£18 charge for a call that did not disconnect??

Not impressed about this at all.  several times over the last 2 months my wife has made calls to o2 to get my daughter's iPhone unlocked.  Most of these calls laster 3-10 mins at most.  Apart from anything else the call centre operators are under pressure to disconnect ASAP whether they have helped or not.  Bit like BT really!!!
We recently had a phone bill and I noticed our 'other calls' was very hight.  We phoned BT and the operator said it was for calls to 0844s and such like.  Luckily we are registered for billing online and having sifted through we found one call to o2 listed as 5 hrs 59 minutes!!!!!  There is NO way my wife called them that long and couldnt have even if we wanted too, especially not at 9pm.  Clrearly she has hung up after the call as have o2 but it seems the line has not cleared.
To me this is an absolute disgrace.  Even if the line had not cleared our end (and we ALWAYS presse the red call finish button) it should have cleared from the o2 end but no.  Result, nearly a 6 hous call logged and an £18 bill for it.
I have not yet called BT as I am too busy to passed from pillar to post to no end of departments all who will doubtless need to put you through to some else, even after having negotiated 25 different IVR queues.  I am not at all happy about this though and intend to complain, for hwat good it will do.  I think the the Ombudsman will be better to complain to than BT.
What have we got to resort to now.  Pulling the damned phone line out of the wall to ensure calls disconnect???  Maybe just time to bin BT altogether!!!  Time to start looking VERY closely at Virgin and such like I think, especially as we are out of all contracts now and current BT offers are rubbish.

    Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the track there to be downloaded.
    If not, contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department from their Support page (click "Contact Support" and follow the instructions to get to the contact form) and explain the problem to them.

    Last year I ordered subscription Croatia Unlimited. For a period of 12 months. I expected that I will get an offer from Skype if I want to renew my subscription. That did not happen. Instead, this year, two days ago, they just charged my credit card and informed me that I have ordered another year of the same subscription, which I did not.
    The charge is 50.88 € for a period of another 12 months that I did not order and that I do not need. There is no one to contact to ask for my money back. No e-mail I could write to. I feel cheated. I feel Skype has stole my money. It does not feel good. If there is anybody out there who knows how I can ask and get my money back, I would appreciate any help.
    If I don't get my money back, I'll make sure to advise everyone against Skype. One may think that means nothing, but people actually take my advice. To think I actually brought some of my friends and clients to Skype.

    unfortunately, in case you did not realize by now, I presume Skype does not even read the posts at this forum, let alone answer on any or act upon receiving any.
    The way I see it, they put this forum together just so that members would have some place to write their complaints an just so that members would feel like they actually have complained about anything. In reality, this is just a tool so that we, Skype members, could exchange bad experiences with someone and then, Skype hopes, we would feel better and forget about money we are all missing, and that went to Skype.
    I support your claims about fraudulent billings, however if this kind of Skype billing started 3/26/12 and has been going on until now, why did you leave your credit card active until now? If you don't have Skype account, it is fair to assume that someone else has used your credit card to pay for their own Skype account. If that is the case, Skype has no reason not to charge because to them it seems legit.
    What you should have done is have your bank or credit card company mark those payments as fraud, refund your money and if necessary cancel your card. And then get a new card. In this way, who ever has used your card to commit fraud, his Skype account will be canceled because Skype will have no means to charge from.
    Best thing for you to do now is to cancel your card and to ask for a refund from bank or credit card company. They should also be responsible if you did not authorize those payments.

    There are two Forums within the iTunes Category (Under iTunes for Windows an iTunes for Mac) that relate to Apps (Depending which it was bought for)
    You should have Email receipts for other purchases which will give you contact details for any issue with the iTunes Store.
    If you have the actual receipt then the Report a Problem takes you to that purchase record in iTunes

    I came to a Verizon store (Harbor east branch on Fleet street, Baltimore., MD) two months ago to purchase screen protectors for my iphone. Before i left the assistant asked if there was anything else they could help me with. I said the home button wasn't working properly so they offered to take a look at it.
    After inspecting the iphone the assistant said the issue could not be fixed and offered to order a replacement iphone for no additional charges, since the inspection had not detected water damage.
    I gladly agreed! Received my replacement ipone, mailed the old one back. it was two months ago.
    Now two months later i see a $299 charge for the replacement phone i received in march because  they detected water damage in my old iphone.
    How ridiculous is that? I did not ask for it. If i knew there was a chace of water damage why would i risk a $300 charge replacing my iphone when i could just wait a few months for the iphone 5 free upgrade?! My old phone worked fine, except for the home button being not sensitive.
    And now you're expecting me to pay $300 for what?
    The store has to take responsibility for this. The charge needs to be taken off my account. My whole family and i have been verizon customers for 5 years and i cant believe this is happening now!
    If no action is taken to resolve this problem im going to file a complain to FFC Better Business Bureau.
    I'm hoping to hear from a verizon representative as soon as possible. Customer service on the phone would not help.
    I can not believe how difficult it is to find contact information to get in touch with the right people who will be in position to help.

    So, my son's iPhone 4s was having issues with the power button and the home button.  I bought it less than a year ago and have also purchased the insurance.  That said these kept sticking and didn't work, so we took it into the Verizon store where a sales clerk took it to the back and after 15 minutes came back to tell us that his iPhone was broken, and that the problems were common and we could get a new phone under the warranty.  We asked 5 questions along the lines of are you sure?  They said yes.  They looked up our information and NOT ONCE did they advise us to go thru the Insurance option that I pay $9.99 a month for.  This issue would be covered by warranty for SURE!  They gave us a box to ship it back to Verizon in, ordered him a new phone, and wala it came in the mail 3-5 days later.  THEN 10 days AFTER that, I get an email from Verizon telling me that they "disallowed" the warranty claim as the issue was not due to a malfunction of the phone but some kind of damage -- which then they included a picture of (and the picture did NOT even show on the email).  They also wanted me to know that I would be seeing a $299 charge for the replacement phone.  I didn't even PAY $299 for the original phone back when I bought it - there was a $199 promo deal going on.  I called customer service - what a CLUSTER!  They pulled up the email and could SEE the picture I couldn't  - and the notation apparently saying that the phone had suffered WATER DAMAGE.  This PHONE has been treated like GOLD -- it never had ANY Water damage, they are just trying to get out of honoring the Warranty.  WHY would the service tech @ the Verizon store tell us it was a common issue covered under warranty AFTER inspection?  WHY would he tell us that it would be taken care of and to send the phone into Verizon with a new replacement on the way??  The Customer Service person then shared with me "oh - I see you have the Asurion Insurance" - I said YES, I did get that when we bought the phone.  She said we should have SENT the damaged phone thru Insurance for replacement.  OMG!  We RELIED UPON THEIR OWN employee to discern the nature of the issue.  If they had looked up the account and saw I had insurance, why did they not go that route?  What a *****.  So net net - I AM NOT PAYING $299 for that phone - they can send me to a collection agency.  Honestly what a racket and what kind of employees are working there - incompetent.  I will NOT pay for that phone.  The worst case should have been I had to pay the insurance deductible, but we relied on the Verizon store employee to diagnose the problem and provide recommended action - which WAS WRONG!

    If these charges are being made to a credit or debit card, the most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
    Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. 
    If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account and it will be up to your bank to handle.

    Once you buy it you have bought it and Apple generally does not do refunds.  You can ask but it will have to be an exception.
