Thank you for your inquiry, I will do my best to assist you.
I understand that when you connect  when it is connected to your TV . When you do a hard reset you have audio with the speakers. When you connect headphones you get audio through both the speakers and the headphones.
Would you check the settings for your speakers.
Press the Windows key +C to open charms
Type control panel in the search bar and open it please
Click on hardware and sound to  open
Click playback
Select your speakers
Click properties
Click on the advance tab
If" allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is checked, please uncheck it and click apply
To ensure that you do not have applications minimized and still using the audio please follow these steps to close them.
1. Press Alt+Tab simultaneously and hold them down
***A window will pop up with all the apps, and their icons, that are running on your PC.
Step 2. Guide your mouse over the icons
Step 3. Right click on the icon representing the application you wish to close.
Step 4. Click “Close”.
Have you ran The HP Support Assistant    to assist with HP updates and resolving issues?
Have you tried Using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 8)  to guide you to solutions?
For the headphones. when you have them connected go to control panel/hardware and sound/sound   and configure the headphones.
Here is a link to No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8 that you may also find useful. This document address a Microsoft update issue that can cause intermittent audio.
Please let me know the outcome.

    Hello @headquarters83 ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the audio does not work on your notebook unless you perform a hard reset. The notebook model you've referenced doesn't exist. Can you confirm if you have the 15-r029wm or the 15-r030wm please?
It sounds like there may be a connection issue with the speakers. Does the same issue persists with headphones?
Also, does it only happen when closing the lid or putting the notebook to sleep?
If it only happens with the speakers it would rule out the soundcard or operating system and means the speakers need to be reseated or replaced. If the issue persists with headphones it could be an issue with the soundcard or Windows.
Make sure your soundcard is up to date. You can download them at the HP - Drivers & Downloads webpage. You will need the exact model or product number to use this page and the operating system you're using. For information on finding your product and model numbers click here: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? To see which version of Windows you are using click here: Which Windows operating system am I running?
I look forward to your reply!

  • Why does my footage Slow down and loose audio when imported to after effects cs6?

Whenever I import video of any kind into after effects, it slows down and looses audio. It happens for every video. The weird thing is, it seems like it doesnt happen to anyone else on the internet. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!!! I am about to cry. I cant do anything with this stupid software! If there is a solution please tell me. Its really annoying.

    mov. Files
    H.264 codec

Slows down when? When you preview? Do you know how to preview?
If you are pressing the space bar to preview the video then the behavior you are seeing is normal. AE will not playback in real time with autio unless you do a ram preview (look it up). You must learn to use the software.

  • Elements 8 - loosing audio

I moved to Windows 7, 64-bit, and was therefore forced to abandon my beloved Elements 4 for version 8.    The first thing I noticed was some MPEGS lost the audio while importing into Elements. Bummer.   Anyone else have this problem?
Also the $20 rebate file never opens.
    Change... yuck.

These files are downloaded from my Sony Camcorder to the computer.  The format is .MPG.
Interestingly, some files import to PE8 with audio intact.  Some loose audio.
    This never happened with PE4.

  • Why does my wife loose audio from me after 20 min.

I have no problems connecting to my wife with her new iPad3 when I call her with my iPod4 but I just installed FaceTime on my MacBook Pro and once I connect with her she looses audio from me after 20 minutes into the call. If I call her back she does not get any audio. When I call her 2 days later with my MacBook again it works for about the first 20 minutes and she looses audio again. I love my wife and want to talk to her for more then 20 minutes every 2 days and do it on a larger screen then my iPod any help please?
Seems this is the place for answers as the only responce from Apple is try the forum we don't support our work just sell it and leave the suport up to the users.
Pretty lame eh? But I guess thats why your all here you found that out a while ago i bet.
    Thanks

Batteries die, that is a fact of life if. Most batteries only last a year or two with heavy use. As you appear to use your battery a great deal, your battery will lose its life very quickly. Keep this in mind if you get a new battery (which I would recommend at this point) try not to use the battery bellow 15% charge as the battery loses the most life in the last 15% of the charge. Also, unless you really need to use the battery all the time, plug in. There is nothing wrong with using the battery for a few hours every day, but if you use it all the time, your cycle count will go up fast, and you'll go through batteries fast.

  • IPod touch looses audio in left channel when cable moves

Whenever I slightly nudge any headphone cable up or to the left on my ipod touch the audio on the left channel completely goes silent. I sent my ipod touch in for a replacement, but Apple says they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I specifically told them what the problem is with this iPod and they neglected to listen to the customer's experience with the product, which I might add is still under the manufacturers warranty.
The audio is fine when the headphone cable is completely still, but whenever it moves slightly up or to the left with the tiniest nudge against my pants, finger, etc it looses audio in the left channel. Seeing how Apple fails to satisfy an angry customer, I will now turn to the forum as you are the last hope at saving this piece of garbage. Do you know of any fixes?
I worked hard to get this overpriced piece of junk and it craps out on me after a year. I will never by an Apple product again (seeing also how my other two ipod 5 generation videos both had hardware failure as well).

u have to get a new jack if u do not want it i will take it and get it fixed this has happend to me many times

  • Loosing audio when printing to video

    I'm working with FCE HD 3.0. I use a Powermac G5-2x1.8. Memory: 3 GB.
    Systemdrive: 150 GB.
    Internal scratchdrive: 280 GB.
System: Mac OSX 10.3.9. My camera is a Sony HDR-HC3.
My scratchdisk is filled with 188 GB.
I edited a 40 min. movie. When I play the timeline everything is fine.
When I print to tape I lose some parts of teh musictracks (track 5 and 6), Sometimes I even loose little parts of the clipsound (track 1 and 2).
Befor I print to video I render video and audio, use 'mixdown' and refresh videodevice.
How to get a good result?
    G5-2x1.8   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Hi(Bonjour)!
If there is a song bought on iTune Music Store, you can't use this track.
Did you render an audio mixdown before export ?
Try a test version with just one minute of movie. (set in and out point in timeline and do the print to tape operation).
Try a print to tape from a cold start mac.
Drag your playhead around your sequence before printing (it's seem that this process load the cahe memory, at least in my own experience)
If the problem is still there, you can also do an audio track mix quicktime conversion export (aiff 16 bit) from your sequence, import it into a new sequence, open your previous edited one in editor (option clik), do uncheck audio A1 and A2 target, and drag the video content on V1 in the new sequence. Drag your exported audio on A1 A2.
Do a check for the synch of your movie.
Do not forget to do an audio mixdown before print to tape.
Does your hard drive is fragmented or full at more than 80% level?

  • HELP!---Quicktime Export Loosing Audio

    Thanks for reading this.
I have a quicktime that I downloaded. It's called Batman Dead End. Perhaps you've seen it. Well I saved it from the site and now want to bring it into after effects so that I can crop out the black bars, so I can save it as an MPEG4 file and copy it to my PSP.
My problem is when I try to import into after effects, I get an error. AE doesn't like the compression codec or something. However this isn't my Quicktime Problem...
My problem is that I can't export the Quicktime file using QTP 7.0.2, with AUDIO. Video is not a problem. I tried many different codecs, but I am never presented with the option to export my audio. When I save the file in whatever codec, I loose the audio.
These are the codecs I've tried:
    MPG4
    MPG4 (ISMA)
    MPG4 H.264
    QUICKTIME MOVIE
    AVI
Here's one thing... I tried DV. It gave me the audio option and the video exported nicely out as a .DV file. However I am sure I won't always have such nice big video to export without it looking like crap. If I am downloading a movie trailer (as I like to do) then I will have a problem saving those files as .DV.
Can you guys & gals help?

What's the format of the original clip? If it's MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, you've run up against a limitation WRT QT & muxed audio tracks in those formats.
You'll need to use MPEG Streamclip to demux/transcode into another format.

  • Im loosing audio when I enable Multi-Camera

First, a rundown of my system and software:
Vista Ultimate x64 Service Pack 2
    Q6600 Quad Core
    8 Gig
    (2) Western Digital 74GB 10,000 RPM SATA Raptor's
    Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
Im just now delving into multi-camming in Premiere, and, I can get it to work perfectly, to a point.
I will describe, briefly, and quick, because I am good up to the point that I experience my problem.
I create my first sequence, import three video clips, kill the audio on clips 2, and 3, set my clip markers, synchronize based on numbered markers, then create another sequence, with only 1 video, and 1 audio track,  to nest the first sequence in.
Drag the first sequence into the second, and scrub it. I have audio, as I should at this point.
But as soon as I right-click on that single video track, and enable Multi-Camera, I no longer have any audio.
All video windows, and aspects are there, and working perfectly.
If I go up to Edit, and then Undo, to dis-enable the Multi-Camera, then I get my audio back again.
Any tutorial, or instructional video I watch on this process, they still have audio, after enabling Multi-Camera, as you should.
Why do you think I am loosing my audio, just at that step?

Believe it or not, I ended up solving this mystery myself.
And the explanation is quite long, and tediously detailed, but, I’ll try to explain while keeping it as brief, and concise as possible.
The problem actually lies in the setting up, track wise, of your initial sequence.
Ill first explain the correct way, and then I’ll explain why my way did not work.
Be very careful to design your initial sequence, given all the details of the video clips that you’re going to use.
If you’re going to use 3 video clips, and all 3 video clips have stereo audio tracks, design your initial sequence with just that, 3 video tracks, and 3 “stereo” audio tracks.
But what you have to remember is, and this may be where the misconception comes into play, but, within Premiere, in the “New Sequence” box, under the, “Tracks” tab, is where you setup how many video tracks, and audio tracks you want this sequence to have. So, if you have 3 video clips with mono sound, naturally you would want to change the setting to “3”, for the number of video tracks, and “3” for the number of mono audio tracks, under the audio section.
    Wrong.
First thing under the Audio section, is the setting for the, “Master” audio track, or, audio track #1.
So, if you would have followed the above scenario, you now would have 4 audio tracks, instead of just 3 mono as you entered.
    Why?
Being that the “Master” audio track, or audio track #1, is by default set to “Stereo”, via its drop down selection menu, Premiere will not put any of your, “mono” track info on audio track #1, because audio track #1 is set to stereo, so it will start filling, “after” track #1, and on downwards, creating a new, or 4th audio track, as in, your 3 mono tracks will go on track 2, track 3, and the newly created, track 4.
The correct way to have done the above scenario, would have been to create 3 video tracks, 1 “master” audio track of mono, and 2 mono audio tracks. That would give you 3 total mono audio tracks.
Always remember to use the “Master” audio track, as your first audio track.
So what happened in my scenario?
Well, first, I forgot to remember that the “master” audio track, or audio track #1, had to be manually assigned by using its drop down selection menu, to pick either mono, stereo, etc.  And by me not setting it, its default state was stereo.
Well, I had 3 video clips, only one clip had audio, and it was mono.
So, immediately, that means that my mono audio “WILL NOT” be on audio track #1.
    Well, so what?
Well, I also discovered through tedious trial and error, of creating 3 seperate mono videos of me speaking 1 on video 1, 2 on video 2, and 3 on video 3, that once you enable Multi-Camera, in your second sequence, Premiere tracks, …you guessed it, audio track #1.
And at this point, I have nothing on audio track #1, because it was set, by default, to stereo.
Thus why I had no audio, as soon as I enabled Multi-camera.
The true moral, just pay close attention to setting up your initial sequence, and you “should” have no problems.
Thanks once again to all who attempted to help, you folks are great.

  • How to avoid loosing audio tracks from my ipod touch if i wanna update to OS 4.2

if i updated my iPod touch OS to 4.2 will i loose all audio tracks as i dont have them in my itunes library?? and how can i avoid that?

    If yu can update:
    - Transfer iTunes purchases to the new computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - Transfer other music by using a third-party program like on of those discussed here:
    newer copy
    - Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup. Your iPod wll also be updated.
Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music.

  • Loosing audio when printing to tape.

I used FCE to edit my DV-material. It wasn't ever a problem.
I bought a HD-camera (Sony HDR-HC3) and edited a 40 minutes film from about 4 hours footage with FCE HD-3.0.
Editing is no problem. Making a DVD is O.K. But printing to tape is horrible. I loose parts of the music-tracks. Sometimes dropped frames etc. (And it takes a lot of time: about 4 hours to render!).
Many times I tried to print to tape. The problems exist every time in different places (except one place where the music always disappears).
I don't know how to loose this problem. I always mixdown audio, remove prefs etc. but till now no positiv result.

i have music video in movie section of my itunes and use right click "convert to ipod" the visual clip is on my ipod but no audio. i have just upgraded my itunes and up graded my ipod software too... can someone help me please

Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
See:iPod plays video but not audio.
You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
