed). I've tried restarting it by holding down the select and menu buttons but that didn't help at all. I then put it into disk mode as I read I could then select it in itunes and restart it. It just says 'ok to disconnect' and won't go to 'do not disconnect' or show up in itunes, and sometimes comes up that it needs to be fixed but can't as the disk can't be found.
The iPod itself still seems to be perfectly usable, and has all my old music on it.
I've looked at loads of things on google but none of it helps.I've just added all my music to a new memory stick...
How is the "new memory stick" related to this problem? Does it have ALL of your music, including the music that is currently on the iPod?
Do you use a Windows PC or a Mac?
Is the latest version of iTunes installed, or do you use an older version? -
I got my iPhone 4s screen fixed, now in my Photos it shows nothing, although in my memory usage it shows 10.5gb of photos, thats 2000 photos not showing up. What happened?! Where did all my photos go?!
WOOHOO!!! i finaly fixed the problem. Here is what to do:
Chances are if you did the same thing as me you either have
A) No album names at all for ALL your songs in your library
or
B) Have the same name for every album for ALL your songs in your library.
Here is how to fix it (yah it will take a little work but its worth getting your iPod functioning properly).
Unless you dont want to have to go and actualy set al lthe album names for every song here is what you can do:
Go through to iTunes and arange your songs by Artist name. Click the top song for your first artist, hold Shift and click the last song for that same artist (to multi select all the songs for the artist) go into get info and check the Album box. Copy the name of the artist to the Album box and hit ok.
Now when u update your ipod and go into ur Artists section the actual Artist name should show up instead of the song names.
For some reason having the same album name for all your songs messes up the organization of the iPod.

Only you can make that decision. If you say that all of your computer needs are met, then you have answered the question yourself.
I would never rely totally on iCloud for backups. I want more control than what Apple has to offer with iCloud and I don't want to have to pay for the storage that I need as the content on my iPad continues to grow. I realize that I had to buy the computer, as well, but I can backup my iPad to iTunes, backup my iTunes library with Time Machine and backup other files with another external drive that I have connected to my MacBook Pro.
I just don't trust all of my content being in the cloud or in Aplple's servers. Just a matter of choice. -

I need to now the byteslength in ncRead
I use nationals PCI CAN and had created a Read and Write Frame API in Visual c++. When I read the Can bus I got the hole message and everything is fine. The problem is that the can bus I read from send message with different byte lengths and I need to now how many bytes there is in every message? I now that this information is in the messages Frame but I can´t get it. Please help me!
